Lightroom 1.1 crashes when selecting all photos in folder - CTRL + A

Everytime I try to select all thumbnails in Library mode, using CTRL + A, lightroom crashes and the send msg to Microsoft comes up.

I don't have a count of actual imported images.
I do know I have about 27,000 images on the drive, but they were all in PSE 3, 4, and 5, and have not all been imported into LR, until I need to view or work with them.
The machine has 1GB of ram and my files are stored on a 300 GB partition of a 500 GB drive. My C: drive (for temp Win files has about 7 GB free. I am using XP Pro.
The problem has been very consistent in 1.1 and never occurred in 1.0, that if I select a group of images in thumbs or filmstrip, it crashes LR.
I will have to add up the folder counts. I can also get you the size of the database. I'm at work now so I will have to reply later in the week. I'm going to a new england photo conference/seminar in Mass. This Fri for 3 days (NECCC, http://www.neccc.org/) so I have to get all my work done.

Lightroom 5.5 Crashes when selecting multiple photos in Library mode

Had this issue when I originally upgraded to Lightroom 5 last year.
Working through a large batch of photos, renaming and weeding, Lightroom is crashing every 10 minutes or so.
Is there a patch to fix this like there was with the original problem last year?
Running Windows 7 64 Bit.

When monitoring GDI Objects in Task Manager I can see the value climbing by approx 70 with every photo selected.
The GDI Objects value keeps climbing until it reaches 10,000 then crash.
Selections do not need to be made all at once to reach this figure, it's cumulative,

IDVD crashes when selecting "all themes"

I just got ilife and this is very strange:
When I select "all themes" (default is 6.0) iDVD just closes (in both normal and widescreen)
However if I select any X.0 theme individually it is ok, so I can select 5.0 themes, 4.0, etc... but when I select all themes it crashes...
Any ideas?

Do you have and third-party themes? You might try removing them and/or see if the maker has updates if needed for iDVD6.
I'd also delete the iDVD preference file (com.apple.iDVD.plist) and clear caches.
Finally the makers of DVDThemePAK have found that duplicate fonts can cause issues . So you might want to read this thread too:

How select all photos in folder including stacks?

How can I select all of the photos in a folder or colliction including all of the photos in stacks? The only way I have found so far is to expand the stacks but that takes a lot of time. Thanks.

You are correct, the stacks have to be expanded. However, if you right-click on one of those little stack numbers you'll see that one of the options is to expand all stacks. Not really time-consuming at all.

Lightroom 5.5 Crashing When I Reject Photos

I don't think this happened before V5.5, but in the Library or Develop module, if I click the X key repeatedly rejecting a series of photos, Lightroom will crash. It comes up with "Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 64-bit has stopped working, windows is checking for a solution to this problem". Then it says, "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." Then it only gives me the option closes out. When I restart, "The catalog named... was left in an inconsistent state. Lightroom must restore the catalog before proceeding" flashes briefly on the screen.
When it comes back up, some of the photos I marked as rejected have reverted to a non-rejected state, and then the program seems to work normally until...it crashes again.
Interesting, I tried rating photos by pressing the "1" key as fast as I could push it, and I could not crash it, so it seems related to the rejection process.
I'm stuck, any ideas?

Lightroom 5.3 crashes when using Email Photo. This problem was documented in May 2013

When will Adobe fix this problem? I saw the first complaint on-line in May of 2013. When will Adobe publish a work-around? What's causing this problem?

My Lightroom CC always crash when it is trying to upload the preview of big images like photo merge images from 3 or 4 RAW images together. Thank You. Marco

When Lightroom first displays the image, it shows the JPG preview which includes your camera custom white balance settings. (This is probably also what you see in Finder)Then a few seconds later it renders the RAW image, with none of the JPG editing and with none of your camera settings applied. That is what you see in Lightroom.
There is no way to turn this off.
You then need to apply your own Lightroom edits to this RAW image to make it look pleasing.

InDesign CC crashes when selecting text

Hello folks!
I have a serious issue here on my Windows 7 64bit notebook:
InDesign CC (and also CS6 before) keep crashing when selecting text.
I was still on CS6 when this failure appeared first. The strange thing is, it happens not always. When InDesign is opened new it will not crash instantly (most times). After some selecting random text a few times InDesign will crash with the well known "InDesign doesn't work anymore" message. There seems no pattern while selecting text (like special characters, certain fonts, whatever).
Tried to use CC – no luck! still crashing.
After some research in the forum I read, that this is very rare issue only occuring if there are more than 1 Windows accounts with both InDesign running. Indeed I made new account shortly before the first time this happened.
But sadly even after I completely wiped the second account, all my InDesigns (CS5, CS6, CC), all prefs, and also all fonts (as recommend in a thread with people havong trouble with just the type-tool itself) and all registry thingies the problem remains. Why?
Please help, it really kills the productivity.

Well, wonky extension seems like a good idea, but can be withdrawed because I haven't installed one.
The font issue is also equally probable. As already mentioned: The interesting aspect here is, that both InDesign CS6 and CC will crash. It happened the first time when Windows decided to blue screen and f*** up my account (I wasn't able to log in anymore, I had to made a new one). I once read in another thread that there is a problem occuring when having multiple Windows accounts with InDesign running. Re-installing InDesign didn't help. Font problem after all?

JVM crashes when selecting a CLOB in a OracleCallableStatement

We have a lot of places in our codebase where we "batch" a no. of
selects using the OracleCallableStatement for better performance (i.e.
save multiple roundtrips to the db). Recently we upgraded to Oracle
8.1.7 and converted the LONG column in one of our tables to CLOB. Once
we did that, every place in the system where we use a "batch" select
(using refcursor) the JVM crashes (no stack trace, just the infamous Dr.
Watson on NT and SIGBUS SEGV on Solaris)
We are running wl510 sp10 , driver is weblogic oci (oci817_8).

If I create the dialog printJobAttribute.setDialog(JobAttributes.DialogType.NATIVE); then VM crashes when selecting a non-default printer but I am able to get the number of copies. The key is I need to use NATIVE dialog and get the number of copies. One option is to display in COMMON dialog mode and then hide the "Page Setup" and "Appearance" tabs. Can this be done ? I am new to Java and Crystal so any suggestions would help.

When I search these forums for "CFCopyFormattingDescription", I find a bunch of crash reports posted that look almost exactly the same as mine. It appears there's a bug in iPhoto, perhaps when reading metadata from the JPG file (readRawTiffPropsFromPath).
Interestingly, the Preview app can open and display the file just fine. I even opened the inspector and it showed all of the TIFF and exif metadata just fine, no crash. The file also opens just fine on Windows.
Now how do we get the attention of the iPhoto development team so I can send them the photos, have them reproduce the crash, and fix it?

Photoshop CS6 crashes when selecting tools

Hi, I'm having the same problem as a few other members (Photoshop CS6 occasionally crashes when selecting tools) and have updated the driver on my HD5770 card to the latest version (8.961.0.0) as this is the recommended fix. Unfortunately this hasn't fixed the problem.
Here is the error report from the most recent crash.
This is very irritating as I inevitably lose some of my work when the application crashes.
What else do you suggest as a fix?

I installed 12.3 and restarted my computer. This did not solve the problem.
I've reinstalled Photoshop twice as well with no developments.
Then, I found this thread: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4289204
My card (Radeon X 1300 / X 1550) is not listed in the "Tested video cards for Photoshop CS6" section.
If I go to Edit->Preferences->Performance, and mouse-over the "Graphics Processor Settings" section, it says "Photoshop detected an error in your display driver. Update or reinstall the driver and check Use Graphics Processor to retry".
Is there any way around this?

I created folders in iphoto on my imac, synch using itunes and selected all photos from iphoto but those albums don't show up...most my albums do but a few don't!??

I have a new iMac and I'm a new mac user....I have an iphone5..and ipad2.
I have created folders on the imac in iphoto.
I am synching the ipad and iphone with mac using itunes...selecting all photos, 3,500+ and although all the pictures may be sharing on all devices, the folders aren't.
I have created several folders and copied pictures into those folders and they look fine while in iphoto....but I can't get the to synch into ipad and iphone using itunes.

Folders in iPhoto do not contain photos. Albums and Events do. Folders can contain albums, but not photos on their own.
So, do you mean Albums?

JVM crashes when selecting non-default printer in ReportViewer in NATIVE dialog.

On ReportViewer frame i have the print button active. If i click the print button (Native dialog) and select a printer other than default printer, the JVM crashes. Any idea how to fix it?

Elements 13 crashes when selecting Print

Elements13 crashes when selecting Print from the File menu.
Rebuilding the Preferences file will bring the Print menus back, but only temporarily.
No error message, Windows advises the program must be shut down.
Win 7, 16GB RAM, Elements 6 on the same computer works fine.

Meanwhile go to Edit menu > Preferences >> Adobe partner services .
Click "Refresh Button"
Click "Reset Account"
and "Clear On-line Serves data" also.
