Light spot on iphone 6 screen

Hello Friends,
I just got my new iphone 6 from ATT. After setting it up i found there is a white light (spot) which is brighter than the rest of the display. This light is visible on all light colors and not on dark colors. Let me know if this needs to be exchanged from Apple.
Regards,
Sathish.

Left end of screen. The light is pretty bright. For me it show up all the times under white and any light color background.

  • Yellow Spots on iPhone 5 screen

    Hi everyone.
As you can see from the picture, there's a faint yellow spots on the iPhone screen. The phone was purchased in December but the spots didn't appear until yesterday. I've resetted the phone using iTunes and basically ruled out this is a software issue.
I know I need to have the phone serviced if I want it fixed. But the problem is I purchased the phone from the Apple Store in Hongkong and I''m currently in the Philippines. I don't know someone currently in Hongkong to send my phone to. I just wanna ask if someone had the same experience and what they did to fix their phone. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

you havent gotten a answer ;-; well your having a very very mini kernel panic thats all

  • Brown Spots on Iphone 4 Screen

I have recently observed some brown spots on my iphone screen. I have searched on the internet what is the cause and I found out that Iphone 4S has some what similar problem and it has something to do with some adhesive that they use. But my Iphone 4 is now older that 1 year and it is not covered under warranty. The phone was in perfect condition and no other wear/tear or any sort of damage. I was wondering whether is there anything that apple could do to rectify this problem? And how much would it cost to repair such an issue. In addition, I would be really greatful if someone could tell me whether is it a digitizer fault or the LCD display fault?
    Thanks a lot
    Best Regards
    Devinda

An out of warranty exchange is $149

  • Dim Spot on iPhone's screen

    Hello everyone,
I have an iPhone 3G 8GB which I bought 6 months ago from Cyprus. After 3 months of using it, a dark dim spot appeared in the middle of my screen. No, it's not a dead pixel, I did a deep research for it. Anyway, I sent it back to them in Cyprus so they can fix it, they kept it 2 weeks and then they gave it to me back without even opening it and see the problem. After many hours there I pushed them to send it to Apple. They sent it to Greece as they told me where there is an Apple Store. After they sent it back again, they gave me a paper which they wrote on it "The dim spot as our customer said, doesn't make any problem to the phone of using it etc." By the way, you can see the dim spot very clear on gray color and dark colors but not on black. At the end.. I'm here now without any support from Apple.
Please help me solve my problem.
    Regards,
    Jim.

What's really weird is that when I first got home with my new iPhone on 6/29, I too noticed a yellow spot on the bottom left of my screen...obviously more noticeable on a white background. I was ready to take it back...but then after using the phone for the first day...the yellow spot went away. All of a sudden the yesterday 7/29...4 weeks later, a yellow spot appeared in the same exact spot...and by the end of the day it was gone again! (insert Twilight Zone theme here) Hmmmm...wonder if this will occur again on 8/29...haha!
Wait and see if yours disappears...and if it doesn't, I'd exchange it.

  • Strange spot on iPhone 5s screen

Such spot appeared out of the blue. I tried rebooting iPhone but problem still persists. After 3h in turned off state spot seems to shrink, but i still want to know what causes it and is it dangerous to use my phone?

Looks like a pixel issue - hardware problem - probably not dangerous but I would take it to an Apple store if there is one within reach

  • Ghosting mark/Light spot on MacBook Pro Screen

    Hi everyone,
I have noticed a light mark/ghosting on my MacBook Pro (late 08) display, its right along the centre of the screen (check image attached). It doesn't bother me during normal use of the comp but when I'm editing my photographs this becomes a big problem, not to mention annoying. This is behind the glass, not infront, it cannot be cleaned off.
Anyone got any ideas on what is causing this, or what I can do to fix it? The computer is still within Applecare, would they help?
I have noticed some people suggesting its the screen pressing against the keyboard when the lid is closed.
Anyone help/advice would be great, thanks in advance!

Call AppleCare & let them deal w/it!

I recently had my iphone 4s screen repaired because the screen was cracked. It was all ok and then a few weeks later something strange happened. My touchscreen works, but the screen doesnt show, you can see the light in the background but no picture? has anyone got any ideas as to what the problem is, is it self-repairable or even repairable at al?

The LCD Display connector has partially come loose from the logic board connector, and simply needs to be pressed back down into place. Or the front screen assembly is now faulty, and needs to be replaced again.

  • Random light spot on screen

I bought my Macbook Pro in August and have found that especially when viewing a black background, etc. there appears to be a random light spot around the middle of the screen. The light spot on a black background appears to be grey.

I had the same problem with my 10 month old MBP. There was a spot that looked light on a white background, and appeared darker on a dark background. I took it to an apple store genius bar about two weeks ago only to be told by the "genius" that it was caused by a smudge of oil from my fingers on the keyboard contacting the screen while it was closed. I told him that I have a microfiber cloth I purchased in that very store on the suggestion of one of their salespersons to avoid that problem. Here is the kicker, he then told me that using the microfiber cloth to cover my keyboard while the MBP was closed would cause MORE finger oils to be deposited on the screen. This is interesting considering that the surface of the microfiber that touches the display while the machine is closed never comes into contact with my fingers. Even though I was pretty angry, I didn't fight it and just left the store amazed that this kid qualified as a "genius."
New years eve I was driving home past another apple store and had some extra time so I decided to take it in and see if this apple store had idiots at their genius bar too. I was pleasantly surprised when the genius changed the desktop to white and said "yeah I see what you are talking about, you need an new display" and subsequently started writing the work order for it. So they are presently putting a new display on my machine. Thank goodness that the idiot at the genius bar was an isolated occurrence, and thank goodness I decided to try once more before my warranty dies.

  • Macbook Screen has light spots when viewing dark background

So I just got a new macbook for my birthday about 2 weeks ago, and I've noticed that at the top of my screen there are two identical lighter areas that make the screen look like it's bent, when it is not. I can only see these two spots when I'm viewing a black or dark image in full screen mode. I'm wondering if this is fixable or if Apple can replace the screen.I have not exerted any force on it, and it was noticeable when I got it, but it has gotten slightly worse. It's not a huge issue, just irritating when viewng movies etc.

it is definitely possible to have a bum screen. i had a similar situation with my macbook, except it was a darkened area on the right side of the screen.
take it back to an apple store and they will replace your computer for free since the screen is considered an inoperable area for the apple techs there. just make sure you schedule and appointment at your local store with the Genius Bar before you go, else you may be waiting in line for a long time.

  • My iPhone 4S screen is suddenly not reacting.  The screen has turned a light blue color but nothing is happening. I have tried several things such as holding the power button, plugging it into the wall, and plugging it into my computer. What should I do?

My iPhone 4S screen is suddenly not reacting.  The screen has turned a light blue color but nothing is happening. I have tried several things such as holding the power button, plugging it into the wall, and plugging it into my computer. What should I do?

Sounds like the device was dropped at some point and damaged as a result.
Take it to Apple for evaluation and a replacement.

  • Hi, my iphone 4 home screen keeps flashing on and off repeatedly. if I'm using my phone or in an app it will just go black then light up to the home screen and it does this over and over. Then the power off option will pop up. what should i do

Hi my iphone 4 home screen keeps flashing on and off repeatdly. I will beonmy phone or in an app and it will go to a black screen and then light up to the home screen. Then the power off option will pop up. I have tried letting it die and recharging it and powering it off neither worked. Does any one have an idea on what this could be or what I can do?

If the Slide to Power Off option is coming up, that suggests your power button isn't working correctly and is sticking.
Best thing to do is bring the phone to an Apple store (make an appointment first) and have a Genius take a look at it.

I recently had my cracked iPhone 4 screen fixed, the lady who did it told me my light sensor was broken.. How can I get a new one installed?? i noticed there was something wrong when I talk on the phone it will mute, hold or speaker the calls. It's very annoying how can I fix the light sensor

Was your cracked screen fixed by an Authorized Apple Service Provider?  I may be wrong, but I didn't think they fixed such things.
Regardless of who fixed it, and whether it was an authorized repair or not, I recommend bringing it back to the agency that fixed it in the first place.  But note if the repairing agency is not authorized by Apple, you may not want to spend much more money on repairs there for this unit.
