Light leakage macbook pro 13 inch?

Hi everybody,
My macbook pro has backlight leakage from the bottom of the screen. It can only be seen clearly when I use 2/3 or full brightness, watch movies in the dark room, or set black background. Is it normal? because i have sent it to repair twice but look like the tech didn't find the problem.
Does anybody has experience this problem?
I have attacked some pictures that i took with my iphone 4 in the dark room.
Thanks

No one has this similar problem ?

  • Memory leakage Macbook pro retina 15inch Early 2013

    Hi,
This is my first posting to the Apple community, so please forgive me if have missed a previous posting on this subject.
I have an early 2013 15 inch MBPro retina running 8 gigs.  My previous device was a MBpro 15 early 2008 4 gigs of ram.  I never expected the 2013 with double the ram to be constantly dropping below 2 gigs with only FireFox and/or MS word running.   The older 2008 device used only 2 gigs to run these programs.  It appears that the 2013 model is using 6 gigs.
I took the 2013 15 inch  MBpro retina to the Apple store for the Geniuses to run their diagnostics.  They said my device was running normally.  To prove such, they simultaneously opened Jim Carrey's web site 8 times and showed me that all of his the crazy stuff was working in each window.  They said that it is normal for a SSD machine to run on low memory.
Unfortunately, it has been my experience that when my memory drops when just using my normal Firefox based surfing,  my track pad scrolling starts to get very sluggish until my "memory clean" kicks in at 1.6 gigs and brings the memory up to around  2.5 gigs.  As I continue to surf, then the process repeats itself.  I never expected my old 2008 device to use significantly less ram running light applications better than my new 2013 device.
I have seen others post an "EtreCheck" and hopefully by posting mine, somebody can find what the Apple Geniuses could not.
    Thank you for your help!!

  • Black Light Bleeding MacBook Pro 15

    Hello,
I have MacBook Pro 15 inch. It has black light bleeding. Please advice if I should go to Apple care and ask to replace screen? This is a picture of my retina macbook pro 15:

Take it in, if you are under ApplecCare, let them deal with it. That's what you paid for.

  • Portable Power using a Car Cigerette Lighter  with MacBook Pro

I would like to know if their is a product for the MacBook Pro Computer where you can take your computer on trips and charge the batteries while you drive by using the cigerette lighter and you can also use the computer. I know their is a product for the Power Book 4 called a Juicer. Any ideas if they have one for the MacBook Pro?

Get a 12 volt to 120 volt inverter. I have one that is good for 150 watts which is more than enough for the Apple 85 watt power adapter.

  • Caps Lock light on MacBook Pro not working.

The light on my MacBook Pro's Caps Lock does not turn on when I use it. However the Caps Lock feature works fine and I don't remember changing any features that would make this occur. I checked the Modifier Keys under system preferences and all defaults are set. This is a 2010 MacBook Pro with OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.7.

It's possible that it's burned out.
I'd try a SMC reset following these instructions:

  • No sound, both input/out and no red light. Macbook Pro 13Inch

i had my computer on sleep for like 30minutes, came back to it (at the time i had bose speakers plugged into the jack) and i clicked play (f8) and no sound came out, i tried turning sound up and back down using f11 and f12 and it didnt make that beep noise when you press the button for sound.
so i turned the speakers off and gently took out the jack from the Macbook.
There is no Internal sound as well nothing at all, i turned off the mac and turn it back on; there was no start up sound.
i bought the Macbook pro 13inch, 11th of Marth 2012.
have had no issues before this.
is there a solution i can do?, or would i need to head to a genius bar?
    Cheers,
    Byron Fisher

That should read speaker not speak and NOW nothing, not no nothing. Sorry.

It was working fine, but now it just doesn't light at all.  I checked System Preferences but there was nothing for keyboard lights.  Is this a sign of a bigger issue?

  • Built in speakers not working, no red light, 2011 MacBook Pro 15''.

I have been having audio issues with my computer ever since I upgraded to Mountian lion, internal speakers are not an option in sound settings. the volume indicator appears grey not black and sound is not adjustable. I am guessing Software issue because there is sound on my windows side. After looking at some crash reports and deleting unnessesairy files that could conflict. I saw some crash reports for coreaudiod and so i ran "open coreaudiod" in terminal (location usr>>sbin) came up with error "Exiting due to uncaught exception in main". I am not sure if this has anything to do with the issue, but it would be great if anyone could steer me in the right direction, or fix the problem entirely.

It sounds as though you're taking all the reasonable steps.
It could be a hardware issue, or a loose connector somewhere.  The key is to eliminate other possible sources of interference before assuming that it is hardware related (which will require a visit to the Mac Doctor).

  • Low battery warning light failure - macbook pro early 2011

Hi folks. When our battery indicator (Menu Bar) shows that roughly 20% of its charge remains, the 'puter basically shuts down. It won't revive from sleep mode no matter how many keys, incantations or trackpad touches we try. We have to hold the power button down for 30 seconds or more before the thing decides to reboot. Once it does restart, it doesn't recognize its network, it's clock goes back to 2000. To get back online requires a tour of Network settings, passwords, etc. Any suggestion as to what might be going on here?

    First try a SMC reset:

You may have a faulty battery.  Open System Information>Hardware>Power>Battery Information.  Post a copy of yours here like this from mine:

I've just bought a Macbook Pro 15" and I'm trying to use Photoshop, but the resolution its displaying the images at for 100% are too small. I have to design for the web, so need to be intricate with detail, but I'm finding it adjusts the resolution of the image right down. (I mean you can see the image clearly, but it's too small to edit). When I look at Safari and see a web page at 100% it's clear, but the same page displayed in Photoshop CC appears 50% of the size (even though it says it's 100%)   If I move the application window to another screen it adjusts it correctly  – leaving all the pallettes, menus and tools correctly sized as they are on the retina display   Is there some way to adjust the way Photoshop CC displays images so it is more consistent with what you actually see?   There doesn't seem to be any answer on the Adobe forum, so hopefully someone here can shed some light.  MacBook Pro with Retina display, 15", OS X Yosemite (10.10.2), Photoshop CC 2014

I tested both ways. With "open in low resolution" ckecked the size of the images is cool, but it is low-resolution including Photoshop appearance.
If "open in low resolution" is unckecked the appearance is good but the very small size.
See the image below. It has 650 x 732 px, 72 dpi. The font of the text "Neste aniversário ..." is with 18pt.

  • I'm considering going from my macbook pro to a macbook air. Good idea?

I don't use my laptop for anything more than entertainment (music, photo, web surfing). I'd also like a lighter laptop.
Will I miss my macbook pro? Am I sacrificing anything "major"?

    Hello Kbenso,
If Storage space is not a concern then Macbook Air is better then Macbook Pro 13" (Non Retina) in following terms
1>The Display Resolution for Macbook Air 13" compared with Normal Macbook Pro 13" (Non Retina) is better so you get better Image and Video Quality
2> As Macbook Air comes with a Flash Storage which is much faster then a SATA HDD which Macbook Pro comes with.
3> And as Macbook Air doesn't comes with an Optical drive and also as it comes with a Flash storage it is much lighter then Macbook Pro (Non Retina)
Note : As Macbook Air comes with Onboard Ram and Flash Storage it cannot be upgraded later if you wish to upgrade.

  • Picture Slide Show - Macbook Pro with retina display

Is the Macbook Pro with retina display capable of doing picture slide shows with music, or do I have to purchase additional software?

The only benefit that the Retina has over the standard MacBook Pro is the display.  It is slightly thinner (and lighter), but with the 13" model, the difference is fairly minimal.  If you're comfortable carrying the Retina, you'd be fine carrying the MB Pro as well.  Also, for all intents and purposes, while the display on the standard MB Pro is not a Retina display, it is still one of the best displays on the market and will easily provide a better image quality than most displays in similarly classed laptops.  Another thing to consider is that both the 13" Retina and standard MBP have only an integrated HD4000 GPU.  This is a fairly low power graphics processor built into the CPU.  It can easily run the display on the standard MB Pro, but it can sometimes struggle with the Retina as there are several times more pixels to drive.
    So...
13" MacBook Pro Retina:  Fantastic display, slightly thinner/lighter
13" MacBook Pro: Not at the same level as the Retina, but still an excellent display.  Slightly thicker, but as you said, you get an optical drive as well.  Memory and storage are easily upgradable.  As Kappy mentioned, the get a faster processor as well.

  • Bluetooth speakers won't connect with new Macbook Pro

I just sold my Macbook Pro (mid 2012 release) and purchased the brand new lighter, faster Macbook Pro Retina display that was just released a couple of weeks ago (Mid 2014).
There are a host of things this new Pro can't/won't do (which I didn't know upon purchasing it), but my question right now is: why won't my bluetooth speakers (which worked great with my other Macbook Pro) properly connect/work with my new one?  The bluetooth recognizes the speakers--it says they're there in the bluetooth set up--but they don't work, nor do they show up in my sound options (In my system preferences, only the internal speakers are listed as available output devices).  Why would they be visible but not able to be connected?
Is there a fix?  Can I get my bluetooth speakers to work?  Or are these more things (along with my Apple Remote) that I have to scrap?
    Thanks!

Me three.  Does not work at all, extremely frustrating for an educator who relies heavily on this technology

The simplest thing to try is a reset.
With Safari running, click on Safari in the menu bar and select Reset Safari ....
If that does not work, go to Safari / Preferences / Advanced.
The selections I have are shown here:
