Licensing for 9 macs

Hi,
We have 9 Macs running snow Leopard. How many licenses do we have to purchase to put Lion on all our Macs? So far we have purchased 1 license and installed it on 1 machine.
We are an organisation with only 9 macs and are not for profit. I have seen that the volume purchasing kicks in for 20 or more Macs.

I would think that you need to purchase 9, but call Apple to confirm.

Yes.
Keynote for iOS and Keynote for OS X are two different applications running on two different operation systems.
They are not interchangeable.

That depends. If you bought the disc version, you're good to go, since your serial number works on both platforms, so just install the mac version. If you lost the discs or your mac doesn't have a disc drive, you can download it here:

However, if you bought the windows version as a download, you're out of luck. Adobe does do a crossgrade, but for older versions you have to pay to upgrade to current version on the new platform, and that's more expensive than just buying it, if you search around for a good price.

The answer is yes. If you use the "alias" method (in iPhoto's Advanced Preference pane - don't copy files when importing) you can use your own source folder system. You can also share the source files with another image management application. There are some unique issues, however. Any edit of a photo by iPhoto is not seen by the other application as the edited version is saved in iPhoto's Modified folder. If the other application can perform edits on the source file and save the edits to the actual source file, iPhoto's thumbnail of that file will not reflect the change but the edit will display when you open the photo in iPhoto's edit window or use that photo in a book or slideshow. If iPhoto hasn't edited before hand. If iPhoto edits the other application's edited version the source file is not touched. Also any file added to an existing source folder has to be manually imported into iView and then moved within iPhoto from its roll to the roll representing the source folder it was placed in via the Finder. When moved in iPhoto the source file will physically be moved to that folder in the Finder. Hope I haven't confused you with this convoluted description.
So with some quirks you can use another application like iView MediaPro on the same set of source files.
I do the above with iPhoto and iView.

FlexBuilder license for Mac and Windows

I just got a new MacBook Pro and I'd like to be able to start
developing on it using FlexBuilder for the Mac. I've been doing
some research, and the Windows license is not compatible with the
Mac version. I did find some info on the

Flex FAQ. Does this mean that if I "trade-in" my license that
it will no longer be valid for Windows? Or am I trading my

PSE9 is multi-platform so you can run both side by side, subject to a maximum of two installations.
If you ever need to transfer PSE9 to another computer you must first deactivate the Editor by going to Help >Deactivate (it will be grayed out in trial versions)

Cannot download device name license for mac version

I'm having problem when i try to deploy a installer for Mac version.I download CCPLauncher for Mac.When i launch it i only can select Serial Number License & Named License its different from Windows version which is i can download Device Named License.Can ur team help me ASAP because i have to deploy to 24 sites around Malaysia by next week.And for your information I'm buy a education licensing.

Unless you bought a multi-platform license, which is an unusual case, your license is currently only good for a Mac installation.

Group Licensing for Mac OS Lion?

I know the price is $30 through the Mac App Store and I can download this on all authorized Macs.
If I have about 20-25 computers though for work, is it the same price or do I need to purchase a different license? Has anyone seen how much that is?

Don't forget the "personal." The first time I've seen the phrase "personal authorized Mac" being used in relation to Lion was just yesterday. I have not seen an official definition of what that means (nor even an unofficial one). I'm sure Apple will let us know in the not too distant future.

CS5.5 Windows License for Mac?

Hey,
I bought CS5.5 for Windows on Nov 26 2011. I have recently bought a new Macbook and so no longer use my windows laptop. Is there any chance that I can use the same Serial Number for a Mac Version?
I want to sell my old PC and don't really want to have to fork out loads of money for new software after the CS5.5 was fine.

Installation labview academic license for mac failed

I am trying to installa Labview 2008 academic license on my new MacBook Pro with OSX 10.6.3. Every time I start the installation through the mkpg file, the installation starts and then, when it almost finish to run the packages, it stops and fail. Any idea?

There's no such thing as "Photoshop 0.6".
Are you referring to the ancient Photoshop 6 ? The relatively new and still sold CS6?

Software Licenses for Macs

I have Microsoft office and Creative Suite for one computer in my office. Do I have to buy separate versions of the software for a second computer or can I buy a second license?

Since neither are Apple products, contact Microsoft and Adobe and ask them.

I have a licence for Lion that is sitting on Apples computer somewhere.
How do I access my account and install Lion on my machine?
Beyond that I want to upgrade to Maverick but given I work out the first step upgrading to Maverick should be easy.

OS X Lion could be purchased from the Mac App Store (and now, at the Apple Online Store). Once you purchase it, you can download it as many times as you want for free.
Open  > Software Update, and install the most recent Mac OS X version. It should be Mac OS X 10.6.6 or newer. Then, open the Mac App Store, go to Purchases, log in with your Apple ID and download OS X Lion. Make a backup before upgrading and check that your apps are compatible > http://www.roaringapps.com
You can upgrade to OS X Mavericks from Mac OS X 10.6.6 or newer without any problem, so upgrading to OS X Lion first is a waste of time. Open the Mac App Store and download OS X Mavericks

Photoshopversion for mac and windows when switching?

Hi,
I have used now the photoshop trial version for windows for windows for a while and would like to buy the full version. However I will switch to a mac in December or January and would really appreciate If I would be able to start out with photoshop already now on my windows pc so that I don't have to wait with purchasing photoshop until I have the mac.
If I buy a photoshop license, will I get a version for both platforms or how does it generally work if switching platforms? I am also using Lightroom 4 and when I bought this as box it came with both a mac and windows version but I noticed that for photoshop I have to choose in the store.
Would be nice if you could help me with this.

Lightroom is multi-platform. It is licensed for Mac and/or Windows and you can install it on both since you can activate it on up to 2 computers.
Traditionally licensed versions of Photoshop and other apps are single platform licenses: Mac only or Windows only but you also have up to 2 activations. Mac/Mac or Win/Win.
Creative Cloud versions of Adobe Suites and apps (e.g. Photoshop) are all multi-platform licenses: Mac and/or Windows - so you can activate them on Win/Win or Mac/Mac or Win/Mac. That may work best in your situation purely from a licensing perspective but you'll be locked in to a monthly fee.
You can cross-grade from Windows to Mac but that usually involves an upgrade at the same time (e.g. CS5.5 Windows to CS6 Mac). Check with Adobe Sales for further options.
