Lightroom 4 working yesterday, crashing today
I am running Lightroom 4.1 on a Mac. Yesterday, it worked just fine. Today, while trying to export photos, it keeps freezing up then crashing. Any ideas why this happened overnight when I haven't changed any of the settings?
If you haven't already, try re-downloading and re-installing, and make sure the installer runs to completion, and is as happy as it can be...
If you already tried that, then consider posting a problem report at:

If there were any windows errors logged, that may be worth including in your report, if you can figure out how, along with the crash info from the "windows is checking for a solution" dialog box.

Hi. I have a Dell PC running Windows 7 64 bit. I have the latest version of Adobe Reader, It worked yesterday. Today I have job training to do that is due tomorrow morning and I can't open PDF files. I have to open a guide and read it and take a test tomorrow. I have deleted and reinstalled the application. I have rebooted. I have made sure my PDF's are associated with the program. I have seen this issue fixed for some users by modifying the following registry key:
The key is "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management" MoveImages
Set the key to 1 instead of 0 then reboot the machine.
In case you still face the issue try the following registry key change:
The only thing you have to do is rename the following key at the REGEDIT, and everything will be fine !!
BEFORE:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\iexplore.exe
AFTER:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\iexplore.old
Note: Please take a backup of the registry before attempting this change.

I just had the same problem. Took the first unit back and the problem is still occuring on the second one. I solved it by setting up again with the USB, but it keeps dropping out every few days.

Does it have a SIM card in it? You get the SIM card from your cellular carrier. Did you update the phone or restore it since it worked last? Where are you and what carrier are you on? Where did you get the phone?
It sounds like the phone may be carrier locked and was previously hacked to work on a different carrier. If it was re-set, it would cause the phone to re-lock to the original carrier. -

IPad Wifi worked yesterday, gone today
I've also had problems with my Wifi connecting. Like others, I've had to reload data, put in passwords repeatedly and after several hours the 1st day, it worked for about 6 hours. Today, it says I'm connected to my network, but no antenna bars shows anywhere, can't get email, etc.
Brand of Router: Netgear WGR614
Does it transmit a Wireless G or N signal or both? G only
Does your iPod Touch/iPhone/Macbook/PC etc connect fine to your router? My PC and all other computers connects fine. IPad does not.
Do you have a password on your Wifi connection? Yes.
If so, what type of encryption do you use? (WPA/WEP etc) WPA
If you disable the password does it fix the issue? NO
If so, do you still lose the wifi (in the top left) but then it reconnects?

After performing the sync yesterday, I deleted my bookmarks on my old computer, because I am going to be giving it to my wife to use and wanted to let her create her own bookmarks. Today, when I opened Firefox on my new computer, all of my favorites had disappeared. Please help! I had all of my business bookmarks on there yesterday, but I need help recovering them.

The Creative Cloud Version of Lightroom does not need a key. Is it possible you have a Trial or previous version of Lightroom installed and that is what you are seeing? If so, uninstall the Lightroom version you have and install it via the Creative Cloud Application.

I am still not able to recovery Aperture and get it to open the library. I really need some help here on what is casuing the issue.
I never got a warning on the library or anything when I shut it down. One day later it won't open. I sent some pictures out via email and looked through one library. There was a warning panel that came up with a bunch of errors from the console APP. Nothing specific.Edge has very clear restrictions, one being that you must have 6 months of clean payment history which you don't. Either wait until April 14, or good luck at Sprint.
I am unsure how it can be determined the payment mix up was the fault of CS, but regardless, the mix up was done. There can be any number of reasons why a payment could be missed without any fault on your part, however you are still the responsible party for the account and must live with the repercussions. -
It still works yesterday
but today every time i plug it in, It will either not appear at all, or say it cannot be read.

iMac, eMac. They sound similar in every language but English! I'll get the Hosts to move this to the eMac section so you don't have to repost.
The good news is we have two eMacs in the family: one the first generation; one the last.
When you get the messages, what ports are you using? It is fairly normal for a flash drive to fail when plugged into a port on the keyboard (low-powered port). If you used a port on the right side of the eMac case, then it should work.
Have you experienced any other odd symptoms with the computer? Unexpected freezes, video defects, or no video, etc? I ask because a fair number of 1.25Ghz eMacs had near-fatal logic board problems. As odd as the symptoms of the logic board problems seemed to be, it would no longer surprise me if it affected USB. If you are seeing other problems than this, I can post a list of serial numbers that Apple said contains the affected computers. -
I'm not a "Cloud" member. I just upgraded to Lightroom 6 from Lightroom 5. All was working well yesterday. Today Lightroom will not open (Windows 7). I see the logo photo over my Lightroom platform but nothing loads and I see "Lightroom not responding." I checked the catalogs and see that lrcat-Journal and lrcat-Lock have been created every time I try to open. I have a backup from the first day I upgraded, but Lightroom doesn't want to access it. Should I reinstall?
Well, is the catalogue (and the folder it is in) writable? Have you actually checked the permissions? Lightroom won't be spitting out the error just to tick you off, and - computer wizard or not - this sounds very much like something you'll have to fix at the OS level: it's probably nothing to do with Lightroom or those funny lads at Adobe.

I made a movie in imovie and uploaded it to youtube fine yesterday. Today I wanted to edit it and add pics and transitions. It made it one minute longer from 4:46 to 5minutes. it crashes when I try to upload...now it is totally gone after all that work. Can I get it back and why is it crashing?

Alas, I have tried that. I have also done this complicated uninstall and reinstall process. I have figured out in my battles with iTunes today that it will open when I am not connected to the Internet but as soon I turn on the wifi and go the iTunes store, iTunes crashes again.

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
