Lightroom 5.3 - MP3 support?

Warum unterstützt LR 5.3 auf einem 32-Bit-System keine MP3-Files?
Wird dieses evtl. geändert bei einem nächsten Update?

It is possible to use mp3 with Lightroom  provided digital rights management is not applicable. If using an mp3 file from iTunes try first, to remove album artwork, then add to a slideshow.

  • Mp3 support in Java

I want to write a decent multi-media player in Java so I can run it on both Linux and Windows. As of yet however, I have not come across any support in Java for the mp3 format. It supports .au and .wav files, but I have yet to see mp3 support. Does anyone have any experience of working with mp3's in Java? I'd appreciate greatly any help.

    Hi,
type "JMF" in the search field and search for it - its the Java Media Framework, a kind of add-on you can use for that.A Media player is provided too by JMF as example application. Have fun ...

  • Lightroom 3 does NOT support raw files for the  Canon Sureshot S95

Have just bought the new Canon Sureshot S95
after contacting Adobe support I am told Lightroom 3 does NOT support raw files for the
    Canon Sureshot S95.
Come on Adobe.....please provide an update asap.

    (1) Well Boss I did what you said and used Canon DPP to convert to TIFFs. Choices are 8-bit TIFF or 16-bit TIFF - I chose 16-bit because part (90% part) of the reason for wanting to work in RAW is to keep the bit depth of teh original. On my EOS 40D it is supposedly 14 bits, which gives great scope to play with the levels & curves without seeing poster effects. If I choose 16 bit TIFF then each S95 image becomes a 70MB file, parallel to my JPEG and RAW.  Hardly a satisfactory solution.
(I realise, however, that I don't actually know the bit depth of the S95 RAW file - anybody? ).
    (2) SUGGESTION-  even if you are adding S95 support to the next update (which I dearly hope), be kinder to those with new cameras in general and allow LR to import JPEGs if it cannot import the RAWs (overriding if necessary the 'ignore JPEG' preference setting).  I am sure users with that preference would still prefer a JPEG than no picture at all!
Since I discovered this compatibility problem, I switched the camera to record RAW+JPEG*. To my great irritation LR3 ignores the JPEGs even though it cannot load the RAWs.  So if I want to import from one supported camera (EOS40D) and one unsupported camera (S95) I have to keep going into preferences to switch on and off the 'ignore JPEG' function.

    *  (this seems to be a setting that needs doing in the various different modes of the camera, by the way).

I'm starting a new project that requires MP3 support.
What is the support of MP3 using JMX in Windows and
Solaris with the Enhancement Pack. Can I decode it?
Can I encode it?I am not entirely sure, but I have been working on some
webstart examples of launching the Performance Pack
    versions of JM Studio(1) & JMF Registry(2).

I expect (OK hope) the second can tell you what
it supports for Solaris - particularly for the mime-types,
e.g. for the Windows PP, it looks like this..

  • H264 and mp3 support in VLC needed ? streaming.ffmpeg

I have found that I need to VLC (video-lan-client) with mp3 support so I used the cvs version of ffmpeg in the  AUR packages but this doesn't seem to support H264 video.
How do I add H264 support to the PKGBUILD so I can have both. ?
Any help greatly appreciated I can stream H264 with current version of ffmpeg but no audio
Then with the ffmpeg-cvs no audio or video.
This is the same if I am streaming or playing locally.
    Cliff

You'll need to install GPAC in order to build ffmpeg with H264 support. I don't believe it compiles properly without it. I couldn't find gpac in any of the repositories or AUR so your best best would be to write a pkgbuild yourself or make a request for  someone in the AUR request forum to do it for you.

Releases are about four times a year.  Support is nearly always added in the next release.  Exceptions are if the camera is released just before a release where the code is already finished or if the sensor is unusual and requires additional development.  The camera to which you are referring was announced just at the wrong time.  Period.
If these idioitic camera makers would just adopt DNG, support would be there instantly with no required work from Adobe.
    Release dates:
    2012-02-07 Nikon D800
    2012-02-08 E-M5
    2012-03-02 Canon 5Dmark III
    D800 and 5dMarkIII includes now and E-M5 not ¿?
Those are announcement dates, not release dates.

  • MP3 support for applets

    Dear gurus of the forum,
I am a computer science student planning to create a website and considering the use of applets on it. On my previous website I used [Sound Manager 2|http://www.schillmania.com/projects/soundmanager2/] to play MP3 sounds. SM2 is a tiny flash program and has been a breeze to use. However, if I am to build decent applets, I'd prefer to somehow use MP3 support in Java, so users won't be required to have both Java and Flash installed.
I am a very basic Java programmer, but I know enough to get me started. However, thus far I have only been able to discover that Java supports .au sounds and more recently .wav and .aiff (which doesn't ring a bell). I have also found some MP3 player applets. However, the various old and new resources confuse me greatly on this subject.
    My question is rather simple:
Is there any lightweight option to add basic support to play MP3 files in an applet? I do not need a player with buttons and whatnot, just classes with methods to use in my applet.
I can only hope someone here may be able to help me out here or send me in the right direction.
    Thanks in advance,
    Dysprosium

    Hi Andrew,
no wonder you have 5,7?? posts.... you're just posting all day ha.... I wonder how many of those posts were actually useful,
anyways, I think that your place is somewhere in English Grammar forums or so 'cause that's all you know about...
There is no mention of that on the linked page. Can you produce a link that supports that statement?instead of wandering around, just do something really simple like googling android java platform, and RTFM from there on...
No. You think that.yes, I think, and as you can see in this reply I have some more thoughts about you !
.. then WHY DOESN'T ORACLE DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT ????? 1) There is no need to SHOUT at us.
    2) One '?' denotes a question, whereas 2 or more typically denotes a bozo.
yes well, I've already said that you're great at gammar issues, way to go.
    >
So maybe it is because Sun ignores shouting bozos. More likely it is because Sun staff do not trawl the forums looking for problems. That is what the [Bug Database|http://bugs.sun.com/] is for.
that's the first (and last) valuable information I got from you, you could have just replied with these two lines, or even make it shorter and just redirect me to the link, save electronic space, you're wasting it as if it was yours.
AFAIU neither Flash nor Java will be supported on iPad, so there is a new source of worry for you.who talks about iPad, dude, start getting into shape with your reading comprehension, though your grammar level is great ! Oh, and You need to start worrying my friend, you might know Java but start working on your English skills quickly...
I'm talking about Google's Android, Apple's Iphone, Windows Mobile and Nokia's Symbian.
oh, and don't bother increasing you post number by replying to this one with some more useless info.
    thanks a lot

  • Lightroom 5.3 Raw support Canon 70d

Does Lightroom 5.3 FULLY support Canon 70d raw?

Support for the 70D was listed as preliminary in Lightroom 5.2RC (Release Candidate) in July 2013.
    http://blogs.adobe.com/lightroomjournal/
Lightroom has fully supported the 70D since Lightroom 5.2 was finally released in Sep 2013.
    The current version is 5.3.
Note: tethered capture is not yet supported.

  • WaveStudio 7.12 (and/or Audio Pack for MP3 Support) product Help files

WaveStudio 7.2 product Help files (CTWAVE32.CHM) need to be revised to incorporate MP3 support, for those customers (like me) who have purchased the Audio Pack app for MP3 Support.
    -OR-
Am I supposed to?just use the old WaveStudio 5.00.2 Help files (CTWave32.hlp)?
Also, there doesn't seem to be any way of uninstalling WaveStudio 5.00.2, unless I uninstall the whole suite of Creative MediaSource software... And that doesn't seem like very much fun at all... ? So, what, should I just leave WaveStudio 5.00.2 on the machine?

JRe: WaveStudio 7.2 (and/or Audio Pack for MP3 Support) product Help files? For anyone else experiencing this issue, the answer is:? Can't do it!? WaveStudio 5.00.20 can not be removed as a "stand-alone" application. The reason is, it's not listed as a separate program in Control Panel's Add or Remove Programs, and WaveStudio 5.00.20 has no Uninstall option.
Furthermore, WaveStudio 7.2 doesn't seem to overwrite the earlier version (it's still there and for some odd reason, it still works).
In order to remove the old version of WaveStudio, you must remove whichever Creative application that version of WaveStudio came bundled with.? Then, when you reinstall that application, WaveStudio 3.0 (or whatever iteration that application contained)?comes right back.
Therefore, the answer seems to be, you have to?li've with two versions of WaveStudio on the 'puter:? 7.2?and whatever earliest version the original bundled software?came with on the Soundblaster disc. Sad, but apparently true!? So, good day!? :smileytongue:

  • Sdl_mixer and mp3 support

Just wondering:  I've been messing around with jdoom, which uses sdl_mixer for music playback, and I found that the extra/sdl_mixer hasn't been compiled with mp3 support.  I've rebuilt the package to suit my needs.  Is this an oversight or is there a method to this madness?

  • IPhone - Who has MP3 support working?

I'm at a loss trying to get mp3 support working. And I'm very surprised they don't have a sample app for it. Right now I'm tweaking some code from the audio recorder sample. But when I'm trying to playback my sample MP3, it seems to work fine, but there is no sound. Anyone have sample code working with MP3's?
So far caf files have been working fine for my small sound effects. But I have a short sound bit that is too long for the system audio. And as a aiff/caf file its too big so I want to distribute it as an MP3.

    http://www.idevgames.com/forum/showthread.php?t=15280
FYI, you can only play one MP3 at a time, so I suggest using MP3s for background music, and wavs or cafs for short sounds.
    HTH.

  • FME & mp3 Support

    Hello,
I am looking for a version of Flash Media Encoder that will
allow me to utilize the mp3 audio aspect instead of NellyMoser.
Where can I get my hands on a version that does this. I will
willing to drop $100 into the paypal account of whomever leads me
in the right direction to get this working. We need this ASAP as we
have begun broadcasting live using FME, but are not able to play
any music due to what nellymoser does to the audio.
    Thanks

I have searched all over google and been to the end of the
internet and back again and have still not been able to find a beta
version hat supports mp3. My processor can handle it as it is a
quad core with 4gigs of ram. Can you point me in the right
direction of finding this version with mp3 support?

  • Help! I need a Lightroom version that both supports  a Canon 1DX and Windows XP. Hurry!

I currently use Lightroom 2.7 on my desktop and 2.6 on my laptop.I just got a Canon 1DX, which is supported by neither. I went to donwload a trial version of Windows 4, only to discover it won't work on an XP machine.
Hopefully, somebody has an answer in short order, as I fly out of the country in little more than 12 hours.

You can convert the RAW files to Adobe DNG format using the free Adobe DNG converter
    http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5519
You can then work on the DNG files in LR2.7.

  • Lightroom 3 and tethered support...

I work with many professionals on a daily basis and more and more find they like Lightroom.  The workflow is smooth and intuitive and the features are useful and effective.   The most common complaint however, is the lack of direct tethered support.  Reading John Nack's forums some time ago it was noted that the 'Import' feature was an effective workflow.  I couldn't disagree more and many many pro shooters fault Adobe for not being able to use the app in a studio environment.  Are we finally going to see direct tethered support in Adobe Lightroom 3?  Workarounds and plugins are less than ideal.

    carson.jones wrote:

Well, what exactly would you be willing to pay for this functionality? Now, take it for granted that simply clicking a mouse button to fire the camera and make a capture ain;t enough...I shoot with a Phase One 6x4.5 camera and a Phase One P65+ back. Just clicking the shutter doesn't interest me all that much. I want to be able to set the F stop and shutter speed as well as ISO on the camera. It would also be nice to be able to adjust the user preferences for custom functions and be able to set up and fire a whole series of either HDR brackets or a series of focus brackets...
Is this the sort of functionality your pro would expect/want?
Then you are in for a world of hurt...
The system level support for thee functions are a big investment of engineering support per camera. Exactly which cameras would you expect this sort of support for? Pro level cameras? Mid-level cameras? ALL cameras? Camera Raw/Lightroom support over 230 cameras at this stage (more cameras added each version).
Do you expect this professional level support to be free? What would you pay for this? What would the pros you work with it be willing to pay? Did I mention this would be a massive engineering effort? What features in Lightroom 3 would you be willing to give up to get this sort of hardware support in Lightroom?
Just asking cause what you are asking for has some pretty massive ramifications...

  • Any idea when Lightroom 4 will have support for the new Canon 5D Mark III?

I have a new Canon 5D Mark III.  When can we expect support for this camera in Lightroom 4?

It's already in the DNG converter that's posted along with ACR 6.7 Beta.  That indicates probably the next version.
