LIghtroom 5 download difficulty

I downloaded the Windows version of Lightroom 5 for student and teachers. (I currently have Lightroom 3.6 64bit.) I clicked on the .exe file and got the following message: Lightroom 5_LS11.exe is not a valide win32 application. Any suggestions?

Download it again using another browser and verify the system requirements - LR5 won't run on Win XP or Win Vista.

I have been unable to download trial version of Lightroom 5 from Adobe site. I have disabled pop up blocker as requested but no joy. Any ideas? (I already have the full version of Lightroom 4 installed on my PC. Operating system is Windows 7).

What is happening, is there no enabled download button, or are you clicking but the download doesn’t even start, or does the download start but then abort partway through or what?
Try a different browser: IE, IE-compat-mode, FireFox, Chrome, etc. Adobe seems to have difficulty supporting all browser types in the overly-complicated things they do as part of the download process.

While mine wasn't specifically with lightroom (it was with illustrator), but I found my problem to be that my internet application would quit the download after 599mb. Thus, I would have a corrupt file. Everything on my computer is up to date. I installed the downthemall addon for firefox and was able to complete my 1.5gb download for illustrator. An annoying hiccup, but like ArunPrasad said, this issue can occur because of many reasons.

I'm experiencing the same exact problem. I thought the Adobe CC Photographers package was supposed to provide us with automatic updates? This is not a good user experience, and I hope that Adobe will remedy it soon.

I need to locate where the Lightroom 5 download file was downloaded to.

I recently purchased Lightroom 5 (not the subscription version/cloud version). I am in the process of moving all of my original program downloads to an external USB hard drive for back up and to free up space on my laptop's internal hard drive. I do not know where Adobe downloaded the program on my hard drive. Can anyone please provide this information so that i can complete my project? The reason that I just don't worry about it, and should the need ever arise that I need to reinstall Lightroom is that my internet connection is not that fast and Lightroom is a very big download.

Lightroom 5 download issue!

I Have a mac computer and im trying to download the free trial but when i click on the file in the downloads i keep getting this: "Couldn't open "Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.pkg". and it stating it can not be completed. Is it not compatable with my mac book pro?
Or is it because i have lightroom 2 on my computer not and its causing an issue?
Should i delet light room two and try to reinstal it aging?
Im normaly a pretty computter savy person but this just seem to be not working!

Adobe does not sell it. You may be able to find one for sale on Amazon, but be careful you are buying from Amazon not somewhere that is just selling pirated software.
Is there a reason you can’t run Mavericks, which I think it a free upgrade?

Also, ensure javascript is enabled, and turn off pop-up blockers.
If none of these work, try downloading from Softpedia or similar.

I purchased Lightroom on Amazon for my Mac. The program downloads but it will not open. I have been back and forth with for almost a year on this and I really need this fixed.

uninstall it and its settings using the adobe uninstaller.

You can just continously click the download button and nothing happens.

No. Nothing being blocked. Just no response when I click the Download button. No issues with downloading other EXE files.

Lightroom 5 Download file faulty

Downloaded a trial of lightroom two days ago, but it won't work. I have only just bought a Mac so do not understand how it works so looking at the work arounds is useless. If I leave downloading again for a few day is this fault going to be rectified. The other problem is I cannot get a clean uninstall of the faulty one. There is no unistall where it should be I presume because it has not installed properly.
I have lightroom on Windows seven and it appears to be OK on there.

Its a new mac Mini i7 mountain lion 10.8, this is the same fault as mentioned elswhere, have tried the suggested rememdies apart from setting up a new profile which I don't know how or want to do. About a month old. Its a good job I have Windows seven on bootcamp or else this would be the most useless computer I have ever bought. Everything including windows version of Lightroom 5 function Perfectly. I will download the link to the problem.
