Light showing through housing and multiple fingered tap & hold not working.

I have an iPod touch 3G/late 2009 with iPhone OS 3.1.3 (7E18)
it has recently come to my attention that there is a small amount of light coming from the right side of the iPod where the front meets the metal.
also I have found out that the bottom right corner of the iPod touch and the right side of the iPod touch will go down if I press on it.
lastly and most importantly,
when I use two fingers to press and hold on an app, it will not register the action until a few seconds later.
I first noticed this when playing tap tap revenge 3 and have tested it with other apps to make sure it is the iPod and it does the same thing throughout the apps.
I have also started to to notice that when playing apps that require taps in rapid succession, he iPod will sometimes not recognize the taps.
what should I do?
should I send my iPod touch back to apple?
it is ruining some of my gaming experiences on some apps

I would start troubleshooting this by resetting the parameter RAM and if that doesn't fix it resetting the System Management Controller.

I have tried any number of times to get this to work, but it's still not working. On my other Mac with OS 10.6.4 and FF 3.6.8/10 the "show my windows and tabs from last time" is working just fine.
I have checked some of the settings in about:config per some of the other forum posts with resolution to this issue, but this hasn't worked for me. Especially Since some settings have changed in the more recent versions of FF.
I'm pretty sure my settings are correct. Is anyone else having this same issue?
On the Mac exhibiting the issue it prompts me if I want to close all open tabs when the red X is clicked, when I quit firefox it keeps my tabs open just fine when firefox starts up the next time. This is normal behavior, but when the feature in question is active it overrides this behavior, on my other mac, and just stores my last session so that when I open firefox all is as it was before it was closed (either closing it via quit or with the red X will do the trick).
On my new mac, the prompt to close open tabs never goes away and my tabs just vanish, whichever way I close firefox.

If you use [[Clear Recent History]] in Firefox 3.5 and later to clear the 'Browsing History' when you close Firefox then restoring tabs from the last session ("Save & Quit" or "Show my windows and tabs from last time") doesn't work.

Yoga Pro 3 two fingers tap is not working

I got my new Yoga Pro 3 and it is looking and working great except from the two fingers tap which does not. This is a real bummer since I use it all the time on my mac and Asus devices. Any tips? I would really appreciate if you can fix it.

Try this, but first back up your registry, and wear a helmet:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER>Software>Synaptics>SynTP>TouchPadRMIHID2c>2FingerTapAction
and:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>Synaptics>SynTP>Win8>2FingerTapAction
Set Value data of both to 2 hexadecimal.
Restart.
Report back.

I got my phone repaired by apple a few weeks ago and got a new glass display put in and the entire screen is falling out of the housing and the home button is not working I'm more than disappointed with this service

I paid for this service to fix my glass on my phone and now the entire LCD display is not working and after my repair the home button stopped working and I went back and they told me it was like that before the repair which it wasn't and they are telling me I need to pay 300 plus for a replacement phone that's refurbished now I don't understand apples support is suppose to be the best in the business and I have been more then ripped of the service I got damaged my phone more than it was before I would like to know where I can go to talk to someone who will help me not tell me it's my fault this is outrageous!!!

Take the issue up with whomever replaced the device, whether that is Apple or another company.

IE7 and Multiple Embedded SWF Videos Not Working

We have a page that contains 2 videos that are streamed from our media hosting company. The code is fairly straightforward,

Similar code is used for the second video. The embed code is actually generated from the hosting company and has worked every time. Firefox and Chrome display both videos with no problem. However, IE7 only displays the second video. The first video just has white space where the video should be.
I have used 'embed' tag and conditional object tags (for IE), rewritten the code from scratch, changed the z-index, used Flash to generate code, cleared the cache - all to no avail. Is IE7 incapable of having multiple SWF files on the same page?
**I did notice that changing the autoplay attribute to true will allow for the video to display, however, the playback controls are not available.
Any ideas on how to get this working in IE7?

+ any YouTube video embedded within a webpage loads the poster frame and the controls, but after clicking the play button only shows the progress indicator briefly before showing "An error occurred, please try again later." within the video frame.
+ the same YouTube videos play fine on the YouTube site.
+ other Internet video plays fine, embedded or not.
+ when the error occurs Safari reports "One error in opening the page. For more information, choose Window > Activity".

I have tested the following:
+ the same computer worked fine a week or so ago
+ other computers on the same shared ADSL connection work fine
+ Firefox works fine (contrary to other's experiences)
+ deleting com.apple.Safari.plist doesn't help
+ disabling/enabling the "Enable Plug-ins" preference doesn't help
+ deleting Preferences/Macromedia folder doesn't help
+ reinstalling Flash doesn't help
+ empty cache doesn't help
Tis quite perplexing.

Since upgrade to v29, pinned tabs don't appear and sometimes all tabs don't appear and open menu button does not work

My pinned tabs don't appear at any start and at some starts, I don't see the bookmarks toolbar (I can restore that by removing it from view-toolbars and then reselecting it). when this happens, FF also does not show any tabs and the Menu button does not work.
I have tried various suggestions found on here like deleting the sessionstore.js and re-installing FF, also tried disabling hardware acceleration in safe mode and still have the same problems.
Am reluctant to reset FF in case I lose my favourites and Bookmarks, is there anything else I can try?

Firefox may not have closed properly.<br />
You can try to update to Firefox 29.0.1 to be released tomorrow (Friday) to see if that helps with this issue.

MacBook Pro touchpad works for multiple-fingered tapping options but not single-fingered tapping

My MacBook Pro touchpad only works when I use the two-fingered,three-fingered and four-fingered tapping functions but it doesn't work when I try to use the single tap function. I have done PRAM resets but it still doesn't work. Help!!!

If you use the same Apple ID for iCloud on each device, yes. However, you can use the same Apple ID for iTunes content on each device, but different Apple ID's for iCloud, iMessage, FaceTime, etc., on each device. You need to pay attention to something, while extending your network with the latest AirPort Express upgrade, your devices will be connected to it except your iPhone, you'll see your iPhone always connected to the capsule instead, even if you're at 1 foot from the AirPort Express.
You need to change the radio settings from automatic to 802.11a - 802.11b/g on your capsule, then I put it back to the default settings...
Now in the AirPort utility you should see your iPhone connected to the AirPort

Next time an app update gets stuck try a reset. Press and hold both the home and power buttons for10-15 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Then release both buttons. Wait till your iPad starts on it's own. Try now. Also YouTube is still available. If you can't find it the the app store go to the bottom of the app store page and tap purchased. All your deleted apps will be listed and you can reinstall YouTube from there.

I have no idea what may have caused your MacBook to stop working, but from your description it kind of sounds like it may have started before you ran Software Update and installed the new Apps. Just the general slow feeling and bugginess is what tips me off. You said that you weren't sure if you had closed all open windows, that doesn't matter if the computer restarts itself. It automatically closes all other open applications when restarting.
As to your data being retrievable, if when you take it in they do a fresh install of the OS, then no, it will not be unless you want to pay several thousand dollars to a software retrieval company.
I am glad to hear that you have taken into the Apple Store to get it fixed, and that you have all of your purchased music backed up to your iPod. You should be able to just transfer it all back to iTunes once you get your computer back should it be necessary.
As a side note, the proper place for this topic would probably in the MacBook forums, not iTunes since there is no evidence that iTunes started the issue.
