Licensing requirement for deploying Certificate Authority Server

Is there any separate license that we need to purchase from Microsoft in order to use and implement Microsoft Certificate Authority Server
in an organization. Or is it a free feature which comes as a part of Windows Server licensing.
Also, do we require any separate license for clients connecting or using the certificates.
If there is any licensing involved kindly share information of the same.

How many large install licenses required for a 5.x deployment?

I have been trying to determine the correct license requirement for a 5.x install. There will be 1 primary server and six secondary servers. It is very clear that I need the base license for each ACS instance, but the documentation notes that for greater than 500 devices (IPs) that a large install license is needed for each ACS deployment. Does this mean that each ACS appliance instance will require a unique Large Install license or I only need one license (presumably installed on primary) and that will cover the IP requirements for all my secondaries?

On a single license is required for a deployment.
The large install license is installed on the primary and gets replicated to all the secondaries in the deployment that are connected to that primary

No report Builder 3.0 is just the client side light-weight component to work with published reports & does not need any specific license however the server over which the reports are published (Eventually) must be appropriately licensed

Does anyone know the SQL licensing requirements for E-Commerce/Web CRM components? Is it within Microsoft licensing guidelines to setup just a single user CAL for all users on the website, or do we need multiple user CALS or a Processor CAL?

This appears to be different behaviour than previous versions (>= version 3.3) and not what is described in the documentation.

There was a regression introduced in 3.5.1 where the Main-class attribute of the Coherence.jar was changed to a different main class leading to this effect.
The workaround is to specify the main class as part of the command line.
Assuming your current directory is the coherence home directory:
Start a cache server:
java -cp lib/coherence.jar com.tangosol.net.DefaultCacheServer Start the command line:
java -cp lib/coherence.jar com.tangosol.coherence.component.application.Console And the above is basically what the coherence.sh/.cmd and cache-server.sh/.cmd scripts do.

What are the network requirements for the Remote Panel Server?
I've been trying for a while now to setup a Remote Panel. I can connect to my computers remote panel from other computers on my LAN but nowhere else.
When ever I use the web publishing tool it gives me a URL in this format: http://Computer-Name.Corporate-Name.local:8086/VI-Name.html Apparently this means I have a local DNS server and this URL has no meaning from the public.
When I try connecting with the Operate>>Connect to Remote Panel..., I get this error message:
"Connecting to remote panel server...
Remote panel connection refused by specified server: Make sure LabVIEW Web Server is enabled on specified server"
I got the same error when I tried to host a remote panel from my laptop at home, on my Wi-Fi. Is there some network or firewall setting I'm not seting? Could it be my server or router or private network?
My goal is to be able to host Remote Panels from my laptop while I am travailing internationally, by using 4G mobile internet. Is that even passable?

Standard disclaimer: We don't represent Oracle. Your situation may be different because of specific wording in your particular Oracle contract, because of differences in licensing regimes over the years, because of laws in your particular country, etc. If you have a serious licensing question, you really need to address it to Oracle Sales. Explaining that some guy on the internet told you it was OK is going to be cold comfort if you're ever audited by Oracle and they disagree with my interpretation...
In general, no, you don't need a separate client license. The database is generally licensed to support a number of named users and/or all the users that a certain hardware configuration can support. Assuming the person using the Oracle client is connecting to a properly licensed database (and that they are one of the named users if that is the licensing regime), you shouldn't need a separate license.
There may be slightly different rules if we're talking about developers connecting to the database because of the "Oracle Programmer" set of licenses that appears on pricing sheets that I've never fully understood.

We required this tool for development purpose like "application connectivity with Oracle DB". Please let us know is this freeware or any license required for using this tool, If required what is the cost of that license.

A few things:
1) The latest version is 11.2.0.1.2. This will work with database versions back to 9.2. You do not have to select a ODT or ODP.NET version that matches your database version.
2) All of the .NET products are free and can be used by you in your application.
3) You automatically get technical support for the .NET products if you have support for Oracle Database.

OS 2008 Licensing requirements for Server with 12 Processors

I need to upgrade to Windows OS 2008 R2 on our server that has 12 processors. Was told that this server has 2 physical CPUs and each CPUs has 6 cores. Want to confirm that all I need is 2 processor license for this server.

Windows Server 2008 R2 is not more available on the market. if you want to have Windows Server 2008 R2 than you purchase Windows Server 2012 R2 and downgrade to 2008 R2.
each Windows Server 2012 R2 license(Standard or datacenter) cover up to TWO processors. it means that for your Server with 2 physical CPUs you Need just one Windows Server 2012 R2 license.
for 2008 R2, on ly the datacenter Edition was licensed with CPUs. Minimum 2 CPU licenses for each datacenter Edition.
for Windows Server the number of cores does not change the
number of licenses required.

Sorry, that is not correct. SQL components beyond Database Services are required in most circumstances.
It's important you understand what to install based on your application requirements.

Using linked flv content in swf file -for deployment on Breeze server

Can anyone tell me the procedure for creating swf and linked
flv file with Sorenson Squeeze for deployment on the Breeze server
or in Breeze Presenter? All Adobe will share is the how to this
with Flash. I feel certain this can be done but all my attempts
have failed to have the swf show the referred flv link. To
interpret the Flash procedure, it seems that all one has to do is
add /output "file name" to the swf player flve linked url, but the
published flv file only shows a white screen. It does not seem to
load the linked flv file - even if I have allowed public viewing of
the flv content.

The procedure may be the same - I'm pretty familiar wit h
that by now - but the results are not. I think the key difference
is that the linked file url addendum "/output/filename" required
from Breeze when creating the linked flv url call-out from the swf
file, does not work is advertised in Sorenson Squeeze. Before
attempting to insert this linked swf file in Presenter, I have
attempted to elicit the same interactivity just by uploading the
fwo files to the Breeze server. Sorenson does not seem to be able
to recognize that additional linked url with the additional "output
/ file name" addendum that Breeze requires. I have replicated that
same procedure in Flash 8 and the results work perfectly. I just
don't like being forced to use a 900 lb gorilla like Flash 8 to
create this simple task when a less costly program like Sorenson is
squeeze should work correctly. Frankly, I think a lot of other
Breeze authors, who are not as adept with this video encoding
process, or who want to be using a developer tool like Flash to
create their video clips. My experience with our users is that that
most shy away from using video in Breeze because it is way too
cumbersome. - Something Adobe should consider before more prospects
move over to another similar authoring program that has actually
dedicated itself to advancing their authoring software
capabilities.

Weblogic is a pre-requisite for installing 11g Grid Control.
if you do not have weblogic already, and your only requirement for it is to use for Grid Control, is a license for Weblogic required?
I have raised an SR on this - and have been told a license is required.
I'm staggered by this - the packs in Grid have always been licensable, but the very basic functionality has always been free - including the use of an 'infrastructure' database to house the repository.
I'm interested to hear other peoples' experiences and whether this is a 'known' fact.

Could you remind them their restricted-use license?

I'm just wondering if a certificate authority can member a domain controller in another forest. A colleague decided to deploy a new AD forest from scratch and joined all the workstations to a new domain controller, however, he didn't realize they they an
enterprise certificate authority still running on the old domain controller.
They are running Windows Server 2008 R2.

If the question is "Can the clients still enroll for certificates from the CA in the other forest?":
On principle yes, but you would need to deploy one of these solutions for cross-forest enrollment:
Certificate Enrollment Web Services in Windows Server 2008 R2
(AD CS roles, HTTPs based enrollment)
AD CS: Deploying Cross-forest Certificate Enrollment
(Powershell scripts syncing objects cross-forest)
If the question is "Can the CA be migrated to the new forest?"
It depends on AIA and CDP URLs that had been used in the other forest. The CA still needs to publish current CRLs to the "old" locations that are embedded in already issued certificates. If the default URLs had been used these point to LDAP locations
in the old forest.
On principle it can be done if there is still one old DC and clients can access the other forest... and you setup some manual publication to the other forest... but this gets kind of messy.
It would be easier to install a new CA from scratch in the new forest with new URLs and make sure that all clients enroll for new certificates. But if you aren't 100% you "caught" all applications using the old certificates you would need to keep
at least on the old old CDP URLs active.
The CA should also not run on a domain controller - this makes it even more complicated. I am not sure if this is supported.
