Lightbox Triggers

Hi,
I've looked everywhere for this, and I figure it is something simple, but I can't find any information on it.  I am looking for some place to define which image displays first in a lightbox scroll.  If you'll take a look at the site www.upstatescuba.com, when the page first loads, it loads the "Service" image (the last of the set), and then scrolls backwards to the first image.  How do I change this order?  I would like it to display the Nitrox slide (the first in the set) and then scroll through.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Cabbage

Please refer the below screenshot:
This is the Layers panel for a page with a composition widget (Blank) with 3 triggers and 3 targets.
The order of the slides (targets) is determined by the stacking order of targets. You can try clicking on the hollow squares to the extreme right column to check which target refers to which image,
Then you can manipulate the order by manipulating the stacking order, just by selecting and dragging the required target in the appropriate position.
Hope that helps.

  • Lightbox widget youtube videos

How do I use lightbox (or another widget if there’s a better one) to show youtube videos with thumbnails and a popup video player?

Place the composition widget "Lightbox display" onto your page and place the YouTube widget into the lightbox.
To get thumbnails, use an image (perhaps a screenshot of the YouTube movie) and fill the lightbox triggers with it (Fill command in the upper command strip)

  • Thumbnail Lightbox slideshow in Accordian starts with first image, regadless of trigger

I created my lightbox on a separate page and it works just fine.  I placed that same lightbox inside an accordion panel.  Now (only on the first click) it doesn't matter which thumbnail I click on, the first image comes up.  If I close that image and click on another thumbnail, the right image comes up.  I need to get rid of that glitch.  Any suggestions?

    Islandpixie,
Thanks for posting this. I've discussed this issue with our engineering team and we are able to recreate the problem you're experiencing. The problem is related to the state of the Accordian panel that holds the Thumbnail slideshow. If the slideshow/lightbox triggers are in a panel that is open on initial view, the large images (the "heroes") will display in the right order. If the slideshow  is nested in an Accordian panel that is initially closed, the first image in the slideshow will appear first regardless of which trigger thumbnail is clicked.
The only workaround we have at this time would be to use the Lightbox Composition widget instead of the Slideshow widget. This widget does not cause the same issue with hero order, however it will be more work to setup your slideshow. It will require you to create your own thumbnails for your triggers, then associate your hero image with the trigger (whereas the Thumbnail slideshow does this automatically). Here's a brief video on working with the Lightbox composition widget: http://muse.adobe.com/video-create-a-lightbox.html
    Thanks for your patience.

  • Trouble with Lightbox Composition and triggers

I find working with the lightbox composition and triggers utterly infuriating!
I am trying to build a page with multiple lightbox compositions on it and I want each lightbox (and each slide within) to be identical - i.e. all to be the same size image frame, the same size text frame and styles etc. I have set up one with 6 slides and can copy and paste this down the page, but I am trying to add more triggers (and images) on some lightboxes and this is where I have difficulty. When I click the 'add trigger' button it adds another trigger but doesn't add the image frame or text frame. I then try to copy and paste the image and text frames onto the space but instead of this working as expected it simply adds the image on top of all the other images (and my previous and next buttons). If I try to 'send backwards' it puts the image frame behind the main container.
Is there a way to add a trigger so that it basically duplicates the previous slide into the next, where I could then simply change the image and text?
I also want all but the first of the triggers to be invisible. Is there a view mode that shows frame edges (as you can in InDesign) so I can see where the other triggers are? Currently I make all the triggers a solid colour until just before I publish the site when I make them all invisible. However once published if I need to edit the site I can't go back in a quickly select all the triggers, I have to stab around blindly until I happen to select them. It would be great if there was a way to view the frame edges - this would also make it handy when moving items so you don't overlap them inadvertantly, or would show me if I have an empty frame sitting somewhere.

As of now every new trigger you add you get a blank target frame without any of the contents from the previous slide. You may submit this as an idea to either allow to add new frames based on a defined template or allow an existing frame to be duplicated.
For now, you can copy all the objects in an existing frame and copy them. Then select the target frame and do an Edit > Paste in place. This would paste the content on top of the widget (not part of the target frame yet). Now with the content still selected click on one of the objects with mouse and nudge the selected objects a little bit (a pixel or two) - this would add them to the target slide. Then you can again select them and nudge them back in place as required.
For selecting transparent triggers, you can select the one visible trigger and then right-click/ctrl+click and choose "Select Same (Trigger)". This would select all the triggers in the widget and allow you to set fill or stroke to them all at once.

  • Is it possible to add keywords, title tags, and alt tags to lightbox images and/or triggers?

I am building a mobile site that is pretty heavily dependant on lighbox displays for the scroll capability. The issue I have run into is that I need to be able to add alt and title tags to the images in the lightbox (slideshow) to maintain the seo of my site. I have only designed a few of the pages thus far, and the issue I am running across is that once an image is considered a "trigger" by muse I can no longer add the seo elements in the same way I can when it's an image.
A few ways around this I found are:
    1) export the site to Dreamweaver and then I can go in to the code and add the seo for the images in the lighbox on the backend.
    2) I can build the site image by image and then over lay each trigger for the lighbox slideshow.
The issue with #1 is that once I export my site to dreamweaver it is then no longer editable in muse. I see this presenting a huge problem as I move forward with new iterations of my website. Any changes made in dreamweaver are not transferable to muse and thus creating two seperate sites. That means I would need to recreate any and all seo built in every time I update the site. This is not really an option and is not efficien at all. Is there a way to jump back and forth between these two products that I am unaware of? That would be most helpful.
The issue with #2: I have built each project page on the site as mostly large background images with triggers over laid. I did this to try and lower the overall gerth of the site, but it is seeming I am not going to be able to get around this and maintain the seo i am looking for.
Has any one run into this problem and solved it?
Here is the site thus far:

    Thank you for your feedback!

Placed images and slideshow images support tooltips (the "title" attribute) and alt text via the "Edit Image Properties..." content menu.
Strictly speaking, background images (fill images) in HTML do not support these tags. That said, in some contexts it may make sense for Muse to enable setting these attributes on an arbitrary object (which may, or may not, have a fill image).

  • Button triggers a lightbox

is there a possibility to create a button that when clicked activates a portfolio lightbox (the button states are not a part of the lightbox images!)

    Hi IK,
The best way to achieve this is to use the Composition Lightbox. You can add your own image to the composition trigger, which when clicked, will open a lightbox display.
    Cheers!

  • How can I change the order of thumbnails so it affects the order in the lightbox when using the composition widget - lightbox display?

Hi, I'm making my portfolio in Muse, and I'm using the composition widget - lightbox display. I imported all the images and then I wanted to reorganize the thumbnails - and when I do that, the order in the lightbox doesn't change and so it's not the same as the order of the thumbnails (after rearranging them). Please let me know if there is a way to fix this quickly, or do I have to do it all one more time

The order the items display in a composition widget is the front to back order of the items. You can rearrange the stacking order of the thumbnails/triggers using the Layers panel and/or the Object > Bring To Front, Send To Back, etc. menu items to adjust the order they're displayed during auto play or when clicking the next/previous buttons.

  • Why can't I reduce the height of my container box in the Lightbox Display composition widget?

I'm using the Lightbox Display composition widget, I would like to place my trigger at the bottom of my lightbox, I've reduced the height of my image frame but the container box cannot be reduced accordingly. I need to reduce the height of the container box or my triggers will be hidden behind the box. Please advice, thank you.

    Hi,
When you insert the light box display, by default it has 3 slides with different components like trigger, container, target, image frame, text box, next button, preview button. You have to change the dimensions for all components for these default 3 images one by one.
Or you can delete 2 of the triggers (that will resul in deleting all of their components from the widget), then you are left with only one image and its components. Later, you can add more images to lightbox display.
Resize the components as per following video:
    http://gauravr183.businesscatalyst.com/images/2013-09-26_1440.swf
The steps are, after you have added the widget on the page:
    Delete the triggers.
Then select Image frame, resize it. Move close button near it (the 'X' button), resize the text box, resize next and previous buttons and move all of these near the image frame.
Then click on the image frame, till you get "Target" area selected, resize target area and container will be resized automatically.

  • Adding multiple 100% width slideshows to the top of a page and using triggers to select.  Is it possible???

    Hi!
I am looking to create a changeable slideshow at the top of a webpage. I want to be able to select different slideshows to view at the top of the page and use triggers/buttons to select the relevant slideshow. This is for a catering site, so I would like that if the user clicks 'canapes' button the slideshow images at the top of the page will show canapes and the caption will show text about them, if they select the 'cocktails' button then a new slideshow will appear showing images of cocktails together with a relevant caption.
I thought this might be possible by placing slideshows within a lightbox or composition widget but seem to be banging my head against the wall! Can someone help?
    Is it possible?
If yes, is there a youtube video to show how its done?
    Any help much appreciated.
    Martin

Is it possible? Yes... I wouldn't do it because having all those images sitting on the one (first) page will slow the page loading times down and just piss people off but thats your main answeer.
The compositions widgets allow you to build more complex ideas and is what I'd use to make this sort of thing in Muse...
    p.s. if you just want something fast then have a look at what some people have already made to get ideas;

  • Making a lightbox photo gallery with thumbnails for 100+ photos

I have been trying to make the above (all is in an accordion). I started by merely using a thumbnail slide show, but that didn't work because I couldn't organise the thumbnails into multiple pages. So my solution was to first put a multiple page tooltip composition setup with position on lightbox, transition on horizontal and hide all intially unchecked. Then, within each tooltip slide I placed a lightbox slide show with 9 pictures. This way, there are multiple pages with 9 thumbnails on each, and clicking on one shows the enlarged picture. This presented 3 problems, which I need help to solve.
    1) Appearance in design mode doesn't reflect appearance in browser preview. In design, everything is aligned and looks good, while in preview in browser it doesn't:
    2) Upon clicking on thumbnail, the preview is behind the thumbnails:
    3) Intially (in preview in browser) one must click on a target to show the tool tip slides.
    Thanks in advance,
    Chris
P.S: Also, my slideshow on the home page doesn't show in preview in browser mode, if you help with this it would also be aprecciated.

    Hi
Please check if thumbnails are placed in target container , as if thumbnails are placed in container then image with lightbox will also show the triggers.
If still same issue, please share the site url.
    Thanks,
    Sanjit

  • Problems with lightbox

I added a lightbox to a page and it overlaps everything.  All my other pages adjust in size to the other widgets or pictures I have added, however when the lightbox is added the page stays the same and the lightbox covers up the footer.  It does this in preview and design.  I tried to publish before posting for anything to see, but the publish fuction is giving me errors and not allowing the upload of my pictures (although it worked fine last night).
    Anyway, here is a screenshot:

    Hello,
Lightbox does not have the Target container visible when the page loads.
It is only visible when you click on the Triggers.
This is the reason why the Footer is not pushed down. The footer pushes down to provide space to the content to be placed on the page.
However in this case, it is just the thumbnails which are displayed on the page hence it does not push down the footer.
    Hope it clarifies.

    Sachin

  • Lightbox in Interactive PDF.

I have just recently learned about interactive PDFs and their features. I am working on creating one and have a question.
What about lightboxes ? How can I create one in an interactive PDF ?
    My goal:
Create an interactive PDF with images or text as buttons. These buttons will be clicked by the viewer and a lightbox will open in the center of the screen to display images and/or documents.
    My reason:
I wish to provide viewers a self-contained solution that will not depend on access to the Internet or other technologies (Flash). I know this may be possible with Flash but I don't want to block those who may be accessing my information using an iPad or other technology that doesn't support it.
    Can this be done ?
    Thank you in advance,
    Joe.

    Hi, George.
Thank you for your help and reply.
It seems that the Lightbox effect may be complicated to achieve with Acrobat in a relatively simple way. Is it possible to accomplish a similar effect using InDesign CS5 and Acrobat Pro 9 ? I would like to click on certain elements of my PDF document (images or text) and have a window of a pre-specified size (approximately 800 wide x 600 high) open in the center of the screen.
Can I do this in InDesign ?
One other things I noticed is the ability to embed html code in Acrobat. Can this be used to accomplish this effect ? Can a window be opened in the center of the screen triggered by a button in a PDF file so that this window functions as a browser and displays another document downloaded from web address (file located on a server) ?
    Thank you again,
    Joe.

  • A way to amend the lightbox style - all lightboxes automatically update?

hi guys, im setting up a video portfolio site and i was initially going to have multiple thumbnails on each page each triggering a lightbox containing one video.
at a later stage i might want to change the size of the black box surrounding the video ( i think its called the container), or add a graphic / change color etc..
my question is, is there a way to set this up as a template so that when i update one, they all update?
this worries me as i have around 40 thumbnails, each linking to a lightbox.
    thanks

    Hi,
If you edit the size of one container of the lightbox composition widget, Muse will automatically update the the containers of all the other lightbox videos that you have used, provided that you have used a single lightbox widget with multiple triggers and targets.
However , I must tell you that muse will only update the size of the container and not the positioning of the videos, so if you want to adjust the positions of the videos also, then you will have to do it individually.
    Hope this helps

  • Am I able to link a photo in a lightbox, to another different lightbox?

I am working on a furniture website for my work. I have various main pages- Chairs, Barstools, etc....
I am working in the chair page (which has all the chairs under a tabbed accordion panel according to the series name) When clicking on a certain chair, a popup "lightbox" window comes up with the chair descriptions, etc. Inside the lightbox I also have photos of similar products.
When I click on the similar product image, I want it to go straight to the other lightbox pop up for that particular item.
    Does that make sense?
    Thanks,
    Aaron D.

You can place a lightbox inside the target of a lightbox.
So in your case, the photos of similar products could itself be the triggers of a lightbox composition inside the target of the root composition.
Like: Composition -> Target -> Composition -> Triggers (similar products).
Hope that gives the basic idea.

  • Nesting a lightbox in a slideshow

Can I nest a fullscreen image (or lightbox) to be triggered by the individual images in a permanently visible composition widget slideshow?
I've tried, and Adobe documentation infers that its possible, but I've had no luck with this so far.
    cheers, Nick

There is a couple ways but if I understand the way you want to do it the best option is to use the light box composistion (not the slideshow). Put what ever you want in the thumbnail and add your slideshow to the lightbox.
Using the tooltip Widget is another option.
