Lightroom 4 installer missing

Hey there,
i have bought a new PC and now transferring some files from the old one over to the new. The Problem now is, i cant find the lightroom installer file. I bought it online some time ago. is there a chance to get the installer file for LR4 from somwhere ?!?

No need to worry about the disk version. You would just have to install an update anyway as soon as it was installed. Download from the link provided below and use the serial number you have to activate.

Lightroom 5 installation stalls

I have Lightroom 4 and PS CS6, and I just purchased CC for photographers. The first thing I tried to do was install LR 5 from the CC app. It got as far as 47%, then stalled. After 90 minutes, I cancelled the installation, rebooted my computer, and tried again. Same result -- it is now stalled at 47% and has been that way for over 2 hours. I have over 200GB of open disk space, so I don't think that's the problem. I'd appreciate any suggestion as to what to do next. Thanks.

KellyMC I would recommend reviewing the installation logs for the Lightroom 5 installation. You are welcome to post any specific errors you discover to this discussion.

Lightroom 5 installation keeps failing

Lightroom 5 installation keeps failing.
Solution mentioned here doesn't work, because my default installation language is English. The installation process stops and shows there's an error but doesn't actually show the error message. The system language on my laptop is Russian.
I had a trial installed previously and now need to activate it with my Creative Cloud membership but it's been about two weeks since I purchased it and it still doesn't work!

I’m sorry to hear that! Not sure why it worked for me but not for you. I’d like to check the steps you made just to make sure…
What OS or you using?
I removed Lightroom from Creative Cloud. – So there is no error showing.
I downloaded the: Lightroom_5_LS11_win_5_2 from the link.
Unpacked it to the desktop (any folder will do).
Then I navigated to the folder and installed Lightroom_5_LS11_win_5_2.
Re opened CC and clicked install. It then install the 5.3 update.
If you followed all these steps and still have no luck then A, let me know. And B, you may have to wait for Adobe to fix the issue.

There are still more things we can try, so don't give up!

Yes, the Lightroom License agreement is for one user / owner and allows it to be installed on two computers with the provisio that one one is in use at any point in time. It is cross platform PC &/or Mac. You can install/ uninstall as many times you require provided there are only two in existance.

Lightroom Export Presets Missing!

I have tried the restore presets under preferences and doing a repair as an installation option but neither restored Lightrooms presets. I am using V2.6. Any ideas on how I get the Lightroom export presets?

I assume that "OP" is slang for "other person."
I am experiencing two problems:
1. Firstly I am missing presets
a. By presets I mean
                a. keyword presets,
                b. filter presets, and
                c. custom develop presets.
b. "Just missing presets" constitutes a great deal of effort for me, and it should be for you, since it's an issue that has been raised since to LR 2 and has been raise in CS4 as well.
2. I've also lost all my watermarks and am unable to recreate watermarks that actually appear on export files.
For the record I am using LR 3.2 64 bit beta with Windows 7 64 bit
I've been using them for months.
This problem occured yesterday for the first time.
I have backedup, as recommended by LR, several times.
Restores have not helped.
There have not been any recent system updates.
The only plug-in I use is the export to zenfolio.
The watermark problem is not related to the zenfolio plug-in, I have the same issue exporting to hard disk without the plug-in.
The watermark editor does not show the choosen graphic as it last time I checkede (several days ago.)
I don't understand why keysets are not part of the backup...
Are they not part of the catelog?
Feel free to ask me all the questions you want, but please help me resolve this issue.

Lightroom 5 Installation Failed

I recently purchased the Photographers' package which allowed me to install Photoshop CC and Lightroom 5. I didn't install the apps until I received my new Ultrabook a few weeks later. Seeing that this was a fresh system, I had no issues installing Photoshop CC. Lightroom 5 however kept running into failed installations. I kept retrying but everytime it reaches 43%, it fails. The error message is below:
Exit Code: 7
Please see specific errors below for troubleshooting. For example, ERROR:

Windows 7 installation - missing cd/dvd driver

Hello!
First of all i wanted to greet everyone here, as this is my first post on this forum
Now to the problem.
I am happy owner of HP Pavilion dv7-1150ew laptop. It's a good computer, i really like it, but the OS it came with (Vista Home Premium) was temporary from the beginning. I knew from day one i'll install Windows 7 as soon as it becomes available. And the day came. Windows 7 Professional appeared on the MSDNAA site. I downloaded 64-bit version, burned the DVD disc and waited for the weekend to come to do the installation and post-intallation stuff.
So, am i Windows 7 user now? No. I am not. I didn't even get to the installation process The installer boots up flawlessly, i choose language, then i click Install now, wait and... "Missing required CD/DVD drive device driver" message appears. Here's what i tried:
- installing from USB pendrive (formatted the pendrive to NTFS using diskpart, unpacked the iso to pendrive using ultraiso and winrar)
- providing Intel ICH9M/E-M AHCI SATA driver version 8.9 to the installer - it shows the progress bar for a while, then the "No new devices could be found" message appears
- installing 32 bit version
- installing from USB pendrive with DVD drive and secondary harddrive disconnected
- installing to clean harddrive (i dropped both system and recovery partitions)
- updating laptop BIOS
- updating DVD drive firmware
Still the same problem. No required driver, and if i load the Intel SATA driver - no new devices.
The Windows 7 Professional from MSDNAA is at least RTM release, as it has no RC, Beta or whatever next to it.
I googled that others who had this problem solved it by switching SATA controllers from AHCI to IDE mode (or otherwise), but BIOS on the DV7 laptop doesn't have any regarding option.
Does anyone have any ideas? Please?

Lightroom 4 installation problem (windows 7)

Hi, I'm having trouble installing Lightroom 4 on my Dell studio 15 laptop (64 bit-Windows 7, 4 GB RAM). The installer seems to stop after the pop-up saying it is 'extracting Adobe_lightroom4_x64.msi'. The pop-up disappears and nothing else happens. I've tried restarting, uninstalling Lightroom 2, running ccleaner, re-downloading the installer, turning off Microsoft security essentials and the windows firewall, and starting up in safe mode (the latter gives a message saying it can't install in safe mode). What else should I try?

It sounds like for whatever reason the installer isn't able to extract the 64 bit install files. Lightroom comes as one file but it is really just a bundled up archive with both the 32bit and 64bit installers included. When you run it the installer extracts these and then runs the one relevant to your system (in this case it would be the 64 bit installer).
As you have another machine where the install goes ok you could run the installer on this machine, it will extract the install files at which point you should be able to copy those files onto a USB stick or something, take them home and then run the installer directly. Hopefully this should get around the problem that the installer is having extracting the files and allow you to install the program directly.

Windows installer missing??? Satellit A505-S6960

Have had the computer since late August. Used constantly. Yesterday when I turn it on it gave me an error message loading the webcam as well as my malware sweep program.    says itunes is not installed correctly.   Also can't access microsoft word etc.     So I figure I will reinstall and do a sweep. Sounds like possibly a virus.   Can't reinstall because it says my windows installer is missing.
Any clues???

Reinstall what? Exactly which file are you trying to execute?
And please quote the precise error message on a line by itself. We don't care what it "says" - just want the exact string of characters. Spelling counts.
In the meantime, try this. In the Start menu's Search box, carefully type the following line.
   msiexec /unreg
And then type this.
   msiexec /regserver

Lightroom catalogue is missing files!

today when i went into my lr catalogue to view pictures some were missing. This has happened before. so under lightroom on f drive i went into recent lrcat5 backup and clicked twice. This usually restores the missing pictures or entire folder,but not this time. Out of 4700 images their are 501 with the ! mark in small rect. box on upper right of picture. I hit on one of the images and clicked locate the miss file,but could not find them as it said orig. file could not be located. The missing images are not on the f drive. What steps can i take to restore these missing images. No i have not done a backup recently of my images on an ext. hard drive. I don"t know the cause of it as i did my routine post processing in lr5 a few days ago on some of these images and did some work in pe10 and then they were returned to lightroom. Heeelp!! Perplexed! If and what steps to take depends on what happened to the images. LR doesn’t move or delete images without your telling it to.
If the images are on an external drive, perhaps the drive letter changes based on what else is also plugged into your computer.
Were the missing images moved somewhere else? You can use your OS file-searching capabilities to look for them.
Were the missing images deleted? Are they in the trash or recycle-bin?
Do you work with more than one LR catalog? Where you might have done a Move Import in one catalog of the same images that were already in another catalog and so that second import will move the images so that the LR catalog you did the first import to won’t be able to find them.

LightRoom 5 installation failed after downloading

After the downloading proces the installation failled and I got the following error code:

My Lightroom Preferences are missing, where can they be?

In attempting to open LR5 beta, I had to reset preferences, but when I opened the Lightroom file the preferences were missing. The Windows search could not locate them, where have they gone?

Prefernce folder of Lightroom in windows is : C:\Users\[User_Name]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom and C:\Users\[User_Name]\AppData\Local\Adobe\Lightroom

This happens on Mac. I am trying to install LR5 (full version, I paid for it), but the installation quits and tells me that an error occured. The following appears in /var/log/install.log.
