Lightroom 5 to lightroom 6 subscription

if I take a subscription now with lightroom 5 and photoshop, will I be able to use Lightroom 6 when it will be released? Will that be for the same price or do I have to pay extra when lightroom 6 will be released?

With the subscription plan you will always have the latest version of Lightroom and Photoshop available for installation at no additional cost. It is part of the subscription plan, and one of the main benefits of using it. So when Lightroom 6 is eventually released it will be available in the creative cloud application manager. All that will be necessary is for you to install it and start using it.

I have a Photoshop / Lightroom CC subscription
but each time I fire up Photoshop it pops up a dialog saying my trial is ending soon.
If I hit "License this software" and sign in, I am told to enter a serial number.
I have not seen any serial number being mentioned in the initial emails received, and as far as I understand from the websites help it is not supposed to be any on the CC subscriptions.
I am out of ideas on what to try to get this working

  • Lightroom mobile subscription expired

I logged into LR 5.4 to use the new mobile features.  My Creative Cloud subscription is current.  But LR 5.4 is showing me the message "Lightroom mobile subscription expired" - in orange letters above my name in the upper left corner of LR.
    Obviously, something is wrong somewhere.
I think the adobe tech people who follow this forum need to look into this.  Being one of the first people to try this means no one else has seen this problem yet.

    Hi,
My problem was solved by one of your colleagues. I bought a Student and Teacher subscription (I am Professor at Paris Descartes University) on July, 24 and my Visa Card was charged. This was done using the ID claude.xxxxxxxxxxxxx
It appears that I have a second ID, orpheexxxxxxxxxxx that I previously used for a 30 days trial of Adobe CC.
    Best regards.

    Hi Claude,
we cannot see that your adobeid is connected to any paid account on our side. Can it be that you have two adobe id's?
If so please contact me with it privately.

  • How Can I change my Lightroom/Photoshop Subscription into a Full Creative Suite Subscription

I bought a Student Lightroom/Photoshop CC- Subscription and now I am thinking of "updating" it to a full one. How can I do that?

You likely need to get help from Adobe Support directly.

What happens when you run the Creative Cloud app? (You may need to sign in to your account.)
Then you should be able to download all available apps in your subscription.

  • Is Adobe Bridge free with Photoshop and lightroom deal?

Hello anyone, I have the Photoshop and lightroom deal subscription for Adobe CC.  But I don't know if Bridge free or extra?  in CC Apps there is an install option which suggests it's free were has other Apps have the try option.  Can any one help me please.  Cheers Neil

Bridge CC must be separately installed via the Cloud app.

It's included with your membership at no extra cost but it's no longer automatically installed along with Photoshop etc.

  • Lightroom 5.4 and new Mobile

    http://blogs.adobe.com/lightroomjournal/2014/04/lightroom-mobile-now-available.html

One issue with the subscription model is that glitches in user validation can prevent using the software.  I try to login to Lightroom (is that the proper terminology) with my current and active Creative Cloud account and Lightroom tells me "Lightroom mobile subscription expired."
To make the subscription model fly right, Adobe really needs the support services in place to get such problems resolved in a speedy manner.  I've been told that I may wait up to three days for the next level of technician to respond to the issue.
It's a new feature that I obviously wasn't using before so I can survive.  But difficulty getting a glitch like this resolved make me feel a little bit worried about locking into using Adobe products.

  • Update for Lightroom not available - not a Creative Cloud member

I did not use Creative cloud and am not interested in using it.  there is an update I am told for Lightroom, but whenever I go to update it takes me to Creative Cloud.
I use Lightroom for my enjoyment, thus, not interested in spending the extra money.  I buy the new versions when it comes out.
How do I get the last update if I do not subscribe to Creative cloud.
    thanks
    tim

    Hi Tim,
Three steps. First, you can simply download the latest release using the LR6 direct links instead here:
New Adobe Lightroom 6 (CC) Direct Download Links – Free Trials
Next, see this page where you can buy a LR6 standalone license, either Full or Upgrade (from a previous LR version):
Purchase Adobe Software Products - Most Popular
You may need to change your region in the lower left of that page, if it doesn't switch automatically to your country.
...and then finally just follow these instructions to permanently activate the product/trial installed on your system:
Lightroom Help | Serialize Lightroom CC trial to activate as Lightroom 6
That will convert the Lightroom CC subscription version on your computer to a Lightroom 6 perpetual licensed copy.
    Hope that helps!
Just post back if you have any further issues.

    Hi Owe Olsson,
If you have Lightroom 5 Subscription then you can install and activate it on 2 machines. You just have to download Creative Cloud Desktop apps from the below mentioned website and use your Adobe ID and password to activate.

  • Can I have multiple copies (separate licenses) of Lightroom running on my computer?

I have a Creative Cloud subscription at work and use my home computer for my second license so that i can work at home as well. However, I am thinking of purchasing a separate Lightroom/Photoshop subscription for my own use at home thinking that I want to keep my work and home files totally separate including for use on mobile devices. Is this even possible?

    Jim,
I thought it was odd that I had two versions of Lightroom installed as well. I have been able to track the issue back to an apparent "bug" in the Lightroom 5.2 update that installed a second version of Lightroom in addition to updating the existing version on my computers. At the time, I posted about it at Lightroom 5 installed twice on my laptop. While I never got an answer to my question, which was "Is this normal?" I did hear from others in the forum the experienced the same problem and had the same question. As time passed, later releases updated one of the two installations, but did not effect the second. Hence, two different versions of Lightroom 5 installed on the same computer.
Uninstalling the older version solved the problem. Thanks

  • How do I install lightroom cc?

I joined the Adobe Photoshop CC + Lightroom 5 subscription but cannot download Lightroom 5. After completing the subscription, I successfully downloaded Photoshop CC but cannot get Lightroom 5. It does not appear in my Creative Cloud desktop application and when I click on Download on the Lightroom 5 page of Adobe's website, nothing happens. I am on Windows 7 64-bit.

Go to http://creative.adobe.com/  log in and download from the Lr icon, there.
Sometimes all that is needed is to log out of the CC-manager app, reboot, and log back in to the CC-manager app.
Also, if you already have LR installed, then uninstall the non-CC version, and try the logout-login sequence.

    Bonjour Michel,
Pour installer une version hors abonnement de Lightroom 5, je vous conseille de bien vouloir téléchargera le produit via le lien suivant:
    https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=photoshop_lightroom
Suivant l'installation vous devrez entrer votre numéro de série pour la version acheté et non la version Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Bundle Subscription.
N'hésitez pas a revenir vers moi si vous avez d'autres questions.
    Merci.

  • Updating from CC trial to paid subscription

Hi, I just paid for the $9.99 Photoshop/Lightroom CC subscription but am unable to download or run it. Once I get into the CC Desktop App, it just prompts me to update the Photoshop CC trial that I had installed. After I update it I cannot open it (or at least can't figure out how to open it). Please help!
    Thanks!

If you had the CC trial you don't need to uninstall that. Click "license this software" and if it asks for user ID/password you're all set.
You don't run anything from the CC app, it's for managing your subscription. Applications are opened the normal way from the start menu.
You may have to sign out and back in, and possibly reboot, to make sure the status change is picked up.

  • No receipt in email for subscription unable to activate

I purchased a combo Lightroom/photoshop subscription. I was charged for it, but I never received an email or product code number, so I am unable to activate the account. Several hours on chat failed to resolve the issue. The reps kept telling me to download the program, but seemed unable to understand the issue. I filed a complaint with PayPal, and so far the only response is that they did send me the subscription with a tracking number. When I check my purchase/order history, it states that I have not purchased anything. But I paid for the first month, so how could that be? In addition, I cannot find a phone number to try to address this anywhere. I am unwilling to chat again. It started feeling scammish when they asked me to take down my firewall and let them into my computer. Does anyone have any idea what could be happening here? I canceled recurring payments, but I am out my first month.

Madmnstr it does not appear the e-mail address you are posting to this forum is tied to the membership you have purchased.  For information on how to install Photoshop and Lightroom please see Install and update apps - https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/install-apps.html.  You will want to make sure to utilize the Adobe ID tied to your membership.
