Lightbox images change direction in mid-presentation

My lightbox images are changing direction in mid-presentation. They started sliding in horizontally from the right edge of frame. After 4 or 5 are presented, the next images slide in from the left side of frame.

Is there anything different about that slide or set of slides? Have you tried copying the slides into a new Presentation or opening the Presentation under a different user on your computer?
What are you using to advance your presentation?

  • Keynote suddenly changes direction in mid-presentation!

    Hi all,
    I'm experiencing a weird problem with Keynote 09 (to which I recently upgraded) and a quick Google search hasn't revealed anything conclusive:
    During the presentation, Keynote suddenly decides to *go back* rather than forward to the next slide. Each click then goes back one further slide.
    Is there anything I am doing wrong? I am re-using and updating presentations created in Keynote 08.
    I need to give a lecture to 400 people tomorrow. This will have to be recorded from within Keynote so that I can place it online. I therefore can't really afford fiddling with things during the lecture. Any suggestions?
    Sebastian

  • How can I add drop shadow to a vehicle that changes direction ?

    Hi,
    Flash CS5
    Is it possible to add drop shadow to plan views of vehicles (vehicles are png images as MovieClips) such that as the vehicles change direction along roads (also png images) the shadow is always cast to north west ot the vehicle ? Buildings in the base png image have shadows but vehicles also need them so as to belong to the scene and not appear false.
    How is it done ?
    Is there control over opacity and softness ?
    If I were to have plan views of humans walking would the shadows follow the leg movements ?
    Envirographics

    you can control the dropshadow's angle property dynamically.  and, yes the dropshadowfilter has an alpha and strength properties you can use.
    use the help files to see all the properties you can use.

  • Can you click on an open Lightbox image to close the Lightbox?

    Does anyone out there know about the "work-around" so that when you click an open Lightbox image, the Lightbox will close?
    I can get the Lightbox image to close when I click outside the Lightbox image, but can't figure out a way to close it when I click on the Lightbox image.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thickbox is a form of Lightbox.
    The link is to the download and description page which clearly points out that Thickbox allows viewers to close the image by clicking anywhere inside or out of the image when it's displayed. (Which I believe is what you originally asked when the thread was started)
    I wasn't trying to be smart-assed or cryptic.
    That's why I posted it in 20 point type. It was my intention that you'd see it as a link and follow it for more information.
    Since I obviously got it wrong, here's the info:
    ThickBox is a webpage UI dialog widget written in  JavaScript on top of the jQuery library. Its function is to show a single image, multiple images, inline  content, iframed content, or content served through AJAX in a hybrid modal.

    Overview-
    Features:
    ThickBox was built using the super lightweight jQuery library. Compressed, the jQuery  library is 20k, uncompressed it's 58k.
    The ThickBox JavaScript code and CSS file only add an additional  15k (only 10k by using the thickbox-compressed.js) on top of the jQuery  code. The CSS file could additionally be compressed if need be.
    ThickBox will resize images that are bigger than the browser  window.
    ThickBox offers versatility (images, iframed content, inline  content, and AJAX content).
    ThickBox will hide form elements in Windows IE 6.
    ThickBox will remain centered in the window even when the user  scrolls the page or changes the size of the browser window.  Clicking an  image, the overlay, or close link will remove ThickBox.
    Due to the ThickBox creator's view that transitions should be  tailored by individual authors, ThickBox windows do not implement fancy  transitions.  Feel free to add them as you see fit. Is this a feature?  Well, some might say it is.
    ThickBox can be invoked from a link element, input element  (typically a button), and the area element (image maps).
    Download
    code
    css
    gif
    compressed  code
    Download thickbox.js or thickbox-compressed.js,  ThickBox.css,  and the loading graphic (loadingAnimation.gif)  to your local machine (or cut and paste the code from the tabs). Along  with these three files, a copy of the jQuery JavaScript library is needed. For this site, and ThickBox, I am using the compressed version of  jQuery.

    How to Implement ThickBox:
    Before you can implement ThickBox make sure the page that invokes  ThickBox has a valid DTD. This is  required for ThickBox to look and function correctly.
    1. ThickBox requires the jQuery JavaScript library; because of  this, you will need to include the jquery.js file in the head element of  your web page, followed by the thickbox.js file (NOTE: jquery.js must  come first in the source order). Example below:
    <script type="text/javascript" src="path-to-file/jquery.js"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript" src="path-to-file/thickbox.js"></script>
    Once you have included the .js files, open thickbox.js or thickbox-compressed.js and locate the tb_pathToImage variable at the top of the page. Once you  have found it, make sure to change the value of tb_pathToImage to the  path where the loadingAnimation.gif file is located on your own server.
    2. Include the ThickBox CSS file in your web page. As of version  3.1 you will                     also need to update the path to the macFFBgHack.png in the thickbox.css                     file. Example options below:
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="path-to-file/thickbox.css" type="text/css" media="screen" />
    Or
    <style type="text/css" media="all">@import "path-to-file/thickbox.css";</style>
    Or, open the thickbox.css file                     and copy and paste the styles into an existing style sheet. Be                     aware that the ThickBox CSS file will remove the browsers default                     padding and margin for all elements.
    3. View the examples to learn the many different ways to use and  invoke ThickBox functionality.

    Change Log
    As of 08/01/2007
    Added modal functionality to ThickBox iframes
    Fixed Flash  transparency issue with Firefox on OSX
    Updated to jQuery 1.1.3.1
    Changed how inline content is handled in Thickbox. Instead of  duplicating the inline content thickbox will now move it accordingly  inside of the DOM
    Safari iframe source issue solved
    As of 05/02/2007
    If sizes are not set for width and/or height (inline, iframe, and  ajax content), ThickBox will default to a width of 630px and a height  of 440px
    iframe hack to hide &select" elements now only runs in IE 6
    Scrollbars are removed in IE 6 when a ThickBox is opened (to counter  IE 6's errant width and height calculations)

  • Can't save modified file to a folder in an image disk directly

    I have an image disk on an external drive (firewire) and if I try to save a modified file of an existing file or do a "save as" to a folder, I'm always sent to the root directly of the finder and I have to navigate myself all the way back to the destination folder, every time. MS Word is even worse. I get a message that I have the wrong path and then it sends me back to the root directory. When I get back to the destination folder, MS Word accepts it but shows the message again, anyway. This doesn't happen if I save to the image disk directly and not go into a folder.

    HI Owen,
    Perhaps your Quicken preference files are corrupted, it's not bad, and an easy fix. Locate this file or one that is similar: com.quicken.plist It should be here; MacintoshHD/Users/Library/Preferences. Open the Preferences folder, locate that file, drag it to the Trash, empty the Trash and reboot. It's ok to trash a pref file, your Mac will create a new one for you.
    Also, here's the link to the Quicken forums; http://www.quickencommunity.com/

  • Is there some way to import image files directly into an open document?

    Is there some way of importing a series of image files, say jpegs, directly into an open document, rather than having to open all the image files and having to drag and drop each individual one into the open document? Specifically, I'm a dentist and I often get digital xray images emailed to me from other offices. But they come as 16 or 18 individual image files and I have to put them into a virtual "xray mount", so I can view them all at once, rather than having to open all the images and toggle among them. So I open a blank document in PS (CS4), then I navigate to the folder containing all the image files I received, select all of them and open them all. Back in PS, I now have to select each image tab and drag the image into the blank "mount" and close the image. That new image then becomes its own layer in the "mount" document. But I have to repeat this 18 times for each patient! I was thinking if there was a way to open the new "mount" document then select all the image files and somehow "import" all the image files directly into document - essentially "automate" the process - that'd save me BOATLOADS of time and aggravation! Anyone out there have any suggestions? Thanks alot!! Dr. G.

    Thanks, Curt! When u say "animate" do u mean File | Automate...? Inside Automate, I can't find "Make Frames from Layers"...if you do mean "Animate" I can't find that menu. Zeno replied with a BRILLIANT clarification:
    <<Yes, but after you've got all your images as layers in a new document you can simply Select->All Layers and then drag them all to your document in one fell swoop.>>
    I tried that and it works like a charm! I select all 20 layers in the new document that "stacking" creates and just drag them all onto the virtual "mount" document. That's it! Then I just move each of these layers around as I would otherwise...it's just 1 click and 1 drag/drop. Unless someone comes up with a way to actually "import" all the images directly into the "mount" document, I think this appears to be the most efficient route to follow.
    I really appreciate your guys' assistance! It's so great that you guys monitor the forum and help us out with our Photoshop problems! What an awesome program it is, right?
    Thx again!

    You can increase the font size and automatically page view changes. Go to menubar; Reading -> PDF View or Epub Text Size (depending upon the ebook) and increase the size.

  • XSLT recursion changed direction from JDK1.4 to JDK1.5?

    We make use of XSLT template recursion, and when we tried to test our code with JDK 1.5, the recursion "changed direction". I believe some sort of optimization is taking place that's inappropriately switching around the order or something.

          out.append(buf, 0, count);
        r.close();

      private String transform(String stylesheet, String data) throws Exception {
        ByteArrayOutputStream resultStream = new ByteArrayOutputStream();
        StreamResult transStreamResult = new StreamResult(resultStream);
        Source xmlData = new StreamSource(new StringReader(data));
        StreamSource styleSource = new StreamSource(new StringReader(stylesheet));
        TransformerFactory tf = TransformerFactory.newInstance();
        Templates t = tf.newTemplates(styleSource);
        Transformer trans = t.newTransformer();
        trans.transform(xmlData, transStreamResult);
        return resultStream.toString();
    }If you run it with jdk1.4, the yellow stars will (correctly) print first. If you run it with JDK 1.5, the white stars will print first.
    WTF?

    More info: I downloaded xalan from xml.apache.org, and by adding xalan.jar to the classpath, I can get JDK1.5 to output the stars in the right order. So this appears to be some issue having directly to do with the XSLTC transformer.

  • Why does the color and or tone of my image change?

    Why does the color and or tone of my image change after working in LR for a couple of hours? I open LR and everything looks fine - work for a couple of hours on the same shoot - but then the pictures start to look flat or greenish cast as time goes by. All the files get flat and the greenish cast after a couple of hours - the ones already worked on and the newer ones I'm pulling up to work on. RAW files downloaded from a Canon 30D. Also exporting to PSCS2 as PROPhoto results in a flat image. I switched back to export AdobeRGB.

    Hola - thanks for the reply - yep - closing and then opening LR helps - but can't do that all the time after processing 3 or 4 files.
    One reply was a corrupt monitor color profile - So I deleted that one and loaded a new adobeRGB profile. That helped a little also for a while - I then reloaded my monitor drivers and refreshed them - that help for a day - the greenish cast is back It works fine on my laptop for now. The same pictures that look greenish in LR look great in Canon DPP. So it probably wasn't the color profile or monitor drivers. My issue started with the small scale previews so I bumped that up. Still have the issue. I finished up a project and now going to uninstall and reinstall LR. Let's see what happens with a fresh install. andy.

  • PDF image changes when opening in photoshop

    sometimes when we open PDF files in photoshop the image changes. sometimes text disappears and other times fading occurs. Here is how it can be duplicated:
    1. First try downloading the file here http://www.m3printing.com/files/wierd.pdf
    2. open the file with acrobat. take note of the red NYN in the upper left
    3. open the file with photoshop. you will notice the YN becomes faded
    any clues as to why this is happening would be greatly appreciated
    ps. we use photoshop CS2

    This doc is unnecessarily complex in its color structure.
    It uses CMYK and seven spot colors. CMYK is DeviceCMYK,
    which means, the space is not defined in the doc by an ICC
    profile.
    A part of the red text vanishes if the doc is opened in Photo-
    shop in CMYK mode. I don't know why. Perhaps a trans-
    parency flattening problem.
    Analyzed by Acrobat > Tools > Print Production > Preflight.
    My suggestion: convert each page into a well specified CMYK
    space as recommended by the printer.
    The fastest solution:
    Open in PhS in Lab mode with reasonably high resolution,
    for instance 288ppi, convert into a specified CMYK space
    and save as TIFF.
    The correct solution:
    Go back to the source program (InDesign) and replace all
    Spots by process colors. Flatten and save by new name.
    Export as PDF.
    Flattening in advance to Export guarantees the appearance.
    Export with layers contains the risk that flattening at the
    receiver turns out to be wrong.

  • Why does a moving object randomly change direction without a keyframe?

    I am creating a graphic in After Effects CC, which includes some rectangles zooming onscreen, slowly moving across the screen, and then zoom offscreen. However, after adding the keyframes to make the rectangle zoom offscreen, now, in the middle of the animation (where it is supposed to be slowly moving across the screen), it moves quicker in the opposite direction as before, then changes direction and moves in the direction I intended for it to move. There is no keyframe at the point where it changes, though it behaves just like there is. I've noticed that adding additional keyframes before/after that point causes another direction change. Does anyone know what is going on? I had this same problem in a similar situation in Premiere Pro a few weeks ago, but I never fixed it, just deleted the object and did something else.
    Cameron

    This is caused by Bezier interpretation of spatial keyframe data. There is a setting in Preferences that you can change. The ping pong motion is caused by the spatial interpretation of the velocity of the move. Your layer is moving at a certain speed between two keyframes and you decide to add another keyframe. The momentum of the layer carries it past the keyframe and then it bounces back before it continues on it's path.
    If you set your preferences to display all keyframes and you select the position property you'll see Bezier handles on the path. Open the graph editor and you can clearly see the problem if you display the reference graph.
    To fix the problem press the G key and hold down the Alt/Option key to change the pen tool to the convert vertex tool and click on the end of the problem causing handle and drag it toward teh keyframe or simply click the keyframe to remove the Bezier interpretation.
    That's all there is to it. Change the default spatial interpretation from Bezier to Linear in the preferences and this will go away for all new keyframes but you may want to introduce Bezier interpretation manually using the pen tool on some animations.

  • Why does color of image change when imported to Photoshop

    When I import or edit my Lightroom image into Photoshop the color tones of the image change to a darker tone.
    I'm using the same screen.
    What can I do to correct this?

    Thanks for both responses .
    I tried changing the export settings but still get a different color image rom the one I get in Lightroom.
    Also, the monitor was recently callbrated, so could the answer be in PHOTOSHOP's color management settings?
    When I checked PS's Color Settings window the " Working Spaces" setting was at  "sRGB"...
    and
    Color Management Policies @ "Preserve Embedded Profiles
    My first export from LR was also @ sRGB.
    Any thoughts on some common settings that might put this right?
    Thanks again.

    The tempo setting applies to the whole song, but only to the recorded midi instruments or loops. It's a bit of a kludge, but you could record different sections at different tempos, export each as an AIFF file, then glue them together in a new project.
    The same goes for the key.

  • Changing directly in a Billing doc

    Hi Friends,
    we know that billing doc can be changed in the following areas:
    Billing date
    Pricing
    Account determination
    Output determination
    But can pricing date and billing value be directly changed directly in a Billing doc? That means, not via other screens and when accounting doc is not created.
    regards
    John

    The screen 6106 in the program SAPMV60A contains the field VBRP-PRSDT (Pricing date) as output only. This means, manual entry is NOT possible. If you need this to have manual entry, then you need to change this SAP standard settings. I dont recommend changing this field properties, unless there is really a business need that can't be resolved by any other means. Note that change of properties may not be supported by SAP.
    The billing value can be changed by changing the pricing at the item level ->condition tab. If you ask changing the field value VBRK-NETWR directly, then it is NOT possible again.
    Regards,

  • Why no SCALE option for lightbox images?

    Need SCALE options for lightbox images!
    Must have SCALE DOWN option.
    Images must scale down to display correctly on a smaller screen.
    Currently Muse Lightbox FAILS on smaller browser screens.
    Adobe please include this feature ASAP!

    Thanks for the reply
    The problem with the Fullscreen Lightbox is that the images scale up and pixelate on a larger browser viewport.
    (To avoid this requires a very large image that makes loading slow)
    So for Fullscreen Lightbox I would like a SCALE DOWN ONLY option (requested previously). Then the images would not scale up above 100% and would float centred on larger browser viewports (FIT PROPORTIONALLY option used).
    And for the standard lightbox a scale option, as requested above, would mean the image doesn't overflow on a smaller browser viewport.
    The reason for asking for scale options is to keep images looking their best at 100%, and downscaling for smaller browser ports.
