Dvd1270i light scribe won't print fully on disc

When I attempt to print an image on a light scribe media, it never prints the full image on the disc. I open the print area fully and check the image prior to printing, however it STILL only prints on about only 10% of the print area on the disc.

Light scribe quit printing

I have had this desk top with the light scribe burner for about 4 years and had burned light scribe disk before,
But now it will not.
Are there new drivers or something I need to download?
The only thing I have changed in the computer is the hard drive.

I just saw a great value package at OWC for an internal Samsung 20x DVD Light Scribe Drive; (comes with Light Scribe Software and blank discs).

I currently have a 12x Pioneer 111D
OWC also has a straight up Pioneer 20x DVD Writer Drive (No Light Scribe)
I know the limitations of Light Scribe for printing. But wonder, (for just straight up titles), if it might beat printing to disc with an Epson Stylus 380 printer?
And how bout the speed Light Scribe takes to print a few simple titles on a disc? Problem?
(I've heard it takes forever - compared to the Epson straight to disc?)
Any problem with Media compatibility for a Light Scribe Samsung Burner?

I use Light Scribe with my external LaCie DVD device. It's funny... nothing more... nothing less. I can't tell you how long it will take to print a simple title, because I use it for complex designs only. It takes about 30min to print... which is a very long time, guess. I don't use it on my primary computer, but on a spare one... so it dosn't bother me at all during my daily work to wait for it to finish.
My opinion - it is not a "Must Have"... but it's nice to have.

In general theory, one now has the Edit button for their posts, until someone/anyone Replies to it. I've had Edit available for weeks, as opposed to the old forum's ~ 30 mins.
That, however, is in theory. I've posted, and immediately seen something that needed editing, only to find NO Replies, yet the Edit button is no longer available, only seconds later. Still, in that same thread, I'd have the Edit button from older posts, to which there had also been no Replies even after several days/weeks. Found one that had to be over a month old, and Edit was still there.
Do not know the why/how of this behavior. At first, I thought that maybe there WAS a Reply, that "ate" my Edit button, but had not Refreshed on my screen. Refresh still showed no Replies, just no Edit either. In those cases, I just Reply and mention the [Edit].
Also, it seems that the buttons get very scrambled at times, and Refresh does not always clear that up. I end up clicking where I "think" the right button should be and hope for the best. Seems that when the buttons do bunch up they can appear at random around the page, often three atop one another, and maybe one way the heck out in left-field.
While I'm on a role, it would be nice to be able to switch between Flattened and Threaded Views on the fly. Each has a use, and having to go to Options and then come back down to the thread is a very slow process. Jive is probably incapable of this, but I can dream.

Label Flash or light scribe Drive

I have had a Satellite L750 custom for a few months. I have been recently trying to burn a label with the Label Flash feature. The Corel Label@once software that came loaded in the computer doesn't give me the option to burn the label once I have created the label. In researching the CD/DVD drive that was installed in the laptop I saw online that the light scribe burner should have an extra sensor in it to detect the lightscribe disk. I don't see that on my drive. The properties in my DVD burner have it listed as Model #: TSSTcorp CDDVDW SN-208AF My question is: Is this drive capable of burning labels on CDs & DVDs?

Light Scribe, Do we have the option?

I dug into the specs of the typical drive used in the MacPro.
It's the PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-112D
Sadly it's about the lowest level of unit selected.
The main reason I would use the featured light scribe drive
is to etch the song titles on it.
Being the last time I made a couple CD's for the truck, none of the
titles were in the data.
Just the numbered tracks.
I never made another one, if that's what their intent was.
I don't recall ever having the option to have titles or not.
I suppose I need to go to CD burning night school now.

The model you suggested is sold out.
So I decided to do an alternate model that can be used for both the MacPro, and the Powerbook laptop.
In a way, I was hoping as an external drive that I could find them as slot loading.
It would make a cool layout strip console with drives mounted side by side on underside of shelf above the 23" Cinema display that's tucked in within the cabinet.
I'm always afraid the drive tray is going to get bumped.
At least on the MacPro, it times out and closes by itself if it's dark in the room.

Ch20l burning light scribe

I have the above drive on my HP 1070 PC, but it does not recognise Light scribe in any program which I have on the PC. The Drive has the Light Scribe symbol on the front, so my question is.
Why cannot any of my software programs use this feature?
How can I get this working?
I don't have Itunes installed, as I have heard others have had this problem with others drive in this series.

In your start menu do you have a Lightscribe folder? Also in Programs and Features you should have Lightscribe System Software listed. If Lightscribe is not listed you can download the software. You can find the Lightscribe Template Labler here also. http://www.lightscribe.com/downloadsection/Windows/index.aspx?id=810
If the software is already installed check HP for updates for your computer. Go to Support & Drivers at the top of this page and select your computer model and operating system. There might be driver updates for your DVD writer available..

Burning labels onto DVDs and CDs using light scribe discs

I just recently purchased a HP DV 7 quad core 750 GB hard drive with 8 GB of RAM and a blue Ray player. I was wondering if I would be able to use light scribe discs to burn labels onto CDs and DVDs using my blue Ray player since it is also a super multi drive. Or am I mistaken because I came to understand that HP was making that pretty much standard on their laptops and other computers since they are primarily the makers of the light scribe disc. Please help me this is my first HP computer. Thank you!!

Hi,
Dv7 is a series of dozens models of laptops. What is yours but since light scrib id not very popular now therefore your machine may or may not have it. Again, you need to check the specs of your machine and the quick way to check is its model. Here is how:

When a document is a scanned PDF and converted to word some of the words and paragraphs are randomly a shade lighter when printed. You can (barely) see it on the screen but it is different. All font and design are the same. Any suggestions?

The lighter shading has been a problem when printing the documents. You can barely see it but it is there????

I saw something similar with my 4 TB Promise SmartStor NAS after I upgraded to Lion. Only, I had ALL of my iTunes library on the NAS and one day, about a week after the upgrade I finally tried to play music with iTunes, but it kept throwing up an error just like the one you're seeing. I searched around for a while and finally found some steps that fixed the problem.
I found this solution at another site (can't remember which) that gave credit to this site:

Here are the directions I cut-n-pasted into my little notes file:
1) Launch the Terminal app
2) Run this command:
sudo chmod o+w /Library/Preferences
3) Run this command:
defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.AppleShareClient afp_host_prefs_version -int 1
4) Restart your computer
5) From Finder, select an AFP server, or use “Connect To…”
This will cause the AFP Client to create the full preferences file
6) Launch the Terminal app again
7) Run this command (all on one line, make sure double-quotes are simply double-quotes from your keyboard, not pasted from the web as up and down quote marks) (yes, some of the spelling looks weird):
sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.AppleShareClient afp_disabled_uams -array "Cleartxt Passwrd" "MS2.0" "2-Way Randnum exchange"
8) Run this command:
sudo chmod o-w /Library/Preferences
9) Restart your computer
To disable this hack, run this command (all on one line, make sure double-quotes are simply double-quotes from your keyboard, not pasted from the web as up and down quote marks):
sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.AppleShareClient afp_disabled_uams -array-add "DHCAST128"

HP Laserjet 1320 attention light on, printer not working.

I checked for paper jam, reseated printer cartridge, removed and reinserted printer and line cord plugs. Turned printer on and off. Attention light remains on and printer not working.

Help with blinking ink light on printer

I have a office jet printer and my computer states my printer is out of ink. I replaced the ink cartridges and the printer continue to blink on the ink lights and when I try to send something to the printer it keeps saying the printer is out of ink. I have tried turning it off and tried taking the cartridges out. I just don't know what else to try? Any ideas

I know you said it says the ink is empty, but it still could be misinterpreting the error from the printer.

Flashing lights, no printing

I print on my Photosmart 7280 almost every day. Today I went to print a picture, and ALL the lights flashed and the screen said to turn the printer off and then on again. I pushed the power button, and it went off for a millisecond before restarting on it's own. It gave me the do not interrupt printer preparation occuring message and looked normal. So I tried to print again, with the same results. This happened whether I printed a picture or a document. So now I can't print at all and I called the help line and he told me he could sell me another one for $179. I told him I'd have to talk to my husband first, and he said I couldn't have this offer if I called back (which I think is strange)...okay, off the original subject...he said it's a hardware problem and I need a new printer. I would rather just keep this one if I can. Any suggestions?

1. Turn on the printer.
2. Unplug the power cable from the wall socket or surge protector.
3. Press the power button 3 times.
4. Plug the power cable into a wall socket and NOT into the surge protector, if it was connected there before.
5. After the printer starts up, try printing.

Light text print

I have a HP 5610 with a brand new cartridge. It prints the text off the interner very light yet the print on bottom of page showing the web information is normal. I have windows 8.1 where is the setting for the print located.
