Licensing Stopped: Tiger 10.4.11

My son turned off the power the other day and ever since, it's been a nightmare to get my mac to boot.
I had to create a new install of OSX on a partition I already had which created a new user.
Now, all my CS3 apps give that "License has stopped" that there are two posts about.
The difference here is that I had to create a new user/os install as the one on the main HD doesn't ever boot. I get the prohibitive sign.
So, I know nothing is running in the background on some other user account.
My issue is that I bought this machine from an Apple store employee and the software was already on it. I purchased an upgrade to CS3 and it all worked fine since CS2 was already on the machine.
I don't want to re-install because it renders my upgrade useless without the original serial number.
I just need to be able to attribute my CS3 apps with the original user on the main HD partition...
This might sound like an Apple OSX question, but these details may provide an Adobe minded person to give some suggestions. I've already tried all the technotes dealing with permissions onthe NetFlex folder, the cache.db file and etc.
Finally,
Amitoj Singh I see you routinely post this request:
Please open a terminal window ( Open a finder and go to Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
1) Please type open /tmp
With in the /tmp folder, you should be able to find amt.log and alm.log
Could you please copy the content for both on this forum thread.
Yet you have never responded when users have as to what you are looking for or what it might tell you.
Could you please specify what you are looking for in these logs and how that could help?
I do not find an alm.log file and my amt.log reads:

Mr. Singh,
I'm hoping you can decipher my problem with trying to install Indesign. I am installing the CS master collection. everything installs except InDesign. I've tried both the cs3 and cs4 cleanscripts (i had downloaded a trial cs4) my mac has cs on it now. i've reloaded the system software, fixed permissions, threw out InDesign CS. would you be able to look at the install log and tell me what the errors mean I should do?

  • Mac Os X 10.8.3 CS3 License stopped working

    Hi,
I have a MacosX 10.8.3 now (before migrating this was a Leopard) and now I cannot open work with my CS3, because the Ilustrator says: "Licensing for this product has stopped working.
Now I am not sure what to do!

  • License stopped working. Error 150:30.

Re-install of Mountain Lion from Time Machine (BIG mistake) left me with PhotoShop and InDesign CS4 unusable. "License stopped working and Error 150:30" were the messages.
Went online, tried what worked for some people, i.e. deleting Flexnet from ~Library/Application Support and then putting Flexnet file in ~Library/Preferences. Still could not open PS & ID. Interesting that Bridge never had a problem and works fine.
I am out of USA and don't have my install disks but I do have serial number for CS4. Chat was ridiculous. Adobe is certainly wasting money on that outsourced non-help function which took 30 minutes of my time for nothing.
Is there any help for me besides waiting til I get back to USA to get my install disks?
I feel very angry at Adobe for having so little help for me. I've been using PhotoShop since the 80's on PCs and Macs. I wish there were some other program out there so I wouldn't have to deal with Adobe-Snobby who "got above their raisin's."
Oh, and by the way, just in case anyone from Adobe pays any attention to this, when you click "Close" from the Chat window like the intructions tell you, there is NO WAY to complain about "how Adobe is doing."

I fixed the problem myself by using some comments from the Creative Suites CS3 forum: however, with CS4, there is no Trusted Storage File, as it is named below. It is called Storage. And you have to delete the 2 .data files Preferences creates when you reboot.
Also the FLEXnet Publisher file should be in ~Library/Preferences NOT in ~Library/Application Support where I found mine.
Basically PS4 and ID4 would not work until after removing the Service file from FLEXnet Publisher then re-booting and repairing Disk Permissions. After deleting the 2 data files, I replaced the Service file in the FLEXnet folder and both PS4 and ID4 opened easily. Whew. It's been a long couple of days trying to figure this one out! The instructions below helped me figure it out.
Go to: Main HD > Library > Preferences > FLEXnet Publisher > FLEXnet folder (Mac OS) remove the Trusted Storage File (TSF) from the FLEXnet folder and drop it on your desktop.
Restart your Mac > run disk permissions repair (Applications > Utilities > Disk Repair) then launch InDesign - enter serial number - InDesign should now work (fingers crossed)
If all goes well trash the TSF - you won't need it anymore as a new one should have been created.

  • Dreamweaver cs4 in mavericks - Licensing Stopped Workin

I tried to use my copy of Dreamweaver CS4 - which I have used a long time, also on Mavericks, but came out a message stating Licensing Stopped Working Error:3. I contacted support and they told me to reinstall the program. The setup on my original disk, as well a copy I downloaded from Adobe, quits a few seconds after starting the installation. Anybody has info on how to solve the problem?
    I have an iMac Mid-2011 3.4 GHz Intel Core i7 with 16 GB 1333 MHz DDR3.

  • PSE 8  Error 150:30 Licensing stopped working

    Hi
Just another case of pse 8 not working on a mac running OS X 10.6.1 with Polish as a main language.
I've just purchased pse 8 from Apple store. I had a previous version of pse installed on my imac, so I uninstalled it using the unistaller from the pse 6 disc, installed pse 8 and.... bang ! - I got this lovely message on my screen (error 150:30, licensing stopped working etc.) Then after searching many forums I found I was not the only one having the same problem.
I've tried every single suggested solution (repairing disc permissions, deleting FLEXnet lib etc) - obviously nothing works (except changing the language to English of course).
Does a working solution exist for this problem?
I am not a happy bunny and I'll probably return pse 8 asap and go back to the 'old' 6 ver.

    Hey folks:
As Ankush mentions, we are keenly aware of this problem.
There are actually two issues here:
First one is that when PSE8 is launched on systems that are not of the supported languages, this Licensing Has Stopped Working error occurs.
the only way to work around this one is to switch your system to a supported language.
Please note, the supported languages are clearly defined athttp://www.adobe.com/products/photoshopelmac/systemreqs/ and on the product packaging.
Second one is that occasionally, this bug occurs when launching in a supported language. For most folks the workaround is to simply try and launch PSE8 again. There seems to be a few folks who are running in a supported language, and relaunching doesn't work. See Ankush's note at http://forums.adobe.com/thread/502331?tstart=30 for a workaround if you're faced with this situation.
Rest assured that we are working on getting to the root cause, and understanding what it will take to get a fix out. We don't yet have enough info to convey when an update could happen. That does not mean we're not working on it.
Sorry for the hassle, and thanks for your patience here.
    Cheers
    Bob

  • Licensing Stopped Working Error Message

Can't launch licensed copy of Photoshop Elements 8.  Receive error code 150:30   Message says "licensing for this product has stopped working" and asks me to restart computer.  I have - same message!

  • I re-installed my Mac OS, but now Elements won't open. Licensing stopped working. Error code 150:30

I re-installed my Mac OS, but now Elements won't open. Licensing stopped working. Error code 150:30.
This is Photoshop Elements 8, and I have the original disc with serial number so I can re-install that.
The probelm is I'd need to de-cactivate the serial number before un-installing, and I need to open the programme to do that.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

Okay, I've found that this is a recognised problem.
    http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/error-licensing-stopped-mac-os.html
Error "Licensing has stopped working" | Mac OS
and all the solutions tell me to find the folder FlexNet Publisher in my library.
Problem is FlexNet Publisher doesn't seem to exist there. Can't find it anywhere on my hard drive.
Gettting down to the end of that page gives me the following info....
The FlexNet folders and files required to run Adobe applications can become corrupted or have permission problems if moved from one machine to another. They can also be damaged through a Time Machine system restore. FlexNet service licensing failures cannot be resolved by reinstalling the application or by using the Adobe CS5 Cleaner Tool. If permissions issues prevent the FlexNet licensing service from launching, accessing data, or communicating with Adobe processes, a licensing failure occurs.
Well it looks like backing everything up using Time Machine may have caused all this problem. Anyone know how to get Flexnet Publisher back?

  • Licensing stopped  Error 150:30  Mac

Transferred files from old Mac to new Mac.  Everything transferred.  I checked PSE, and it looked as if it was fine.
A week later I tried to open PSE and got the error message saying the licensing stopped.
Again - this is my new Mac.  I am not trying to share PSE with anyone else, but I do want to continue to use the software program I own.
I do have my original disc, but the new Mac (Mountain Lion) does not have a disc drive.  At any rate it should have transferred.
    Any suggestions?

Nooooo, sorry. You can never, never migrate an installed copy of PSE. (Lots of people think they're successful at first, but it always fails, sooner or later) PSE is not a tidy package like most mac apps. The installer strews stuff all over your hard drive in places the migration assistant is not trained to look. You will need to run this, then remove what you copied over, then find some way to copy the install disc to your mac and start from scratch.
    http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html
If you have PSE  11, you can download the trial and enter your serial number there. For older versions, if you are near an apple store, they will usually let you copy the installer to a CD or usb drive if you bring one with you.

  • Licensing stopped working

I have been using PS CS4 for more than 3 years. However, in the past few months, PS CS4 keeps popping up Error:150:30 indicating Licensing for this product has stopped working.
When this error came up, I used to closed and re-launch the program or restart the computer and the error will go away. But not this time.  I have been trying to used CS4 for the past few days and failed.
    Please HELP.

  • How to fix: PS-CS4 Licensing stopped Error 150:30 ?

"Licensing stopped working" after Library Extensions problem on Mac 10.10.3. HD reformatted from ext HD's Time Machine. PS CS4 gave this error when starting it attempted. (Initially, it wanted Java, which I think has been done. The overall job was done at the Apple Genius Bar.)
Restarting has been done a couple of times.

The 150:30 error is a common problem which usually occurs when you recover Photoshop CS4 from a backup or transfer to another computer. The simplest way to clear it up is to re-install CS4. Here is a link to the installers: Download CS4 products
You can use your discs or the downloads from the provided link. Either way, have your serial number ready...
If this fails, I am going to direct you to this thread: 150:30 Start at post #11.

  • License Stopped Working

I went to log into PE today and got the following pop up message:  "Licensing for this product has stopped working. You cannot use this product at this time. You must repair the problem by uninstalling and reinstalling the program or contacting Adobe customer support." This program was fine yesterday - but now this. I tried contacting support but I have PE 7 and they no longer offer chat or phone support for this program. I downloaded this program from the internet so I do not have a hard copy to be able to reinstall it. What do I do?
