Lightroom 1.4.1 Web Galleries into iWeb08

I currently have Lightroom 1.4.1. I have tried all in these discussions to try and load a LR web gallery into iWeb08. This is the gallery I am using.
http://theturninggate.net/lightroom/ttg-shadowbox-gallery
I exported the gallery to iDisk/Web/Sites/kirkhoward. Once it finished I looked at where it place the folder (gallery). It shows up in the right spot, but I cannot view it in iWeb. Am I not supposed to see this within the program? Am I only going to see it if I load it in the URL manually?

If so How do I get it into the menu page i.e. Welcome Photos Bolg. I would like visitors to navigate to the gallery from the index.html or Welcome page
Any help would be great.

  • Can Lightroom 4 upload multiple web galleries at a time?

    My client wants to group multiple web galleries in a single collection then upload them to his website enmass.  I maintain they must be uploaded one at a time.  Which is correct?

    Bob,
    Lightroom being a 64 bit application can run multiple threads for one task of uploading web galleries in a single collection.
    However it cannot handle multiple uploads together.

  • Can I organise Web Galleries into folders?

    I keep my photos organised in folders. Can I do the same with the web galleries?
    I have a long list of Web Galleries in the sidebar of iPhoto and it's tedios scrolling down a long way to find the one I want to edit. I tried creating a folder but it only appears in the photos section.

    No, only the albums you used to create the web galleries (that is if you first put the photos in albums before creating the gallery).
    TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
    I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Exporting web galleries

    As a brand new very amateur web builder, I am trialling LR2 to create galleries for my CSS website. I have no trouble importing the LR2 web galleries into the site I am building with Expression Web2, but I do not know how to put a link into the LR2 Flash Gallery to connect with my main EW2 Gallery menu page (I have no knowledge of Java script at this stage). I have no trouble modifying your HTML galleries, but I really like one of the flash galleries. Can it be done within LR2 or do I need to learn Java and do it in EW2. If so, you don't happen to know how to do it do you?

    Hi Pete, thanks for the advice. Sorry about the delay in responding, but we have bushfire problems here in my part of Australia, and it sort of takes your mind off websites. I am going to run with the  Lightroom html web gallery for the moment, because I am confident that I can handle the code adjustments I want to make, after I have inmported it into Expression Web 2.  As I learn more I will hopefully graduate to the Flash galleries.

  • Web galleries of 600-1000 images

    I am finding the web gallery solutions offered in Aperture quite limiting. The whole reason I would use the gallery would be to to force the client to do an edit. in version 2 things seemed to work better.
    - In version 3 mobileme galleries are now limited to 500 images. I have on occasion split up shoots into tow of these galleries, not quite the professional solution I was hoping for. Version 2 mobile me galleries were not limited to 500 images. When I moved to ver3 and it tried to sync to the existing galleries of over 500 images, it play havoc with everything.
    -webpages produced and then published on mobile me, take.... a ... long... time. I currently have had one gallery of 1832 images running for about a day now. Again not very practical for professional application. Needless to say the process hijacks Aperture,so not much else gets done, if it crashes which it sometimes does, we have to start the process all over again.
    -the only other option includes outputting low rez and then using something else for the web gallery. But I like the one button solution Aperture offers, making Mobileme justifiably earn it's keep. I don't have the web gallery options in photoshop anymore since they were moved to Lightroom, if I have to lightroom anyway to make web galleries, I might as well stay there.
    I hope the Aperture team can take a look at this one area. Otherwise, i am extremely happy with the performance of Aperture 3

    Another plug for Photoshelter from me!
    We are running 4 separate accounts, yes 4! Our clients loved the experience and workflow so much that 2 of them now have their own dedicated site that we manage for them, all of their imagery is located in the one place, makes life very easy for them. We have one account that is our studios, ie for everyone one else and my own basic account, mainly for sharing pics from my children's sporting teams.

    As for a gallery/lightbox with that many images, no way! I would suggest breaking the shoot up in to time of the day, location, subject, product type, portrait vs group, anything to make it more manageable for the client. Some of your keywording and descriptors would help with this process.

  • Aperture 3 and iPhoto web galleries...

    Hi Folks,
    I have used iPhoto and want to shift to Aperture 3. I have the 30day trial installed and have imported my iPhoto library successfully. iPhoto events, photos and albums are shown in Aperture Projects but I cannot see MobileMe or Facebook albums that were uploaded and displayed in iPhoto.
    How am I able to import these web galleries into Aperture 3?
    Martin Fuggle

    I figured out the mobile me galleries but not FaceBook.
    First you need to create at least one new MobileMe gallery from within Aperture.
    Go to the MobileMe galleries in Safari. Click on the "adjust settings" tab and it will ask which app you want to sync with. Obviously, select aperture and hit publish. You need to do this for ALL the albums individually.
    Done right? I thought so.
    I opened Aperture and the albums were still not in there. Go to Aperture preferences and to "Web" there you click on something to the effect of check for new published items. Click to check now.
    Voila.
    If you figure out the facebook albums let me know. I am guessing those are not possible to do.

  • Web Galleries Bug

    After playing around with the new slimbox template suddenly after restarting lighroom, all templates in the web galleries folder don't show up in the gallery list.
    The folder is still there and all templates are in this folder.
    My System XP SP2
    What I've done so far:
    - restart LR many times
    - restart windows
    -deleted the web galleries folder and created a new one with the templates in it
    - made a repair install of lightroom
    -copied a saved preferences file from a few hours ago to the preferences location
    But nothing helps. In the list there are only the default LR HTML Gallery and LR Flash Gallery.
    I don't know what to do else...
    Unfortunately the slimbox gallery is the first lightroom gallery I like and now I can't use it.
    This is the first serious bug on my pc with lightroom.
    I hope here is someone who can help me to fix it.
    Juergen

    Ok, I found the mistake.
    Before this happened I changed the image size in the script with Microsoft XML-Notepad. This broke something else in the gallerymaker.xml because the file size was 3 KB smaller than before. I found it today after hard thinking, where the bug can be.
    For me it looks like, that lightroom ignores the complete web galleries folder, if there is only ONE script with a mistake in it. I had another template in it's own subfolder and it too wasn't visible after that.
    DON'T USE Microsoft XLM-Notepad! I couldn't find out, what exactly it changed but it caused this strange bug.

  • Windows 7 64 bit Dreamweaver CC 2014 & Lightroom 5: Trying to insert a lightroom web gallery into a template in Dreamweaver

    I am using a template for my website in Dreamweaver CC 2014. I installed a lightroom 5 web gallery into the template. I have an editable region where my main content goes that is where I inserted the web gallery. The main content css height is set at Auto. The web gallery shows up but only the very top half of the gallery. The whole web gallery wont push down the main content section so you can see the whole gallery. If I set the main content at height 700px then the whole gallery shows up, but because this is a template it screws up all my other pages because of the height setting. I need that to be variable. What am I doing wrong?

    Most likely that main content area also contains a floated element and you are not clearing the float before closing the main content container. Floated elements are removed from the normal flow. Being removed from the normal flow means that a container for that floated element does not regard the floated element as being in it, and will collapse around its non-floated content. To prevent this from happening you should clear the float before closing the container, e.g.,
    <div>
    <img src="very-tall-image.jpg" style="float:left">
    <p>some content</p>
    </div>
    This div will only be as tall as the paragraph tag requires, thus truncating the image.
    But here -
    <div>
    <img src="very-tall-image.jpg" style="float:left">
    <p>some content</p>
    <div style="clear:left;"></div>
    </div>
    This div will show the whole image.

    Embeding lightroom web site into dreamweaver?
    I've created a website in dreamweaver and currently have
    links to different lightroom web pages.
    www.owendawsonphotography.com. An annoying problem with this method
    is having to back click through lighroom to get to your home page.
    Being new to the web design program is there a way to embed the
    sites into dreamweaver so that you have the ability to set up a
    home button on each of the LR sites? I'm guessing not, but just
    thought I'd ask. Thanks, Owen

    Add target="_blank" to your links

  • Adding web gallery into existing website

    Hi,
    Does anyone know if you can add/import a lightroom created web gallery into an existing webpage? I am redoing my website (originally created with Frontpage, now considering using Expression Web) and want to create photo galleries using lightroom. I know you can create the same type of gallery using Flash, however I don't want to buy a new program when I have lightroom already. I don't have enough experience with HTML to use Dreamweaver.
    Thanks!
    Nancy

    This previews just fine from Dreamweaver but when uploaded non
    of my images load. Please see www.jakgallery.com/19701979
    All I get is the circular wait icon. Thanks very much for any help you can give. It seems I am one little step away from making it work.
