Lightroom always syncs to mobile using an old Adobe id

I had a CC subscription on a work email address, with LR and PS installed. I synced LR with LR mobile using that email address. I cancelled that subscription and took out a new one using my personal adobe id. I removed all the software, went through the clean up process and reinstalled, having signed in with the new id. Now LR thinks it is a trial (but I have posted a separate question about that), and I cannot make it sync using my personal Adobe id. It insists on using my old id and says the subscription has expired (which is true!), even though CC Desktop app shows I am connected with the new id. How can I make it point to the new id? If I try to sign out and back in again it does not give me the option to put in a different id.

Can you send me your new adobe id as a private message so that I can have a look at the back-end of your account?

Can trial version of Lightroom CC sync with mobile?

I have the trial version of Lightroom and I have Lightroom Mobile installed on my iPad. I have sync turned on, but on the iPad (logged in) it says no collections available. I can't find anywhere online whether the trial version of the desktop app is allowed to sync. But if I can't sync a small set of photos to understand how well it works, I won't purchase the CC subscription. I can't figure out what the point is of a trial version if you can't see how the sync feature works. It seems like the whole concept of CC is the mobile connection.

Won't always sync- "port in use"

Probably about 6 times out of 10 attempts at syncing my palm fail. I get the msg that the port is in use by something else. The only thing I do is restart the computer to get it to sync. Sometimes I have to restart many times before it happens. I use a bluetooth usb b/c I have MS Vista64 which does not support my Palm Tungsten E2. I'm guessing that the bluetoothis the root of the problem...but it's just a guess. Thanks for any help. JD

I'm afraid I have no suggestions for rileycrk, but I'm posting here because I have a problem that might be related. I have a Treo 755 with Palm Desktop 6.22 (Access). Last winter when my XP machine died and I ended up with an HP laptop on Windows 7 Home edition, I followed instructions I found here to get my Treo to sync via bluetooth. It has worked like a charm until this week.
Windows 7, as most of you probably know, has a total mind of its own. It is always re-configuring itself and screwing up parameters I have carefully set up. This week it suddenly re-installed drivers for the bluetooth keyboard and mouse I've been using all along. Sometimes I can stop it from doing crap like this, but this time it refused to recognize the peripherals without an install. I need the ergonomics, so I let it happen.
And sure enough, now I can't get my Treo to be recognized. I have deleted an reinstalled the device a couple of times. The PC always finds it but then lists it as "unavailable". This last time it listed it as a modem-- and I didn't get the opportunity to change that. Hotsync will not work -- it flashes something too fast for me to see and then goes back to the screen showing the date and time of my last one.
Is it possible this has anything to do with the Desktop Installation? I have seen instructions elsewhere suggesting a clean uninstall and reinstall of that software (Hate making registry changes but will do it if I have to). It doesn't seem like that should be the issue but does anyone have any thoughts on that or anything else?
NB: I have often gotten the "port in use" message before all this, because I don't keep my phone's bluetooth on except when I'm hotsynching. I've never had a problem with that before.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Lightroom CC Syncing all Mobile Photos

It looks like LR is going to sink all 2000 of my mobile photos. Apparently the upgrade causes the need to sync all of the photos without the user changing them. It looks like it is going to take a couple of hours on my connection which has a 10Mbs upload speed.

Let me try to answer your questions.

collections created within the Lr Mobile app will be automatically synced to the back-end. You can add photos manually from your camera roll or enable a collection for "Auto Add". With that all future camera shots will be automatically imported to Lr Mobile and synced

correct. changes will be synced from Lr Mobile to Lr Desktop - back&forth
3) local camera roll deletion is not connected to the Cloud back-end. But be carefull that the import/sync is finished before you trigger that.
4)

original resolution images will be downloaded to Lr Desktop. Preview images will be shown in the Lr Web view Adobe Lightroom

when you create a collection within Lr Desktop and add your photos you would like to sync, then you can enable this collection for sync. As soon your are signed-in and start the sync (via the top left activity panel) you will notice a little checkbox beside the collection. When you check this sync start to run. Lr Deskop generates smart previews and uploads these to the back-end (plus thumbnail previews + meta-data). When you open up Lr Mobile app and you would like to make an edit, the Lr Mobile app loads the smart preview form the back-end and syncs back the meta-data or edit setting.

When firefox opens a pdf file it always tries to use my old Adobe professional instead of my V9.3 Adobe reader. Can I change this?

I can't really add any more than this. Often the PDF is incompatible with this older (v6) of adobe professional.

What is your operating system?
Open a PDF from where? If online, in what browser?

Lightroom does not open photoshop using "Edit in adobe photoshop CC-" command.

I updated lightroom and photoshop using the CC desktop. (LR V5.3 x64, PS V14.6.2 x64) This broke the “Edit in adobe photoshop CC…” command.
Based on advice from this forum, I unistalled both programs completely and reinstalled them. The
“Edit in adobe photoshop CC…” command is still broken.
Is there a way to fix this? I use this feature frequently.

What’s broken? -- The “Edit in adobe photoshop CC…” command does not open photoshop and the file as it did before the upgrade.
Is the "edit in function" not available? -- It is visible in the edit it menu.
Was it working before? Yes.
What happens if you click? - Nothing.
Do you get an error message? - No.

Old Adobe photoshop

Hi I have used the old adobe photoshop for several years and now it has been discontinued. I open and look at pix in the photo well but cannot access them. I am told have to use PSE...but, how can I can all of my pix from 04 over to PSE safely and securely??? Also, some pix still show the flower symbol instead of the actual pix. PLEASE HELP...TRYING TO SAFELY BEGIN A NEW SYSTEM AND ORGANIZE OUR PRECIOUS MEMORIES!!! ALSO, which product of Adobe elements is the simplest?

How to sync music bought with an old apple id with a mobile me icloud

I migrated from mobile me to icloud using my mobile me account (which is different to my itunes apple id account) and I can sync pictures, contacts and ical via the cloud to my mac, iphone and ipad using the mobile me @me.com id. All devices are signed in with the mobile me @me.com log in.
However, my purchased music won't sync when i buy it with my itunes apple id. Do I have to re-sign into icloud using my old apple id to sync it all? If so what happens to pictures and ical.
I started off by creating an account using my old apple id on the iphone (which prompted me to create an entirely new me.com address), but I changed it to the @me.com log in and deleted it from the iphone because it would not sync pictures etc.
I think I did something wrong at he very start due to the confusing prompt for an apple id when creating the original icloud account.

You should continue to use your itunes account ID for iTunes and your iCloud ID for syncing services such as calendar et al.
If you want your iYunes purchases to download to all your devices, check automatic downloads in settings > store on you iOS devices and iTunes preferences > Store in iTunes on your mac/PC.

I have always synced my Iphone 4 to a previous laptop but now want to use a new (already iTunes authorised) computer. I don't mind losing music but want to know if I will lose data such as photos or texts? Thanks,

I have an iphone 4, using IOS 5.0.1 and have always synced it to my laptop (windows vista, 32 bit). I have recently bought a new desktop computer (Windows 7, 64 bit) and after putting it off for a while, i've decided to bite the bullet and sync my iphone with my new computer. I have already authorised my itunes account on my new computer, and i don't mind loosing music. I am more concered though about the risk of loosing my text messages and photos on my phone.
Could anyone please tell me if i will loose the messages and photos from my phone when syncing to a new computer.

When you connect the iPhone to sync with the new computer, a number of things will happen. If the new computer/iTunes does not contain any music, then yes, you will receive a prompt saying this iPhone is synced to another library, and if you continue, you will lose your music. However, you risk losing a number of other things, such as apps, contacts and calendar data. When you ask about photos, any photos that you have on the iPhone that were synced from the previous computer would also be lost. You need to save the photo folder from the old laptop and transfer that to the new desktop. You also need to sync the contacts and calendar to the same supported application that you were using in the past, such as Outlook, unless you are using an outside web-based sync, such as Google. Also, when you first connect the iPhone, it will make a backup, or at least make sure that it does before you attempt to sync, or you will not have a backup of some of the other things, such as mail settings, SMS, and the contents of the Camera Roll. I would import the photos from the camera roll to the new computer before trying to do anything else in iTunes.

Does DNG Converter work within LR or do I have to upload pictures to my computer and then make a second copy in DNG format. and then go into LR and use them?

I've set the new ID for the phone, but it defaults to the old one when asking for a password to update apps.

That's because all apps are forever tied to the Apple ID used to obtain them, & can only be updated using that ID.
To use your new ID with these apps, you'll have to delete them, then repurchase. Or, contact iTunes support, explain the situation, & ask that they add these apps to the download queue of your new ID.
