Lighting Effect in PS CC is not working.
Hi, I have a problem in photoshop CC, there is no lighting effect ( Filter>Render>lighting Effect). I have installed it manualy in Plugin folder. now it is present in Filter but Disabled. while on same laptop in Photoshop CS4 it was working properly. I am using RGB image with 8Bit mode.please some one guide me how it can work for me ? Thanks
I have the exact the same problem, and I can't solve it!!! I know that it only works on 8 bit RGB images so I captured screen shots for proof that I tried for them, I tried to install the latest drivers fot my video card but it not helped!!! so somebody can help me to solve it please?

Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I understand that you are having trouble with wifi connectivity. What light is flashing on that supply? I assume it is the power supply.
Have you tried your notebook with a different wireless network?
Do other devices connect to your router without any trouble?
I would start with this to make sure the wireless is working properly on the notebook, or appears correctly in device manager.
Resolving Universal WLAN, Wireless, and Wi-Fi Errors
And only after verfying that all is good, would you want to look at the following steps, if you are still having troubles.
Troubleshooting wireless network and Internet (Windows 8)
Also, you can look at the power management for your wireless adapter:
Disable the Power Off option for the adapter:
1. Open Device Manager. (Win Key+R > type devmgmt.msc > OK)
2. Expand the Network adapters.
3. Right click on the Ethernet/Wireless Adapter and click Properties.
4. Click the Power Management tab.
5. Remove the check mark beside Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
6. Click OK.
7. Test.
Forget the network: (Windows 8)
1. Press Windows Key + C
2. Click Settings.
3. Click Change PC settings.
4. Click Network on the left.
5. Click Manage known networks.
6. Click the network name.
7. Click Forget.
Reset the TCP/IP settings on your PC:
1. Go to your start screen/menu and type CMD.
2. Right click on the command prompt icon and chose Run as administrator.
3. In the window that opens type "netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt" without quotes, and press enter.
4. Restart your PC and test.
It may also help to reset the winsock catalogue:
1. Go to your start screen/menu and type CMD.
2. Right click on the command prompt icon and chose Run as administrator.
3. In the window that opens type "netsh winsock reset" without quotes, and press enter.
4. Restart your PC and test.
Reinstall the network adapter drivers:
1. Download the drivers from here but do not run them yet.
2. Go to your start screen/menu and type Device Manager.
3. Expand Network adapters.
4. Right click on the wireless adapter and choose Uninstall.
5. Run the downloaded drivers from step 1.
6. Restart your PC and test.
Test an ethernet connection:
Self explanatory. Test if the issue persists on a wired connection to rule out the wireless adapter hardware so troubleshooting can be directed towards the right areas.
Test another connection:
Many people rule out their home network as an issue if another device is working on the same network. Networking is not that simple. Each device interacts differently with your router or modem and it is impossible to rule out settings in that device until the notebook has been tested on another network.

Go to the Help menu in Photoshop and select the System Info menu item. Copy all that information and paste all of it here MINUS your serial number.
Yes, Photoshop can delegate a lot of the computing tasks to the GPU on your graphics card. You may have to disable that feature in Photoshop Preferences > Performance. -
Lighting Effects filter in CC does not stay on layer properly
Hey this is my first post on the forums and I have been having problems with the lighting effects filter in my cc version.
It is hard to describe but in the lighting effects editor where I can position my lights and stuff I have 2 spotlights shining on a object.
When I am in the lighting effects editor it looks how I want it to look. While when I click ok to apply it to the layer, photoshop actually stops responding (at one point crashed) and removes the desired effect.
I am not sure what it is doing but it is very annoying and I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem happen.

Dynamic Linking between Premiere pro cs6 CC and After Effects is shaded grey and not working.
Hi, I currently have a CC membership with everything included in the package. I have already downloaded Premiere Pro CS6 and After Effects. However, I cannot figure out why , when I right click a video clip in Premiere, the dropdown menu has the 'replace with after effects' option within the list greyed out, apparently not an option for me. I've browsed several tutorials and all of them illustrate using dynamic linking with ease as a readily available option. Can anyone help with this please?

Based on another comment sent to me, here is what did.
In PProCC
File > Adobe Dynamic Link > New After Effects Composition
In AECC
From that composition created from PPro, I imported the project (aep) initially created in AECC from another team member. Saved the file.
Back in PProCC
File > Adobe Dynamic Link > Import After Effects Composition

After Effects Import Vector Continuously Rasterize not working
Hello.
I'm trying to import a vector into After Effects and it's not working the way I need. Yes I have Continuously Rasterize turned on. No the original Illustrator file does not have any effects on it. I've tried png, eps, psd, and ai files. Same issue.

2. This is what it looks like in AE with Continuously Rasterize turned on, zoomed in at 400%. It's crappy.
3. And this is what it looks like in AE zoomed in at 100%, but I've scaled the image up to about 200%.
But I can't use the huge scale vector for my project because it is too big for my comp. Can somebody help? My brain hurts.
I do realize that it looks crappy within the AE viewer, but even after I export it in HD, it still looks crappy.
Basically, I just want a nice clean final picture to look good in my comp.
Hey thanks for anybody who can help. Huge karma waves coming your way.When posting questions like this just a screenshot of the result is almost useless in diagnosing the problem. A better screenshot would include the Comp Window and timeline with the layer in question selected and all the changed properties revealed by pressing the U key twice. Also, since this was an imported file that is in question, if the footage item is selected in the Project panel then we can get an idea of the format, size, and other properties of the original file that may be causing problems.
You should not have to buy anything to get properly created vector files ti work perfectly in your composition. When you said zoomed in at 400%, if you meant scale factor and not scale of the layer then the behavior is normal, expected, and exactly what should be happening. Zoom Factor set to 400% means the comp window is using 16 screen pixels for every comp pixel. Zoom Factor set to 1600% means a single image pixel is displayed as a 16 X 16 block of screen pixels - so things are going to look pixelated when they are not. The only way to judge quality is to look at the composition window with the Zoom factor set to 100%. This is exactly the way Photoshop works.
Here's what I mean. A single Illustrator layer selected, scaled to 5174% and perfectly rasterized in a comp with the Zoom Factor at 100% scale. Note the layer size in the project panel. Everything we need to know to diagnose a problem. -
Preview with light or shade editing function is not working (black or white picture)

I have a problem with the preview function in iphoto (version 9.4.2 on a white macbook, mid 2007, os x lion, latest version, 4 GB RAM, 500 GB HDD).
Whenever I use the light or shade editing function, the picture in the preview is getting completely black or white. If I close the editing screen, the normal preview is working with the edited picture.
I repaired the iphoto library, I tried to reinstall iphoto, I did a SMC reset but nothing worked. Yesterday, reinstalled my complete system and reinstalled iphoto but even this did not work.
Has anybody an idea how to deal with this problem? Is there a kind of BIOS funktion to activate or to deactivate like graphics boost or something like that? It would be great if anyone has an idea because editing photos efficiently is hard with my problem.
Thank you very much!On the contrary, or at least I think so. If I remember it correctly, you can simply go to the top menu bar and click 'Photo', 'Edit in', 'Edit in Adobe Photoshop' and it will put your panorama in Photoshop so you can simply continue working on it. Hope it does the trick!

After effects cs5 and photoshop cs5 not working
Hello!
I have a problem with AE cs5 and photoshop cs5 i download the trial version of the master collection and i install some of the program all work fine but AE and photoshop, the problem is when i try to open AE it load perfect but when the interface is out it give me this error
and i have nothing more open or anything just the AE so that with AE>
And photoshop the problem is that when i try to open the photoshop 64 bit it starts to load the program but it crashes, it give no error or anything but the 32 bit version works fine, please help.

juan acostaUpdate/ adjust your graphics card driver. Both crashes seem pretty clearly related to issues with graphics acceleration not working as required by both programs.

And now the chat is down so I thought i would post my query here. basically I plugged in the modem and the DSL light just flashes green. I went to the router main page (192.168.1.1) to change the password and hit connect as told to me by the verizon guy in the chat. The main page says this:
Please Connect a DSL Line.
What can I do?If you just purchased your service, they might've not connected you at all like they did to me. DSL from them is not what it used to be.

I cannot even scale a basic logo forms without the shape widths changing all different. Yes, I restarted the program and restarted my computer.

Lighting effects not showing up
I am working in Photoshop CS5 and I cannot find where lighting effects is. It is not under Filter>Render like it is supposed to be.
Are you using a mac operating system?
If so, you need to run photoshop cs5 as an 32 bit application in order to use Filter>Render>Lighting Effects
