Lightroom 2+ web templates

I want to update one of my websites using Lightroom 2+ as a front end. I'm looking for a template system that will allow me to create multiple LR galleries accessible from a home page that also allows links to other pages and URLs.
I know that SlideShowPro has the multiple gallery functionality, and that I could add the additional links using an XML editor. I also know that LRB Portfolio has this functionality right out of the box. Are there any others I should be looking at?
Thanks for any suggestions.

I saw a topic similar to this (Setting up web site for Lightroom 2.x exports. Where?) and responded.
I too saw the slideshowpro and director info on Adobe's web and played with it alittle in free-test mode. I liked it alot 'but' figured this too has a learning curve. I have been baptized setting up g2 and decided to stay with it for awhile + it's free and has tons of support, free upgrades, documentation (a weak point with slideshow pro / director) and a user forum (like slideshow).
Take a look at my comments in the topic above. Cliff notes, I use source forge's gallery 2 (version 2.3) to host my Adobe Lr2 web sites (amoung other subjects). This is very clean, fast and has minimal navigation.

  • Need help for Lightroom Print&Web Templates

    Hi,
I have just downloaded/installed my official Lightroom version (Mac OSX 10.4) and I have realized that there is no Print nor Web Templates accessible in the Template Browser section. I think I have done a mistake since I have erased completely the files from the beta4 version (including obviously the libraires containing those templates) before installing the official Lightroom V1.
Can anybody tell me where/how to get those original Adobe Templates files again. I have tried to re-install several times the V1 version but it does not help. Thanks a lot in advance for your help.

They were in User/Libray/Adobe Lightroom, no at User/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom

  • New Web Template: Slimbox for Lightroom!

I've produced a new gallery template for Lightroom's Web module using Slimbox, a very nice Lightbox clone.
    Check it out:

    Matt

    G'day folks,
Nice to see such lively conversation! Thanks to everyone for providing such good answers to the questions posed about my template before I was able to get on here to answer them. ;)
I've updated the template to version 1.1. Changes:
    - Added a Watermark checkbox.
    - Modified the tables around the thumbnails to produce smaller gallery pages and slightly faster loadtimes.
    - Gallery now looks for images in content/bin rather than just in bin.
I also reordered the CSS a bit. KBPhoto's changes will still work, but the CSS has been moved within the file, and I deleted a few of the labels in the CSS. Had I read these postings prior to updating the code, I'd have left them in. Sorry! Anyway, shouldn't be too difficult to figure out if anyone still wants to make the modification.
Hopefully my changes will help to remedy the "somewhat strange" rendering, but maybe not.
Not sure about rolling KBPhoto's modification into an official update of the template, as I tend to favor more reliance on CSS, but if it's a major issue for users, I'll consider it.
I also removed the 4x4 corner PNGs from the thumbnail slides. The difference is hardly noticeable, but if anyone misses them, let me know and I'll put them back in.
The latest version is available from the usual page:

  • Where are Lightrooms's web gallery templates stored on a Mac?

I want to re-create a html-web gallery that I used in CS4 and that was integrated in my own website. I wonder where the template are stored i Lightroom on a a Mac, so I'm able to copy and modify them. The possibility for modification inside LR are not enough.
    /Fredrik

They're inside the app itself, so use Finder and Show Package Contents to dig into the lrweb module.

  • I have made a blog about Web templates...please have a look

    Hello Everyone,
In my quest to make web templates I could not find a whole lot of relevant info. I feel like I am flying blind. I had asked, in a previous thread, for anybody with knowledge on making templates to share this info. Well, we did not get a whole lot.
So, I have decided to make a public spectacle of my adventure in creating them. Please visit the blog, and please chime in if you have relevant info, or questions (please note though, any questions may not be answered right away. At least not by me-'cause as of right now I have no answers LOL). The more people that participate the faster we will all learn how to do this.
    http://lrwebtemplates.blogspot.com/
My goal is to create a pdf of this knowledge once we have ironed out out all the bugs. Thanks for looking. And thanks in advance for any help/participation in the effort.

Thanks for doing this, Paul. Hopefully you'll get some useful stuff to add to it soon. A n additional item is the entry on Goerge Jardine's Lightroom Journal from Andrew Rahn. Nothing new there for us who have worked on trying to figure thsi stuff out and hardly the direction I had hoped things would go, but maybe it will lead to more in the future.

  • Add Facebook Comments to a Lightroom HTML Gallery template

If you prefer displaying your photos on your own website using Lightroom’s web galleries over uploading your photos to Facebook then one of the drawbacks is the lack of commenting. Fortunately, there’s a way to add Facebook Comments to your own website and gallery. See an example here. To implement this solution see the step by step tutorial:
    http://so.ca/?p=265
Does anyone know if Lightroom templates are over-written when upgrading to a new version of Lightroom? It would be annoying to have to repeat these steps with each version upgrade.
    Thanks.

    Hi Jerfrank,
If you are looking outside of SharePoint, I would suggest you to check Facebook SDK to integrate with your site.
Here are few links to start with -

And a bing search for "Facebook developer API" could also help you.

  • How do I update web template HTML files on MAC

I'm running lightroom 4.3 on a PC. The web template needed a few changes making, mainly the layout and replacing links for images etc., I could not find a way to update via lightroom so I changed the detail.html and grid.html files directly in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.3\Shared\webengines\default_html.lrwebengine. Now I need to make the same changes in lightroom 4.3 on a MAC, but have no idea how to locate the same files and update?
    Please can someone help me?

The equivalent location on the Mac is:
    //Applications/Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4/Contents/PlugIns/Web.lrmodule/Contents/Resources/galleries/default_html.lrwebengine
To see either of the Contents folders in the above path, you have to Command/Right-click on the previously mentioned file (Adobe Photohsop Lightroom 4 and Web.lrmodule) and choose Show Package Contents.

  • Custom Web template for the "online link" UI command

    All
We are trying to use a specific custom web template to allow personlization of reports within the Portal BI tool using the online link UI command.  After users have broadcasted their reports to their BIuserhome directory there is an online link UI command associated to the saved report.
Our one option would be to configure the web template as the default within the IMG.  But when we configured a default within the IMG, personalization of the report is not available with the context menu of the report.  We are broadcasting the reports to the BIuserhome directory.  Once the reports are saved users have the ability access the report using the online link UI command.  Since we lose personalization when we configure the IMG with a default web template, we want use a custom web template when we execute the online link UI command.
Is there a way to pass a web template parameter when we execute the online link UI command?
    Thanks in advance.

Sean McCormack has been doing a series here http://lightroom-news.com/ - seems to have stalled recently.
Also look at the SDK - link above.

  • How to create LR (2.*) web templates? Hi

    Hi,
I make my web sites with Dream weaver. I want to create templates for LR2 in dream weaver so they have the same look and feel as my own web site. Any ideas who this can be done?
The LR web template method can not be that secret?
    Regards
      Chris

The Web Engine is written in LUA, . You will require the Lightroom SDK. The rest of the stuff is just .css and .html etc. so can be written in Dreaweaver. Best of luck

  • Turning XML/XSLT files into a working Web Template

I've scoured these and other forums for this small piece of information, so I apologize if it's been answered already, but I can't find it.
I understand that the web templates in Lightroom are done in XML/XSLT, with the XML file named galleryMaker.xml and the XSLT file named transformer.xslt. However, I cannot figure out how to get these files to show up as a template in Lightroom.
I am on a Windows XP machine, and all the templates show up in Application Data/Lightroom/Web Templates, but they are all of the type *.lrtemplate. Is there a way to convert the XML/XSLT set of files into an lrtemplate file? Or is there something else I'm supposed to do?

I have an executable binary program (that runs just fine on it's own) that I needed to turn into a service (call it "foo"). I did so using the .xml file below, and it does indeed start up at boot, runs in the background,When you run your program (/usr/bin/foo), does it daemonize itself (kind of like running /usr/sbin/sshd), or would you have to do it yourself if run from the shell ('/usr/bin/foo &')?
and does everything it should. I've noticed a couple of problems, though. If I execute an init 0, the system hangs and never gets to the OK prompt. If I disable my service, an init 0 completes without any problems. An init 5 works OK, as does a shutdown from the desktop. I'm not sure what could be causing this. I thought maybe because the service was restarted over and over again...?
I gave my service a timeout value of "0", as I found that when I gave it any other value the service stopped running when the timeout expired. A seeming side effect is that my service is never listed as running, as it's start method (itself) hasn't yet completed. The manifest doesn't really want your binary as the start method. It wants to run something that starts the service, and will exit with status 0 if the startup was successful, and non-zero if the startup was unsuccessful. So you might want to write a small wrapper script (like an init.d startup script).
Take a look at the sshd.xml manifest. It doesn't start sshd, it runs '/lib/svc/method/sshd start', which is responsible for starting sshd.

  • Is there a Web Template spec somewhere?

Does anyone know where I can find a spec for how to create a Lithgroom web template (or even edit a current one)? I'd like to do more than just change the background color etc.
I assume Lightroom outputs XML but I'm not sure where to go from there.

  • Web Templates gone after updating to Snow Leopard

The only change we've made to the system is updating it from Leopard to Snow Leopard and we've lost all of the web templates we created in Lightroom 2 & more recently LR3.
    Has anyone experienced this before?

In Mac OS X … the user web templates should be located here:
    "Username"/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom/Web Templates/User Templates
Did you do a new install from Leopard or an upgrade install?
If you had a backup of your Leopard install … you should be able to copy over your user presets manually.

  • Use web template to open a report from a menu

    Hi all,
I have created one web template where I have a role menu that shows all reports that are available to the user. When the user clicks on one of these reports, the report displays in a new window. So far everything is working fine.
But, I have also created another web template and I want the report that is displayed in a new window to use this template. How do I do this? I have been looking at the settings for the Role menu, but can't find anywhere to put the template name...
    Anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks and regards,
    Tove-Mette

    Hello,
yes you can use the publish function, but only to add new entries.
In Transaction pfcg (not in WAD or BEx) in SAP GUI and then select your role at the tab "Menu" you can add/remove/maintain/organize your menu.
just click on a menu entry and take sth.like edit.
Then you will see a link if you didn#t find the string &template_id= the system will take the standard template (Tranaction spro), and you can easily add or change this parameter.
Hope that helps, please ask if you need further explanation.
    Regards

  • Problem of Query in Portal (web template)

    Hi BWs experts,
    I have a problem with a query.
I'm working on BI7 (BI java patch 12 and BI  abap pacth 14).
The query is good working in BEx Analyzer.
Bus when  I execute it in a portal like a web template, it doesn't work. The following error occurs :

In the default values (= filter) I'm using a variable for a characteristic C. If I delete this default value in query designer, the query works in portal. If i put a filter (constant or variable) to this characteristic C, the query bugs in portal.
So I don't know why it doesn't work.
I hope you can help me to resolve this problem.
    Points will be assigned.
    Best cheers,

    hi,
we're now getting the same message although that is after applying the java patch 12.
what exactly was the problem with the info-object? and what did you do to fix it?
