Lightroom 5 trial will not download

The dowload asks for Authentication - I use Abode registration email + Password. It just loops and continues to ask.

and activate with your serial.
if you have a problem dl'g, you didn't follow all 7 steps.  the most common error involves failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com).

  • Lightroom 5 (trial) will not open

    I am a Lightroom 3 user who is trying to migrate to a new Win8 computer. I initially tried to get LR3.6 on my new machine but had problems. As LR3 is not supported I've decided to upgrade. I downloaded LR5 onto my new machine using Firefox, went through the installation steps, and appear to have an installed version of LR5 (the shortcut is on my desktop and startup tiles). But when clicking or tapping or right-clicking to open it will not open. Just sits there.
    I have already migrated my photo collection to the new machine, as well as my old 3.6 catalog. I found something about the catalog .lock file on another forum,which said that if that file is still present (it was, right there next to my catalog) LR won't open. I deleted the .lock file but it has not helped, LR5 is still inert. I've also tried re-starting after installing. Any ideas? Is there a setting I'm missing on Win8?

    PS I plan to buy once I get this working.

    I reinstalled LR to the regular 32-bit program folder and it seems to have fixed it.  I have finally been able to open it  There seems to be an issue with the install of the 64-bit version.  I ran the install aagain to try and repair the 64-bit version and it ran through fine but I was still unable to open it after that.  I even DL some rec file for 64-bit version but it did not help. 
    Advice - install to your 32-bit program file until this is corrected....

  • My Trial Will Not Download!

    I am on a Mac OS X 10.7.4 and I am trying to download the After Effects CS6 trial. I downloaded the Installer, but when I go to install the Installer, it says "Sorry, an error has occurred." (error 3010) I have even tried installing the Installer to my User folder and my desktop but it still won't work!!

  • I have taken a 30 trial of Creative Cloud (Photoshop) It keeps telling me to close Adobe Bridge.  Adobe bridge is not open and the free trial will not download.

    I have taken a free 30 day trial of Creative Cloud.  It tries to download it but then I get a message to close Adobe Bridge.  My Adobe Bridge is closed so I am not sure what I should do next?

  • CS5.5 trial will not download (Error 09)&(Error 08)

    As I try to download the Master collection it shows (Error 08) and once I hit restart it goes to (Error 09) and restarting again goes back to (Error 08).   • Lightroom will not download into my creative cloud!

    I just purchsed the subscription for Adobe Photoshop & Adobe Lightroom. Photoshop downloaded fine, but lightroom will not download at all!
    I was using the free trial of lightroom before I subscribed and it worked fine. I have already tried everything.
    It is supposed to download via creative cloud, correct?
    This is so frustrating.

    What was happening for about an hour after signing uo to the Photoshop/Lightroom offer that after going to  https://creative.adobe.com/products, clicking on the Lightroom download then being taken to the Lightroom page with the big blue download buttton clicking on it did not start a download and Lr was not present in the creative cloud toolbar drop down. Both Photoshop and Bridge downloaded without issue.
    24 hours or so  later I tried again and this time Lr was present in the drop down and has now loaded.

    Here is the contents of a batch file which will convert whatever raws you drop on it:
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe DNG Converter" -cr7.1 -dng1.4 -p0 %*
    Once you download the latest converter (release candidate from adobe labs, if necessary), and save the appropriate contents of the batch file (change path to match your system, and parameters to match your druthers, if applicable), the procedure is:
    1. Drop raw files on bat file.
    2. Import as usual (the DNGs).
    Not too bad once you're set up (if DNG converter supports your raws).

    Note: on Mac, you may need to use "$@" (with the double-quotes) instead of %* (which is dos batch syntax), and you will need to use the full path to the converter executable file, e.g.

    If too much, just use the GUI instead of the bat file.

    It's probably dependant upon the version you download. I'd check into that vs the version of windows you're currently running.

    Under Windows 7 you will want to use the Programs and Features Control Panel to remove your installation.  I would recommend verifying that Photoshop Lightroom is removed from the list of installed applications.

    There should be a 32-bit installer as well. It should be part of whatever installer package you have. I don't know if you are aware, but when Lightroom 6 is released there will be no 32-bit support for Windows or the Mac. But then, if you are still using Lightroom 3 that probably doesn't matter to you.
