Lifeblog

Hey dudes - anyone else having problems with Lifeblog at the mo?
Whenever I run it I get:
"Memory full. Close some applications and try again" on the handset...
Thing is - I haven't got any other apps running!
Yup, life sure moves pretty fast...

  • Problems with Nokia Photos (Lifeblog)

I have been using Lifeblog 2.5 on my PC running on Windows XP sp2 for more than 2 years and was very pleased with how this software worked. I regularly used it to transfer both photos and videos from my N80 and N95 to my pc. When Lifeblog was premium software I paid for the full version.
I had a problem with my PC and had to perform a destructive recovery on the C drive of my pc. I then tried to download the Lifeblog program again from Nokia only to be met with a SORRY greeting. So i was able to find the Nokia Photos software which I downloaded and installed. I then imported my Back up files from Lifeblog.
The problem with Nokia Photos is Videos do not play. Only SMS and Photos can be viewed even though I have ticked all the boxes.
I think that Nokia must have some problems with Lifeblog and Nokia Photos. Any help as to how I may be able to get it to work as well as it was before would be greatly appreciated.

I have since reinstalled all the XP framework software and it seems to work fine now.
    Thanks for your advice.

  • N70 LifeBlog 1.7 Now Not Working

I have been using LifeBlog 1.7 on my Vodafone N70 successfully all year and think it's a great piece of software. But suddenly I am receiving an error when I try to connect saying that the version on my phone is incompatible with the version on my pc. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall my pc version 1.7 and the mobile software from 1.5 to 2.0 and none seem to work! Can anyone help? Thanks in advance!

Make sure that Lifeblog is enabled in the sync profile on the handset -
Menu - Connect - Sync - Lifeblog - Options - Edit sync profile - (Press right navigation button) - Lifeblog - Yes
I know it sounds strange, but after I had my firmware updated and reinstalled Lifeblog on the handset, that was set to no.

  • Linking Lifeblog to Contacts on the N70

    Hi
I am running Lifeblog 1.7 on my N70. I have been sending and receiving texts and taking pictures on it since before Xmas, so the database has built up to a reasonable size. But I only very recently got round to synching my Contacts onto the phone. Texts received since then are correctly linked in Lifeblog to the name of person who sent them (if that person is in my Contacts book) - ie 'Bloggs Joe' rather than '+4412345678', but messages received before then are still listed with the phone numbers. When I sync these earlier messages from the phone onto the PC Lifeblog app on my computer I don't really want to have to go through and hand-tag every message - that would take ages - so is there any way to force Lifeblog to rebuild its database, correctly linking names to the numbers? I have thought about simply deleting Lifeblog and reinstalling it, but I don't know if that would actually delete the LB database, and anyway, I suspect that it is actually the Messaging database that is causing this problem. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
    Thanks in anticipation
    Cameron

I still would recommend not to mess with the database but if you want to have a more complete story, here it comes. ;-)
Uninstallation itself does not affect the Lifeblog database - neither on the N70 nor on the PC.
If you manually delete the Lifeblog database from the N70, you will remove all your metadata from the N70. If you reinstall later, you can get the multimedia data and messages themselves back. But only the contact-related metadata for messages will be recreated (based on the current contact db) - nothing else. That is, all other metadata -whether created manually or automatically- will be lost unless you have already transferred it to PC.
Thus, a potential strategy -just for getting the info from the contact db- could be:
    1) Sync Lifeblog 1.7 on N70 with your PC Lifeblog 1.7
    2) Uninstall Lifeblog 1.7 from N70
    3) Remove Lifeblog db from N70
    4) Install Lifeblog 1.7 on N70
    5) Reimport data
Important: all items coming from the reimport will be treated as new items. Hence, if you sync again with the PC, you will get these as duplicates.
I would like to repeat that I do not recommend this approach, because the side effects might be more annoying than the symptoms that you wanted to cure.

  • Lifeblog not working

I am using Nokia Lifeblog 2.5 with my Nokia N95,recently it has stopped working. Error message is as follows : "Lifeblog encountered problems copying item to or from your phone. Please check the connection and try again. If the problem persists, restart Lifeblog and try again." and it cancels the sync. plz it's very urgent as i want to format my phone but i've sum very precious msgs of my bro who passed away last year.please help me out. thanks Amy.Patel

    Hey,
If getting messages are ur main concern, then please do make a backup of your N95 messages using Nokia PC Suite's Content Copier.
    For your Lifeblog,
    Try this
    In Nokia N95 > Menu > Application > Media > Lifeblog > options > Update Timeline
once its updated, now connect your device with Lifeblog PC application and then try to sync.
    Hope it may help

  • N73 & Problem with Lifeblog

Not sure if this should have gone in here, but here goes...
I bought an N73 on 3 in the UK a few weeks ago, and Lifeblog was working fine. About a week after I had the phone, my old number was ported over, and several programs stopped working, one of them is Lifeblog.
When I go to the lifeblog site to redownload lifeblog, the site says Lifeblog is installed on the phone, lifeblog is also listed in PC Suite (6.84.10.3), but when I run lifeblog, and click "copy new iteems from phone", I get the message that lifeblog is not installed on the phone, nor is there any sign of it on the phone any more.
I have redownloaded the lifeblog installer exe several times and run that, but it still is not working, and run the installer from the CD that came with the phone - does anyone have any ideas ?
    Thanks
    (I am running Vista)

    Hey
    Thanks for replying!
I've done some more experimenting, both with my old N70, and my new N73...
The thing with point 1 is, on my N70, it does remember the album it was in, although you have to update the lifeblog app on the device itself, before you can sync to the PC, and the lifeblog on the N70 doesn't remember the mobile phone cell the photo was taken in. My theory is that the lifeblog app on S60 ver2 is subtly different to the one on S60 ver3 (obvious, I know, but the devil is in the details).
The problem with point 2 is that it seems to have a preference for day notes over appointments ("meeting" ) in the recording. Since you ask, I use Outlook 2003 for my diary, and then sync to the N73, although sometimes I add appointments to the phone, or modify them. I don't really know whether that would make much difference, though. I use day notes, spread over the week, to record what week of the semester it is, and then meetings to record my lectures. I *was* hoping that it would record the lecture name, so I wouldn't have to cross-reference with my timetable to work out what lecture the photo was from.
As a side note, I really like using the camera to photograph the board in lectures, and the lecturers don't mind, as long as the flash doesn't go off. Saves me furiously writing stuff down!
Anyway, now that I know its the difference between my N70 and N73 thats making the difference, I'm a lot happier. I know I'm not going mad, and that there are quirks and bugs, but I dont seem to be able to find people discussing them. I've even looked on AllAboutSymbian and other, more fringe websites, but maybe I'm the only one using lifeblog like this.
    Cheers
    Tom

  • Lifeblog issue

Hi, I am new user to this Nokia Discussion.
I have searched and went through the topics with "lifeblog" issue inside the application manager.
But I still have a few doubts here.
    Scenario:
I installed the lifeblog from Nokia CD into my Nokia N80's phone memory. Then I tried to run the application from my phone (inside My Own). Then it run an installation of lifeblog in the phone itself. I guessed the first installation from the CD to phone was the transfer of installer(.sis) file? Then I went to check on the Application Manager under Tools.
I found 3 "lifeblog" appeared in the application manager. Then I went on checking their details. They are 3 different files with different file sizes, 453kB, 14kB, and 1kB respectively.
    Questions:
    01. Does this mean I have only 1 installation of lifeblog or..1kB stands for the shortcut; 14kB stands for the installer; and 453kB is the app that being installed??
    02. Any one of them could be removed? If one of them is the installer, I guess it could be removed?
    Please help. Thanks

    Hi
The version of LifeBlog that came on the CD is out of date as v2.5 is out.
I would recommend you do the following :
    1) Download the most recent version of LifeBlog (both the PC and mobile versions) from here :
    http://www.nokia.com/lifeblog
Ensuring you have DirectX9 and PC Suite if required.
    2) Uninstall your EXISTING LifeBlog on PC
    3) Reboot your PC
    4) Uninstall all 3 versions of LifeBlog on your mobile
    5) Power cycle your phone (switch off and then on)
    6) Install the mobile version of LifeBlog on your phone - the size should be 863k
    7) Install the PC version of LifeBlog
That should sort your issue out.
    Hope it helps.
    Regards,
    Edward

  • Backup Problem on Lifeblog 2.5

    hi!
my phone model is n70 and i've got all the data saved nicely in lifeblog 2.5.i'm changing my computer so i decided to backup all the data with the option backup data from lifeblog.the problem is that when saving object 509 from 2075 it stop and says error in saving. please try again.
    what should i do?
    thanks

    Hello,
I also have the same problem with an N80 running Lifeblog 2.5.224 on an XP SP2 PC with all the latest patches. Adding new items from my phone to Lifeblog occur hapily without incident.
After attempting a backup I get to record 1848 of 3029 and the following error message is shown.
"Backup Failed. Backup failed for the following reason: An error occurred while backing up data. Please try again."
I assume that I could remove the offending item from Lifeblog and then backup might complete. This is not ideal, but definitely better then having no backup of all the rest of the data.
The problem is that I have no way to find what item 1848 is in my database. Does any one know how this item can be found by its number?
I have only ever had a few problems with Lifeblog launching and each time the database consistency check passes which does not make sense why the backup is failing.
I have also tried reinstalling Lifeblog to no effect. Any ideas?

  • Nokia Lifeblog - Can't Sync - 'An Error occurred"

    Hi guys,
I've been using Nokia LifeBlog flawlessly for a while with my Nokia N81.
Suddenly when I try to sync it, it gives me an error that says:
    "An Error occurred"
I've tried reinstalling Nokia Lifeblog heaps of times, nothing seems to work.
    Any help please?

Actually, I've realised now that my phone doesn't connect to PC Suite at all or any other Nokia apps
I've tried reinstalling and this doens't fix the problem.
When I open 'Connection Manager' it says:
"Connection to Nokia Nseries system utilities failed. Please reinstall Nokia Nseries system utilities. (Code: Init IMediaControl2)"
    Anyone can help me please?
I've checked on my phone, USB mode is turned on to 'PC Suite'

  • LifeBlog - what a great tool ! - One suggested imp...

I've just discovered LifeBlog and I wanted to say Congratulations to the Nokia Software Team - I have to say you would be a company I'd like to work for - this is the tool that I've been looking for since I've owned a mobile phone and now found - it's great !
One thing I've found using the program that would be REALLY useful is the ability to import past backups made from phone which aren't necessarily of the same model.
So for example, if I am running LifeBlog on my PC, and have used LifeBlog to transfer the contents of my N70 to my PC to create a timeline, it would be great to be able to generate a more complete timeline, by being able to import past backups made from the PC Suite software, both of my N70 at a particular point in the past, but also of previous phones - e.g. my Nokia 6230.
As far as I am aware the PC Suite files are *.nfb format and from what I remember of a previous posting on the Nokia development forums, Nokia have not made the format of this file public, so it should be possible to release another version of LifeBlog in the future which would have the ability to import messages etc. etc. from past backups ?
Once again - thanks for making this tool - it's great !
    Regards

I don't think you can CURRENTLY do it in LifeBlog (at least I haven't found a way to do it) - but it would be a useful function to have ...
Since Nokia wrote both LifeBlog AND Nokia Content Copier, they will have the file format information which is necessary for LifeBlog to be able to import NCC data

  • Using Lifeblog to copy images to my computer from ...

Help please and sorry if this has been posted before (new to this forum).
At the moment I can't transfer images from my N95 to my computer via Lifeblog. Each time I try I'm told there's a system error. There's no issue about space on either the phone or the computer so it's a mystery to me.
Has anyone out there had this problem and resolved it?

I have had this problem also. It was copying fine until I received a phone call during the copying process which disrupted it. Now every time I try to copy from the phone, I get system error message on the phone and no items were copied message on my PC. I am trying to copy all content to my lifeblog not just images.
I hope Nokia answer this soon. It's 7 months since this question was asked! Great response time!

  • Nokia N80 and LifeBlog problem(Please Help)

    Hello
I bought my n80 a week ago and I bought a 1GB memory card,so I moved all the files from the 128MB memory card to the 1GB memory card, anyways when I switched my mob on I had to install life blog again, but when I try to start the programme it wouldn't start, so I sent the aplication again from the old memory card to my phone using PC SUITE,anyways I just wanted to know whats the difference between those two file:
    LifeBlog_Installer
    LifeBlog
because when I installed LifeBlog_Installer the programme wouldn't work, but when I installed LifeBlog it worked perfectly, is it ok if I deleted LifeBlog_Installer?

This Apple Tech Support Document seems to mention exactly your error:
iSync: Error message when synching phone via Bluetooth in Mac OS X 10.4.9 or later

  • Nokia Lifeblog - Unable to open file error

    Hi all
Im using Nokia lifeblog on my Nokia N70. While it works fine, I have a lot of text and pic message entries in my lifeblog view which when i try to open give a message sayin "unable to open file, delete item??
I was wondering why this happens.
Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks

For the benefit of anyone who experiences this error in IIS7, the IUSR_xxx user no longer exists. You must grant permissions to "IIS APPPOOL\hfmAppPool" instead (select the local machine as the "Location" if Windows Explorer complains).
Similarly, for the benefit of those who get the error in HFM 11.1.2.1, security must be applied to the Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\product\FinancialManagement\Web folder.

  • Import Lifeblog 1.7 data to lifeblog 2.5 database

Hi, I use Nokia Lifeblog since 2004 (first with 6630 phone) and I have 3 databases (backups of NokiaLifeblogData folder) on that format, one database in Lifeblog 2.1 format (when I switch to a N73) and a current database in Lifeblog 2.5 format (now I have a N81 8GB).
    My question is:
How can I import/read or convert the old databases to new Lifeblog format?
I search the web and I found that SQLLITE Browser can open the database, but I can't download that program.
There is a solution with that program?
Which is the best forum to put my question?
