LighterRoom to Photoshop for Action set, need to export?

Hello,
I edit my photos in Lightroom 2.0 and use Photoshop CS3 to run a self made action set to batch resize, set color profile, and add trasparent watermark.
Do I need to export all my photos from Lightroom then run Photoshop to batch process all the exported images. I don't like exporting my photos twice, this is why I ask...

That sounds like exactly what I need, I've tried it but the droplet itself crashes every time. Both when an image is dragged/dropped onto the icon in explorer and when used as a post processing option in LightRoom. The image does not even open, Windows just brings up a 'Photoshop droplet has stopped working' message.
How odd...

Best practice for action that needs to execute after a successfull login

hi all;
i am looking for a good approach for dealing with the following scenario:
i have a jsf command link with an action - everyone have access to this page.
when the user clicks the command, the next page is a realm protected resource, so the login page kicks in and only if there is a succesfull login, i want some logic to be executed.
my problem is that i cant find a good place to put that logic. i can alway point to a bean from the protected page and put the logic in the bean's constructor but this feels kind of wierd.
any suggestions?

Setting timeout settings for Action Scripts

We are using OIM 11gR1 along with the AD and Domino connectors. We are also using Action Scripts to perform some post create actions on the AD and Domino resources that get created by OIM. The action scripts are being invoked with the correct set of parameters and they do their job. However for both connectors, the connector server (Java connector server for Domino, .NET connector server for AD) times out when waiting for the script to complete. Our scripts are expected to take a long time (30+ seconds).
Based on our testing, the AD connector times out in 30 seconds, and the Domino connector times out in 20 seconds. You would get the below exception in your Java Connector Server log file:

Is there any way to configure OIM so that it waits longer for the action script to complete. The real problem over here is that if 2 users are being provisioned to AD and/or Domino simultaneously (we use access policies to trigger provisioning rules), then the connector (Java or .NET) does NOT invoke the action script for the second user if the action script for the first user times out. It does however create AD/Domino resources for all applicable users. This in itself is a defect - but I need a workaround.
Looking at some old Sun Identity Manager documentation (which became Oracle Waveset), it seems that the entire OIM concept of action scripts has its origins in Sun Identity Manager/Oracle Waveset. And these products did support the notion of timeouts. Have a look at :

Shortcut for action reset on every start of Photoshop CC

Hey there,
I have a problem I didn't have with Photoshop CS6 that now occured on CC since I just subscribed.
I had set a shortcut for a custom action in Photoshop CS6 which was F2. Since I wanted to use F2 for another function (i.e. renaming layers) in Photoshop, I had changed the action shortcut to F4 successfully when working with CS6. However, on Photoshop CC, each time I start the program the shortcut is reset to F2. I already tried saving my shortcuts, but I assume that doesn't include the ones for actions? I can 'solve' it by manually copying stuff from the CS6 presets folder - which is far from ideal since I then cannot change it to something else in future either (will stick to F4 then).
Anybody an idea what might cause this, or better: How to solve it?
I am using the Windows version of PS CC, being on Windows 8.1.

Ugh, I didn't intend this to turn into a Mac vs. PC contest. My only implication is this: Mac users might be forgiven for expecting that their preferences are saved right now, vs. PC users who expect settings to be saved after a successful run and exit of something - because that's how most things work on each of those two systems. Photoshop's philosophy is more PC-like in this case, even when run on a Mac.
But that's neither here nor there for helping solve Eno's problem.
Eno, if you add a new action set, does it still appear in the Actions panel after having closed and restarted Photoshop? I'm still trying to gauge whether you're having a general failure to save preferences, or just some odd failure having to do with key assignments.
The file your actions panel data is saved in on a Windows 8 system is here:
C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC\Adobe Photoshop CC Settings\Actions Palette.psp
Do you see its Modification Date getting updated upon exiting Photoshop?
I'm wondering if somehow you have a permissions problem with that particular file.

Can't load PS CS3 Mac action set on PC running PS CS3 for Windows

Are action script sets compatible across platforms? Shouldn't I be able to load a CS3 action set created on a Mac on a Windows machine running CS3? When I try, I get this message:
"Could not load the actions because the file is not compatible with this version of Photoshop"
What's the deal?

I've never seen this error and I've been working on both platforms for years.
The only time I would expect to see this kind of error message is if you recorded an action in one version of PS and tried to load it in an earlier version.
The only serious compatibility problem I've run into is with paths (Mac vs XP) or when trying to read actions from PS6.

You appear to have two issues: 1) a hard drive that is not working properly and 2) files you wish to recover.
Re 1) you need to answer Kappy's questions.
Re 2) does the drive load and can you see your photo files? If so can you copy them to another drive?
Do you not have a backup of the photo files?

No actions for document sets in SharePoint Designer

Hi,
I am an SharePoint Online user and I want to create a workflow that copies/moves a document set from one library to an other library/repository.
The problem is, that I don't have any actions concerning document sets in my SharePoint Designer. There should be an action "send document set to repository".
I have already activated the content organizer feature. Did I miss to activate a feature? Are actions for document sets included in SharePoint Online?

Do the normal move item actions not work?
The content organiser feature is slightly different. That allows you to use the Information Management policies which might be more appropriate as they let you move documents based on things like the time since last updated + 5 months.

MikeSewell56 it is not required that you install Bridge CC. If you wish to use features such as the mini Bridge however it will be necessary to install.

Photoshop elements #6 setting for 'Perceptual'

I use the OKI 3200 for sublimation and need to set the printer for 'perceptual'. It is under the drop box called 'INTENT' which I also can't seem to locate. Any help would be appreciated.

Which operating system, and organizer or editor? In the windows version of PSE 6, you'll find the rendering intent in the Editor print window just below the setting for Printer Profile.
