  • Lightroom Download Error?

I've been trying for days to download Lightroom and Photoshop I recently purchased with Creative Cloud, but everytime I begin download, at 41% it will extract files, and then either wait for eternity and stop, resume until 84% and freeze, or install with the following message. I am at a loss and can not seem to figure out how to make Lightroom succesfully download on my PC

  • Download error in (osx) adobe desktop app (corrupted download link).

Here is a discription of the problem. Please consider that some of the wording might not be correct, as I do have to translate the error message from German into English.
Using OSX 10.9.2, when clicking inside the adobe desktop app (top of the screen bar) on the tap "apps", the following screen (screenshot) appears, which states, translated from top to bottom:
    download error
    download error. Please contact support.
    (link) contact support
(link/button) download creative cloud -> This button unfortunatly leads to the following error page "http://www.adobe.com/special/errorpages/404.html"
All apps, like Bridge, Photoshop, Lightroom, etc. are installed and work just fine. So no problem here. I seem however unable to redownload the desktop app (in order to reinstall). As stated above the provided link inside the desktop app itself is coruppted and within the (online) web-based download centre (user logged in) I am only adviced to use the desktop app. This is a dead end and I do not know what to make of this error, let alone solving it. Please help!

I am sorry Romsinha but this doesn't really help.
I already restarted the desktop app and while I am obviously online and connected the problem (error message) remains the same. Information within the "home" tap is recieved/loaded  (little blue spinning wheel) stating that various apps recently have been updated. Yet the same loading wheel within the "apps" tap results in an error. My best guess is that some internal link within the app is corrupted, leading to a source on a server that can not be reached.
    UPDATE
I clean uninstalled adobe creative cloud as discribed in the article you provided (using the cleaner tool) and even uninstalled the browser plugin. After downloading and reinstalling creative cloud the problem however remains the same. "Apps" tap still shows the same problem. "Home" tap now displays the following:

  • The 'Apps' tab in my Creative Cloud Desktop app shows a Download Error

I have tried uninstalling, downloading, and reinstalling Creative Cloud Desktop and continue to get the Download Error prompt.  It either shows the Download Error prompt or it continues to just think and think and think.  All the other tabs work normally. I've also signed out and signed in of my CC account multiple times . . . with the same outcome.
All of this started after I had updated all the available updates . . . I was also looking to install Lightroom CC.

You may try providing full permissions to Adobe folders under ~/library/Application Support and /library/Application Support.
Then launch Creative Cloud app and try loading Apps list
    Still same ?
    Try below steps :
    1)
Launch Activity Monitor and "Force Quit" all the process related to Adobe like Creative Cloud, CoreSync, AAMupdater, AAMupdater notifier, Adobe Crash demon from Activity monitor.
    2)
Click on the Finder and look for the options listed next to Apple Icon located at the top left corner of the Desktop screen and click on "Go" menu button and select "Utilities" option.
    (Applications>Utiliites)
Locate Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Application Manager folder under Utilities window and trash both folders.
    3)
Trash Adobe Creative Cloud from Applications well.
    4)
    1) Right click on Finder icon and  select "Go-ToFolder " option.
    2) You will get a text box, type-in below command and then hit 'Return' key.( Do not miss ~ symbol)
    ~/library
    3)Then navigate to Application Support>Adobe.
Open Adobe folder and trash folders named AAMUpdater and OOBE.
    5)
    1) Right click on Finder icon and  select "Go-To" Folder option.
    2) You will get a text box, type-in below command and then hit 'Return' key.
    /library

  • Windows 8 Upgrade - 64-bit version of Lightroom -application error 0xc000007b

I've just upgraded my Desktop PC from the 64-bit Windows 7 operating system to 64 bit Windows 8 Pro. The migration has gone very smoothly, with justone exception - Adobe Lightroom 64-bit version 4.2 won't start up. As soon as I try to open the application it comes up with an error code of 0xc000007b.
Searching the web I've seen a number of suggestions which I've tried to to avail...
    - uninstal, restart and then reinstall Lightroom. Same 0xc000007b error
    - uninstal, restart, run ccleaner to clear registry issues, restart, download the latest version of Lightroom from Adobe website (4.2.1) and then reinstall Lightroom. Same 0xc000007b error
As a workaround I found that uninstalling Lightroom 64-bit and reinstalling the 32-bit version (by selecting the setup32.exe program, rather than using the install Lightroom 4.exe program) gives me a working copy of Lightroom again. This does however mean I'm using the the 32-bit version of Lightroom, rather than 64-bit version that I had working before the upgrade to Windows 8.
Why am I getting the 0xc00000fb problems with the 64-bit 4.2.1 version of Lightroom and how can I resolve the issue so I can go back to the 64-bit version that I had working in Windows 7 immediately before upgrading to Windows 8?
    Thanks for suggestions!

Based on user suggestions and feedback we have updated our documentation on this issue with some new solutions.

  • Download error and installation

I have the creative cloud installed. Last week I was able to download both Lightroom and Photoshop to my desktop using the creative cloud desktop application. This week when I use the CC desktop app, I'm getting a message that says simply "Download Error. Please contact customer support." I uninstalled the CC app and reinstalled it, and I'm still getting this message. What should I do?
Also, I'm about to go out of the country and won't always have internet access. I want to make sure that I have lightroom, photoshop, and illustrator available to use on my computer even while I'm without internet. How can I make sure I've downloaded the programs and will have them while I'm abroad? Do I need to register them somehow? How do I do that if I don't have a serial number, but I do have a creative cloud membership ID?
    Thank you,
    Jamie

Without proper system info and other technical details nobody can help you. The programs function offline once installed properly - for a while, anyway. Whatever technical issues you have will require much more information and a better explanation on your part.

  • Application Manager "download error" even after using Cleaner Tool

I have Creative Cloud working on my primary computer and am trying to get it going on my laptop, a MacBook Pro on which I just installed Mountain Lion OSx.
I have not been able to install the Adobe Application Manager to start some software downloads. I get a window that pops up after the installer starts that says "Download Error. Contact Customer Support", then a button below that says "QUIT".
After reading a few posts about this, I tried the Cleaner Tool and restarted the computer.
After restart, I get the same problem and am not sure what to do next.
I am logged into Creative Cloud.
    Any ideas?

I had edge, photoshop, illustrator, dreamweaver and lightroom on my laptop - (this is my 2nd computer - most apps are on my desktop system)
I uninstalled all of those and deleted Applications/Utilities/Adobe Application Manager folder then I downloaded and reinstalled the application manager then tried to downlad the appd from my Creative Cloud account - it gives me the same error
before I deleted - I did try downloading Audition as a trial and then sign in on my CC account and it gave me that same error
march 1 - I tried to download a trial version on Photoshop - it will not download to my applications folder - due to "restrictive access privledges"
thought it might have to do with security preferences - changed to allow all - and it still will not download...
also tried to update Adobe Story and it also errored
so can't load any adobe apps to my laptop -
have tested on my desktop with same account and it works fine

  • All I get is message "Download Error" Contact customer support. That contact is apparently impossible!!!!!  Could be Mavericks 10.9.3. everything worked until recently.

If I try to download anything now,  I get message "Download Error - Contact customer support."  I have Mavericks 10.9.3 on my Mac.  Up till recently I had downloaded Photoshop and Illustrator and Lightroom 5.  Now I am getting nothing for my money.  Rostov

  • Lightroom: "An error occurred when attempting to change modules."

I'm a first time Lightroom(via the Cloud) user (used Capture One before this) and just downloaded it today. The first thing I saw was this error message
"An error occurred when attempting to change modules."
I've updated it to 4.3 and I've tried all the other recommendations I found here:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/error-changing-modules-lightroom.html
I don't know what Nik products are but I don't believe I have any.
    I'm on a Mac running 10.6.8
Removed this preference file I found here:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/preference-file-locations-lightroom-4.html
So frustrating! Please, can anyone help me???

I can only quote from the webpage that you already visited RE: Permission.
You need to have full permission for reading and writing for the folders and drives that Lr is using - particularly the folder that contains the catalog (i.e. the database Lr is working with).
If you have full permission try re-installing Lr. Un-install it via your OS. And re-install it.
Also, occasionally downloaded programs can become damaged during download - for instance when the download has been interrupted.
Before you re-install, I'd recommend that you download Lr again and use this second download for re-installation.
From the webpage (particularly read the part about Macs):
Solution 5: Set correct permissions on Lightroom folder inside Application Support
The Lightroom folder inside Application Support could have the wrong permissions preventing Lightroom from writing to it which can cause this error.
Navigate to the following folder: /Users/[user name]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom
Highlight the Lightroom folder and chose File > Get Information
Under Sharing & Permission, verify that your have Read & Write Privileges. If not, click the padlock icon at the lower right, enter your password when prompted, then click the Read only entry and select Read & Write.
Important: (Mac OS) Apple made the user library folder hidden by default with the release of Mac OS X 10.7. If you need access to files in the hidden library folder to perform Adobe-related troubleshooting, see How to access hidden user library files.
Solution 6: Try a different user account.
Copy the Lightroom folder into a new user account or other existing account on your computer. Then, restart Lightroom. The Lightroom folder is in the following locations:
    Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\[user name]\Application Data\Adobe\
    Windows 7, Vista: [user name]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\
    Mac OS: [user name]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/
Important: (Mac OS) Apple made the user library folder hidden by default with the release of Mac OS X 10.7. If you need access to files in the hidden library folder to perform Adobe-related troubleshooting, see How to access hidden user library files.

  • Lightroom download from Adobe site stops after 327mB instead of 744MB. Can someone help?

lightroom download from Adobe site stops after 327mB instead of 744MB. Can someone help?

try a different browser and/or different wired connection and/or a download manager.
    or
if you follow all 7 steps you can directly download a trial here: New Adobe Lightroom 6 (CC) Direct Download Links – Free Trials | ProDesignTools  or  New Adobe Lightroom 5: Direct Download Links + Difference vs. LR4 | ProDesignTools or Direct Download Links for Lightroom 3 and Photoshop Elements 8 | ProDesignTools
and activate with your serial number.
if you have a problem starting the download, you didn't follow all 7 steps, or your browser does not accept cookies.
the most common problem is caused by failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com).
failure to obtain that cookie results in an error page being displayed after clicking a link on prodesigntools.com or initiates the download of an incorrect (eg, current) version.

  • "Download Error" - Can't download/install any programs.

I downloaded CC on my Win 8.1 machine (after a windows crash and upgrade to 8.1).  Previously it was working fine (on Win 8).  Now the CC desktop app connects to my account but the Apps tab has a red exclamation error and when you click the tab it says "Download Error."  and to "Please contact customer support."  (See below:)
Apparently this seems to be a prevalent issue as I see multiple threads and support requests with this same error.
I got on Chat and followed all the troubleshooting advice, uninstalled, reinstalled, used the Removal tool, deleted folders from the AppData locations, everything.  Finally was getting ready to do something else and the Adobe server disconnected my chat session.
I know it is not MY internet connection because everything else is up and running fine, including streaming radio progams and other chat programs.
I tried visiting something on Adobe's siteand received the following error:
So what is going on Adobe?  I need to get my programs back so I can get back to work.
Edited to add - After another hour of being on chat support I got disconnected again.  Same error:  "Sorry, we're having technical difficulties."

So after four hours and dozens of troubleshooting issues, I figured out what was wrong.  I am on a fixed-wireless system at home.  I have used this same system and network setup in the past for CC.  My average DL speeds are 2.0 Mbps.  Not super fast but it has worked in the past.  On the 3rd or 4th chat session I was told that you can't use wireless with CC and I need to be on a fixed wired connection.  Finding that as rediculous as possible, I decided to test my network.  I logged off and used my AT&T CELL PHONE as a hotspot (which gets me about 4.0 Mbps download speeds, albeit with a higher ping) and VIOLA the Apps tab is there and I can download programs.

  • Download Error on Mavericks (mac)

When I go to the Creative Cloud application on the desktop, I go to the Apps tab and I get "Download Error" and when I try to reload the application, the error persists.
I'm on a macbook running Mavericks, I've deleted the AAMUpdater (though it creates a new one every time I reload the applications) folder in ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe...  As per Re: Creative Cloud "Download Error" message , I looked in the OOBE folder and there was no opm.db, just a singe folder alias called "PDApp," which contained a pim.db, along with a bunch of other folders and files.
When I enabled the root user and logged into that account after restarting, I tried the Apps tab again and it was working just fine, in the root user.  But when I logged out and back into my regular account, I was still getting the download error.  I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Creative Cloud and that didn't work. I have Photoshop and Fireworks installed, so it WAS working at some point in time... I'm out of ideas...  Help please?
