Light Black Spot on iPhone 6+ Photos?

Hello, I've had my 6+ happily for a good while now, that is, until a minor problem started to occur...
For some reason, on 95% of the pictures I take with the rear-facing camera, there appears to be a darkened little spot on each photo, in the exact same spot.
I have thoroughly cleaned the lens, inspected it for scratches, and still can't figure out what the problem is!
If anyone has any information as to what this maybe, I would appreciate assistance!
Thanks!

I have not come across this issue personally at all. And I am sure I have not seen this issue come up in any forum. It definitely must be an internal hardware issue. Just take it to your local Apple Store and they should probably replace it with a new one.

  • Is it necessary to have a light black installed if not printing photos on a 7525 phitosmart

Is it necessary to have a light black cartridge  installed if you are not printing photos?  Keep getting low ink message and it is the only one showing low.

    Hello calcowgirl,
    Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you would like to do some printing without replacing the Light Black ink Cartridge.
This printer will need to have all the ink installed to function.  The way the printer is designed is that it will take ink from the fuller cartridges to compensate and to complete print jobs.
Here is a document that explains Ink Usage in Inkjet Printers.
    Thanks for your time.

  • Black spot on "Camera" taking photos, not videos

Hello everybody. I hope that you can help me. Today I updated my iPhone 4S to iOS6 and now I have a black spot up and left side of the camera. First I thought that it was something stuck to the lens, but it wasn't and when i set up the camera to use it to take a video the black spot doesn't appeirs. I've turned off the Camera app, the iPhone, I've tryed to change the options, puting in landscape mode, everything... and nothing happens. Also, when I use another app that uses the camera... it doesn't show the black spot.
Is a problem with iOS6?. Does someone know how to fix it?... Somebody has the same problem?... anything that can help me .
    Thanks!

(and by the way, of course the iPhone didn't received any punch)

  • How do I remove black spots on silver side of iPhone 5 and what is it??

How do I remove black spots on silver side of iPhone 5 and what is it?? Is it the silver rubbed off which I don't understand as I have been using a silicon case. Or is it due to trapped dirt within the silicon case somehow embedded now? I have tried to rub it off with a cloth and water but it doesn't work.

Hi no if you zoom in a bit on the photo you can see little black specks. I had to compress the photo as only a 2mb limit on here for files so it's quite hard to see. They are all along the side of it on the silver and at the top of the phone as well.

  • Black spot on the iphone 5S

Hi, i've got almost one moth ago the iphone 5s, and has a black spot on the right side. i dont know what could be, so if someone has the same problem, could help me!?

If this is damage from misuse it is not covered. Otherwise it is covered. It does not matter the Apple Store vs other store for purchase location, the 1 year Warranty is identical. Next time you go to Apple Store ask to see the store manager.

  • Some iPhone 4S photos imported via Photo Stream are black

I'm seeing a whole bunch of iPhone 4S photos imported via Photo Stream as black images in latest iPhoto '11.  When I look at the original file in finder, it is intact, however the modified one is just a black image (which is what shows up in iPhoto).
This is very concerning.  I'm now manually re-importing all my 4S photos.
Strangely, the same photos that appear black in iPhoto Photo Stream are fine on my iPad and iPhone Photo Stream view.
So it seems that iPhoto is breaking them when it imports them.

There are several possible causes for the Black Screen issue
    1. Permissions in the Library: Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Include the option to check and repair permissions.
    2. Minor Database corruption: Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild.
    3. A Damaged Photo: Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and right click on it. From the resulting menu select 'Show File (or 'Show Original File' if that's available). Will the file open in Preview? If not then the file is damaged. Time to restore from your back up.
    4. A corrupted iPhoto Cache: Trash the com.apple.iPhoto folder from HD/Users/Your Name/Library/ Caches...
    5. A corrupted preference file: Trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder. (Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
    If none of these help:
    As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

  • Black Spots before still photos in movie

Hey There, I'm new to iMovie and seem to be getting a black spot after a transition and just before a still photo. I don't know what it is or how to remove it? Has anyone else experienced this? Is it something I need to change with the transition or the photo? I hope someone can help

    Take a look at iPhoto.
It has more features for image formats and works well with iDVD.
Your original image files will be reduced in dimensions to fit the TV "safe viewing" area (about 640X480).
To get the iPhoto slideshow "movie" onto your iPad you will export it to QuickTime format and select the iPad preset and then add it to your iTunes Library.

  • Black spot on corner of iPhone 4 screen

I got my iPhone 4 at the beginning of July. About a week and a half ago this tiny little black spot showed up in the top left hand corner of my screen. I ignored it at first because it was small but it keeps growing. The phone hasn't been dropped or anything like that. The outside is perfect with no scratches or anything on it. The screen still works but the corner is completely black. I contacted Apple yesterday and I chose the option of paying $29 for a new phone over sending it in to be repaired mainly because they said it is probably a hardware issue and I don't trust this particular phone since it already had a problem after just 1 month of having it. They were very helpful on the phone and said that as long as the moisture sensors showed that it was fine (the bottom sensor that I can visibly see is white so this isn't an issue), the phone will be replaced with the new one for just the $29 even though they put a hold on my credit card for the full price of the phone to ensure that I actually send this one back. Has anyone ever had an issue like this on their phone? I was really disappointed when this happened but when it started growing, I was extremely frustrated. I am happy that they were so nice about the issue and everything is being handled in a nice way but this is just really disappointing. I have read of dead pixels happening but I don't know if these are dead pixels. It is completely black, not colored. Any idea what this might be? or has anyone experienced this with a phone before?

I'm sorry but I thought this was a forum about Apple products. Yes, there are more important things to worry about but that doesn't mean that I can't be disappointed that my phone had a malfunction. While on an Apple forum, I feel that I should be able to discuss how I feel about a certain Apple product. And yes, I am getting mine replaced but you didn't answer my question that I asked. I know that I am getting it replaced and the problem will be solved but my question was does anyone know what the cause of this may be or if anyone has experienced this before. If you read my post, you will see that I said I am very happy with the way Apple handled it, but it is disappointing to have this happen to my new phone. I don't appreciate your post and it had zero helpfulness. Maybe you should realize that while on a forum about Apple products, even though they aren't the most important things in the world, people will discuss their issues with these products and yes, some will even be disappointed. Deal with it.

  • Black Spot on Photos

I have recently discovered a black spot while taking photos using my 6 Plus. It shows up on all of my photos. All of my lenses are perfectly clean. Any ideas on what has caused this? And no, I haven't dropped it at all.

Do you see the spot only on the phone when viewing or on the computer as well?

  • Black spot on my iPhone 3Gs Camera

Even though outer hardware looks completely damage less, the Camera is showing small black spot and it's also showing up on the picture i take with it.
It just simply dosen't go away,
I been to everywhere and they all come with same answer; "go to apple"
I wondering if apple will exchange this right away with out a hassle.
Anyone had same problem? what do you do about it?

I´ve noticed the same think as you. On my camscreen I´ve got a crocked line.
Didn´t have that black line before, so I´ve thought it was a minor bump that caused this to happend.
So... hmm... If a bump on the cam side of the phone could cause this, a new
bump on the same side would fix it again?
Down to business: smack! right on my knee twice, and look: the black spot in
the cam app is now gone!
Think I should go to the store and let them have a look at it.
But wait for weeks for a replaced/fixed one? Don´t think so.
So if you dare: Try slapp your baby once or twice on the lense side corner.
    Worked for me!
