Light markings on screen

I purchased my MacBook Pro in July of 2010 for school and have had to use it on a day to day basis since and therefore have not yet been able to contact apple to fix the problem that I am currently having. This problem is recent, occurring within the past month or two, and it has not bothered me all that much until now. Whenever I watch a movie on my computer, or look at a picture that has dark colors, in the center of the screen there is a line of spotted greyish white. If you have ever used a solar calculator and touched the top panel and the colors make a line, it looks similar and I am not sure what has caused this or what to do about it. I did not purchase Apple Care at the time I bought my laptop because, as a college student, I do not have a significant amount of money and was told that as long as I purchased it within a year of the date that I bought it, I would have no problems. I currently have the one year warranty on my computer but I don't know who to contact or how to contact them because without apple care I can't even call the apple company to discuss my issue.
I don't know what the spotted line is, or why it's there. I have a scratch and a small dent on my computer but I always carry it in a case (which also made me upset, I took it out of the case one day, and it was dented and scratched but I do not see how this occurred, I'm assuming the aluminum is just not very durable and am carrying on with my life since it is cosmetic and does not affect using the computer). Does anyone have any idea what could be causing the issue or who I should contact / what I should do to fix it and get it taken care of?

Accidental damage is not covered under Apple warranty. And it seems there is much accidental damage. Only a Genius Bar tech looking at it can tell how much it will cost to repair.
Cost to repair will be high, I suspect (though Genius Bar will confirm/deny.
There is no gentle way to say this sir/ma'am ... someone will need to pay for your friend's MBA repairs.

Can you start Firefox in [[Safe mode]] ?
You can also do a clean reinstall and download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
You can initially skip the step to create a new profile, that may not necessary for this issue.

Save light meter image screen

Hi,
I'd like to save the light meter image screen in a jpeg or tiff file.
The exemple "Light Image metter" is great but i can't save the colored
image screen of emission, when i save the output image, it's always in
black and white.
It's possible to save this colored emission image ??

I'm sorry but i don't see what you mean...
May be you can post a example, because i'm lost. When I right-click on my image indicator, i create a methode, then GetImage but the cluster is only a cluster of numeric (whitout image wire type)

My IP 4500 is printing lighter than the screen image. I've run the cleaning tool and the nozzle check is OK the colour of grass is too yellow and the picture looks washed out. I've used this printer for some years and have had no problems but now I'm stumped. Anybody help?

Are you sampling all layers in a document in which you have an adjustment layer active?

Make an appointment with the Genius Bar at your Apple Store. If they determine there is an issue with your iPad, it will be replaced.

HT3964 my computer displays only a blue light on the screen after booting (and rebooting)! How can I fix this?

For Safari you could try clearing its cache and history via Settings > Safari.
For Safari and your other apps you could close them all completely and then see if they work when you re-open them : from the home screen (i.e. not with any app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of each app to close them, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Ideal lighting for Green Screen In un-ideal small room

What is the ideal lighting to be used for a small room that really was not intended for shooting video but I need to usee it beacuse it is all we have, I do not know the exact measurements off the top of my head but its probably 4-5 feet from the subject to the green screen (I know that is bad) and another 4-5 feet from the subject to the camera.

Follow the same rules for any other key but just beware that spill is likely to be a problem.
Add lights and gels on the subject only if that light and color would be part of the scene your placing them into. Can we assume this is just for a talking head with graphic background and not a case were your trying to place this person into a real life scene? If so, think of the colors of the background you'll create and use those color to light the edge of you subject. If they're going into a real scene then look at the light in that scene and light the subject that way.
Basics:
Light the subject as you want them. Make sure you subject lights don't hit the screen.
Light the chroma screen (green) to 50 IRE. Make sure the screen lights don't hit your subject.
Keep the subject as far as you from the screen to avoid spill.
Obviously with the size constraints you have your going to have trade offs but keep in mind any light you put on the subject is light that will be there after you key them.

btw, one of the best "cheats" you can do is the make a graphic background the contains lots of green.

HP Pavilion dv2000 Lights but Black Screen

When I power up my Pavilion dv2000, I have blue lights but the screen remains black / blank. I can't hear the pc booting any further. I've tried all the Troubleshooting tips but no success. I removed/reinstalled the memory chips and hard drive, but no luck. The laptop won't boot from a Vista CD. Any suggestions / ideas would be appreciated. Walt

WITH LUCK, IT COULD BE AS SIMPLE AS RESEATING THE BATTERY. 1) I changed the battery in my daughter's dv2000 about three weeks ago. 2) At first the new battery seemed to work fine. I then took it out and reinstalled the old battery, to check it with HP Battery Check - which I discovered on this occasion; I should have done this before replacing it, but I did not. 3) When I installed the new battery again, Battery Check started to give "Replace" for battery health status.I did not pay much attention to this. The Battery Charge icon indicated the it was "Not Charging", when the cursor was placed over it. 4) Then, two or three weeks later, the screen remained blank when the notebook was started. Hooked up a monitor to the notebook and it showed it to be working well. 5) Wasted a few hours researching the issue, and was about to start dissasembling the screen but I decided before to put the old (original) battery back in. Did this and the screen came back to life at the next Start. 6) Installed the new battery again, removing and reseating it about four times in case there could be a dirty contact, and the screen kept working well. After this, the status reported by Battery Check was "Good", at first, but then it went back again to "Replace" - will have to take this up with the battery vendor. 7) It's hard for me to figure out what would a faulty contact in the battery have to do with the screen not working, but it really looks like this was so. To get to Battery Check use: Start > Help & Support > Troubleshooting Tools > Battery Check On the side, to say something good about HP, they did replace the motherboard on this dv2000 in 2009, under a "Limited Warranty Service Enhancement" - that seemed to respond to failure of motherboards in several models, due to overheating. It was repaired, and shipped back, on the same day it arrived at HP. This, after the notebook was already well past its warranty period (had bought it refurbished with a 90 day warranty). It had failed after only 18 months from purchase date. It worked fine since this repair, till the issue described here, and is 4 years old now. We did buy a laptop cooler shortly after the repair, and use it almost all the time. Hope this may help someone. Good luck.

Creative X Fi Orange Light and no screen

I've been really happy with my Creative Xfi for a few weeks. But all of a sudden I went to dock it and the light which is normally green is orange, and it won't dock or react to reseting in any way. There does appear to be a blue/grey light on the screen. What should I do please?!

I'm not sure but maybe the battery got drained? Leave it connected to your computer for a couple of hours (it is recommended to use the rear USB port) and do a reset while the device is connected afterwards. Hope this hel

Sounds like something is broken. Unfortunately, it's no longer eligible for a discounted out of warranty replacement. Find a competent repair shop or buy a new phone.

my scroller broke on my blackberry 9300 broke so my friend gave me theirs and said it was in working condition. I got the phone and started charging it as they said it was dead. When i came home i left it on charger used numerous batterys switched sim cards etc. The new blackberry does not load up, I can see a light behind the screen and the keys light up and a red light comes up but nothings working? please help as ive two phones thats broken now!!
