Light box close button

I am trying to create a second closure button for my lightbox widget and I am not sure if this is even possible. I was wondering if anyone had any solution. I am currently using the normal close button for a certain function but my client would like another regular close button. You can go to http://www.mdsclutching.com/index.html

You can include close button in lightbox composition which would show up with lightbox display, we cannot use 2 close buttons or copy close button for function on same lightbox.
Thanks,
Sanjit

  • Interactive Prototype - How do you simulate light boxes with buttons? (CS4)

    I am in the process of mocking up an interactive prototype of the homepage of a web application.  On this homepage, there are various links(text with slices) and fields that when clicked on will trigger a dialog to appear over the top of the page similar to a "light box" effect seen on many other websites/applications.
    The workflow I am trying to simulate is as follows:
    User clicks the text link (state 1)
    Dialog appears on top of current page (state 2)
    User fills in necessary fields then clicks save button (state 2)
    Dialog disappears and returns user to base state (state 1)
    The base state of the page is in state 1.  I placed the images/content for the light box in state 2 and then added an onclick image swap behavior to have the link in state 1 trigger the light box (also a slice) to appear in state two.  That all worked fine until I added a save button symbol from the common library to the lightbox dialog in state 2.  When I did that, Fireworks automatically brought be back to state 1 and the button appears on both/all states no matter what I try to do.  Also, my attempts to add an onclick behavior to the save button to bring me back to state 1 haven't worked either.
    So my questions are:
    How do I get that button only to appear on state 2?
    The "hotspot" for that button or any slice/hotspot in any state appears active for all states but are only valid for when that certain dialog appears.  Is there a way to manipulate button/slice hotspots across states so they are only active in the correct states?
    How do I get the Save button to bring me back to the base state?
    Mocking up a lightbox type dialog seems like it would be a pretty common thing to do so I am hoping this is just a simple mistake I am making... any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Here are some images to help illustrate what I am trying to do:
    Desired:
    Here is what Fireworks is doing:
    State 1 w/link behavior
    State 1 with button behavior (this appears on state 1 no matter where I add the button but I want it only to appear in state 2)
    State 2
    And here is the actual fireworks png proof of concept:

    Hi Linda,
    Thanks for the suggestion, however, that doesn't appear to be working.  I've uploaded the file that I am using as my proof of concept.  You can download it via the link below.  I changed the button so it's only a graphic with a slice over it but there are still two issues.  When the save button is clicked the state does not change back to state 1.  The second problem is that even in state 1, the active area for the save button slice in state 2 is still active even though the button is not there. Any thoughts?

  • I have these black boxes surrounding things, e.g., there is a black box around the red "close" button on the upper left corner of this page.  There is also an oblong black box

    Hi - I'm not only having trouble waking up my MBP from sleep and having to restart repeatedly which is a pain in itself, but now when it restarted, I have these black boxes surrounding things, e.g., there is a black box around the red "close" button on the upper left corner of this page.  There is also an oblong resizable black box sitting on top of anything.  The content changes depending on the actions I take.  Right now it says, "You are currently on a close button.  To click this button, which closes the current window, press Control-Option-Space."  Right now I'm open in Firefox, but it doesn't matter if only Finder is open, it's still there.  I've tried closing all my applications and restarting and I also reset the PRAM.  It won't go away.  It's probably something simple, but I don't know how to get rid of it.  Any suggestions are welcome.
    Thanks,
    Janet

    Thanks so much.  I saw this on "desktop strangeness" immediately after I posted and tried to retract my question.  It worked perfectly.  I'm not sure how VoiceOver got turned on unless something happened when I was trying to wake up the computer.  I open the lid and it flashes whatever is open and then the screen goes black and I can't wake it up.  Still looking for the resolution to this.

  • Even in Safe Mode, minimize, restore, and close buttons are missing, though the functions remain, and a dialog box now comes up when opening FF.

    Ever since I installed the latest Firefox update, the minimize, restore, and close buttons are visually missing, though their functions are still present.
    I have also started to have one of those dialog boxes asking whether or not I would like to allow a program to make changes to my PC come up when I open Firefox.

    Check that Firefox isn't set to run as Administrator.
    Right-click the Firefox desktop shortcut and choose "Properties".
    Make sure that all items are deselected in the "Compatibility" tab of the Properties window.
    * Privilege Level: "Run this program as Administrator" should not be selected
    * "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" should not be selected
    Also check the Properties of the firefox.exe program in the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\).
    If you can't make the changes then you need to start Windows Explorer as Administrator.

  • "Close" button in Blank Composition Options "Parts" Box Isn't Operational?

    I'm using a blank composition with targets to add menu choices within a page. I can open the target boxes with "Stay on Rollout" or "Hide on Rollout" by mousing over the trigger. I want the target box to stay as long as the cursor is over it because I'm putting additional hyperlinks inside the target box. However, when I roll out of the target box I want the box to disappear so I can see the page behind it again, IF no new navigation was chosen inside the composition target box. Right now the "close" button in the "Parts" section of the Composition Options menu appears to be non-operational. I can only choose to have the target stay on rollout, or hide on rollout. If I choose stay, I have to mouse over another trigger to make the first box hide again. Am I using this wrong? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

    Hi Brad,
    Unfortunately it's a new product that I can't put up a link to yet.
    However, no page elements are overlapping on top of the "close" button; in fact the button is just grayed-out in the Parts Menu, you can't select it, it seems non-operational.
    Basically what I'm trying to do is use a blank composition to create "fly-outs" within a page. It works partially well, except for the issues i delineated in my original post. Is this the best way to create fly out menus? Here is a link to another site that does what I'm attempting to replicate:
    http://www.seemonterey.com
    If you mouse over the menu items in the main menu at the top of the page, you'll see flyouts which will either hold if you move the cursor over one and/or select a navigation trigger inside that flyout, or disappear when you mouse over another main menu item and then a new flyout appears from that. It's a nice effect, I'd like to do the same on my project.
    Thanks again

  • Every once in a while, a black box will cover the windows minimize, maximize, and close buttons, and then I can't minimize firefox quickly or easily.

    After a bunch of browsing, a black window takes over the windows caption bar and covers the minimize, maximize, and close buttons. When this happens, I can't close firefox except by accessing the firefox menu. And there is no way to minimize or maximize the window.

  • Internet Explorer CLOSE Button for OBPM 10GR3 Presentations

    Hi all,
    I am using OBPM 10GR3 presentations with a POPUP window.
    I already have a close button to close the presentation. This is a Global Interactive Activity which displays the dashboards.
    The Global Interactive Activity contains a screenflow and inside the screenflow I have a Interactive Component Call to call the presentation.
    Now the presentation opens smoothly and everything is displayed.. When we hit the CLOSE button everything goes away and when we open it again it again comes back to the previous Interactive Component Call and restarts.
    BUT
    When we Close the window itself instead of using the CLOSE button of the presentations, and we re-open, we get the previous data.
    This is because we do not hit the CLOSE button of the presentation instead hit the IE WINDOW CLOSE button on the top right hand corner besides the minimize maximize button.
    Therefore the call is still inside the screenflow inside the Global Interactive Activity and therefore it waits for the user to hit the CLOSE button of the presentations otherwise does not close.
    How can we resolve this issue?
    How can we make sure, that if the user closes the IE WINDOW itself using the CLOSE button, it closes the presentation itself and when re-opened displays the previous presentation?

    Hi,
    First of all this is a training issue with the user. It is not advisable not to press the close button of the IE.
    Nevertheles you can disable to close button of the presentaion.
    You can remove the x from dialogs by doing this. Open the executionDialog.xhtml file in the <OraBPMEnterpriseHomeDirectory>\webapps\workspace\jsf\common directory (both Studio and Enterprise have this file).
    Change the text on line 81 from this:
    <oc:Dialog verticalAlign="top" offsetY="40" backColor="#D4E1EB" borderColor="#517B9E"
    borderStyle="solid" borderWidth="1px" id="executionDialog#{componentBean.id}"
    title="#{fn:getMsg('EXECUTION')}" broadcastName="executionDialog#{componentBean.id}"
    maximized="#{componentBean.executionDialogMaximized}" width="#{componentBean.executionDialogWidth}"
    height="#{componentBean.executionDialogHeight}" titleBarCssClass="bpmWorkspaceDialogHeader"
    displayMaximizeButton="true"
    modal="false" jsObjectName="executionDialog#{componentBean.id}">
    to this:
    <oc:Dialog verticalAlign="top" offsetY="0" backColor="#FFFFFF" borderColor="#FFFFFF"
    borderStyle="solid" borderWidth="1px" id="executionDialog#{componentBean.id}"
    title="#{fn:getMsg('EXECUTION')}" broadcastName="executionDialog#{componentBean.id}"
    maximized="#{componentBean.executionDialogMaximized}" width="#{componentBean.executionDialogWidth}"
    height="#{componentBean.executionDialogHeight}" titleBarCssClass="bpmWorkspaceDialogHeader"
    displayMaximizeButton="true"
    displayCloseButton="false" modal="false" jsObjectName="executionDialog#{componentBean.id}">
    This change does a couple things. The addition of the text "displayCloseButton="false"" removes the x button that is causing the undesired results you're getting and setting the colors to #FFFFFF changes the light blue border around dialog boxes to white.

  • Captivate 7 question - slide with audio and light boxes not functioning properly

    I am currently working a project and cannot figure something out.
    I have a slide with 9 smartshape buttons on it.  When each button is clicked it brings up a lightbox.  Each lightbox has it's own close button. When the lightbox is closed by the user then the user immediately sees the 9 button screen and can choose another button to view and read, and so forth.  I have the lightboxes working fine.
    Now, I added text to speech.  It is a mere 15 seconds in length, but it contains some important content and the directions.  I want the text to speech audio to stop playing if the user goes ahead and clicks on one of the 9 buttons which then brings up a lightbox.  I want the audio to then resume when they close the lightbox.  OK I have all of that working in a technical sense.
    I've also tried this advanced action, but this stops the Audio entirely, however it does solve the autoadvance issue. so I am just trading issues.
    I also have  "back and next" nav buttons on the slide, so the user must click one or the other to proceed off the slide.  Ok those worked.
    Here is the issue.  Once I added the text to speech audio, at the end of 17.3 seconds, whatever lightbox the user may be viewing and they hit the close lightbox button, captivate automatically sends the user to the next slide.  No clicking "Next" or anything.  I can't figure out why this is occurring.
    Prior to adding audio the slide worked as it should with the user being able to click each of the 9 buttons to "read some info" then close it and click another button on the slide, etc.  They could do this in any order they wanted.
    When I added the audio, I set the advanced actions so if a user clicked on one of the buttons, the audio would stop playing until they came back to the main screen.  Ok no problem getting that to function - except it stops functioning at the end of 17.3 seconds.
    What am I missing?
    Thanks for any help!!!
    Michelle

    Correct I have only 15 seconds of audio with the slide.  no audio with any of the light boxes.  Those are "read only" light boxes.
    If the user clicks a shape button early, before the entire audio has played, I want the audio to stop, so the user can read the lightbox info, then as they click back to the slide away from the lightbox, I want the audio to resume playing - so they can hear the rest of the audio.  But,  this is where is doesn't function properly as when the audio finishes playing at 15 seconds.  The next shape button the user clicks on to shows the lightbox, but when they click to close the lightbox, the lightbox closes then sends the user to the next slide.  They haven't had a chance to view any of the other shape buttons and the information found in those corresponding light boxes.
    I hope this clarifies.
    Any thoughts?
    Michelle

  • How to avoid the "Save As" dialog when using "Close Button"

    Hello All,
    I am facing a problem while closing a pdf file.
    I am using the following code to Open a pdf file.
    CAcroApp objAcroApp = new AcroAppClass();
    CAcroAVDoc objAVDoc = new AcroAVDoc();
    objAVDoc.Open(C:\\new.pdf,Sample);
    objAcroApp.Show();
    After opening the document I am **** some changes (adding markup) in the file.
    Then I am closing the file using the Close Button and in YES for the save confirmation dialog.
    Here is the problem.
    After giving YES, I am getting a Save As dialog with "Sample.pdf" in the FileName box.
    I am getting this only in Acrobat 9.0.
    When I tried the same in Acrobat 8.0 I didnt get Save As dialog. It saved with out "Save As" dialog in "C:\\new.pdf".
    I need to give the same behavior in both Acrobat 9.0 and 8.0.
    Please help me out to fix this issue. Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Mohd Mustafa SK

    In what you have posted, there is no reason it shouldn't work the same way in Acrobat 9. I would recommend that you submit your complete application to developer support.

  • How to restrict closing the tab in tabpane after clicking the close button.

    Hi all,
    Greetings.
    I am implementing a TabPane with different 'user form's in each Tab. And all the tabs are *'closable'*.
    If the user enters some data in the form, and tries to close the tab without saving the form , i need to show a confirm dialogue box that the user should go ahead or not.
    If he clicks cancel, the tab should not close.
    But currently i am searching for a method something like 'setOnClosing' method for tab.
    There is only tab.setOnClosed() method, which will call the event after closing the tab.
    Some thing the code is like below.
    tab.setOnClosed(new EventHandler<javafx.event.Event>() {
         @Override
         public void handle(javafx.event.Event e) {
            // TODO: Actions to be taken on close of tab.
               // Logic to show the confirm dialouge box.
               //  if YES - close the tab
               //  if NO - don't close the tab.
    });But my logic is executing after closing the tab. (ofcourse, as it is on setOnClosed() ;) ). Can anyone tell me how to get control before closing the tab ?
    Thanks in Advance.
    Sai Pradeep Dandem.

    Hi All,
    Finally I managed to get the handler before closing the tab pane. :)
    Though this is a bit weird work around, my requirement is fulfilled at-least.
    Let me explain the workaround I did.
    Tab tab = new Tab(title);
    tab.setClosable(false); // This line of code  makes sure that the “default” close button of the tab is not appeared.
    setClosableButton(tab);Then I am setting the custom close button as a graphic to the label ( Title of the tab), and aligning that graphic position to make an effect, that it is rendered exactly at the position of “Close” button.
    From this Custom Close Button, I am handling the events and if confirmed I am closing the tab manually, by calling the closeTab() method in the TabPaneBehavior class.
    Below is the code that is implemented as per the above logic.
          * Method to set the custom Closable Button to the given tab.
          * @param tab - Tab
         private void setClosableButton(final Tab tab,final boolean closeCheck){
              final StackPane closeBtn = new StackPane(){
                   @Override
                   protected void layoutChildren() {
                        super.layoutChildren();
                        // Setting the orientation of graphic(button) to the right side.
                        ((Label)((LabelSkin)getParent()).getSkinnable()).setStyle("-fx-content-display:right;");
              closeBtn.getStyleClass().setAll(new String[] { "tab-close-button" });
              closeBtn.setStyle("-fx-cursor:hand;");
              closeBtn.setPadding(new Insets(0,7,0,7));
              closeBtn.visibleProperty().bind(tab.selectedProperty());
              final EventHandler<ActionEvent> closeEvent = new EventHandler<ActionEvent>() {
                   @Override
                   public void handle(ActionEvent paramT) {
                        ((TabPaneSkin)TabPaneComponent.this.getSkin()).getBehavior().closeTab(tab);
              // Handler for the close button.
              closeBtn.setOnMouseReleased(new EventHandler<MouseEvent>() {
                   @Override
                   public void handle(MouseEvent paramT) {
                        // My logic to handle the close event or not.
                                    if( logic satisfied){
                             closeEvent.handle(null);
                                    }else{
                                           // Dont close the tab.
              // Showing the close button if the tab is selected.
              tab.selectedProperty().addListener(new ChangeListener<Boolean>() {
                   @Override
                   public void changed(ObservableValue<? extends Boolean> paramObservableValue,Boolean paramT1, Boolean isSelected) {
                        if(isSelected){
                             tab.setGraphic(closeBtn);
                        }else{
                             tab.setGraphic(null);
         }There are some drawbacks in the above code. In practice, it is suggested not to use the classes (*LabelSkin* & TabPaneSkin) that are in com.sun.javafx package. But I couldn’t get a better solution other than using those classes. And another one is I could'nt set the actual graphic for tab, as i am already using that graphic property to show the close button.
    I would like to thank Narayan, for giving some inputs which has helped me to think and get the above solution. :)

  • Cap2, exe close button not working

    I'm publishing to an exe, and I have a disclaimer page where
    I want the user to choose between agree & disagree. Agree is
    easy, I added a button, on success: continue. With Disagree, I want
    the whole project to close, so I looked up the code for making a
    close button with the following typed in the javascript box
    "javascript:window.close()". Now, when I click on the button it
    opens Internet Explorer and then displays the following error
    message: "Internet Explorer cannot download . Unspecified error."
    So I ran through the forums looking for some help & I've
    since changed the javascript to show "window.close()", then
    "windows.close()", and still, same error message & the project
    still doesn't close.
    What am I missing?
    Thanks.

    Hi B Ellefson
    Are you sitting down? I hope so because this one is pretty
    easy.
    Just click Project > Preferences... > Start and End tab
    and configure the action for when the movie ends to be "Close
    project". Then configure that "Disagree" button to simply jump to
    the last slide. You might even wish to make that last slide really
    short from a timing perspective. Maybe .1 seconds or so.
    With this approach, your .EXE should close quickly, quietly
    and consistently.
    Cheers... Rick

  • How to hide the Slidelite close button [X]

    I'm using Captivate 4.
    I would like to know how to hide this ugly close button [X] when a slidlet is displayed on a slide ? I understand that this is usefull when the option Stick Slidelet is selected but i think the [X] makes little sens otherwise.

    Hi there
    Sorry, but there is no way to hide it. At least not using Captivate as it is out of the box.
    Maybe one of the Flash savvy folks knows a way. But that would require knowledge of Flash as well as how it interacts with Captivate to accomplish.

  • Is there a way to add a link to Light Box?

    I just want to know if there is a way to add a link to Light box? , so when you click the image light box opens and you see a link displayed under the image. Where would I add the link, between what tags?
    [HTML] Lightbox Link - Pastebin.com

    The original markup is
    <a href="assets/images/Alogo.png" data-lightbox="Illustratorwork" data-title="Angie - A client who wanted a logo created for her own personal use."><img src="assets/images/Alogo.png" alt=" A client who wanted a logo created"></a>
    When jQuery has finished with it, the markup becomes
    <div style="display: block; width: 1779px; height: 817px;" id="lightboxOverlay" class="lightboxOverlay"></div><div style="display: block; top: 50px; left: 0px;" id="lightbox" class="lightbox"><div style="width: 811px; height: 608px;" class="lb-outerContainer"><div class="lb-container"><img style="display: block; width: 803px; height: 600px;" class="lb-image" src="assets/images/Alogo.png"><div style="display: block;" class="lb-nav"><a style="display: none;" class="lb-prev" href=""></a><a style="display: block;" class="lb-next" href=""></a></div><div style="display: none;" class="lb-loader"><a class="lb-cancel"></a></div></div></div><div style="display: block; width: 811px;" class="lb-dataContainer"><div class="lb-data"><div class="lb-details"><span style="display: block;" class="lb-caption">Angie - A client who wanted a logo created for her own personal use.</span><span class="lb-number">Image 1 of 4</span></div><div class="lb-closeContainer"><a class="lb-close"></a></div></div></div></div>
    You will notice that the original is wrapped in an anchor element, stopping us from placing an anchor element around the title. Yet in the finished markup, the caption does not reside within an anchor element. To wrap the caption in an anchor element we have to fool the browser by using character entities for less than (<) , greater than (>) and quote (') signs. Once the page/modal is displayed, the browser will interpret the entities to what we want.

    I am using a Microsoft Natural 4000 Keyboard
    IF I update to Mozila 5.0 when i use the close button it shuts down the whole browser nut just the active tab
    Is there a workaround for this because I like the close button feature

    Could you try disabling graphics hardware acceleration? (I'm having trouble determining from your "More system information" whether it's enabled or disabled.) Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.
    You usually need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
    orange Firefox button ''or'' classic Tools menu > Options > Advanced
    On the "General" mini-tab, uncheck the box for "Use hardware acceleration when available"
    If you restart Firefox, is the issue resolved?

  • How to bring back the black dot on the red close button for edited/unsaved files?

    I've ticked the box for "Ask to keep changes when closing documents" System Preferences / General. I'm operating within Mac OS 10.8.4 (Mountain Lion).
    When I make changes to an open file in most every program, a black dot appears on the red close button in the top-left corner of the file's window. This convention goes back a decade to early Mac OS X, as I recall.
    However, I don't see this behavior in a few applications lately, such as Xcode 4.6.3 or QuickTime Player 10.2.
    Anyone know how to bring this functionality back?
    Thank you.

    Nobody knows? Not even administrators?
    Please it would be really nice to have help on that to take all the benefit of the remote app.
    Thank you very much in advance.
