Lightroom 5 not available on Creative Cloud

I had the Lightroom 5 trial version on my computer and then I bought the Creative Cloud license. After the 30 days trial the software stoped working and then I decided to uninstall and install again, but now only Lightroom 4 is available. So, what comes in Creative Cloud  membership, Lightroom 5 or 4?

Renguede Lightroom 5 is currently offered with an Adobe Creative Cloud membership.  Have you utilized the steps listed in Creative Cloud Help | Install, update, or uninstall apps to install Photoshop Lightroom 5 through the Creative Cloud Desktop application?

  • Lightroom is not installed but Creative Cloud thinks it is!

I have completely uninstalled the entire Creative Cloud set of products including Lightroom 4.3 and Lightroom 5 (both 64-bit).  The icons changed to generic icons, indicating that the application link was broken, due to the fact that the product was no longer installed.
When I go to Adobe's CC website to try and download Lightroom 5 after signing in, my web browser asks which application I want to use to open the download link.  I choose the Creative Cloud application but nothing updates in CC Desktop.  I am on Windows 7 64-bit SP1.
I do not know why Creative Cloud Desktop still thinks those apps are installed and does not give me the button to install it.  Instead it shows "up-to-date".
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
P.S.  I also checked with the Adobe Cleaner Tool to make sure no CC apps were installed.

Lehestro (and anyone else having this problem on a Mac), I had this same problem tonight and solved it. I got a new hard drive for my Mac Pro today and did a clean install of Mavericks on it. When I installed Adobe Creative Cloud for the first time, it thought I alfeady had Lightroom installed and "Up to date" for some reason even though I hadn't installed anything but the Creative Cloud Desktop. It's possibly because it detected the application on my old hard drive, which I had mounted to transfer files to the new drive.
Anyway, I first tried installing the Lightroom trial application because I read that Cretive Cloud would update it to stop asking for a serial number. I installed the trial, then moved all of my relevant Lightroom settings over from the old hard drive to the new one so I could keep all my settings. I got most of these files from the various preferences files inside "~/Library/Preferences" (including all files and folders that start with "Adobe" as well as "com.Adobe" and "~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom/". I believe that's where all the files I transferred were. And of course I copied my Lightroom catalog, backups, and previews files to my user folder as well (just do a Google search for "moving lightroom files to new computer" and you'll see what files to move). I used the same directory structure on my new hard drive so there would be minimal confusin when moving all my files over.
While that did keep all of my settings quite nicely (and I mean everything, including camera calebration defaults that I had changed and things like that), it still asked me for a serial number.
What eventually worked was simple. I dragged the "Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.app" icon out of my Applications folder and into the trash. I then logged out of Creative Cloud, shut down my computer, unmounted the old hard drive, rebooted, and logged back into CC. Once I did that, Lightroom wasn't listed in my installed apps anymore, and became available as a new download. I downloaded and installed it from CC, and voila! Now it launches without asking for a serial number, and it still kept all my settings that I dragged over from the old hard drive. The only thing I had to do was go to the Plugins Manager and re-install my Picasa and SmugMug plugins. When I did that, it still even still retained their settings and had all the images in the galleries I had built on and published via my old system.

  • Lightroom 5.2 update not available in creative cloud?

I'm waiting and waiting for creative cloud inviting me to update to version 5.2 but the status stays "up to date"
Someone else having the same problem?
When opening LR5, there's a mention for updating to 5.2.
Should I use that? Won't it mess up my creative clouds app status?

  • Lightroom isn't available in creative cloud desktop app

HI. I have the full creative cloud for teams membership. But Lightroom doesn’t appear in my cc desktop app. I have a macbook pro from 2012 with 2,5 GHz Intel Core i5 processor and the latest Version of Mac OS X (10.9.2). The trial version of lightroom I installed before purchasing the membership worked perfect. What should i do?

Do you have beta(trial version) installed for light room? If yes, then uninstall it completely by checking the preference boxes too.
Now restart the computer & download & install from the CC desktop App. It should work.

  • Photoshop CS6 Extended not available in Creative Cloud single app membership?

I have read everywhere that Creative Cloud includes Photoshop CS6 Extended. So I went to buy a membership and figured I only need access to that one single app, and paid the US$19.99 for access to a single app license. But whenever I try to activate Photoshop now, I get regular CS6, not Extended. If I go into http://creative.adobe.com and look at my Apps it says just "Photoshop CS6" but when I click Learn More it brings me to the CS6 Extended product page. My question is whether I actually am entitled to CS6 Extended, or if I have to buy the more expensive $49.99 membership for access to all apps in order to get that? The marketing should be more clear if that's the case. Thanks in advance for any help!

    Hi PJ,
You're correct, when you get a membership to Photoshop CS6 by itself it is the standard version, versus with Creative Cloud membership it is the Extended version. I didn't find this written out anywhere. I did notice when I clicked the Photoshop picture from here http://www.adobe.com/products/creativesuite/cssubscription.html it took me to the Photoshop standard product page versus here it does say Extended http://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud/tools.html and links to the Extended product page.
Where are you seeing this "Learn More" link that takes you to the wrong place (Extended page)? Can you post a screen shot?
This seems like something that should be called out on the first subscription page and here http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/faq.html#subscriptions
I'll see if its possible to get something added and possibly change this Learn More link once I get more info.

  • Encore not available under Creative Cloud Desktop App

    Hi
I have just purchased Premiere Pro CC 2014 as a single app
and am trying to find how to get the option to show Premiere Pro CS6 so I can install that to get Encore Installed.
I have followed the online docs on how to do this but can not see an option under Apps to show the Previous versions, all I have is Find new apps Tab on the left and on the right All Apps on the right, when I drop down all it gives me is an option to show from the Apps List Filter like> All Apps, Audio/Video Etc.
Onthe very top I have listed installed
    Premiere Pro CC
    Adobe Media Encoder
both listed as all up to date.
I originally started with a trial of the above 2 Apps but have now just purchased a licence for PP Single App Monthly, I have also incidently tried loging in and out of Creative Cloud, but still same resutls.
I am wondering if the CC Desktop App has changed since the Encoure Tutorial?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Lightroom 5 is missing from Creative Cloud's Apps List. Please help.

I've just subscribed to the Photoshop Photography program, installed Creative Cloud, installed Photoshop CC from there and could run it just fine, but I couldn't find Lightroom 5 in the list of apps that I could install from CC. Please help.

    Hi krio,
If you're a paying Creative Cloud member, you may not see Lightroom in the Creative Cloud if your computer doesn't meet the minimum system requirements. Check to make sure that your system meets the minimum requirements for the latest release of Lightroom.
If you're using a trial version of Creative Cloud, the Lightroom trial is not available through Creative Cloud. It is, however, available as a stand-alone trial. See Install Lightroom trial | Creative Cloud membership.
    Note:
Lightroom requires a 64-bit-compatible operating system.
Creative Cloud only lists the application compatible to your system.

  • Is Lightroom 5 only available in the Cloud now?

I'm trying to upgrade from Lightroom 4 to Lightroom 5 but can't seem to find the upgrade page at Adobe. Everything sends me to a Creative Cloud subscription which I do not want. Is Lightroom now only available via Creative Cloud? Is there no longer a stand alone desktop application?
    Thank you.

    Products
Go to the above link. You should see the option to purchase Lightroom upgrade for $79. see screen capture.

  • Lightroom 5 isn't available in Creative Cloud app manager

LR5 doesn't show up in my list of applications available for Creative Cloud.
I have the trial edition of CC. Before the trial edition I downloaded and installed LR5 trial. I read in the LR/Cloud troubleshooting FAQ that it may not show up because my system does not meet the requirements. It seems my system does meet the requirements with one possible exception; Does the 2ng gen core i5 CPU meet the CPU requirements? The req's say Intel 4... so I wasn't sure if the notebook processors were included. I've got no issue with LR5 trial.
I just want to make sure that LR5 would be included and available if I purchase a paid subscription to CC. CC seems like something I'm interested in, and a big way to combat privacy.

Here's Adobe's response to my not happy email....
However, regarding Lightroom 5 install and activation issue, I suggest you to follow the below mentioned instructions.
    1. Close all Adobe applications including Creative Cloud desktop application.
    2. Open Finder, click on Applications in the left pane and trash Lightroom 5 application.
    3. In Finder, at the top left, click on Go > Go to Folder. Type /library and hit enter.
    4. Open Application Support/Adobe folder and rename Lightroom folder to Lightroomold
    5. Again in Finder, click on Go > Go to Folder. Type ~/library and hit enter. (Please make sure you prefix ~ symbol)
    6. Open Application Support/Adobe folder and trash OOBE folder
    7. Open Creative Cloud desktop application and install Lightroom 5 from Apps tab
Ive not tried it yet as I guess it'll mean backing up library etc but might be worth a try..

  • Lightroom 4 does not qualify for creative cloud 29.99 price?

Can someone explain why the Lightroom 4 product does not qualify for the discounted 29.99 membership for creative cloud?
Offer available to all registered users of individual products and suites, CS3 or later.

Lightroom is not considered a Creative Suite individual product. Same for Photoshop Express and Premiere Pro Express.
The wording on the full promotional terms from the link at the bottom of https://creativecloud-specialoffer.adobe.com/special-offer/ is: "This offer is only available to customers who own a Creative Suite edition or individual product, version CS3 or later (CS3.x, CS4, CS5.x, or CS6)..."

  • I have downloaded creative cloud but I do not have the creative cloud icon on my computer?

I have a membership to Adobe and have access to all the CC programs through the Icon "Adobe Application Manager". But I do not have a Creative Cloud icon in my applications? I also cannot sync fonts from Typekit as it says "Desktop font sync is not available on this operating system or device". When I click on the "learn more" it says the program only runs on "OS X 10.7 and higher", even though my computer is up to date. I can access all my creative cloud programs,  Photoshop / Illustrator / Indesign etc... Which confuses me as to why it is saying I cannot sync fonts as Typekit/Creative Cloud will not operate on any systerm lower then OS X 10.7..
    Ahg, confused. Help!
