Lightroom 4.0 Dutch version extremely slow

Why is it soooo slow????
Please provide an update asap!!!!!

Version 4.1 RC has been an improvement for many users, myself included.
You can download it at http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/lightroom4-1/
Note that this is only a "release candidate,"  not a released product.
I believe it is only available in English, but I doubt the language would be a problem for you.  Not sure about the Dutch versus US keyboard.

  • Newest version extremely slow...

I've put off updating iTunes to 8.0.2 because I've had problems with new upgrades in the past, but I finally downloaded 8.0.2 and it's extremely slow. The Store takes more than double the time it used to take to load, switching between "Music" and the store usually gives the graphics a "dragged" effect across my screen and now it makes an annoying sound effect that usually comes seconds after it's supposed to. Any quick fixes? Any place to download an older version?

It's slow to load, and when you're watching a video, the video looks like it has like 3 frames per second.

  • Latest iTunes version: extremely slow start-up

    My set-up:
    - Windows 8.1 Pro x64
    - iTunes 11.1.2 x64
    - large MP3 collection (hundreds of GBs... don't ask how)
    - Moved Music library from C: drive to D: drive
The combination of Windows 8.1 and iTunes 11.1.2 or either of them, causes iTunes
to start up very very slow.
I deleted my iTunes library and started from scratch, but no effect. My iTunes library (under Music) doesn't
contain the songs, just links to another folder on another drive (fixed harddisk).
After you start iTunes, you see the memory usage slowly crawling to 250 MB, then it starts and works.
    But it takes 3-4 minutes.
    What's new ?

    Apple just released 11.1.3
    From the release notes:
This version of iTunes resolves an issue where the equalizer may not work as expected and improves performance when switching views in large iTunes libraries. This update also includes additional minor bug fixes.
I can confirm that my issue has been solved. iTunes loads after a few seconds and switching view doesn't crash it anymore.
    Thanks Apple !!

  • Get Latest Version extremely slow

    Hello,
When we do a "Get Latest Version" for a project containing about 450 subfolders this operation shows the "Contacting server to get list of items to update..." for a very long time. Eventually it will come up with an error "HTTP code 500: Internal Server Error". The event log indicates a time out. I have already increased the executionTimeout values for the various .config files used by the Web Services. This increases the time it takes for this error to appear (this can take up to 2 hours) but the error still appears. These subfolders each contain about 20 files with a total size in each folder of 180KB.
While the "Get Latest Version" is active the server CPU is not busy at all, it stays at 1-2%. It does not matter if we do the get latest from a client or on the server itself, the result is the same. It looks as if Team Foundation is blocked on something.
When we do "Get Latest Version" on a smaller project (2250 files, 272 folders, total size of all files 134 MB) the operation also takes a long time, but it completes successfully.
I've only been able to retrieve all files successfully by creating a .cmd file which contains a get command for each individual sub folder:
    tf get Folder1 /force /recursive
    tf get Folder2 /force /recursive
    tf get Folder3 /force /recursive
    etc.
The execution of this command file takes about 20 minutes. During this time the TF server shows a much more substantial CPU load.
We are running our Team Foundation Server (single-server deployment) on a Dell PoweEdge SC440 server (3.0 GHz, 1 GB RAM, Server 2003 R2 Standard Edition SP1).
I have searched the forums for hints on these performance problems, but haven't found anything except instructions to look at the network configuration (half duplex/full duplex/auto detect). This can not be the issue since the issue also appears locally on the server.
Any help would be appreciated, we really need to improve the performance of the system to make it usable for us.
    Regards,
    Henk.

I'm sure there is a problem with our domain controller setup. When I had problems installing Team Foundation I found a post which advised to run a dsquery statement which does something similar to what the Team Foundation installation tries to do. When I tried this statement it failed with an error, at that point I decided to switch to using Workgroup accounts for the setup.
Having said that, I had no problems logging on to the Team Foundation server system using a domain account, but it does appear other parts of the Active Directory functionality are not working correctly. We do not have much Active Directory expertise at the moment, it's something we will look into later.

  • I have been using Firefox for many years now and really like it, now the version 4 is extremely slow, anyone else having the same issue?

I upgraded to version 4 last week and find it extremely slow compared to the previous version - like so slow that some pages do not even load. I have downloaded and gone back to version 3.6.17 and everything is back to the normal I have known for years with Firefox and it is really fast again...so now I know that there is nothing wrong with my computer and that the supposedly very very fast version 4 is much much slower than the previous version 3.6...so what gives? I'm not keen on going back to the new improved version 4, though I know it will not be supported soon...anyone else having the same issue?

Having the exact same problem here.
    -Mac OSX
    -3.6 worked great
-I tried the 4 beta, got rid of it because it was so slow
-When it upgraded to 4 is VERY slow and freezes often
-Appears especially slow on sites with flash (ie http://www.bbc.co.uk/news)

  • How to fix extremely slow printing from web pages with latest updates (iMac) & HP Office jet printer. (It was not a problem with earlier versions of Firefox & same computer & printer.)

The latest two updates of Mozilla Firefox are not useful for me because of extremely slow printing of web pages. It was never a problem before. Same iMac and HP officejet printer. How can I either fix it, or revert to an earlier version of the browser (without losing all my bookmarks) which didn't cause this problem?

Try scanning from your Mac.  Use Image Capture app in your Applications folder.
Click once on the scanner on the left side, then click on Show Details along the bottom.  Along the right side you will see LOTS of options for scanning and saving.
Say thanks by clicking "Kudos" "thumbs up" in the post that helped you.

Slow in what respect?  Please be specific.

Ummmm, could you ellaborate on how you plan to turn to Windows because iTunes (an application that runs on Windows) is running slow?

  • Where can i find a pdf with the dutch version of the manual for lightroom 6

where can i find a pdf with the dutch version of the manual for lightroom 6

I don't think it's available yet.  The English help page has a link to it:
    https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/topics.html
But the equivalent page for Netherlands only links to prior versions:
Help bij Lightroom | Help bij Lightroom
Same for DE, FR, ES.  Maybe someone more enlightened knows if they're available somewhere else on Adobe's site.

  • Macbook Pro running extremely slow with version OS X 10.10.2

Since updating to Yosemite, version OS X 10.10.2 on my 2010 MacbookPro, it has been running extremely slow in all applications.  Everything from booting up and shutting down to getting mail open, printing or using Safari takes a long time!  Lots of beach balls spinning and other delays.  I have 4 GB of memory and 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo.

When you see the beachball cursor, note the exact time: hour, minute, second.

  • Download speeds extremly slow for CS6 trial version

I am trying to download the trial version of CS6 using the Adobe download assistant. It is extremely slow (Currently saying it will take another 15 hours to download.) It has been stuck at 987 MB for over two hours. I have a very fast fibre optic line and just did a speed test. I am seeing download speed of 75.79 Mbs so it is not my broadband. I am on Mac OS Lion 5.7.  and have plenty of empty disk space. Any ideas of what the problem is?

so it is not my broadband.
Actually it probably is. Due to how ADM work sthere may be issues on such connections due to how they handle upstream communication and may dynamically switch IPs/ channels in their multiplexers.... Try a direct download using the method described here:

  • Extremely slow performance on projects under version control using RoboHelp 11, PushOk, Tortoise SVN repository

We are also experiencing extremely slow performance for RoboHelp projects under version control. We are using RoboHelp 11, PushOk and a Tortoise SVN repository on a Linux server. We are using a Linux server on our IT guys advice because we found SVN version control under Windows was unstable.
When placing a Robohelp project under version control, and yes the project is on my local machine, it can take up to two hours to complete. We are using the RoboHelp sample projects to test.
We have tried to put the project under version control from Robohelp, and also tried first putting the project under version control from Tortoise SVN, and then trying to open the project from version control in Robohelp. In both cases, the project takes a ridiculous amount of time to open. The Robohelp status bar displays Querying Version Control Status for about an hour before it starts to download from the repository, which then takes more than an hour to complete. In many cases Robohelp becomes unresponsive and we have to start the whole process again.
If adding the project to source control completes successfully, and the the project is opened from version control, performing any function also takes a very long time, such as creating a topic. When I generated a printed documentation layout it took an astonishing 218 minutes and 17 seconds to complete. Interestingly, when I generated the printed documentation layout again, it took 1 min and 34 seconds. However when I closed the project, opened from version control, and tried to generate a printed documentation layout, it again took several hours to complete. The IT guys are at a loss, and say it is not a network issue and I am starting to agree that this is a RoboHelp issue.
I see there are a few other discussions here related to this kind of poor performance, none of which seem to been answered satisfactorily. For example:
Why does it take so long when adding a new topic in RH10 with PushOK SVN
Does anybody have any ideas on what we can do or what we can investigate? I know that there are options for version control, but am reluctant to pursue them until I am satisfied that our current issues cannot be resolved.
    Thanks Mark

Do other applications work fine with the source control repository? The reason I'm asking is because you must first rule out that there are external factors causing this behaviour. It seems that your it guys have already looked at it, but it's better to be safe than sorry.
I have used both VSS and TFS and I haven't encountered such a performance issue. I would suggest filing it as a bug if you rule out that the problem is not related to external influences: https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform&loc=en

  • Upgrade from Lightroom 5.7 to 6.0 Lightroom becomes extremely slow...

After Upgrade from Lightroom 5.7 to 6.0 Lightroom becomes extremely slow. Especially after using face recognition feature. Switching off GPU acceleration doesn't help. Some note: Hardware specs couldn't be the problem, since 5.7 was reasonably fast (Core i7, Nvidea Quadro 600). Any ideas?

Are you applying a Develop preset in the Import settings? If so try setting it to None:
If the import is still slow try turning of GPU support in LR Preferences:
Please let us know your results here or with a link to your new post. Thank you!

  • Firefox 4 is extremely slow to perform any function on my lap top compared to previous versions. Why? And how do I change this!

Firefox 4 is extremely slow to perform any function on my lap top compared to previous versions. Why? And how do I change this!

Firefox 21 and Firefox 22 running on Windows 7 have been reported to take a long time to "wake up" from sleep. I realize hibernation is different than sleep, but... this is the closest match for your description.
Some users have reported that this problem is resolved in Firefox 23 (currently in beta). Others have had inconsistent luck with minimizing Firefox before letting Windows sleep and other measures.
Please check out this (very long) thread for more information: [https://support.mozilla.org/questions/961898 browser freezes after resuming from sleep]
Or jump to the part about Firefox 23: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/961898?page=3#answer-457321
The fact that this just started recently suggests perhaps it is related to another program or update, but I don't think anyone has confirmed the exact interaction that causes the problem.
