Lightroom after PS Photography Program purchase

I have a downloaded trial version of LR5 but after I purchased the PS Photography Program, how do I get the full version of the program?

Guess I should have done more reading before answering.  I am 64 bit.  With that said said then the original question.  Why cant I upgrade Lightroom from the trial version?
Did you read the first link I posted???
I am a paying Creative Cloud member and I have Lightroom installed. How do I update Lightroom via the Creative Cloud?
If you already have a trial or purchased version of Lightroom installed, you don't have to uninstall it. Choose the option to install the Lightroom through either the Creative Cloud app or through the Creative Cloud Download Center. It upgrades your trial or purchased installation to the fully licensed version that is part of your membership.

  • CS6 perpetual license after Photoshop Photography Program

It has been my understanding that if one takes advantage of the Photoshop Photography Program (PPP) offer for current users of PS CS3 or above (the one that expires December 31), that the existing perpetual license will remain in effect, and that CS6 (if that is what one owns) could be used concurrently with the new CC version, or that one could revert back to CS6 if the CC subscription is cancelled. But there seems to be a persistent perception in some quarters that the PPP offer is an upgrade offer, and that one effctively surrenders the earlier CS6 license in favor of the CC license, and would not be able to use the CS6 perpetual license thereafter.
Could someone (preferably Adobe staff) authoritatively clarify which scenario is correct? I am specificaly asking about the CS3+ offer expiring on December 31, not the open-to-anyone offer expiring on December 2. However, if the answer is different (that it, if the CS6 license would be usable if the PPP is purchased before 12/2, but not aferward) then that would also be valuable information.
    Thanks,
    Dave

    Hi Dave
Your understanding is correct.  Your perpetual license qualifies you for promotional pricing but you don't lose that license and can continue to use it.
    Hope that helps.
    Thanks

  • Update Credit Card details for Photoshop Photography Program purchased via Digital River

I need to update my credit card detail for my Photoshop Photography Program subscription.  I am not able to update via the website as I get an error.  I contacted support but they told me to cancel my subscription and order a new one.  I don't accept this as I subscribed to the Photoshop Photography Program which is no longer available.  I should be able to continue the subscription by updating my credit card info but support claims that this cannot be done since the subscription is via Digital River.  Digital River is no help their site and the staff direct me back to Adobe's site which give the error.  I don't accept that I will have to lose my Photoshop Photography Program subscription because of Adobe's choice of a payment processing partner and their inability to update my credit card details - this amounts to a bait-and-switch in my opinion.  How can I update the details?  I've waited three days for another response from Adobe and the subscription will fail tomorrow...

Make sure that EVERY DETAIL is the same in every place you enter your information

  • Significant price increase for UK Photography Program subscribers on the way?

See the discussion over in the Lightroom forum:Photoshop Photography Program UK Price Increase
Anyone else hearing anything about this by email (my subscription renews in December so too early for me as yet)? Adobe don't seem to making much public and there's nothing on their main UK site that I can see. I appreciate that Adobe were never going to keep the price at the same rate forever, but bumping it up by 21% or so in little over a year - whilst apparently not doing so for US customers? - is likely going to lose a lot of that goodwill they recovered pretty quickly. And being secretive about it isn't going to help either.

As per the other thread, the customer also has a Muse subscription and the renewal email he received with a price of £11.11 + VAT was for this subscription not the Photography Plan.

  • Lightroom 5 upgrade to Photoshop Photography Program

    Using Windows 7.
I have Photoshop CS6 and Lightroom 5.3 installed on my machine.
I have purchased and installed Photoshop Photography Program.
The Photoshop version has upgraded to CC but the Lightroom 5 version still has my original Serial Numbers showing on the Help/Registration/License.
How do I fix this without uninstalling Lightroom?
I have searched all over but can't find exactly what I'm looking for.
    Thanks,
    Roy

You now have two LR licenses, and each of those licenses can be installed on up to two different computers, so effectively you have 4 different installs you can use.
If you have not already installed LR on 4 computers, just choose which version, CC or non-CC that you have not already installed two times, and use it until you have time to reorganize what is installed, where.
LR-CC also makes it easier to migrate which two computers you have LR-CC activated on.  Upon installing on the third computer, something I did, recently, you'll be asked to deactivate it on the other two.  After that, you can just log into whichever other computer you still want to use it on and it'll reactivate that one and the other one will revert to deactivated.  Presumably you can do this several times across multiple computers, only having two activated at a time, but I'm sure Adobe has some way to watch for abuse of using your two licenses across many computers by repeated activating and deactivating different ones, and would eventually blacklist your login or serial number.  Years ago with Photoshop, there used to be a hard 20-deactivate/re-activation limit, but that was done away with so no one knows what it is, now.
If you really need LR on 5 or more computers then you'd need to buy more of the two-activation licenses.

  • Lightroom 5 and Photoshop Photography Program

I have installed Lightroom 5 as a testversion and now activated the "Photoshop Photography Program". Photoshop works fine but Lightroom still asks for a serial number that I don't know. How can I get it?

  • I have been using trial of Lightroom 5 and decided to purchase it. When I entered the serial number in to license the program, it tells me the code is invalid.

I have been using the trial of Lightroom 5 and decided to purchase it. In the box where you enter the serial number to license it, I am told the serial number I entered is invalid. Is there a way to rectify this?

Follow up from my post- I have resolved the issue I had. After several more attempts to get it to work, I finally had a chat with an agent. For all intents, I did not get a resolution for the problem, all she did was repost a link to download. What I ended up doing was uninstalled the trial of Lightroom, along with the creative cloud software, and then loaded Lightroom from the link I received when I purchased it. The program runs just fine...

  • CC update: is Lightroom out of Photoshop Photography Program subscription?

    Greetings!
After the recent CC update my Lightroom had "detached" from the installed application list and now suggests to "try" it:
When I launch Lightroom it suggests me to download update to 5.5. I looked at my account and see that I have Lightroom registered as a product and Photoshop Photography Program as subscription:
When I was subscribing for the plan in November 2013 Lightroom was part of the subscription, now it is out and the CC application is not even aware that Lightroom is installed on my computer.
Please let me know if the Lightroom is taken away from my CC subscription. If not, how can I return Lightroom into CC manger so that it alone tracks for the updates to all my subscribed CC applications?
I would appreciate any advice or insight.
    Thanks!

    Okay. Thanks a lot.
So for the 25 € per month you get only Photoshop CC (+ Bridge).
Und for the 13 € per month you get Photoshop CC (+ Bridge) and Lightroom 5.

  • Trying to launch Lightroom after purchasing Creative Cloud

My son and I did trials of Lightroom and After Effects.  I purchased Creative Cloud.  I Downloaded the Adobe Applications Manager after I logged into MY account.   The Adobe App Manager shows my sons name and Lightroom is not in the line up.  I try to launch Lightroom from my applications (it is there from the trial) and it asks for a Serial Number, which I don't have.  Please help me launch lightroom and help me understand why my sons name appears and why Lightroom isn't in line-up!
    THANKS SO MUCH!

Please remove the copy of Photoshop Lightroom you currently have installed.  If you are using Windows then you will want to utilize the uninstaller in Programs & Features.
Once Lightroom has been removed you should then be able to download and install Lightroom from the Adobe Application Manager.  You will need to be signed into AAM with the Adobe ID tied to your subscription for Lightroom to be visible as an option.

  • Lightroom asks for Serial Code but I subscribed to the Photoshop Photography Program

I subscribed to the Photoshop Photography Program which includes Photoshop AND Lightroom.
Lightroom keeps asking for a serial code.
    I need help.

Your subscription is paid & active.
Creative cloud do not need a serial number. it will be using your Adobe ID on which you have purchased the creative cloud membership.
So you need to login with your Adobe ID and password to activate the cloud membership.
Log out & log back in of the CC Desktop App.
In case it is not signing in successfully please try the following:
I don't know which operating system you are working on so i am giving you some steps windows and MAC OS:
       Windows:
In windows 7 navigate to following location:
         /windows/system32/drivers/etc
       1. look out for "Hosts" file
       2. Open it with notepad
       3. Check if you have any entry for Adobe
       4. Remove the entries and try again launching any product from CC
On Windows XP navigate to following location:
       \windows\system32\drivers\etc
       1. look out for "Hosts" file
       2. Open it with notepad
       3. Check if you have any entry for Adobe
       4. Remove the entries and try again launching any product from CC
       Mac:
       1. Please click on "Go" and navigate to /private/etc
       2. Open "hosts" file and check out for any entries for Adobe.com
       3. Remove the entries and save the file
       4.  try again launching any product from CC

  • On my recent receipt it only lists photoshop photography program and not lightroom 5 -.why?

Just curious as to why on my recent purchase on the receipt it does not list "Lightroom 5" only  "photoshop photography program"

If you have any trial /beta version of lightroom installed in the computer then you need to uninstall it (Manually uninstall Lightroom) or use CC cleaner tool(Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6)
    Or
uninstall it completely by checking the preference boxes too.
Now restart the computer & download & install from the CC desktop App. It should work.
Then you need to install it from the CC Desktop App (www.creative.adobe.com)
    Hope it helps you.

    Hi Sangeeta,
For a fresh download on a new hard drive, it's best to start with the CC desktop app. Sign into adobe.com and download it here: creative.adobe.com/products/download/creative-cloud
You can then launch the desktop, sign in and download PS & LR.

  • The photography program Photoshop, Lightroom & Bridge

I recently joined the Creative Cloud Photography Plan.  My operating system is Windows 7 64 bit.  After installing the above programs when I shut down the computer I get the message :  Waiting for background programs to close Windows Task Host.  I was not getting that message when shutting down my computer prior to installing the 3 products included in the photography program.  The computer has 8GB of RAM and the NVIDA GTX 650 ti graphics card with 2GB of RAM.  There is 492 GB of free space on the c drive and 500 GB of free space on the second hard drive. I am worried that I may be damaging my computer in some way.  If anyone else knows of something I should do please let me know. I have not uninstalled CS6 or Bridge CS6 due to some plugins not being compatible with the Cloud products.

If Windows shuts down after a few seconds, then you're ok.
The Windows Task Host that you referred to in your first message is a hidden process involved in I'm not sure what, but Windows Task Manager is something to view the processes running and resources used by them that you start and stop yourself.
When you instruct Windows to shut-down, it notifies each process that it is shutting down, and those processes are supposed to respond to that shutdown signal by shutting themselves down.  If after a certain number of seconds processes are not shut down, yet, then Windows shows those in a list--in case it is a program, like Wor or Photoshop that is prompting you to save a document or something else that you need to intervene on behalf of and cancel the shutdown.  If the processes in that list do eventually shut down before the pre-configured wait-for-processes-to-shut-down timelimit then nothing bad will happen; it is only when one of those processes doesn't shut down in time (like Photoshop asking if you want to save your image) and Windows has to kill it before it was ready that something might not be optimal.
As to why you've just started seeing this after your recent installs, there is probably just a little more going on like Adobe license processes or more RAM and virtual-memory usage or something else like that, which is making the processes respond slower to the Windows shutdown signal so you're being notified that things are still running.  Again, as long as those things are eventually shutting down wtihout being killed by the OS, then you're ok.
