Lightroom 2.5 activation/Registration

Hi,
I recently downloaded and installed Lightroom 2.5. At no time was I asked to enter an activation key or had I to select a Trial/Purchase option. This was 3 days ago. How can I determine whether my application is a trial version or an unlimited version ?

Thanks for your advice: I did as you recommended, License on left side
of dialog is green-ticked, so I suppose I'm running an official
version. The reason for this is probably what Chuck Tribolet guessed
when answering my query, i.e.

I actually had Lightroom 1.1 previously installed, and that did the trick.

I am attempting to implement JavaMail in an application in an OS400 environment. I simply want to send a text message (no attachements). My code works up to the point of: Transport.send(message); where I get a NoClassDefFound: com/sun/activation/registries/MailCapFile

I have JavaMail working fine in a servlet running in WebSphere 5.0 on the same OS400 v5r2.
Do I need to add another jar file to my CLASSPATH?? Don't know in what jar the:
com.sun.activation.registries.MailCapFile class is in????

From its name I would guess that it's in "activation.jar". In fact looking in that file on my AS/400, it IS in activation.jar. You must have missed the instructions that you would need that for JavaMail to work properly. You can get it here:

Lightroom and Product Activation

Ok, I'm confused. Does Lightroom use Product Activation, or not?
I've been thinking about buying Lightroom for a while now; very impressed with the demo. But, I won't buy software that uses product activation. Back when 1.3.1 came out, I called up Adobe's sales 1-800 number, and they said there would be product activation unless I bought a volume license, so I figured "too bad, no lightroom for me. Maybe I'll buy a Mac and Aperture."
But, I was complaining about this the other day, and someone told me Lightroom does not, in fact, use product activation. I notice it isn't on this list:

And I found this comment in a google search:
"I'm impressed with Adobe NOT requiring online activation in order to register Lightroom."

I also notice the lack of a "deactivate" option in the menus (although maybe that doesn't show up until I activate?).
So, what gives? Has anyone tried to install and "register" light room on a machine without an internet connection? Did it work?

No on-line product activation, like Photoshop or Dreamweaver. Just a serial number or not. If not you got thirty days of use.

CS5 and Lightroom 5 re-activation.

My friend Sari Ahonen asked me to contact you because of her computer (MacBook Pro) hard drive was destroyed and had to be replaced. On the hard drive of Photoshop CS5 and Lightroom 5. The hard disk was destroyed suddenly, so she did not have time to remove the programs activation. She has the same software also has an iMac computer, which they of course work. But how she is able to, they reactivate the laptop?

The solution is fairly simple. If she doesn't have any record ( in email or with her copies of photoshop) she can call Customer service and they'll be able to give her her product key. After she re installs everything she will be good to go!

How do I install Lightroom 6 and active it using serial number while I'm a Adobe CC subscriber?

I'am a Adobe CC for photographer subscriber and I have activated the new Lightroom CC on my desktop computer and one of my laptops. Yesterday, I redeem a Lightroom 6 serial number from Leica product purchasing.
When I install lightroom 6 on my another laptop, the installer asked me to login using my Adobe ID to which my subscription bundled. I could not find a place to input the serial number and after I logged in, it activated as Lightroom CC but not Lightroom 6.

I have a dual monitor setup. When I paste develop settings from one image to another, Lightroom switches the active window.

Strange problem. Lightroom 5.5. Windows 8.1. Dual monitor setup.
I'm processing a large batch of photos. I have Monitor #1 set as my main develop window, with Monitor #2 set only to display a larger version of the image I'm working with. If I copy the develop settings off of one image and try to paste them onto another image, Lightroom will switch from Monitor #1 to Monitor #2 as the main develop window, and will not display anything on Monitor #1.
If I then try to paste develop settings onto another image on Monitor #2, LR will then display a larger version of the image I'm working with on Monitor #1.
To work the way I want to, I have to continually drag my develop window back to Monitor #1 every time I try to paste develop settings onto a new image. How can I make this stop?

I just tried what I think you’re saying you’re doing and I don’t have the problem with LR 5.5 on Windows 7 SP 2.
Does the same thing happen whether you use the key shortcuts vs the Settings / Copy/Paste options on the menu?
I ask this because if you’re using the keyboard shortcuts, maybe you have some display-manager program that has bound itself to the Ctrl-Shift-V (paste settings) to the function of move-to-other-monitor which would do at least part of what you describe.
You can also test this theory by doing a Ctrl-Shift-V with an application other than LR as the active window and see if it moves. I suppose Ctrl-Shift-C might also play into it so try both of these hot-key combinations with a program that isn’t LR.
If none of this sheds any light on the situation, then give a more detailed description of the low-level functions you’re doing to accomplish the copy-paste of settings, so someone else could replicate the steps exactly.
Specific detailed steps, like:
left-click on source photo’s thumbnail in the filmstrip
press Ctrl-Shift-C to copy the settings
click Check-None
enable the white-balance and calibration checkboxes
click Ok
left-click on destination photo's thumbnail in the filmstrip
click on Settings / Paste Settings in LR’s menus to paste the settings to the selected photo

I purchased a boxed version (including CD and activation code) of lightroom 5 in Dec. 2013 from a store. My hard drive crashed last month and can't find the box with the activation code, but I still have the original receipt. How to I get an activation code to complete the reinstallation?

Is Cinema 4D Lite R14 limited to 800 x 600 render resolution even after activation/registration?

I created a new Cinema 4D scene from within After Effects and discovered that I couldn't make the output resolution larger than 800 x 600. In the rende settings window I get the message:
"Image Resolution: 800 x 600 Pixel - Application license limit of 800x600 pixel"
I realized I hadn't activated/registered yet, so I completed that process but I still get the limitation.
I tried:
Closing C4D and AE, restarting, opening the original .c4d I created before I registered;
Restarting the computer, then reopening the original .c4d in After Effects;
Deleting the original .c4d and creating a new one from After Effects
I still get the output resolution limitation.
I searched for documentation about the limit but didn't find any that referred to C4D Lite, only other demo versions (which had a smaller limit).
Is that a hard limit for C4D Lite R14? Or should I keep banging my head against it?
I tried contacting Maxon from the support email form on their site, but it rejects my serial number (the form asks for the first 11 digits, which includes a hyphen. I tried with the hyphen and it was rejected, I removed the hyphen and aded the next digit to total 11 and it rejected it... it
's like they don't want to hear from me. There's also no selection for the "Lite" version of the program.)
Intel i7 4770K, Asus Maximus VI Formula mobo, 32GB RAM, Asus GTX780Ti video card (nVidia), Windows 8.1, After Effects CC 2014, Cinema 4D Lite R14.

You can't render larger from C4D Lite, but your AE comp (with the C4D scene) should be able to be whatever size you want. AE renders your C4D scene; you don't render from C4D.

Lightroom 4.1 - activity bar gone?

There used to be an activity or progress bar that showed the progress of processing preview images, etc. I only see it upon exporting files now, but it does not appear for previews. Is there a way to enable this?
