Okay, this message did not help much either. May be its just me not getting it - I have no clue what you mean by "Xcelsius Enterprise interactive viewing". I believe (and I could be wrong) that Xcelsius Enterprise is just a product name/version from a licensing perspective which gives you more functionality from some other versions (Engage etc), but I don't know what exactly your question is when you talk abotu interactive viewing.

Hi, I am a consultant looking into Xcelsius and found the following products.
1. Xcelcius Engage 2008 Full Product for $895.
2. Xcelcius Engage Server 5 Cal $7500.
I am looking to build a dashboards for my SAP Client with the dashboards being driven by BI 7.x Queries. Can the client purchase the Full Product for $895 to use for dashboards ( if I'm the only developer) connected to BI 7.x Queries? or do they need to purchase the $7500 product

Does "Business Objects platforms" mean SAP so I can't use the full product for this;.

The $895 Engage product is for self contained Dashboards; I don't believe there are connection options. Engage Server will allow you to connect to Non-Business Objects Data sources via Web Services or XML mapping in order to retrieve data. To connect to Business Objects data sources (via Live Office or Query As A Web Service) requires the Xcelsius Enterprise edition and associated licences.

Xcelcius frontend for SQL Server database, minimum license and componets

Experienced with SQL, Crystal, and B1, new to Xcelcius, and confused by components and licensing.
I've been experimenting with Xcelcius Present 2008. Now I want to create an Xcelcius dashboard for a SQL Server 2005 database (Business One company data). For the moment, I am not interested in a reports server, scheduler, etc. If I just want to create a Crystal Report with Xcelcius visuals embedded that displays dynamic SQL Server data to one user, what do I need to buy and install?

Wich version of Xcelcius i need

I'm a little confused about all the Xcelcius version available on the market.
I'm gone try to explain our situation and maybe someone can suggest the best
version I should get.
We have a SQL Server database that contain all the data to be analysed and we have a SharePoint portal server website available for people on internet.
what we would like to do is to put some reports on the sharepoint portal server that are connected live with datasources (Wich is SQL Server) ... When the data change in SQL, the report should change as well.
We have 2 users that are creating the report with Xcelcius but an infinit number of users that will be able to open those report (Users from internet and internal users as well). Those reports has to be openned from sharepoint portal server.
So, wich version of Xcelcius that i need (Engage or engage server ?)

BO tools licensing on SAP clients now

We have a dashboarding requirement to be delivered in 2008.
As a SAP licensed customer, can we start using the BO toolset now so our migration path will be easier next year?
What would be the point in creating something in WAD or Visual Composer this year, if we have to change it to XCelcius(+) next year? We would like to create it using the BO toolset of XCelcius this year so there would be minimal impact.
Would we have to pay licensing for this, this year? It is apart of the SAP suite now, but how is the licensing handled?

Hi Tracey,
As far as I know to use the BO toolset you would have to pay additional fees at this time.
On the upgrade to Xcelsius, it is relevant to bear in mind that the BI7 tools (Bex and WAD) will be supported until 2013, and extended maintenance till 2016, so you have the potential of 8 years before your development is not supported.
Looking at the roadmap, and knowing some of the hard times implementing BI7 back in 2006 I'd have thought that in 2009 it will not be the slick finished tool, and will probably require a number of OSS notes etc...
It will also depend when in 2009 the toolset changes, I would have thought if it is not released to mid 2009, unless on ramp up, a customer would probably not want to upgrade to the new tools till at least 2010.
I suppose I am basically saying if you have a need today for the dashboard then use the current BI7 toolset. If your need could be delayed for at least a year then you may want to wait, but you will probably not get to see the amalgamted products until 2009 anyway.

DPS Enterprise License for Apple's B2B Store

Hey everyone,
we developed an app and successfully tested it on our iPads via DPS. We aim to distribute the app via the B2B store from Apple and the tutorial PDF from Adobe tells me that we need an "Enterprise license" for DPS.
Our company uses Adobe Creative Cloud and I am wondering now whether this already means that we have an "Enterprise license" for DPS, as well?

Adobe Muse APTEE Licensing NOT WORKING!!

I am an IT Professional working for a major University in Missouri. We have an Apple computer lab of 26 20" iMacs, all running Adobe Creative Cloud with an Enterprise license. This license includes Adobe Muse (with its own serial number). We use Active Directory to manage users/group policies on all computers, and manage users on our Apple computers.
According to Adobe's support site, you can create a prov.xml file using APTEE and then apply it to serialize the Muse product installation for a computer lab environment.
I can only get this to work for EXISTING users. When a NEW user logs in to his or her account, they run Muse, and it asks for a subscription, as though Muse is not serialized. According to Adobe, you click on Existing Subscription anyway, enter your Adobe ID, and then it should still open. It doesn't..........it says the "subscription does not have a license for Adobe Muse" and gives the option to BUY or QUIT.
HELP!!!!!

App-V 5 Adobe Creative Cloud (CC) Enterprise Licensing Error 213:19

Hello, I've posted this on Adobe forums but also posting here to see if anyone else has experienced/overcome this issue.
I'm attempting to create an App-V 5 sequence for Adobe Creative Cloud Enterprise software, but I appear to be getting licensing errors when launching the App-V sequence.
From what I understand in Adobe Create Cloud Enterprise, the licensing restrictions which tie the license to the machine have now been removed so that the base packages can be created with serial numbers and can be included within build images etc as opposed
to creating a trial package and then using a serialization file at install/launch time.
To start with I've created a package using the Adobe Creative Cloud Packager tool (CCP) for just the Illustrator CC application which includes the serial number. I've then sequenced this package using App-V 5 SP1.
When I run this app-v sequence on a test machine , Illustrator loads but I end up with a 213:19 error. Looking in the amt3.log the full error is

I've tested out modifying permissions on the following folders within the app-v package under root but this has no effect.

I've also tried creating a package using a trial licence and then using the adobe_prtk.exe tool to serialize the product at launch (startprocess event in userconfig file) with no success.

I have read those articles (multiple times :-)) I've installed the required c++ redistributables on the sequencer and also on the test machines.
I'm not getting any errors being reported in the App-V eventlogs.
I initially used the adobe_prtk.exe tool to serialize the app-v application at launch via startprocess in the userconfig file as shown. This runs but it doesn't work around this issue.

Following that I read that AAMEE 3.1 removed the (http://blogs.adobe.com/oobe/2012/09/aamee-3-1or-why-puffer-fish-is-a-delicacy.html) machine to license issue
therefore allowing packages to be created using serial numbers and to be included within build images.
As I'm packaging Creative Cloud (not CS6), I'm assuming this has been carried into the Creative Cloud Packager for Enterprise which now must be used.

Since the 90s I've created a few different accounts (different email addresses) and have licenses scattered across a couple. I'd love to get those licenses merged into one. Can anyone help me with this?

Simply choose Help --> Deactivate in both apps with the option to erase the serial from the system, then reinstall your software on the new system and activate it.

We're experiencing a growing problem with our users in several different domains running in to Microsoft Office 2013 x32 'activation' issues. We use KMS for licensing, which works properly, but some of the machines (~20-30 out of 1000+) sporadically
throw the following error:
'Microsoft Office can't find your license for this application. Microsoft Office will now exit.'
We know it's not an issue with the licenses per se, since they work on and off and we can force KMS activation correctly / talk to the KMS servers.
It appears to be an issue with the Software Protection service not starting properly. In Event Viewer, we see the following:
'Software protection service failed to start due to the following error- the service did not respond in a timely fashion.
Event 7000'
This is occurring on a variety of machines in a variety of environments, all fully patched with the latest Office updates. It's inconsistent, and the 'manually restart the Software Protection Service' solution is not viable as it's occurring on many
different workstations. Office repairs have also been unsuccessful.
Has anyone else come across this? Or have any idea why the Software Protection Service might be sporadically failing? Maybe an Office update in the last 2-3 months?

How many people can use Adobe Forms per license/how many computers can we download software to?

Adobe FormsCentral is a web-based app so there is nothing to download - you access from the web browser.
Each users who creates forms needs a license of FormsCentral. In a month or so you'll be able to by a team pack (5,10,25) at reduces prices for a larger group who wants to create forms.

Is there any way that I can purchase one license (with educational discount) and use it for BOTH my Mac and PC?
Per the licensing: when I buy a copy I can install it on two PCs OR two Macs, but not one of each, correct? I personally think this is a bit ridiculous and refuse to buy two copies.

I don't think you have to buy backup discs unless you personally need them, although they're only $20 apiece anyway and not a bad idea to have
