Lightroom 4.3 installation doesnt start

I downloaded LR 4.3, but installation doesn' start.

Like the several previous folks who have also reported this problem, I have been running various versions of LR for years without problem, yet today, when I downloaded the newest release, v4.3, I too run into a major problem -- the download (about 750 Mb) proceeds smoothly and quickly (Verizon FIOS), yet when I click on the exe file that I downloaded, the installer never opens. I hear some minor HD activity, and the little "I'm working" icon appears for about a minute, but eventually, the icon goes away and absolutely nothing happens: no dialog box, no error message, etc.
Currently LR 4.2 is working perfectly.
I have tried things like running as administrator and trying again after re-downloading the 750 Mb file, but nothing helps.
I am using Win Vista Home Premium with 4 gigs of RAM, all the latest Windows updates, two internal 1 Tb HDs and one external USB2 3 Tb drive for my image archives, etc. I am using Norton 360, but I have never had to disable it for any of the previous installations of any program. In fact, when I downloaded the 750 Mb LR 4.3 file, Norton scanned it and blessed it.

I can't install Lightroom 3.2 (German) on my computer (Windows 7 Professional 64-bit).
While copying the extracted program files the following error message appears:
An error occurred during the installation of assembly component {6435B7C0-E0C8-3EA2-91AE-7640034EAFCE}. HRESULT: 0x80070002.
I found out that other users had the same problem, and couldn't find a solution.
Perhaps it is a Microsoft .NET Framework related problem. But after installing .NET Framework 4 nothing changed.

I downloaded the 3.4.1 version and started the installation as administrator. Unfortunately the same error message occured again.
Then I tried to install the 32-bit version (although I prefer a 64-bit program on a 64-bit operating system). A similar error message appeared at the same point of installation progress, but with another combination of numbers and letters in brackets.

If you are getting blank screen after launching Creative Cloud Desktop app then deleting opm.db should help. Please delete all the contents from this location.
C:\Users\abhijiku\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE
If you are getting Error 206 while installing then try to change the connection from LAN to Wifi and vice cersa. You can also try disabling your software firewall if any.

Mac software typically does not run installers on inserting the optical media (CD or DVD.) You have to go inside it and find for the installer application - if you can't find it look through the documentation that came with the camera.

Try a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\) before reinstalling a fresh copy of Firefox.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

IMac doesnt start

My late 2009 21' iMac doesnt start :
as i press the start button, it makes the starting noise and then the usual white screen with the grey apple and the spinning wheel appear. But it stays like this and doesnt move, whereas it usually starts after like 5 sec.

Reinstall OS X without erasing the drive
Do the following:
1. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
2. Reinstall Snow Leopard
If the drive is OK then quit DU and return to the installer. Proceed with reinstalling OS X. Note that the Snow Leopard installer will not erase your drive or disturb your files. After installing a fresh copy of OS X the installer will move your Home folder, third-party applications, support items, and network preferences into the newly installed system.
Download and install the Combo Updater for the version you prefer from support.apple.com/downloads/.

Mythfrontend doesnt start

I launch mythfrontend from terminal and gets this.

There it stops. I have reinstalled both Mythtv and MySQL with no difference. Where can I look for a solution?

I did a completely new installation of my computer. I followed the WIKI guide but I get the same result. Mythfrontend doesnt start. I dont understand. I have had it up and running for almost a year now with very few problems. Are there any diferencies from the previous version.
EDIT. I can start it as root. What has happened?

My pc dont see the mini, itunes doesnt start

Hope to get some feedback, connecting my mini to the usb doesnt work, the computer dont "see" it, iTunes doesnt start up, BUT the mini charges, so there is a connection.
Countless restarts and installations didnt help.
The mini is full of music, i am wondering if doesnt open itunes untill it has transferred the full content through this usb?
I have tried all three usbs, they all work with other harddisks...

Please check the following settings:
If you're trying to connect to a Windows 2003 Server Share:
Go to Server Management tool on the Win 2003 server, unfold 'Advanced management', Click on Computer Management, right click on Shared Folders and click Configure File Server for Macintosh properties. Make sure Authentication is enabled and set to Apple Clear Text or Microsoft.
Secondly you have to go to the Windows Server' control panel (start menu - control panel) then click on Administrative tools - Double click 'Default Domain Controller Security settings' - Unfold 'Local Policies' and select Security Options. Somewhere in that list there is an option called: 'Microsoft Network Server: Digitally Sign communications (always)' double click on that option and disable it.

Had to unplug computer the other day ,as it was blocked and couldnt close down any other way . And since then doesnt start up properly,either takes a long time to start up or just remains with progress bar ,say looking for local discs .
I have it set to turn on automatically at 6.30am and this doesnt work anymore .

The first thing to try would be to reset the PRAM.
Resetting the PRAM and NVRAM.
If that does not improve things then run Repair Disk from your Install CD.
To do this: Insert the Install Disk 1 into the drive and then select Restart; when you hear the chime hold down C key until the apple logo appears.
This will take you to the installation software, but you do not want to install.
Select your language, then go up to the top menu bar to Installer and navigate to the Disk Utility application.
Select the start up drive, then go to the First Aid pane where you can click on Repair Disk.
If it finds errors, repeat the process until it reports no errors.
After these repairs, quit the application, and restart normally.
Once restarted normally run Repair Permissions from the Disk Utility application found on your hard drive in Application/Utilities.

If you have a external USB enclosure - trying installing your hard drive in that enclosure and connect it to your usb port - restart your macbook while holding down the options key. If you Macbook boots to your desktop then you have a faulty cable. If you get the same error, then your hard drive just died on you.
