Lightroom 3 Export Function Always freezes my 64 bit Windows 7

When I first installed Lightroom3 it funtioned properly. I created several export templates via the Publish dialog screen.
About two weeks ago, I was asked to export some photos to Shutterfly.
I used a plugin I downloaded (even though it was written for LR2). It worked fine.
Since then I am not able to bring up the Export Dialog screen. My computer freezes every time I select Export. I have tried to unistall LR3 several time and reinstall it. It still does not work. I ewvery used a popular unistall program that deletes all the "files left behind " by Adobe's unistaller.
I have searched some user databases, and have found several references to Lightroom 2 and 3 export functions freezing the computers. Unfortunately, I have not found a solution to my problem.
How do I Completely uninstall Lightroom 3?
Is my exterior back up hard drive causing a "security" flag?
I am using CS5 and bridge now. Both work ok so far.
Is there a need to unistall the entire suite and reinstall?
I did try starting another catalog to test if that would correct my problem
What files are stored with the catalog?
Do I need to delete my catalog also?
Are the Export templates stored with each catalog?
Is it possible that the 64 bit version export code is buggy?

System is Windows 7 64 bit computer with 8gigs of RAM and 1 Terrabyte Hard drive.
AMD 2.3 Ghz.Phenom X4 Quad Core 9650 processor (Dell Inspiron 546)

For those who have read this posting: I have corrected my problem with more research.
Using the Adobe Support CPSID 82252.html "Trouble shoot system errors and freezes"
I found my problem. Step 4 asked me to update my video card driver. I did and I was able to click the "Export" button and the dialog screen came up.
For reference: my video card is a ATI Radeon HD 4350 and the latest driver is ver. 8.872 (AMD VECO 11.7 package which includes the driver and a nice user interface to upgrade the video software)
I will update this thread if any more issues occur on my system.

Upload Multiple Pictures function not available for 64-bit Windows and IE 11

The problem is as follows:
1) Open Picture library;
2) Open "Upload".
Result: "Upload Multiple Pictures" function is missing. Only "Upload Picture" functions is available.
Specs of my PC = Win 8.1 64-bit + IE 11 + Office 2013 64-bit + Shp Developer Tools 2010.
I have also tried the following configurations and they also doesn't work:
A. Win 7 64-bit + IE 11 + Office 2010 32-bit;
B. Win 8.1 64-bit + IE 11 + Office 2010 64-bit;
C. Win 8.1 64-bit + IE 11 + Office 2010 32-bit.
It does work for IE 10, but that's not the case.
Some more notes:
- For Office 2010 Picture Manager worked fine;
- STSUpld.UploadCtl.dll works fine, I can upload multpile documents;
- Tried to switch on Private browsing, put site in trusted sites.
Do you have some more ideas where to look for a solution? For me it looks like deadend already, I have tried almost everything what I could find on google.

HI Roland,try checking this with the Firefox or chrome.
So if you are one of few that are using IE11.you have probably noticed many corruptions and misbehaves in UI. So far I have discovered the following problems:
1.     Calendar web part is extremely corrupted
2.     You will click Settings > Edit Page, Pages will not enter edit mode.
3.     Web Part Properties cannot be modified.
So until we get official CU or SP from SharePoint team, run your sites in compatibility mode.
How to run Compatibility mode: Please find the ways to get the mode.
Way 1:
1.   Press ALT + T when viewing your SharePoint page
2.   Click Compatibility View Settings in the menu that appears
3.   Click Add to add the current SharePoint site to your list of compatibility view pages
4.   Click Close

Lightroom 5.3: cannot resize a pict in export function with "bord etroit" parameter.

After install Lightroom 5.3 we cannot resized a pict in export function with "bord etroit" parameter. It's good with "bord large"!...

QT player export function for iPod doesn't work!

i just bought QuickTime Pro.
unfortunately, the export function for iPod (.m4v) doesn't work...
it stops after a short while and dont't go any further.

While I haven't used it, QT 7 and the iPod preset (H264 encoding) seem to be quite slow compared to other compressors. Many people have mentioned the seeming freeze, while other state that if you let it run long enough it will eventually finish the project. If you don't have the patience to wait, you might want to try exporting to mpeg-4 and see if that works a bit faster.

Resizing and export function in LR and printing adjustments

(1) Lightroom version 5 should correct deficiencies in the export function, Many picture agencies/websites require a target file size in megabytes, say a minimum of 24MB or 48MB in RGB or sRGB-Only megapixels can be enterd in LR. LR does not display the original nor developed/cropped image size in MB so following compression to an 8 bit jpeg, it is not clear what target file size has been achieved unless it is separately opened in Photoshop or when uploaded. There is also no means of viewing within LR the resultant upsized image at 1:1 in the export window to check for artifacts/softness before exporting, so poor quality or under sized images can be exported. An accurate preview display would be useful. ( 2) Separately, I am not sure why LR4.4 and earlier versions do not the allow the export of the same image more than once to the same or different folder on the computer? There also seems to be a low limit on the file size than can be exported. (3) The print module should preview accurately the lightness and contrast adjustments for printing which would avoid a lot of wasted ink and paper. The soft proofing mode does not in my view accurately do this either.

As far as Lightroom 5 is concerned, the list of features is relatively fixed and can be seen in Lightroom 5beta, and it is unlikely that additional new features will appear in Lightroom 5.
Regarding (1), I simply don't understand why anyone would require a specific megabytes for a photo. It makes no sense to me. Depending on what manipulations I perform on a photo, I can get the same photo to be many different sizes, but I'm not adding value nor am I producing a superior photo, I'm just changing the megabytes.
Regarding (2), I never tried exporting a photo twice, but it seems to me that if you just change the name on the second export file, there shouldn't be a problem. Am I wrong?

Export function not working in Internet Explorer

so i've got a report displayed in IE, but when i go to export to any file format, IE opens a new tab and that's it. depending on certain settings (like adding the server to intranet zone), i can get the new tab to say nothing or "Blank Page".
i've tried adding the server to the safe zones, i've played with some tabs settings, i enabled the "run active x" options...
finally i reset all settings of IE to their defaults. i still can't figure out what i'm missing. if i copy the url to another browser the export works fine, as expected. on another machine i found this "rsclientprint 2008" addon so i downloaded
that but i still got nothing.
on a working machine, when i click the export button, a new tab opens with the name of the reporting server in it, it thinks a bit, then that tab closes and i get the "open or save" message in the original tab. on the one that's not working, it
opens the new tab, DOESN'T show the server name and that's the end of it. so it seems like it can't connect to the server on the export function. (but report creation works just fine)
anyone know of anything glaring that i'm missing??

the app i had installed before was Classic Shell so that Windows Explorer's (win7) left hand pane doesn't jump around on you when you double click.
i just completely uninstalled the application and rebooted. still nothing.
going to do a repair while classic shell is uninstalled. brblol

so i couldn't run the IE installer (per MS suggestions) because i have a newer version. so i tried the fixer that i found here:

WHY IS FIREFOX ALWAYS FREEZING AND NOT RESPONDING?

when i start to use firefox on facebook it works ok for a bit and then it starts not responding or is really slow. i never had any problems with firefox till these latest updates. what could the problem be. it's very frustrating and i have always liked using this until now.

Export function crashes Windows Explorer or at least the exported images do.

This is the first time that I have used the Export function since upgrading to version 2 so believe that it is tied in with the upgrade somehow.
When I choose an image > Export > Temp folder on the Desktop the image does indeed appear in the temp folder. Double clicking on the folder displays the contents and so long as I take no further action nothing more happens. However, as soon as I move the mouse over the image icon this causes Windows Explorer to crash.
With LR closed down, I navigate to the folder where the image is located and by right-clicking > copy I then save a copy to another temporary folder on the desktop. Moving the mouse over the image icon does NOT this time cause Windows Explorer to crash.
I have tried the Export function with RAW, DNG and JPG files to see if the problem was related to any one particular file or file format but it makes no difference - the same problem as described above occurs.
Has anyone else experienced this or can advise on how to possibly isolate this problem?

Thanks for that John. Having done as you suggested, the problem appears to be with a dll file associated with another application I used for displaying cr2 and crw thumbnails in Windows Explorer. In the applications (dpMagic) preferences if I uncheck jpg and jpeg from the file associations Windows Explorer does not crash following Export from Lightroom and in this situation, double-clicking on the exported jpg/jpeg file now results in it opening in Windows Fax and Picture Viewer.
Even uninstalling the application followed by manually searching for any trace of remaining files prior to a fresh install does not cure the problem and I suspect that not all files from this application are being removed.
Anyway, I have now emailed dpMagic support for advice but am happy that the cause of this crash does not now appear to lie with Lightroom.

"Some Export Functions Were Not Performed"

I am running Lightroom 4.2 on Windows 8 and routinely receive the message "Some Export Functions Were Not Performed" / "File Cannot Be Written" when trying to export. I have 128GB of space available on the drive I am writing to, do not use a "Second Copy", and have full administrative rights to the drive. There were a couple times when I was able to export an image but when trying to repeat the same process they too now fail.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

I eliminated GoodSync, Windows 8 Photo app, and Adobe PhotoShop Elements Organizer as the root of the problems as I was still experiencing the inability to export with these services totally disabled.
I still do not know the cause of the problem but when LR4 exports a file that it said it couldn't do successfully it creates an illegitimate JPG file in the destination folder and I am unable to delete the bad JPG file because LIGHTROOM has a lock on it.
I'm wondering if it is a Windows 8 issue.
Anyone else?

Lightroom Export Presets Missing!

I have tried the restore presets under preferences and doing a repair as an installation option but neither restored Lightrooms presets. I am using V2.6. Any ideas on how I get the Lightroom export presets?

I assume that "OP" is slang for "other person."
I am experiencing two problems:
1. Firstly I am missing presets
a. By presets I mean
                a. keyword presets,
                b. filter presets, and
                c. custom develop presets.
b. "Just missing presets" constitutes a great deal of effort for me, and it should be for you, since it's an issue that has been raised since to LR 2 and has been raise in CS4 as well.
2. I've also lost all my watermarks and am unable to recreate watermarks that actually appear on export files.
For the record I am using LR 3.2 64 bit beta with Windows 7 64 bit
I've been using them for months.
This problem occured yesterday for the first time.
I have backedup, as recommended by LR, several times.
Restores have not helped.
There have not been any recent system updates.
The only plug-in I use is the export to zenfolio.
The watermark problem is not related to the zenfolio plug-in, I have the same issue exporting to hard disk without the plug-in.
The watermark editor does not show the choosen graphic as it last time I checkede (several days ago.)
I don't understand why keysets are not part of the backup...
Are they not part of the catelog?
Feel free to ask me all the questions you want, but please help me resolve this issue.

Lightroom overwrite function not working

Hello,
I'm new to Lightroom so I might be screwing this up somehow. I pick the Overwrite without warning option on the export function. I've noticed that it pops up the dialog saying X file will be replaced. I click Ok and go to my pictures library and only the unedited original is there. Anyone else have this issue?

I think you selected "original" as file format, which means that no lr ajustments are saved in the exported file.

How can you tell if a computer problem is a hardware or software problem? My Macbook pro is always freezing!!

Something doesn't sound right here. You say you have been using the MBP for 5 months and your profile say you are running 10.4.10. A MBP bought five months ago should have Snow Leopard 10.6. Of did you get this MBP used five months ago? Before we can help you must tell the straight story.

It was a display driver. All I needed to do was to boot from the CD again and following the directions in the post.

Can one export a schema from a 64 bit Oracle DB into a 32 bit Oracle DB?

I need to copy a schema from one DB to another. The source DB runs 64 bit version of Oracle DB but the target DB runs 32 bit version of Oracle DB. Can the schema in 64 bit DB instance be exported and imported into a 32 bit DB instance with exp/imp or expdp/impdp command? Thanks.

Thanks for your help. Please see part of the error message below. In the new db, I have created the same user with same password and also grant connect and resource privilege to that user. But I don't understand why some table could be recreated without any issue while all those with BLOB column cannot.
