Lightroom 5.6 does not run following latest CC Photoshop 2014 and Bridge updates
I am running Creative Cloud Photography on OSX 10.9.4. Yesterday I updated Photoshop 2014 and Bridge using the CC desktop app as prompted by CC. Since then Lightroom does not run. When I open it the blue intro screen flashes up for less than a second. To try and recover I have uninstalled Lightroom (5.6) and re-installed it several times using both the CC app and directly from the Adobe website. The result is always the same. I can find nothing about this on Adobe Support although I can find others who have had the same symptoms on a web search. Their solution was to re-install Lightroom from the web site but that hasn't worked for me. I had Lightroom installed before I went to CC and before CC included Lightroom in the Photography package. Does anyone understand this issue and can you please advise me what to try next? Many thanks.
Okay, Solution 1 from this link Error "Unable to start correctly - 0Xc00007b" fixed it for me. But now it's asking me for the serial number which I can't find anywhere... shouldn't that go without with the cloud?

You will be okay, but make sure you update to iTunes 10.5. Otherwise the iPhone update will not be available.

You haven't actually asked a question, but as stated you should only download Flash Player directy from Adobe.
Nor have you said what version of OS X and Safari you are running.

Note that version 10,1,102,64 is the last version available to PPC Mac users*. The latest version,10.3 or later, is for Intel Macs only, as Adobe no longer support the PPC platform. OS X Mavericks 10.9.3 Does Not Run Smoothly
Hi,
I just upgraded my iMac and MBP from the Mac OS X ML 10.8.5 to the latest OS X Mavericks 10.9.3.
The new system does not run smoothly.
No matter it's the iMac or the MBP, the screen freezes for a very short of time whenever I try to switch to a different running program(especially when I try to switch to other programs from the Safari).
So what's causing the problem? What should I do about it?

EdLaunch the Console application in any of the following ways:

Javaee6 sample does not run on remote GF 3.1
I installed javaee6 with samples:

I can run "automatic-timer" sample properly, when GF 3.1 runs on localhost.
If GF 3.1 runs on a remte host.
I set the remote GF 3.1 in bp-project/build.properties:

and changed "/etc/hosts" file:
1) commented out the "internal" IP addresses in the first two lines
2) and added a the external IP address
#127.0.0.1 localhost
#127.0.1.1 lennyserver
192.168.0.202 lennyserver
The following lines are desirable for IPv6 capable hosts
::1 localhost ip6-localhost ip6-loopback
fe00::0 ip6-localnet
ff00::0 ip6-mcastprefix
ff02::1 ip6-allnodes
ff02::2 ip6-allrouters
ff02::3 ip6-allhosts
Now the InitialContext.lookup() can find the bean. -
List of games that are not running correctly or does not run in ICS update
I hope to start a list for apps (esp games) that does not run after the ICS update.
Kindly list the game name along with the error. Hopefully its not off topic.Since many of us having issues with gaming [both HD and Non-HD] after updating to ICS, so i decided to share a little bit of info regarding gaming performance in ICS.
For the gaming troubles we are not yet sure whom to blame? SONY, ICS or the Game developer.
1. Few game developers said that their 3D engine is not yet compatible with ICS.
2. No response from Google yet.
3. Sony was suppose to update their Graphics driver [Adreno] in ICS, so we were expecting better gaming experience, but in reality it declined. [Hoping to solve in 4.0.4, if SONY releases]
Remember Gaming performance and experience can be different depending on device, application version etc. Results stated below may not be same for all.
Few Gaming updates from different users:
# Angry Birds Space : For some it worked/some not working [Worked for me]
# Temple Run : Touch Control issues [ Game Developers said that their 3D engine is not yet compatible with ICS]
# Fruit Ninja: Some reported it lags. The speed of movement is slow.
# Asphalt 6HD : Works but some weird lines appears in the screen.
# NOVA 2 HD : Runs for 2-3 mins then force closes.

# Dead Space : Working well till now.
# MW3: Working.
# Fifa 12 : Not working for me.

Now it was advised that you must use the latest version of the games available in Google play store. The version worked in Gingerbread may not work in ICS. So it is recommended that you download the latest version of the games you want to play in ICS.
**Before Downloading you can also contact the developers if the games has any compatibility issues with ICS or not.

Simple Operational Profile and Plan does not run against agent
So i'm attempting to use the Operational Profile function of Ops Center to extend some functionality which it does not have (set up bonded interfaces during build process of OL 6.x)
However my script is having issues it never seems to run as a remote shell. So I simplified it, and broke my script down to simply

And it still failed to run.
I've poured over the documentation, my script runs fine when manually incanted from the command line.
I've attempted following https://blogs.oracle.com/oem/entry/ops_center_using_operational_profiles but as you can see even my simple of simple plans does not run, let alone anything more complex.

On my CC drop down menu why is it only Lightroom app that does not have CC
I have historically used Lightroom as a single purchased product and recently I purchased Creative Cloud.
As a new user I am very unfamiliar with things but I noticed On my Creative Cloud drop down menu containing a list of all my apps I noticed that each of my apps conclude with CC at the end.

Nothing to worry about. It's the same for everyone and it's normal.
Lightroom does not follow the Cloud version numbering (yet). It's always had its own version numbering.
When the Cloud was first released there was no Lightroom included.
Adobe added Lightroom to the Cloud later but never added CC to the numbering. So yet another layer of confusion was added to the versioning of Cloud software.
There are now two distinct versions of Lightroom:
Lightroom 5.6 (perpetual license, does not include Lightroom Mobile)
Lightroom 5.6 (Cloud which includes Lightroom Mobile) -

When I try to run the ...app, I get the message that the main class is not specified, etc.
When I try to run the ...jar, I do not get the message that the main class is not specified, but I do get the message that there is no Manifest section for bouncycastle, etc.

I do specify the main class in both, the Manifest file and the Info.plist file, in the correct way, "package.MainClass". Is there another place where I need to specify it?
Why do I need org/bouncycastle/asn1/DEREnumerated.class, and how would I have to specify it in Manifest?

SSIS Job deployment does not run my .exe but is described as a success
Hi i have scripted a simple script task in c# to run an exe with the following code
Process.start(filename.exe);
i have also tried using the 'Execute Process task' in the SSIS toolbox.
both methods work when i debug.
However when deployed to the SQL server as a job, the jobs are described as a success but my program does not run?!
The exe file is published from SQL visual studio and the resultant filename is setup.exe which i am trying to run.
Any help pleasE?
I am not using any shared file resources, the setup.exe is on my desktop.this is all i get

Setup.exe file does not run after the download
So that we may better diagnose DOWNLOAD problems, please provide the following information.
- Server name East
- Filename All the disks, 1 through 3, have been downloaded and extracted.
- Date/Time Aug 7, 2002

- O/S + Version
- Error Msg
I am unable to run the setup.exe file in Disk1 directory. I think we need more information on how to install the server. Please help us ASAP.I found out that besides setting the library, I should also set the classpath.
I tried to set the classpath by setting the environment variable CLASSPATH: path1.jar; path2.jar; path3.jar.
I also tried to set it with the command prompt:
CLASSPATH = path1.jar; path2.jar; path3.jar.
But when double clicking on my .exe file, it still does not run and I still get the NoClassDefFoundError.

Trial version LightRoom 5.2 does not launch
Downloaded and installed with no issues, when I try to lauch the application I get a pop-up screen "Lightroom.exe - Application Error", "the application could not start correctly (0xc000007b).
I'm using Windows 7 64bit.

The error usually comes up if the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable dll gets corrupted.
Please download the dll files from the following location (in solution 1) : http://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/error-unable-start-correctly-0xc00 007b.html
and Extract the package contents to the following location: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Lightroom\
If this does not work then you can follow the steps mentioned in Solution 2 of the above mentioned KB. -
Applescript run from Mail rule does not run
I am attempting to run an Applescript from a Mail rule. Basically, the Applescript does not run.
Stripped to the bare essentials, the following script runs fine when Applying a rule in Mail:

as well as this one:

the script does not even say Hello.
I am trying to go as far as having the Applescript create a new ToDo based on specific incoming emails, but I can't get any but the simplest Applescript to run.

TomThe script works just fine - at least, as designed if not as expected.
When the script runs, Mail and/or AppleScript looks for a perform mail action handler. If that is found, the commands within are executed.
If there is no perform mail action handler then the script is run as-is (i.e. as if you clicked 'Run' in AppleScript Editor).
And that's exactly what's happening here. In the first case (that works) the script is running because there's no (visible) perform mail action handler.
In the second case where it apparently doesn't work, there is a handler, so that handler is being executed. Any code outside that handler is ignored (unless it's called from within the perform mail action handler.
Since your 'say' command is outside the handler, it is ignored. However, if you move it inside the perform mail action handler you'll hear your speech.
