The program was working fine..now nothing. I have un-installed it several times...re-installed it several times. Will not even open in safe mode.

If the new profile does work, you can transfer selected data such as bookmarks and passwords to the new profile. I would not copy preferences or extensions, instead re-install the extensions. Just downloaded OSX10.10 - Yosemite. iPhoto said it needed to be updated, which I did. Upon trying to boot up iPhoto, I received the following message: "The iPhoto Library is locked, on a locked disk, or you do not have permission to make changes to it." iPhoto will not even open
I'm a bit of a noob but this worked - I right-clicked iPhoto and chose the top option "iPhoto Library". I didn't note the message that appeared, but it was something like
telling me I needed to upgrade iPhoto Library for it to work with my new version of iPhoto
cautioned me that it could take a while, and
once I upgraded it couldn't revert back to an earlier version.
So - I asked it to upgrade, it did, and once it finished iPhoto opened and now works!
I suppose why we could wonder why it wasn't included or mentioned in the original iPhoto upgrade, but this was probably more character-forming... -
Mac mail will not even open in lion...Any suggestions
I have installed Lion, now Mac Mail will not even open just freezes up at start and I have to quit it eveytime, application does not respond. Please help!
Did you fix this problem? I had to go to software update and update to a new mail for icloud.

I bought the app Atari greatest hits package for $9.99 and now the app will not even open... Every time I try to open it it closes on its own...any suggestions?
Try deleting it and reinstalling it.
you can also try giving your iPad a reset. Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds or so until it reboots and see if that helps. -
Most attachments from a specific address (work) can not be opened, identified as winmail.data and no data available. Not sure if this is based on the e-mail coming from a windows based system, too old of a windows based system or simply how i have it set on my Mac.

Winmail.data are not usable files. They just preserve RTF within the message.

Please read this post then provide some details. What printer model? What operating system? How is the printer connected - USB, wired LAN, Wireless LAN, bluetooth? Are there any error messages on the printer or computer screen? Was the driver installed correclty?

My Itunes will not stay open. Everytime I open it it just gives me a wait signal and then closes down on it's own. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it and it still won't stay open.... what should I do now?
Try removing the Genius database. In the "Finder" go to the /username/Music/iTunes/ folder and delete the "iTunes Library Genius.itdb" file. This may allow the program to launch again. This file will be recreated upon first use of the "Genius" feature.

Iphoto will no longer open when attaching my Canon Eos Camera. I have checked the camera and everything is working perfecty. When I open it myself, Iphoto is working perfectly too. But now when I attach the camera, Iphoto no longer opens at all. Yesterday it did open after a really long wait but it kept saying that it did not recognize the "format" of the images....they were jpegs??? Then it flashed on and off and if I hit download at just the right second they would download. But today it won't work at all. Any suggestions.

Okay, disregard my SN, because I'm really upset right now. iTunes has just decided on it's own that it's not going to function properly any more. This couldn't be worse because I have to leave for a 3 hour drive and I have no music now because this software is horrible.
I've reinstalled and restarted an incomprehensible amount of times and I have been looking but can't find a clear cut answer. I double click my shortcut icon on my desktop and nothing happens. I can double click until the freakin' cows come home and nothing happens. I even tried to crash my computer by highlighting the icon and holding the enter key (bad idea, I know, but I'm ******). iTunes was working just an hour ago, and now it's dead.
Please help me. This is hands down the worst music software I've ever used. It always gives me errors and crashes. The only reason I haven't created an account here before is because my roommate is a Computer Science major and has been able to help me. However, not even he knows what the **** is the matter.
I need help immediately, any is appreciated!

Dell Latitude D610 Windows XPBelated Happy Thanksgiving...with that aside, I don't particularly know what to tell you. I followed the link's directions and took out the stuff that appeared to meet the description. I will tell you though that the dates didn't exactly match up to when the system stopped working. It was off by as much as 2-3 days. I was only suspicious of them because I hadn't installed or downloaded anything in that time frame. If you look at the previous stuff I wrote, there are some of the files I found. The "woypwp.exe" was the one I found running when I compared it to the task manager. That date also didn't line up with when it stopped working, but it apppeared strange so I took it out and now everything is working as before..actually better..pop-ups stopped too. Good luck

First to check your Windows system file for any corruption:
Go to command prompt (START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES right mouse click "command prompt" and choose "Run as Administrator"
type in
sfc /scannow
let Windows fix any system files that need to be repaired.
Restart the computer.
Start iTunes and see if it is ok.
If it doesn't, will have to go through the whole process of uninstalling and installing acccording to the following steps:
1. Go to Microsoft website to fix install and Unistall problems. Click "Run now" from Fix it to remove all iTunes & related installer files:

Be aware that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility will not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall over.
2. You should remove all instances of iTunes and the rest of the components listed below:
it may be necessary to remove all traces of iTunes, QuickTime, and related software components from your computer before reinstalling iTunes.
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order:
iTunes
QuickTime
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)

3. Reboot your computer. Next, download iTunes from here:http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and install from scratch -
Can someone help with itunes, for some reason all of a sudden my iteunes will not open. It wants me to reinstall.

IPhoto will not even open? Help....
iPhoto has not worked at all since I got this computer [last week]. It opened a few times when I first got it. Now, clicking on the icon on the dock does not even do anything.

Start with the troubleshooting basics:
1. Delete the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder. (Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
2. Repair Permissions using Disk Utility
3. Create a new account (systempreferences -> accounts) and see if the problem is repeated there. If it is, then a re-install of the app might be indicated. If it's not, then it's likely the app is okay and the problem is something in the main account.

Photoshop CS5.1 will not even open. Says it has encountered a problem and has to close.
I have just today downloaded a free trial of Adobe CS5.1, but when I try to open it, it brings up the loading screen, and then when it says "Starting-up plug-ins, Scripting Support" an error message comes up saying "Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 has encountered a problem and needs to close.
This also happens when I try to use Photoshop Elements 8. It will not let me on to the Organiser.
As well as this, I had a problem with bridge. Whenever I tried to download images onto my computer, it said "Adobe photo downloaded has encountered a fatal error. Error code: c0000005 (I cannot remember what the address was though). I uninstalled bridge and then tried to download CS5.1 so I could get bridge again, but it has only made things worse!
What should I do?

OscarOk I did that and it said
"Faulting application photoshop.exe, version 12.1.0.0, faulting module scriptingsupport.8li, version 10.0.0.0, fault address 0x000d1a2e."
This would make sense as when I try to start photosohop CS5.1 and the strtup screen appears, when it says "Starting-up plugins, Scripting Support" that it was the message "Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 has encountered a problem and has to close" comes up.
