Lightroom bug: activation state of brush adjustment lost
Since the introduction of Lightroom 2 through 2.4 there has been a bug in the operation of the local brush adjustment. It's as follows.
Start or edit a local brush adjustment so that the little activation bullet (radio like button) appears. Toggle before/after by typing . When returning the after view (after/before/after) the local brush bullet is no longer active, thus forcing me to reselect it. The behavior is especially irritating when I'm zoomed in so the active brush indicator not view (scrolled off). I am then required to zoom out so I can find it and click to reactivate it, then zoom in to continue my editing. I see no reason why the active brush should not remain active between toggling between after/before/after with "\". I prefer to do my before/after viewing with the full frame rather than one of the split pane views because I want to see as much of the image as possible. I've reported this issue directly to Adobe a few times with no response or fix.
p.s. while I'm at it (I'll repost in feature requests). The location of the brush adjustment indicator corresponds to where the mouse down first occurred. I should be able to move the indicator to where it's more convenient after placing it, regardless of where the brush strokes occur. For some images I have a number of local adjustments in the same region. They become crowded, making it hard to distinguish one brush indicator from another.

Lightroom 4.4 Brush adjustment problem
I installed LR 4.4 on my recent bought new desktop computer. I noticed the brush adjustment only work globally when I tried to move the slide to make adjustment after selected the brush. I searched on internet and found silimar complaints. I post this issue here and look for the support from Adobe or any user who knows the solution. Thanks!

Active state not working in scrolling site (with anchor links)
I'm design a scrolling site with anchor links and an horizontal menu on the top.
when i publish the site and click on the menu buttons the site scrolling to the place of the anchor but the active state in the menu is not working.
now... when i leave the main page (were the scrolling site is) and then return back to it all active states are working perfectly

To answer your question, I was changing the Font Color and Box Fill Color of the Active State.
I did not understand that Active State means the look of the Menu Item when the PAGE is active. I thought it meant the look of the Menu item when the cursor is scrolling down the Menu (i.e. when the MENU is Active, not the page).

When you hover over the "Work" menu item, and move the cursor down the menu, the state of "Work" remains changed until you move the cursor off of that menu column. It does NOT return back to it's Normal state until you are off of that menu column.
Is there a way to achieve this with the menu states in Muse?

Photoshop Button in Active State Returns to Normal After Rollover?
Hello,
I'm working on a glossary reference website in Muse, and have hit a roadblock with my photoshop buttons.
I have created menu buttons in Photoshop that have two different states - one for active and rollover, and another for normal and down (the button is actually saved with four different layers/states, one for each, but for what the user will see, it's really only two options). I've used these menu buttons as rollover triggers for blank compositions, and when the user rolls over the button, the name of the page appears below it, and then disappears on rollout (otherwise the names would overlap and it would look very cluttered).
The issue that I have found is that, when I preview the page in my browser, the buttons appear to function properly in that they show up in the active state indicating that the page that they are linked to is the one that they are on.

...and when I rollover the image of the page that I am currently on, the button shows the name of the page as desired, like so:
However, when I rollout, the button reverts back to the normal/down state, even though I am still on the home page.
Below is a screenshot of the composition settings that I have set up for this widget. I tried switching the "Hide Target" to none, but since the target is referring to the word "Home", the word "Home" remained visible in addition to the button remaining in the active state, which is not what I want. I also tried selecting "Triggers on Top", but the issue was not solved here either.
What am I missing? How can I make sure that my button remains in the active state when on the page that it is linked to?

RachelSounds like a bug that's the fallout of the overloaded meaning of "Active" state. "Active" is both the state used for an item with a hyperlink applied that points to the current page (or an anchor point in the current scroll range on the current page) and the state used for a trigger or thumbnail in a Composition or Slideshow widget that corresponds to the a current active item in the composition or slideshow.
It appears we honor the hyperlink definition of "Active" on page load for a composition trigger with a hyperlink to the current page applied, but don't honor that definition of active when transition to having no items in the composition active (or presumable when transition to having a different item in the composition active).
The only workaround that comes to mind would be the very tedious approach of replicating this composition widget on each page, removing the hyperlink on the "active" trigger and manually formatting it's "Normal" state to appear active.
I've written up the bug. However, it may not get fixed immediately. (We tend to collect smaller fixes in an area and then address them all at once or when other changes are planned in that area, due to the overhead involved in ramping up to work on an area and thoroughly retest it after changes.) -
The Muse team scrambled nicely with a hotfix for the active state problem. But an earlier problem with active state still pesists. It's a little more nuanced but it definately should be considered by anyone doing a one page Muse site using scroll feature for their menu. You can see the problem in todays site of the day "Elevate" http://muse.adobe.com/site-of-the-day. Here's the problem:
On a Win O/S use either Chrome or Firefox to view the site. Also set the browser page size (zoom) greater than 100% (like 110, 125 etc). Now you'll find the only menu item which shows an accurate active state is "home". The other menu items either don't show an active state or show a wrong active state!Hi,
We are looking into the problem where if you zoom a page the active state disappears. I'll let you know when I have more information on a fix or workaround for this issue. For the active anchors sometimes not working sometimes in Windows in Chrome and Firefox, we are currently working on a fix this bug. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.

Brush adjustment not functioning properly
Hi, wondering if anyone has experienced this. Lightroom worked perfectly for a long time. Then suddenly the brush adjustment stopped working properly. As it is currently all I can do is add a brush adjustment with brush a. I cannot later edit that adjustment and cannot use brush b or the eraser (though I can erase by holding alt while painting a brush stroke).
In the grad adjustment, I can go back and edit those, but not in the brush adjustment. Any idea why? Thanks in advance.

Font is incorrect in active state
I have selected a specific font for a menu "active" state. I have also tried leaving it the same as the other states. No matter what I do I get this weird font once you click on the page and are then on that page ( I guess the active state). It should be geneva but it's some typewriter looking font and not what I selected. I have tried using other fonts it doesn't matter. Site is sdschoolofballet.com. Thanks for any help.
GinaYeah!!! that's terrible.
i used to build a site under MUSE V1 and when I updated to V2 the mess began!
I had to cancel all my slideshow because, without knowing why, they work under v1 but under V2 when you preview in a browser, the NEXT and PREVIOUS button don't work!!!
Thus I had to make another menu bar because it worked under V1 but under V2 even when NO border was selected between the different menus I had one appeared!
And finally I have the same bug as you do, my active state in the menu bar are either GEORGIE, or COMIC !!!!.
The worst in all that stuff is that menu bar is the new one, created under V2, and even if it choose "modify all", It doesn't work because if it would have done like that all my menu would have the same HELVETICA font under all states, and it's not right, some have HELVETICA, some COMIC, and some GEORGIA.
besides yesterday (the day I began to work with the V2 of muse, I had 3 crashes, but I never had even one with the V1 that looked more stable.

Active State not working in Horizontal Menu Bar
I have a Horizontal Menu Bar.
I've set the Top Level Item with Normal, Rollover, Mouse Down and Active States to be different.
All three work on the Top Level Item, EXCEPT for Active State. When the menu is Active, and I move the mouse down the items, the Top Level Item defualts to the Normal State, NOT the Active State.
I've tried trashing the Active State and rebuilding it. That did not work.
I can't figure out how to get the Top Level Item in the Menu Bar to display the Active State.
Hope someone has some suggestions, or knows if this is a bug.

Active States Not Working on Anchor Links?
Since updating to the newest version of Muse today, it seems that my parallax site's navigation button aren't displaying the "active" state once you scroll to an anchored position. This was working earlier today, it seems to be an issue with the newest version of Muse (v7.2, Build 230). Anyone else having this issue?

When I go to add a menu (manual) from the widget menu, I can add in the names of the buttons without issue.
If I want to link out to other sites, no issue.
However, if I add anchor links, things fall apart.
It seems the first few links work without issue and with a fixed menu at the top, the page scrolls nicely to the area. However, I am noticing that the 4th and 5th button in a manual menu do not respond to active states and even the scrolling page navigation is wonky. The "team" and "contact" buttons never highlight, even when selected, nor do they navigate properly to the corresponidng anchor link.
I have moved the anchor links deeper down the page to see if this makes a difference and it doesn't. It is as if the menu can't pick up the anchor points.
I addition, when viewed on iOS devices (although not optimized) I get 2 active states selected in the menu.
I think the script for this widget needs revisiting. Please advise.

A top level menu item should display its active state if any of its submenu items are active
Example case: I'm designing a Muse site which is basically a portfolio of our work. We design books, doing page layout and covers. We have numerous book categories and sub categories which I put in a horizontal menu. When a given top level category menu item doesn't have a submenu, it is a hyperlink and it displays active state when the browser displays its linked page. But when a given page is displayed from a submenu link, its top level menu item does NOT display active state. I think it should.
For example, we have a "Nostalgia" category which has "Film" and "TV" subcategories. Because the menu item, "Nostalgia" has a submenu containing "Film" and "TV", the label "Nostalgia" is not a hyperlink. The submenu attached to it has the two hyperlinked items "Film" and "TV". When the browser is displaying either linked page, the submenu is hidden. So it would be nice if the top level item, "Nostalgia" would display in an active state.Hello Daniel,

Most of the triggers in my composition are not showing there active state
I have a composition with 18 triggers.
Each trigger has a b/w image that should turn to a colour image when active or rolled over but only the two on the 3rd row work correctly.
The others do change when rolled over but when I roll off, even when still active they go back to their normal state.
Also when the composition plays through only the same two triggers will show the correct active state whilst active.

i have checked and all triggers have the correct images on each state.
ThanksI figured it out. all trigger also have a link to another page on the site, all but two anyway.
so the triggers states are reacting as if it is just a link rather than it being a trigger in a composition.
does somebody know a way that will allow me to have the triggers states react the way i want and for the triggers to act as a link?
