Light grey lines appearing when loading webpages.

In the small time from when I click on a link and Firefox loads the page, there are these small grey lines that appear. (http://prntscr.com/56zhsd) When I bought my computer, there were none. But within a week they started to appear and they just kept on adding ever since.
I've updated to the newest version of Firefox and I've run it in Safe Mode, no solution.

Thank you '''so''' much.
I was beginning to worry that it was a hardware problem as many of my computers that I have owned previously have had the same issue but on every program.

Smudgy type grey lines appearing on right hand side of my imac screen , they run from top to bottom with varing degrees. Can someone advise as what to do.

Run Apple Hardware Test in Extended Mode, if you get a error code then take it to your local Apple Store or AASP for a repair estimate. Chances are it's your graphics card failing. If you would like some additional information please read LCD displays common problems.

I can't personally as I never really liked nor used the picture frame feature in iPad.  Just search in the App Store and read customer reviews and you'll likely find something you'll like.

  • Safari 3.1.1 hesitates when loading webpage

    I have a G4/667 (circa 2001) running OS X 10.4.1
I noticed that Safari 3.1.1 hesitates noticeably when loading a webpage. The blue progress bar freezes at the beginning, & SLOWLY progresses. (it's really maddening & gets on my nerves) I tested the webpages on Firefox, & it DOESN'T HAPPEN.
What is going on? I think other users have noticed the same thing.
I tried everything: empty Safari cache, restart computer, run Onyx to clean things up.

    Hi
    running OS X 10.4.1
I think you meant 10.4.11 as Safari 3.1.1 is incompatible with earlier versions of OS X.
What you describe is more of a Network issue. Go to your System Preferences Network panel. Do the following:
-Location - set up a personal location by clicking on the location drop down menu and selecting "add a location". Use a name familiar to you. Once established, select "apply".
-Next, click on the "Show" drop down menu and select Network Port Configurations. Depending on whether you use Ethernet or Airport (wireless) for your setup: Only Ethernet or Airport ought to be checked. Move it to the top of the list (you can drag it). Select "apply". Everything else ought to be unchecked unless you use a Bluetooth device.
-Back to the "Show" menu, select either "Ethernet" or "Airport" (whichever applies to you). Click on the TCP panel. There, if you live outside the US enter 208.67.222.220 and 208.67.220.222 (separate lines) in the DNS servers box - these are Opensource DNS codes. and select "apply". If you live in the US use Verizon's 4.2.2.1 and 4.2.2.2 public codes instead of the OpenDNS codes.

  • Safari freezes when loading webpages, rainbow wheel

When loading some webpages, especially blogs with pictures from blogspot.com, safari freezes about 75% into loading the page. The rainbow wheel appears and spins indefinitely and does not stop until I force quit the program. This happens on Firefox, too. The problem occurs nearly every time I try loading these webpages.
This problem began once I installed Leopard.

    Nevermind, I figured it out.
Some flash files were corrupted, so I updated those and repaired permissions.

  • Lines appear when zoomed in

These lines appear around the cursor when I use CTRL+scroll-up to zoom in. Is this a known issue with snow leopard or should I see a Apple genius?

This "smudging" problem was something I experienced when running 10.5, however 10.6 has fixed it for me. Are you fully up to date in software update? Going to Apple > About this Macintosh > More info > Graphics/Displays, what is your chipset model?

  • Black line appearing when using Magic Bullet

I have installed the latest Magic Bullet suite and it all works fine within Premiere, except when I apply a Look. In the Looks Builder the image looks fine. However, when I go back to Premiere a black line appears on the left hand side of the image. In the Effects Control if I click on 'Motion' or the effect itself, 'Looks', then the black line disappears, but it then reappears when I click off or try and render the image. It is unclear whether the error is in Premiere or with Magic Bullet. I am working with HDV widescreen footage. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure that the properties for LooksBuilder.exe are set to run in Windows XP (Service Pack 2) compatibility mode. It may help. If not, provide a lot more details and start with the 16 questions at the end of the included Wiki link:

  • Itunes sound distorted when loading webpages

    Hi,
I recently got a new laptop (like a week ago) and installed iTunes 9. This worked fine at first, but starting yesterday the sound gets distorted half the time I load webpages or open applications.
I've had this before on older computers, and assumed it was because of their limited technical capabilities. I don't think that's the case here, though.
Does anyone have any idea where the problem could be situated? Or might it be technical after all?
    Thanks in advance!
    Greetings,
    Steven

Sounds like your audio midi settings are not being stored properly.
I'd try deleting com.apple.audio.AudioMIDISetup.plist and resetting
    audio midi.
As you know, iTunes only reads the audio midi settings when it starts
up, so I'd do that with itunes not running.

  • WANTED: workaround for error in fontmgr.cpp line 1023 when loading LV 6 VIs

    Hi,
when loading existing VIs from LV6 with our new LV7Express the program (running under Linux 8) crashes with an error in fontmgr.cpp line 1023.
    Is there a workaround?
    Thanks.

    Hi dieter,
there is normally no workaround for internal LV errors. Report the error through the support pages to NI. Together with your VIs they will be able to fix the problem.

  • Grey Lines appear on my film

Currently i am useing a Canon XL1S witch uses mini dv tapes. I recently went and filmed some more fottage on a tape that i preveiously used and knew was good. After i went to go upload my fotage onto my mac using a fireware to mini dv cable (Witch conected the camera directly to the mac) i found that the fottage contained grey lines takeing up almost half the shot that was not there when i was looking threw the lense filming. The lines are also on the older fotage. I Tried viewing the fotage on another camera and the lines are still there. If anyone knows if this is an issue with the camera doing this to tapes or a way to recover fotage please let me know.

    Hello ASuicidalBullet,
Based on what you describe of this issue, it sounds like the heads on the camcorder need to be cleaned.  You can do this with a dry tape head cleaner.  Typically you run it for 10-15 seconds, but directions per tape may vary so check before using.  This will clean the vide heads and ensure nothing internal is causing this.  After you clean the heads, use a different tape and continue to use tapes that are all of the same brand.  This should resolve the issue you are having.

  • 2 light Vertical lines appeared...

    Hi.
After a few months, 2 vertical lines (multicolour but very light, not easy to be seen or recognised) appeared on my ipad 3 at about 1cm from each side.
At first I was thinking it was a kind of pixel issue close to the long size sides, but I noticed that by rotating my device 90°, the 2 lines appear at the same distance from the other 2 vertical sides, which are the shorter one... So nothing related to pixel or screen but looks like a software issue.
Is anybody experiencing the same issue?
    Thanks, cheers

...correction...as regarding the 90° rotation... They are present at about 1cm from each side, so they are 4 lines in total...

  • Massive Slowdown when loading webpage

Firefox become incredibly slow when loading in a webpage, especially ones with a lot of flash content. The progress wheel would lag, and scrolling will be jaggy etc. I am forced to switch to Chrome because this issue is getting on my nerves.

    Hello,
Some problems with Flash video playback can be resolved by disabling hardware acceleration in your Flash Player settings. (See [[Flash Plugin - Keep it up to date and troubleshoot problems|this article]] for more information on using the Flash plugin in Firefox).
To disable hardware acceleration in Flash Player:
#Go to this [http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html#main_Solve_video_playback_issues Adobe Flash Player Help page].
#Right-click on the Flash Player logo on that page.
#Click on '''Settings''' in the context menu. The Adobe Flash Player Settings screen will open.
    # Click on the icon at the bottom-left of the Adobe Flash Player Settings window to open the Display panel. <br/> <br/>[[Image:fpSettings1.PNG]] <br/>
    # Remove the check mark from '''Enable hardware acceleration'''.
    # Click '''Close''' to close the Adobe Flash Player Settings Window.
    # Restart Firefox.
This [http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/help01.html Flash Player Help - Display Settings page] has more information on Flash Player hardware acceleration, if you're interested.

  • OJ Pro8000 thin black line appear when using photo paper but not regular paper

When using both my OJPro 8000 and my wife's OJPro8500, thin black lines appear every 7/8" on the paper when using photo paper.  This does not happen if I print on regular bond paper.

Anything?  It's only happening in Photoshop, other apps print fine.

Recently when browsing Facebook, random white horizontal lines appear across the screen when scrolling up and down.
They will mostly go away when I move my mouse cursor across the screen.
I saw another post about this a few minutes ago (dated May 8) but now it no longer appears.
    Anybody have any ideas?
    Thanks in advance.

Is there any way I can find out if its the cord withhout taking the screen apart?
