Lightroom 4 - trouble downloading a trial

How do I download a trail of Lightroom 4 - I am using Windows 7 and the screen justs sits on the "download" section ?

Just a tip for the future: If you have to use the regular trial download (e.g. when LR 5.0 is released and there is no update yet), disable all browser plugins concerning privacy, JavaScript, ads, etc. I had the same problem when trying to download the PS CS6 trial using firefox. The solution was to temporarily disable the extensions AdBlockPlus and NoScript completely (just allowing adobe.com in both extensions did not work). Hope this helps...

    I have been trying to download the trial verson of  Lightroom 4 however the download button appears not to be working on the trial download page - When I click on it nothing happens. I checked to see if I was able to download CS6 and Elements and that was fine (I didnt go through with the download) I have tried all the links of the forum that people have suggested but with no success. I have Windows 7 so I dont think thats the porbem, I have allowed pop ups and checked my security - any ideas/ advice would be great as I really want to try the programme before purchasing it.

    Which Web browser are you using ?
    Can you use any different web browser like Firefox, Chrome etc and then check.

    After downloading you need to double click on the downloaded .dmg file to install the software.

    I'm currently trying to download a free trial of Premiere and After Effects, but when the download reaches about 42% it states installation error. I hit RETRY starts downloading at 40% but then hits 42% and states installation error again. I click Learn More and it states; Installation encountered an error. Please restart your system and try again. Can anyone please help with this problem? Thank you in advance!

  • Having trouble downloading InDeisgn trial

    I've gone through all the stages of the Adobe Download Assistant to download InDeisgn CS6 trial and it seems to download fine but then when it finishes downloading and tries to open the program a box comes up on the screen saying 'Warning: The following disk images couldn't be opened: InDesign_8_LS16.dmg - reason: Invalid Checksum
    Can you help please? I'm on a Macbook Pro, version 10.6.8.

    You maybe over to override the checking of the checksum.  You can do this by doing the following:
    Go to Applications/Utilities and open the Disk Utility
    Go to the Disk Utility menu and select Preferences
    Turn off the option to verify checksums
    You should then be able to mount the image.  I would recommend turning this feature back on after the installation is complete.

    When I click download for the trial version of Ai, a window pops up and asks me to choose a program to open link in, Creative Cloud is automatically highlighted, with an option to choose another program underneath. I choose CC and it says downloading, however, it doesn't ever download. I've deactivated my firewall, as well as all other securities. Any ideas on what the problem could be?

    Reinstall the Creative Cloud app and take it from there. Also consider using another browser.

    Could you test with the below 2 steps first?
    1> Install latest AIR runtime(http://get.adobe.com/air/)
    2> With latest AIR runtime installed, re-install AIR applications
    Another guide from colleage:
    1> Make sure you uninstall the AIR application(some drops from the prerelease program of Adobe). 
    2> Install the latest AIR application again.
    The reason is that the same application exported with different certificates, and the new one conflicts with the old one.

    Hello, I recently downloaded a trial version of Lightroom and then decided to get the monthly photoshop membership.  Now, when I launch Lightroom, my choices are to enter a serial number to continue the trial.  On the adobe website, it says "You can convert your trial to a Creative Cloud complete or single-app membership by purchasing on the Creative Cloud website.
