Licensed owner?

Dear Friends I am an enthusiatic newbie to Logic Pro v7.0!
I just received my version (used) form an ebay purchase as I couldn't afford a brand-new buy.
It came with an install disk, content disk, what appears to be all manuals and a USB plug that reads "retail" assembled in Germany.
I was able to load the program with the key.
BUT am I now the licensed owner and will I be able to upgrade v 7.2 which I just ordered?
I have 3 days to return this item if it is not a full upgradable retail version so any of your advice will be grealty appreciated!
Thanks in advance for your help with this.
Kerim
P.S. is there a seperate CD for plug ins like EX24 or did they load with the logic install?
The EX24 edit window appears grey from the audio menu.

Currently all subscriptions (with the exception of Team Ready) require a separate Adobe ID for each Creative Cloud Membership. Its not possible to have two memberships under the same Adobe ID.
Adobe has a Team Ready offering for customers interested in a volume license for Creative Cloud. This is a TLP volume license to Master Collection CS6 and includes licensing for Lightroom and Muse. Customers with this will transition to Creative Cloud Team once available later in 2012. This product uses only a single serial # and Adobe ID. It's not the same as Creative Cloud Membership like what is currently available, but rather a means to get customers setup with something now to transition to the volume license Creative Cloud Team offering once available. If this sounds like something you would be interested in please contact a local Adobe Reseller for more info.

I just read over the terms of the introductory offer and it is a 1 per customer offer, so it would be 49.95/mo for a second account.

  • License Question - Adobe Edge Inspect

    Ok, here is the problem. We have 3 Creative Suite Cloud licenses for 3 members of our team to use at work. Awesome.
    We have now built a mobile testing station which is one computer connected to numerous mobile devices for testing purposes. We want to Use Adobe Edge Inspect on this computer in order to do this. But when I install Creative Cloud and try and set Edge Inspect up it tells me I need a paid version in order to connect multiple devices. Do I need to buy a whole new Creative Suite License for this computer in order to use this one 'lite' application? Or can I use one of our existing licenses so that I can run this application on the testing station?
    Thanks
    Mike

    If the installation would be getting used at the same time that the other license owners would be using their CC installations then you likely need to have a separate license for the test station.  The CC licensing allows for installation on two machines with the exception that the subscription is only in use for one machine at any given time.

  • I'm in posession of Adobe CS6 Standard license. What ist the subscription price for Indesign CC for one year?

    Hi,
    Is there a bargain for Adobe CS6 owner?
    Thanks in advance,
    Janusz

    Hi Garima,
    Many thanks for the quick answer and the link!
    Not really, the list is a common list with subscription prices and says nothing about upgrade prices.
    Is the subscription price the same for new users and for long year Adobe CS license owner? Do you know it?

  • Licensing Framework for Java

    Hello,
    does anyone know where one can find a freely distributed licensing framework for java applications, or suggest any solution to unblock certain functionalities only for the users provided with a licence? (talking of experimental software that I developed, not minded for commerce at present status) .

    there are some java libraries that are free for non
    commercial use but require to purchase a license for
    commercial applications.yes there is. This is true also of non java software.
    There is also the GPL (GNU public license) which allows you to distribute the code, but only in an open source way.
    My question is : what if some one use this library in
    commercial app without purchasing licence ? how can
    the owner of the librairy control the use of his
    work. and if you use it for commercial purposes what
    will happen ?Then you have a lawsuit. The damaged party may seek compensation and potentially damages from the license violator. The license owner may also seek an injunction

  • Enterprise Manager Licensing

    Hello,
    so I have read the whole document "Oracle® Enterprise Manager Licensing Information 12c Release 1 (12.1) Part Number E24474-06" ( http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24628_01/license.121/e24474.pdf ), and still I have no idea whether we can use Enterprise Manager Cloud Control in our environment without purchasing additional licenses.
    In detail, we have several Oracle databases, some with Standard One, some Standard, some with Enterprise license, some EE databases have also additional options and packs, others have no options or packs licensed. The Cloud Control would be a single instance installation without any advanced options or packs.
    Among others, I have read the following things in the documentaion:
    - Enterprise Manager includes a restricted-use license of the Oracle Database for use as the Oracle Management Repository only.
    - For each target listed, you can enable or disable the management packs associated with the target.
    and
    - The base installation of Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 12c includes several features free of charge with the purchase of any Oracle software license or Support contract.
    My questions now are:
    1. From what I understand is, when I own any Oracle software license, I have also a license to install and use Oracle® Enterprise Manager Cloud Control, and I can use this installation to administer all targets in reach, as long as the target I manage has an appropriate license, regardless who is the license owner of the target (we don't own the license of some targets)?
    2. I an earlier release documentation I have read that I can use an Oracle Database as the Enterprise Manager repository and RMAN catalog, but I cannot find it anymore in the current documention, is this still valid that the license for EM repo and RMAN catalog is free of charge?
    3. I plan to use EM and to not buy a license, so where can I find some valid comprehensive information, without asking someone who is specialised on selling licenses? Why isn't it covered in depth in the actual documentation?

  • Portal License Install Problems

    Andrew:
    In your <WLCS 2.01 install dir>\bin\win32\sethome.bat file (assuming you are
    running WinNT), the location of the license should be included in a pair of
    CLASSPATHs, i.e.,
    REM ------------------ UTILITY CLASSPATH --------------------
    SET
    UTILITY_CLASSPATH=%WL_COMMERCE_HOME%\license;%WL_COMMERCE_HOME%\lib\collections.zip
    REM ------------------ WEBLOGIC CLASSPATH ------------------------

    You don't need to include WebLogicCommerceLicense.xml in your classpath as
    long as the license directories are correctly specified for UTILITY_CLASSPATH
    and WEBLOGIC_CLASSPATH as above.
    If all that seems to be okay, also make sure that you have a license file
    (WebLogicCommerceLicense.xml) in the correct place for WLS 5.1 and WLCS
    2.01. They should be in <WLS5.1 install dir>\license and <WLCS2.01 install
    dir>\license.
    Hope that is somewhat helpful.

  • Perpetual license and creative cloud update popup window

    I initially downloaded a 30 day free trial of lightroom from Adobe website which I guess is from the "cloud". I since have purchased a perpetual license that used a new serial #. When I log into my computer I keep getting an annoying creative cloud update window saying there is an update. Is this update window only for creative cloud downloaded software and not perpetual license owners? If it is, how do I disable or remove this annoying cloud update pop up feature from my Mac.

    Hi Loveppro11,
    Please let us know the version of Mac you are using.
    Naviagte to Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers and uninstall Creative cloud.
    Run the Adobe Cleaner to remove any leftover ruminants: http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html.
    Download and Install CC desktop from:https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud .

  • Licensing questions CS4 from JPN

    Hello,
    I have a great opportunity to buy CS4 suite design standard from one guy in my home town. He is the 2nd owner of the suite and originally the package was bought in Japan. Can CS4 purchased in Japan be used in Europe for commercial uses? Or is Adobe license restricting the use in some way?
    Thank you for reply.

    There are no restrictions in terms of your stated concerns. However, you need to make sure of the following:
    (1)     Both previous license owners no longer have any copies of the software installed on their systems.
    (2)     Neither of the previous license owners used this CS4 software as the basis of updating to a newer version (i.e., CS5, CS5.5, or CS6) of an Adobe suite. If they did, the license for CS4 cannot be sold or otherwise transferred to others.
    (3)     Both previous license owners have deactivated the software from their systems.
    (4)     Assuming that one or another of these users registered the software, they must go to the Adobe website and fill out the paper work transferring the license to you.

    I am a long-term user of Lightroom as a standalone product with a perpetual licence. As a retired person on limited income, it is very disappointing to me that Adobe have introduced the 'Creative Cloud' (CC) subscription service in order for me to be able to continue upgrading this excellent product. It will be for me too expensive at the minimum cost of £9 per month. The additional services that CC brings are personally of no relevance or usefulness. Adobe should be prepared to support existing users who are, like myself, non commercial, amateur photographers by giving them the simple opportunity to upgrade to Lightroom 6 as a standalone, perpetual licence product. As a member of a camera club I know my co-members who use Lightroom are equally disappointed by this move to a subscription-only service.

  • How do I set up multiple Creative Cloud accounts for the same login?

    I have a number of Macs of various flavors.  I want to install Creative Cloud apps on four of these units.
    I have a subscription currently which I am using for my MBP 17, and a 27" iMac.
    I want to add an account for my MB Air and Mac Pro, and I'm willing to double my subscription fees to do it.  (I use different apps on each of the computers, though I like the idea of having the ability to use them all on each.) How do I accomplish this addtional subscription without having to add a new Adobe account?
    Second Question:
    I have the one-year special on my current subscription due to licensed PS 5.5. ($29.95/mo).  Would I be eligible on my second subscription for the same deal due to the license on the PS 5.5, or would I qualify due to being a Acrobat Pro 8 owner... or Licensed owner of previous versions of PS?  OR.... would I immediately be paying $49.95/mo for the second account?
    Either way, I'm in. Just want to do it all under one account if at all possible.
    Thanks in advance for resolution.  Cheers.

  • How to get the page call stack

    Is there any way to get a list of files used in building a
    single page? What I need is to be able to see what page called the
    custom tag from within that custom tag. Using getBaseTemplatePath
    doesn't work because it only shows the top level page, not the
    actual file that called the custom tag. Take the following
    structure for instance:
    /webroot/mydir/myfile.cfm
    /webroot/mydir/myincludes/includefile.cfm
    /webroot/customtags/thecustomtag.cfm
    If myfile.cfm cfincludes includedfile.cfm and then
    includefile.cfm calls thecustomtag.cfm, thecustomtag.cfm thinks
    myfile.cfm called it. Which is wrong, and a bit stupid.
    I've tried the back door method:
    <cfset objFactory = CreateObject( "java",
    "coldfusion.server.ServiceFactory" ) />
    <cfset objDebugging = objFactory.GetDebuggingService()
    />
    <cfset qEvents = objDebugging.GetDebugger().GetData()
    />
    <cfdump var="#qEvents#">
    But found out later that this only works with debugging
    turned on in CF admin AND no IP restrictions are set (unless the
    IPs for the clients are listed there).
    This should be a very simple task, one would think. Any
    suggestions?

    We CFInclude the following snippet into all project files
    when this functionality is needed:
    <CFScript>
    // Init Template Management
    myName = getFileFromPath(getCurrentTemplatePath());
    if(NOT isDefined('TemplateManagement')){
    TemplateManagement = structNew();
    TemplateManagement.cnt = 0;
    else{
    TemplateManagement.cnt = TemplateManagement.cnt + 1;
    if(NOT structKeyExists(TemplateManagement, myName)){
    TemplateManagement[myName] = structNew();
    // Versioning:
    TemplateManagement[myName].App.Version.Major = 1;
    TemplateManagement[myName].App.Version.Minor = 1;
    // License:
    TemplateManagement[myName].License.SerialNumber = '';
    TemplateManagement[myName].License.Owner = '';
    </CFScript>
    ...at the end of the http request, usually in
    onRequestEnd.cfm, you can grab the 'TemplateManagement' struct and
    take a look.

    I have the same question.  Why doesnt Adobe do anything to update their 5.5 Captivate software so it continues to work with the most recent OS update?   What about offering a discount to 5.5 license owners so they could update to version 7 at a reduced cost?  I don't see any communication from Adobe about the problem or a solution.

    CA Forum: Deployment
    Hello,
    Crystal no longer support building deployment packages manually with the package and deployment wizard. The package and deployment wizard does not support using merge modules.  In order to deploy the RDC runtime files you will need to use the RDC merge modules that you can download from the Crystal website.  We have a kbase article discussing our runtime deployment support.  You can find it at this link:
    <http://technicalsupport.businessobjects.com/KanisaSupportSite/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=c2017252&sliceId=&dialogID=360384&stateId=1%200%20356275>  This link may break if it word wraps.
    These documents were written for CR XI (v11.0), but apply to CR XI R2 (v11.5) as well.
    In order to use the merge modules you will have to use a packaging software that supports merge modules - like the Visual Studios Installer, InstallShield, or Wise Installer.  Licensed owners of VB6 are entitled to download the Visual Studios Installer from Microsoft for free.
    There are documents that will help you walk through how to build a simple setup package using the VS Installer.  You can find it at this link on their website:
    http://support.businessobjects.com/communityCS/TechnicalPapers/rdcXI_deployment.pdf.asp
    You can download the merge modules from these links:
    For CR XI - http://support.businessobjects.com/downloads/runtime.asp#05
    For CR XI R2 - http://support.businessobjects.com/downloads/runtime.asp#06.
    if you use the free VS Installer please note that this tool does not support adding the CR XI/XI R2 keycode to the license.msm.  In order to add the keycode to the license.msm file you will need to download the ORCA tool in order "open" the merge module and enter the keycode.  This is discussed in the RDC XI Deployment PDF.
    The merge modules are a "one size fits all" solution, but they work.
    I hope this helps.
