Licensemanager.exe of Crystal Report 8?

Hi all,
Does anyone still have the licensemanager.exe file for Crystal Report 8.0?  Thanks a lot.
Regards,
Gloria

Hi Gloria,
I don't think some one will have the .exe file.  Could you please try in Google.com for free download.
Thanks,
Sastry

  • Crystal Reports 2008-Vista-ERROR-crw32.exe Entry Point Not Found in dll

    Hi Experts,
I just installed the Crystal Reports 2008 (with SP0) on my Vista (Home) machine.  When I try to start the CR 2008, I am getting the below error message:
Error Title: crw32.exe - Entry Point Not Found
Error Message: The procedure entry point ?PrintLegend@CMapXLegend@CSLib300@@QAEXJJJJJ@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library cslibu-3-0.dll
Here are the things I tried to resolve the above problem:
    1) Uninstall and Reinstall the CR 2008.  -  No change.
    2) I configured the DEP to accept Crystal Reports (Performance - Advanced - DEP allow).
None of these seem fix the problem.
Can you please help me kick start the Crystal Reports 2008?
    Thanks,
    Arun

    Please try with this:
Run a command prompt as administrator. From the start menu, select "All Programs", then "Accessories" and right-click on the "Command Prompt" shortcut and choose "Run As Administrator". From here you can use the following command to disable Data Execution Prevention (DEP) with the following command:
    bcdedit.exe /set nx AlwaysOff
Keeping your command prompt open, run your setup or other process being stopped by DEP. Then, to turn it back on again, do the same and run the following:
    bcdedit.exe /set nx AlwaysOn

  • "SAP Crystal Reports, developer version for Microsoft Visual Studio" (CRforVS_13_0_9.exe) has error during Installation.

    Hello,
I just tried to install the new file CRforVS_13_0_9.exe on a Windows 7 Ultimate machine.
I have Visual Studio 2013 and wanted Crystal Reports to be fully integrated with it.
By the way, I had already uninstalled CRforVS_13_0_8.exe before I attempted the installation of CRforVS_13_0_9.exe.
However, the installation failed with the following error message...
"The installation failed prematurely." The error dialog box with a full error message is attached.
It may be significant to note that even after what looks like a failed installation, that "SAP Crystal Reports, version for Microsoft Visual Studio" (ver. 13.0.9.1312) does show up in the Programs and Features Control Panel).
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. Please advise.

This used to be quite common on WIN XP and Vista and it was an MS issue. Googling I found the following that may help:
Fast and easy Windows Error Code 2753 resolution
    Error 2753 Preventing Uninstall/Reinstall - Microsoft Community
    Windows Installer Error Messages (Windows)
For now, this is the only report of the error with SP 9, so it will be good to check if the above helps.

    Hi Brian,
Thanks for your help and advise.
Crystal has been running on the server for some time (over a year) but hasn't been 'managed' until now so am looking at all of the issues at present.
We haven't seen a pattern when the errors started though.
Unfortunately the only errors I think relating to CR are the ones in the original post.  There are other errors, particularly to do with printing, but I think that they these are due to the TS sessions which wouldn't run Crystal. See below.
The print spooler failed to load a plug-in module C:\Windows\system32\spool\DRIVERS\x64\3\tsprint.dll, error code 0xc1. See the event user data for context information.
I am assuming the users are fine when they view the report then; scrolling through pages.  Yes, I believe so.
Yes, there are no locally attached printers on the server so the users rely on their remote session sharing the printer.

    Don

  • Crystal Reports 2008 Trial crashes; crw32.exe error; any fix?

I downloaded the trial for Crystal Reports 2008 and I can open the application fine, but when I go to create a report and click on the u201CCreate New Connectionu201D for the database I get a Just-in-time error for crw32.exe and my application shuts down.
Iu2019ve been trying to look for a resolution in your forums but could not find anything.  I check for updates it says there are none; I've uninstalled and reinstalled already didn't fix it; I've download sp1 manually and installed but no luck.
I do have MS SQL Server 2008 installed on my system, could this be causing some problems?
I'm running Windows XP, also have VS .NET 2003 installed, but I'm only wanting to use CR 2008 application.
Similar to this existing problem: An unhandled Win32 exception occurred in crw32.exe 5048. Crystal 2008 Crash
I cannot uninstalled SQL Server 2008 because I need it.

    Hi Henry,
Crystal Reports 2008 is not officially tested with SQL Server 2008.
    Try with this:
    1. Reduce the 'Hardware acceleration' setting in Microsoft Windows.
    2. To access the 'Hardware acceleration' setting in Microsoft Windows:
    Click Start > Settings > Control Panel > System > Display > Settings > Advanced > Troubleshooting.
There are typically six possible settings for 'Hardware acceleration': from 'None' to 'Full'.
If you are using Dual monitor run the CR application on primary monitor cause Dual monitor is not tested with CR.
If still the issue occurs then manually un-install and reinstall the application.

  • Installing Crystal Reports 2008 fix pack 2.6 is breaking Crystal 2008 exe.

I have a package created to deploy Crystal 2008.  I have included in my package SP1 and SP2 and that all works great.  However, the issue is when I push fix pack 2.6, once that is pushed, and done running, then I try and open up Crystal 2008 I get an error that says, the exe can't be found or is corrupt, try to reinstall the program again.  I can get the fix pack 2.6 to work fine when I manually install it.  Is this an issue because fix pack 2.6 has to self extract first?
Please let me know what I can do to get everything working in the package, so I don't have to manually run the fix pack 2.6 manually.
    Thank you.

What you are doing is not supported at all and may be a violation of the licensing. For users to get Crystal Reports Designer they must purchase a copy from SAP sales only unless you are an OEM partner and licensed to distribute in this way.
In all cases though we don't support building your own MSI in this way, only for distributing the runtime for an application you wrote. Installing Crw32.exe must be done from one of our CD's.
Please explain why you are building the MSI this way and if you are OEM Partner? If you are an OEM who is Account Manager here?
    Thank you

  • Crystal Reports XI installation error with boagent.exe

When installing the trial Crystal Reports XI R2 SP2 on Vista Home Premium SP2, I am getting a popup with an error: abnormal program termination with C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\UpdateService\boagent.exe. And then the installer shows Error 1722. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. This happens toward what seems the end of the installation process. I can run Crystal Reports fine after that and most features seem to work OK but I am not sure if all features are installed correctly.
I have tried installing with DEP disabled and changing the compatibility mode of boagent.exe to XP SP2. I also tried installing the full trial SP4 too, but I am getting the same errors all the time. Repairing or uninstalling Crystal produces the same error too.
What is boagent.exe and how does the Crystal installer use it? Is there log file where I could see more details and what possibly failed to install?

Download SP 4 and try again then you can install SP 6

  • Crystal Reports kicks me out with a crw32.exe has encountered a problem ...

I have not been successful in getting Crystal Reports XI Rel 2 to work for me, except for one very simple report that accesses one table and simply prints out all fields.  When I try to link tables and do something more complicated, it kicks me out with a 'crw32.exe has encountered a problems and needs to close error'.
I am running Windows XP Professional Version 2002 SP3 and using the CR Informix ODBC Driver 5.3 to access data from an Informix DB.

I downloaded and was able to write a report off the Access test DB.  So - I went back and connected to Informix, wrote a report that connected 6 tables and now I get a syntax error (it has not kicked me out yet, though!).  I get -201 error with no explanation.  Here is the sql generated by CR:
    SELECT pallet.pallet_id, item.category_id, item.sub_category_id, category.description, sub_category.description, item.quantity, item.std_cost, sub_category.default_recovery_pct, carton.status, pallet.status, location.location
    FROM   arc:informix.category category, arc:informix.sub_category sub_category, arc:informix.item item, arc:informix.carton carton, arc:informix.pallet pallet,  OUTER arc:informix.location location
    WHERE  (category.row_key=sub_category.category_key) AND ((category.category_id=item.category_id) AND (sub_category.sub_category_id=item.sub_category_id)) AND (item.carton_key=carton.row_key) AND (carton.pallet_key=pallet.row_key) AND (pallet.location_key=location.row_key) AND category.description<>'Dump' AND (carton.status='CLOS' OR carton.status='PALT') AND (pallet.status='DOCK' OR pallet.status='PUTA')
    ORDER BY pallet.pallet_id, item.category_id, item.sub_category_id, category.description, sub_category.description
I don't see a problem with it.  Any other suggestions?  Do you think the CR has a problem with a table called 'Item' since that is a reserved word?

  • IEXPLORE.EXE - Application Error in Crystal Reports XI

    IEXPLORE.EXE - Aplication Error
X The instruction at "0x42fc2af2" referenced memory at "0x43686d0c". the memory could not be "read".
I work in IT and not directly with this software. A user needed an upgraded computer with this software installed and consequesntly is getting this error message when trying to 'Enter Values' with the Calendar button. Calendar pops up, select a date, and error message appears.
I have noticed that if Internet Explorer is open in another window, the error message is not encountered. Could it be a setting in Explorer with scripts or activeX controls?
Windows XP SP3, IE 7. Latest updates.
Crystal Reports XI Professional ver 11.0.0.895 (could be out of date, updater not connecting...)

We have a simple .net application to open our crystal reports. one of the computer has the same problem as Evan ie. when user click on the Calendar button, click any date then error message displayed:
    IEXPLORE.EXE - Aplication Error
X The instruction at "0x42fc2af2" referenced memory at "0x43686d0c". the memory could not be "read".
Similarly when IE is open, error message will not displayed.
I had tried changing the Microsoft Virtual Memory but it does not seems to help.
Anyone with any advice or solution is greatly appreciated.

  • Crystal Report Runtime start splwow64.exe on windows 64 OS

    Hi,
We are using the Crystal Reports runtime in our application. We are utilizing the runtime through the COM interface. Recently a client of us installed our application on windows 2003 64-bit. Now whenever a report is created windows starts splwow64.exe. As i understand this is a process started by windows to ensure compatibility with 32-bit. Normally this process is released when the job is done. However in our case the proces is never released and remains exclusively locked. Other application on the same machine also need this splwow64 process and this is now causing a problem.
When the other applications on the server start splwow64 first it released when the job is done. It is only when creating a report (pdf) using the CR-runtime, it is never released.
Any help would be very much appriciated!
    TIA
    Ronald

    Hi Ronald,
XI is past it's end of life so nothing we can do to fix it now. Try CR XI R2 ( 11.5 ) with Service Pack 6, it has a better chance of working on 64 bit OS's.
Go to this link: http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/boc and download the trial version of CR XI R2 and use your XI keycode, then apply the patches which you can get to by clicking on the BusinessObjects tab above, then Downloads.
Direct link to the Trial version: http://www.sap.com/solutions/sapbusinessobjects/sme/freetrials/index.epx
Searching on this dll it appears to be the 32 to 64 bit Thunking spooler that converts 32 bit print jobs into 64 bit jobs ( or the other way around ). CR only supports 32 bit runtime so it may be that your print driver has issues. If you can find one that is 32 bit only but works on 64 bit OS then that will likely resolve the issue.
Otherwise I suggest you contact the printer manufacture and ask them how to make their 64 bit driver work with a 32 bit app.
    Thank you
    Don

    Can anybody help me?

Four of ways to do this, however all include the use of the RDC merge modules and creating a deployment package. From the most prefered to the least prefered option:
    1) When you download the merge modules, one of them will be crystalreports11_RDC_license.msm. The crystalreports11_RDC_license.msm is configurable and you have to enter the keycode into the msm. Utilities such as InstallShield, Wise, MS Visual Installer allow you to do this modification, others do not. You do not specify what deployment utility you are using, but if it does not support these types of msm files, search the forum for "Orca" and you will get an idea of how to use it to fill in the keycode.
    2) In code you can use this line:
    myApplicatoni.setLicenseKeycode("the keycode as a string")
    3) In the CR bin directory (...\3.0\bin) on your development computer, you will find the LicenseManager.exe. You could take this exe to the computer you want to deploy to, runt he exe and enter the keycode. Of course this is not the most ideal if you are distributing to more than a couple of computers.
    4) Install Crystal Reports on the deployment computers. In order to remain within your licensing agreement, delete the crw32.exe. Again, this may be an option for a couple of quick installs only.

Check DLL differences; CR dlls, db client dlls, system dlls. Use [Modules|https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100006252802008E/modules.zip] to compare the two scenarios.
