Lightroom 1.4 Installs Adobe Downloader on Vista Again
Just a reminder to the Lightroom team that the Adobe Downloader with Lightroom on Vista is defective/incompatible and causes Lightroom to either fire-up or crash when one plugs in any USB device on Vista. The downloader is incompatible with Vista please fix this or do not reinstall on Vista based machines please.
It seems that your 10.1.4 installation is corrupted; do the following:
uninstall the corrupted Reader using http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html
download and install Reader 10.1.4 from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
download and install the Reader 10.1.13 update from http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=10&platform=Windows
disable Protected Mode using the registry script from https://files.acrobat.com/a/preview/ec0f495a-e618-47c7-9ee8-c2d294b2aca7

Premiere Elements 13 does not support Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Mac OSX 10.7.
I have tried to push the Adobe ReadMe directive, using Windows XP as my test case. I could download
Premiere Elements 13 tryout from Adobe to my Windows XP SP3 32 bit computer, but I could not install it.
Please review and consider. Do you have Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit computer available to you for Premiere Elements 13?

If you installed them by download then you will need to do the same when your machine is ready. If you upgraded to version 12 then as a minimum you will need to have the serial number from version 10 in order to confirm your eligibility for the upgrade activation. You do not need to have version 10 installed.
You can check your account online to see if there are links to download the installation files. If you cannot find them in your account, then here are links to find the trial versions elsewhere - you can activate them to full use using your serial numbers...

Flash Installer cannot download. "Adobe Flash Player could not be installed."
Flash Installer cannot download. Finally get the message, "Adobe Flash Player could not be installed." I already uninstalled the old copy, now I have no Flash Player.
My issue was identical.... days of frustrating downloads and initializing but no installation........ UNTIL I chose to not use the default installer and chose 'Save File'. Now I have the latest Flash installed in OS 10.8.5 no problems !!
This time a long download of 16MB arrived in the downloads folder that actually worked.
Prior to this, all downloads were around 1.6MB and there was no .dmg in the package.
I got my download under where it says "Still having problems?"

The installation does not start when I log in to Adobe Download Assistant.
When I downloaded the program (Ae) it took me to the download assistant; which allows you to sign and start the installation process on its own. I am having a problem with the installation starting when I sign in. Once I sign in it gives me some programs I could download, but are not what I am looking for. Please help.

Make sure that your computer meets the System requirements for running After Effects. For example, AE requires a 64-bit operating system. If you're on a 32-bit version, you will be unable to install AE.
If you meet the system requirements, try one of the following:
Restart the browser and from the website, try downloading After Effects again.
Sign in to Adobe Download Assistant, and then from the Show Me menu choose Video, and then click the left/right arrows till you find After Effects CS6. -

My dad has the original software and i can't install the program because my dad is in the US and I'm in the Philippines. Now, I asked the serial number of his adobe lightroom. How can I download the software using the serial number? thanks.
If you just need a copy of the software, then download the trial copy of Lr available from Adobe. On entering your serial number it will then become a full copy.

Lightroom 6 installs Adobe crapware on your HD
So I bought and updated to Lightroom 6 today on Adobe website. All by itself, Adobe decided to also install crapware on my hard drive of Adobe Application Manager folder - 162.6 megs alone no less, Adobe Application Manager URI Handler, Adobe IPC Broker, AAM Registration Manager and AAM Launcher Util.
Delete this stuff and Lightroom 6 doesn't work.
Why Adobe? I do not use your Creative Cloud and I bet this all about that. Lightroom 5 didn't have it.
Repulsive.Love to know why Adobe litters the Applications & Utilities Folder then? Another question is why Adobe sees fit to put a LR Uninstaller in the Adobe Folder in Application Folder in an Adobe Lightroom Folder with the Lightroom app itself and another LR Uninstaller in the Utilities Folder in Adobe Installers folder? How many uninstaller does one need Adobe? And also in the Utilities folder is Adobe Application Manager with a variety of cryptic things and folders BUT Adobe puts the Adobe Application Manager application in the Applications folder by itself.
I appreciate Adobe fighting piracy (doesn't help but companies feel better trying) but opening the Launcher to get to applications on my Macs shows displays a whole lot of red Adobe applications scattered on the HD.

Adobe Download Assistant doesn't open
I'm hoping someone can help me. My PC runs Vista. I cannot seem to install a trial version of Acrobat XI. I download the trial, using Chrome, and the Adobe Download Assistant file is shown on my download bar at the bottom of my screen. When I click on it to open and run it, it doesn't open and the file disappears. It doesn't open when I go to my Downloads folder and try to open it from there either. I thought it may be because I don't have an Adobe ID, so I created an account, but that didn't help either. I'm really interested in this software, but if I can't even get it to install, I'm wondering whether Nitro Pro 9 isn't a better bet. Is there anyone who can help me?

Mac OSX 10.9.4 - Adobe Download Assistant does not display any products to download
I am attempting to download the free 30 day trial of Acrobat XI Pro, and I downloaded and installed Adobe Download assistant to do so. I successfully created an Adobe ID and have verified it. However, when I log in with my ID into the Adobe Download Assistant, no products display as being available for download (or display - period - before or after logging in). I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software, but no luck. The screen I am looking at is as follows:
Is there something I'm missing? I can go to "Select product" and select either "Photography", "Video" or "PDF", but when I click any of the options, nothing happens.
I couldn't seem to find a comparable problem on the forums. Any help would be appreciated, especially insofar as I am trying to evaluate whether to purchase the product in question.Downloads available:

I have Lightroom 4 purchased in disk download format. I am considering purchasing a MacBook Pro but this doesn't have a CDRom. Can I use the serial code to download on to MacBook via the internet? I have only used the disks once for my iMac.
you need a lr serial for mac. the serial number for pc and mac are different.
you can download a trial lr 4 for your mac but you need a mac serial number to install.
