Lightroom 5 isn't available in Creative Cloud app manager

LR5 doesn't show up in my list of applications available for Creative Cloud.
I have the trial edition of CC. Before the trial edition I downloaded and installed LR5 trial. I read in the LR/Cloud troubleshooting FAQ that it may not show up because my system does not meet the requirements. It seems my system does meet the requirements with one possible exception; Does the 2ng gen core i5 CPU meet the CPU requirements? The req's say Intel 4... so I wasn't sure if the notebook processors were included. I've got no issue with LR5 trial.
I just want to make sure that LR5 would be included and available if I purchase a paid subscription to CC. CC seems like something I'm interested in, and a big way to combat privacy.

Here's Adobe's response to my not happy email....
However, regarding Lightroom 5 install and activation issue, I suggest you to follow the below mentioned instructions.
1. Close all Adobe applications including Creative Cloud desktop application.
2. Open Finder, click on Applications in the left pane and trash Lightroom 5 application.
3. In Finder, at the top left, click on Go > Go to Folder. Type /library and hit enter.
4. Open Application Support/Adobe folder and rename Lightroom folder to Lightroomold
5. Again in Finder, click on Go > Go to Folder. Type ~/library and hit enter. (Please make sure you prefix ~ symbol)
6. Open Application Support/Adobe folder and trash OOBE folder
7. Open Creative Cloud desktop application and install Lightroom 5 from Apps tab
Ive not tried it yet as I guess it'll mean backing up library etc but might be worth a try..

Have CC programs installed already, but when I open Creative Cloud app Manager it only shows CS6?

OK thanks - I tried that, would not let me remove the OPM.db file as in solution 2, i uninstalled CS6 versions, i uninstalled Creative Cloud desktop app and then downloaded latest and installed - however, with continual workload, I am not about to remove all Adobe software as suggested in Solution 4!  Even in the Creative Cloud app where it shows install new apps, there are only CS6 versions showing?
I have just uninstalled creative cloud app manager again - go to download latest version and the message is - we are currently experiencing problems, please try again later.

  • Lightroom does not show installed in Creative Cloud App

For the second time, I find out there is a Lightroom Creative Cloud update and when I go to the Creative Cloud App, it shows not installed. I have only installed it from Creative Cloud. If I select Install, it installs and works fine. Used to be I'd get a little flag that showed there was an update--no more. Any thoughts?

For me, in CC app LR shows as 'Install" ie. you'd think it's not installed. I'm on 5.6 still BTW, so it really should show in installed as "update" as PS does. Of course LR never actually updates, you get to use up 1GB of your download allowance because they'd like you to have both versions even if you only want the 64 bit, and you run it as an install.
The really brilliant thing about this is you can only "install" that 1GB download on one computer even though it's been downloaded as a separate exe file. If you also want it on your laptop you get to download that 1GB file all over again because it can only be authenticated by CC when it has been downloaded by CC on the computer you want it on. Do not make the mistake of thinking that because you have CC installed on the second computer that using the 1GB file from the first computer and doing the install that your LR will be authenticated by CC after the fact.
It's only been this way for a year, so I'm sure will be fixed soon. I suspect it's something to do with LR being a standalone product that's being 'patched' into CC's auth system. I think I'm going to go back to buying the standalone when LR6 comes out, I rarely use PS.

  • Lightroom isn't available in creative cloud desktop app

HI. I have the full creative cloud for teams membership. But Lightroom doesn’t appear in my cc desktop app. I have a macbook pro from 2012 with 2,5 GHz Intel Core i5 processor and the latest Version of Mac OS X (10.9.2). The trial version of lightroom I installed before purchasing the membership worked perfect. What should i do?

Do you have beta(trial version) installed for light room? If yes, then uninstall it completely by checking the preference boxes too.
Now restart the computer & download & install from the CC desktop App. It should work.

  • Why would creative cloud app manager be not responding?

I have just downloaded Creative Cloud and installed.  Initially I was able to navigate to the app manager and started the download of Photoshop.  It downloaded correctly.  I then later went back and opened and tried to go to the app manager and continually now get a not responding message.  That has been over the last two days.
I uninstalled and reinstalled Creative Cloud and still am having the same issue.
I've not began my subscription for the products because I want to make sure I can use them before I make that decision to buy them.
    Any suggestions are appreciated.

I am running windows 7 professional.  Browser - Firefox but also have IE.
I have disabled anti-virus and allow Adobe access via the firewall.

  • Can I disable Creative Cloud App Manager for only 1 account on Mac?

My Mac has multiple, managed user accounts. The CC application manager is installed globally for all user accounts, and constantly phones in on those user accounts, including one that is managed and restricted. Is there any way to disable the CC application manager for just one of the user accounts so that I don't see the constant warnings about attempts to contact restricted sites?
    Thanks.

  • Lightroom 5 won't show up in Creative Cloud app

I read it might be the Creative Cloud app language - I use Hungarian but tried to change it to English, no improvement.
I also read it might be system requirements - here's what I have, should be O.K.:
OS: Windows 8.1 64-bit, fully patched
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300
    RAM: 8 GB
Disk: 120 GB free on system disk
GPU: ATI Radeon HD 3600, DirectX 11
    Any idea?
    Thanks in advance,

Well, it looks like all I had to do was wait a couple of days - today the Lightroom product suddenly appeared in the Creative Cloud app. So I think I can close this case. Still, it's somewhat mysterious.

  • Creative cloud app is not recognizing installed applications

Creative cloud app first lost Lightroom and has not Lost Photoshop from the installed apps list.
I have taken the steps of logging out of CC then quitting the app and renaming opm.db to old.
New file was created, logged in, but the same problem persists

    Hi Anthony,
Since removing the opm.db file and signing out/ in did not work. I would suggest that you use the Adobe Clean tool to remove the software and reinstall.
Make sure your computer can still access the adobe servers. Check the hosts file.

This has nothing to do with your pictures. As long as LR works, nothing happens. The CC app merely has lost an entry in the installer database. Would a reinstall fix it? Sure. Is it necessary? Not really (until the next version or update). So unless you have too much time to spend or something isn't working, I'm sure you can find more interesting things to do with your tiem. Otherwise use the cleaner tool and get to it:

  • Lightroom 5.2 update not available in creative cloud?

I'm waiting and waiting for creative cloud inviting me to update to version 5.2 but the status stays "up to date"
Someone else having the same problem?
When opening LR5, there's a mention for updating to 5.2.
Should I use that? Won't it mess up my creative clouds app status?
