Lightroom 3 shortcut conflict.

In Lightroom 3 (Spanish version) shortcut to rotate photos (cmd + J) it doesn´t work in MacBook Pro in the Library module. In the develop module it´s all right.
In Library (cmd + J) this shortcut change the cells options (show numbers in grids, stars..) views in this module. You can´t rotate the photos, only rotate to the other side whit the other shortcut (cmd + M).
The comunnity help show the wrong shortcut, (cmd + B) to rotate the photos.

Btw: There is still one more very strange behavior -  Windows software usually uses [Ctrl - arrow left/right] to move the cursor between words. This is one of the most used shortcuts on this planet I suppose.
But in LR it is used to select the next picture (I hate that). So editing keywords and trying to jump within the field instead unselects the picture and selects others. And if editing the airbrush field for painting keywords this shortcut does both things: it moves the cursor within the filed AND selects the next picture.

There's a shortcut conflict with Firefox 15 and Multifox 1.3.3 - they both use Ctrl+Shift+M. Since the upgrade to Firefox 15 I cannot use Multifox anymore. Is there a workaround?

  • Adobe Photoshop CS6/ Bridge & Lightroom Keyboard Shortcuts

I would be grateful if someone could direct me to a pdf list showing keyboard shortcuts for Photoshop CS6, Lightroom and Bridge.
    Thanks

For a reference to Adobe Photoshop's keyboard shortcuts, take a look at the new Photoshop CS6 Quick Reference Guide. It is in its beta form, but it is a great way to find shortcuts, as well as find a menu location that might have changed from CS5. We are looking for your feedback, which you can contribute on the site as well.

  • Keyboard Shortcuts Conflict. Shift F6 Changed from Feather to Flip

I have been using Shift+F6 to acquire Feather in Select>Modify. Suddenly, instead of Feather, the selection flipped. A bit of mucking around found that Shift+F6 is assigned to Actions>Flip, and it makes sense  because it actually is Flip Horizontal whilw Shift F7 is flip Vertical.
Checking Keyboard Shortcuts does have Shift+F6 assigned to Feather. I deleted it and tried to reassign it to Shift+F6 but Shortcuts would't allow it as Actions takes precedence.
So, I deleted it from Actions, but how did it get there? I was in the middle of setting up a new Action which did use the Feather Command but when I invoked it in the Record Mode, it flipped instead.
I do not recall having set Shift+F6 to either function. Logically, it seems to belong to Actions, but I have been using it as Feather since installing CS5.
If this is a know bug, are there any other Shortcuts that have unresolved conflicts or worse, arbitrary points where the command goes elswhere than what you expect?
Hmmm, Feather and Flip are both F words!

Did you load up the Commands actions set (which contains the Flip actions) from the fly-out menu at some point recently?  They're not normally installed in the Actions panel by default.

  • Lightroom 4 Shortcut key help

    Hi
Please I need a help to find a shortcut of Lightroom 4 for Windows.
    Let me explain.
In Lightroom for Mac in Develop mode I can use the keys "," and "." to move down and up in the adjustments ( ex: Temp, Tint, Exposure and etc).
With the keys "+" and "-" I can increase and decrement this adjustments.
+ or - Increment or decrement by x (by an amount)
+ or - with Alt Increment or decrement by x/y (by a fraction of that amount)
+ or - with Shft Increment or decrement by x * y (by a multiple of that amount)
For exemple in Temp "+" increment the amount by 5 , whit "shift +" increment the amount by 20 and "Alt +" increment the amount by 1.
This "Alt +" or "Alt -" is fantastic and I need precision adjustments.
But my problem is the Lightroom for Windows this "Alt + " and " Alt - " don't work.
I think the windows version have a diferent shurtcut key for this. Someone know qhat is the key ?? I already tried everthing here.
    Thanks in advance
    Adriano

According to The Lightroom Queen (considered the preeminent expert in this area, among others) there isn't one. Check out her free Keyboard Shortcuts document.

  • Keyboard Shortcut conflict

    Hi-
I'm working a lot with Flash 8. A common command is "Publish". The shortcut for this is Shift+F12...which is also the shortcut to launch Dashboard (in slow motion...no kidding).
I went to System Prefs/Keyboard Shortcuts, found Dashboard and unchecked it so it wouldn't launch on F12. There was no place to disable Shift+F12.
I did the steps to add Shift+F12 for Flash 8. Quit and restarted Flash but got the same slo-mo Dashboard. I tried adding the command while Flash was running and not running.
Is there a way for me to get Dashboard to give up the Shift+F12 shortcut so that Flash can have it??
    TIA your help,
    Josh

I found the answer within Flash8. On the top menu, under Flash8 select "Keyboard Shortcuts". The Keyboard Shortcut window opens with the entire collection of established default shortcuts in nauseating detail..First make a duplicate of the default shortcut set and rename it. This is a one-click operation, the first icon to the right of the "Current set" drop down menu. Then find the command you want to change by first selecting a category from the "Commands" drop down menu and then from the resulting list. Select the command, hit "-" (minus) to delete the old keyboard shortcut, hit "+" and make your own. Then click "Change" button. I use the "full fist plus" combination for all of my changes (shiftoption+command an alphaNumeric) If there's a conflict within Flash, Flash will tell you immediately. Otherwise you are there.
    Good luck.
    This quest is over.

  • Mission control "Middle mouse button" shortcut conflict?

I am trying to set the preference shortcut for mission control to Middle Mouse Button. When doing so I get a yellow triangle that says "This mouse button settings conflicts with the settings for another mouse button". The shortcut still works even with the error message. I can't find this button being used anywhere else in system settings. Any ideas on how to find out what the conflict is? Sort of silly it doesn't tell you on the warning tool tip.
    Thanks.

I know this is an old problem, but I have spent several hours on several occasions searching the Internet, and I never could find the solution. So I did some digging and testing, and I'm posting the solution for the benefit of others who are still trying to find an answer.
Move the files com.apple.symbolichotkeys.plist and com.apple.symbolichotkeys.plist.lockfile (if present) from your *user*/Library/Prefrences folder to the trash, then log out and back in. Problem solved.
*Note that this will reset your other user-defined keyboard shortcuts to default.
To get to that folder in Lion or Mountain Lion, from the Finder hold option while clicking on the menu Go, then select Library. Open the Preferences folder, and the offending files will be there.
I was looking for a solution because I have been having trouble with my MBP where often when I click the middle mouse button or use the four finger swipe up to bring up Mission Control, the desktop would go to gray briefly as though it were reloading, and Dashboard would quit. This would happen several times a day, and it was getting annoying. I thought that the button conflict perhaps was causing that problem. It now seems fixed, but I'll need a few days to know for sure. Anyway, the button conflict is gone.

  • Final CAT Pro Plugins Services cause shortcuts conflict with other softwares

I just installed Final CAT Pro Plugins. They are useful but cause me an issue:
Since they are based on Services OSx system, they remain active also in other programs, so that when I use, for instance, Logic Pro, I have some shortcuts which match the Final CAT Services ones, and in the moment I digit them for Logic use they don't work in Logic and moreover cause FCPX to launch.
So.... How can I do? (Apart from changing the shortcuts....)

    Hi MN Studio,
Thanks for this question. My name is Jeroen, I am one of the developers of Final Cat Pro. After we noticed your comments on this forum we decided to rewrite the services. We hope to solve this problem with the new release early next week.
Actually, we have the beta version of the new release ready. If you are willing to try it, send me an email so you can test it and let us know if the problem is solved. You can send us an email via [email protected] or directly at [email protected]
If the new software works out, I can send you the updated version if you want?
    Thanks,
    Jeroen

  • Lightroom KeyBoard Shortcuts Windows in PDF?

Any one have this and where I can get a copy, having it next to you to reference is great, I have it for Adobe Bridge and Camera Raw.
Hoping to get one for Lightroom.

  • Shortcut conflicts resolution

Is there any way to get rid of unnecessary global shortcuts, which are NOT listed under System Preferences:Keyboard Shortcuts? Like Opt+F12 = System Preferences:Sound?

I don't have an apple keyboard, and opt+F12 does not take me to System Sound; however, opt+volume Up key does.
Can you set the keyboard and Mouse prefs to use function keys as function keys, not the printed options like volume. It shows up on my MacBook Pro, but I'm not sure about desktops. I think it is on the Keyboard tab. Once you change it, you have to hold down the fn key to get the volume, etc functions. If you don't have a fn key on the keyboard, then I would suppose there would be no option in Keyboard and Mouse to change the function keys.

  • English Lightroom on German Windows: Shortcuts not working

    Hello,
I have installed the English version of Lightroom 3 on a machine running a German Windows 7.
Normally I was using the following shortcuts on a German keyboard for rotating images in the library module:
    Ctrl + .
    Ctrl + ,
Since some update of Lightroom these shortcuts are not working anymore. I can use them only if switching Lightroom's default language to German. However I'd like to use the English version.
The English shortcuts Ctrl + [ and Ctrl + [ are not working either on a German keyboard.
    Has anybody experienced the same?
    Robert

    Peter
I followed the directions on that post and it worked...!
    here is the instructions
"Looks like InDesign is getting confused between British and US  English - probably it got installed as British English, then decided it  rather be US English. Why that'd be - no idea.
So, here's what you can try if your shortcut keys suddenly disappear on you:
    1) Navigate to the Adobe InDesign CS4 folder
    2) Go into the Presets folder
    3) Go into the InDesign Shortcut Sets folder
    4)  If you see a folder called 'en_GB', but no folder called 'en_US', make a  copy of the en_GB and rename the copy to en_US. Possibly the reverse  could also happen - you see en_US, you might want to try and copy it to  en_GB."
Thank you so much to you and Kris for this helpful information.

  • Lightroom 5.5 doesn't recognize 'Shift + numeric keypad number' keyboard shortcuts in windows 7

Some Lightroom keyboard shortcuts, e.g. color labels recognize the numeric keypad on my windows pc. When I press 6 it sets the color label to red. According to the keyboard shortcut guide, pressing Shift then a number key should set the color label and move to the next photo. Instead, when pressing a number on the number keypad it recognizes Shift + 6 as a directional arrow, as printed on the key below the '6' and simply moves to the next photo without setting a color label on the first photo. The same applies to the 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8 and 9 keys on the keypad. They all have a directional function associated with them.
I do not have this problem when pressing Shift + a number key along the top of my keyboard. These combinations work as expected.
Does anyone know how I change the number keypad to behave the same as the number keys at the top of my keyboard?
    Thanks - Michael

Try booting the fallback kernel, there is a problem with the AHCI driver concerning new Macbooks. When you've booted, add ata_generic to the modules in /etc/mkinitcpio.conf and rebuild the initrd with mkinitcpio -p kernel26.

  • How to edit content in a cell - how can u set a shortcut to do that

so i have been left clicking to change the content. how do you do that on the keyboard? i found a list of shortcuts under some menu in numbers, but i couldnt set the shortcuts myself
thanks alot, this will save me soooo much time

There is a partial solution to this that will allow you to enter the formula editor for any selected cell from the keyboard:
    1. In System Preferences, select the "Keyboard Shortcuts" section of the Keyboard & Mouse" preference.
    2. Click the plus box button below the list to add a shortcut.
    3. In the drop down sheet, from the "Application:" popup that defaults to "All Applications," choose Numbers if it is listed (it probably will not be) or if not, scroll to the end of the list & select "Others..." & navigate to Numbers in the Application folder & choose it. (The basic idea is to create an application-specific keyboard shortcut for Numbers.)
    4. In the "Menu Title:" text box type "Formula Editor" (without the quotes)
    5. Select the "Keyboard Shortcut:" box & press the keys for the desired keyboard shortcut. This can be anything that includes one or more modifier keys (Command, Control, Option, etc.), but to prevent conflicts, choose something not already in use & not something that would be a character you would want to enter in a cell.)
    6. Click the "Add" button, then scroll down in the shortcuts list window to the "Application Keyboard Shortcuts" section, click the triangle to show them, & check that the shortcut is listed, & that not yellow warning triangle appears, signifying a shortcut conflict.
    7. If Numbers is running, quit & relaunch it so that the shortcut will take effect.
As noted above, this only helps with cells that have, or will have, formulas in them. It works exactly like the menu command Insert>Function>Formula Editor: If the cell does not currently have a formula but some literal value, the formula popup will not include it, & if you then click the "Accept" button, type a return, tab, etc., the literal value will be replaced. If the cell already has a formula, the formula popup will not replace it but instead will move the insertion point to after the last character in the existing formula.
The same technique will work for adding keyboard shortcuts to any other Numbers menu item.
Had there been an "Enter cell editor" (or something like that) menu command, presumably this would have allowed a complete solution, but there doesn't even seem to be an official name for doing that -- the documentation refers to it only procedurally, as in 'click again' or the like. Obviously, there is no need for the menu item other than for this, so a complete solution will have to wait for a new version of the app.

  • How do I update a licensed local copy of Lightroom 5.7?

I shoot with a Leica, and Leica owners receive licensed local copies of Lightroom with the purchase of our camera bodies (lucky us? I'm sure the price is built in!)
I gave the Photography Creative Cloud a try, but I don't have use for Photoshop and the CC version of Lightroom caused frustrating conflicts with the existing licensed copy on my Macbook Pro.
When I attempt to update my local copy of Lightroom 5.7, I go to "Help" > "Check for updates..."
A window appears titled "Lightroom Update Available" and it lists the new software's features. HDR Merge in particular looks like something I might like to try.
When I click the "Download..." button, no download starts. Something really funny happens.
My internet browser opens and navigates to the product sales page for Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC.
How can I download the update to a local licensed copy without a subscription to the Creative Cloud?

OK, wasn't entirely clear.  Adobe also posts updates on these pages:
Adobe - Lightroom : For Macintosh
Adobe - Lightroom : For Windows
