"Lightroom catalog was not found" error... help pls!

Hi All-
I have a new PC and moved all my Lightroom folders over from my dead laptop.
Whenever I open LR, I get a message saying "lightroom catalog was not found," and am given options to locate an existing catalog or load the default catalog. When I load the default catalog, everything is fine -- all my photos are there, all my adjustments are intact, etc.
Then I quit LR, reopen, and get the same tiresome message.
How do I keep this from happening? I'm concerned that some setting is pointing to the wrong location, and I fear the consequences...

OK, I must be doing something wrong, because everything I'm trying fails.
Here's the blow-by-blow:
Launch LR4
Error Box: The catalog at location (C:.....) [catalog address on old machine] could not be found. Would you like to open an existing catalog or use the default one?
Select: Use Default Catalog
LR4 Launches, everything is fine
Catalog Settings --> General says I am using a catalog at c:\Users\Gian\Pictures\Lightroom named Lightroom 4 Catalog.lrcat
Preferences --> General --> "When starting up, use this catalog:" --> Load Most Recent Catalog
Quit Lightroom
Re-Launch LR4
Same error message, referencing location of catalog on old PC
Select: Choose a Different Catalog
Highlight Lightroom 4 Catalog.lrcat in c:\Users\Gian\Pictures\Lightroom. Tick box at bottom of screen: Always load this catalog on startup.
Click "Open"
LR opens, everything works fine
Catalog Settings --> General says I am using a catalog at c:\Users\Gian\Pictures\Lightroom named Lightroom 4 Catalog.lrcat
Quit Lightroom
Re-Launch Lightoom

Use Default Catalog this time...
LR opens, everything works fine

Now I try changing Preferences --> General --> Default Catalog --> "When starting up, use this catalog:" --> Load Most Recent Catalog, specifing c:\Users\Gian\Pictures\Lightroom\Lightroom 4 Catalog.lrcat
Hit OK
Quit LR
Relaunch LR
Error Box: The catalog at location (C:.....) [catalog address on old machine] could not be found. Would you like to open an existing catalog or use the default one?
What am I missing?

Dear All,
Thanks for all your support and help.
I need an urgent support from you as I am stuck up here from nearly past 2-3 days and not getting a clue on it.
I have re-named a dimension attribute 'XX' to 'xx' (Caps to small)in my cube and cleared all dependencies (In Attribute relationship tab as well).
But while refreshing the data in excel client (of course after processing the full cube) I get an error
'Query (1, 1911) the [Dimension Name].[Hierarchy Name].[Level Name].[XX] dimension attribute was not found' error.
Here I am trying to re-fresh an existing report without any changes with the new data.
Does not it re-fresh automatically if we clear the dependencies or there something that I am missing here (Like order of the dependencies).
Cube processed completely after modifications and able to create new reports without any issues for same data. What else could be the reason?
Can some one help me here?

In se11 ,when i was trying to activate the /BIC/FZBKUPC , it is showing the warnings like
Key field KEY_ZBKUPCP has num. type INT4: Buffering not possible, Transport restricted.What it means.
In PErformance Window it is showing like:
A numeric type was used for a key field. A table of this sort cannot be buffered.When buffering, the table records for numeric values cannot be stored in plain text.
Procedure
You can enter "no buffering" as an attribute of the technical settings and then repeat the activation process. The table is not buffered.
If you want to buffer the table, you must replace the type in the key field by a character type, i.e. that you must modify the table.
Please adivice with your valueable suggestyions.

I tried updating to itunes 10.5 and now when i try to open itunes i get a message saying "Apple application support was not found" error 2 (windows error 2)

Ok so I went to update my itunes 9 to itunes 10.5 and now I get and error message "Apple application support was not found" error 2 (windows error 2) when ever I try to run itunes and iv been trying to fix this for like a month and let me tell you iTunes for windows is **** and I really want Icloud for my iphone 4 and yes iv tried uninstalling everything by apple in the correct order and reinstalling them after restart atleast honestly 20 - 30 times but nothing worked so if anyone can please help me I have windows 7 and a hp intel pentium computer

Install 7-Zip (free), or a free trial of WinRAR, and use one of them to extract the contents of the iTunesSetup.exe or iTunesSetup64.exe installer file, then try installing AppleApplicationSupport.msi as a standalone component. Even if it won't install you may get a more useful error message as to why not.

Iam facing this problem that, when i try to open the Leave Overview from the leave request screen. it gives the dump with message
CREATE OBJECT: The class was not found., error key: RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE
this also creates a dump in the back end.
The same dump is appearing when i try to view the Check Documents for the same employee from PTARQ.

If you leave configuration is done.
There was an incorrect data in your system. To do these please follow following process.
delete this request using
PTARQ> Delete documents (RPTARQDBDEl)
Please read the report documentation before
deleting the request but it should be safe as it is
a development system.
Please delete this with the above information or delete all
the records for the approver.
After this,, there will be some incorrect workitem in approver inbox.
You need to clear that also by Tcode - SWWL.
ALSO check the leave request workflow of that employee and if there is any error workflow lying in the workflow delete the leave request (which was created with error) Note down the id initiater ( which had error) and in the Test Environment for Leave request (PTARQ) gave the PERNR and delete the documents ( give the id iniater in the document status ).
To check the error work flow go to SWIA and check for that Workflow (Leave) raised by the PERNR at that duration ( check in IT2001 for the duration) and give it here.
After deleting it check in the portal for the leave request if any error is occuring when trying to apply for leave.

When I log into a workspace I get the following :
The requested URL /pls/apex/f was not found on this server.
Note:
1. The workspace was working fine and while working only this issue started and the problem exists since.
2. I am able to log into Internal Workspace

I originally had a problem with my iTunes and went to the Apple website to find a solution and I was encouraged to uninstall and reinstall iTunes. Well, I made the mistake of uninstalling the Apple Application Support and now every time I download iTunes, it will not start. I tried looking through other discussions to fix my problem but the only thing I could find that was someone saying to download a free thing and then use it to run iTunes. Everyone said that it worked for them but the home page of the website is a copious amount of external links and it's really annoying as well as confusing. When I found a link that would allow me to download it, it wanted me to complete a task in which I would have to sign up for something (for example, Audible.com) in order to get to the free software. I would just like to download the program required and I am really sick of iTunes at the moment.

i am currently experiencing the exact same problem. ive done everything and researched it completely. nothing has solved this. and I did as you said and downloaded quicktime separately, still nothing..keep getting the same message about "apple application support not found, error 2"..and that cant be, because it DOES in fact have that apple support when I downloaded the quicktime... im beyond frustrated with this! if ANYONE has a solution please help!!!!

Show Database Get "Object was not found"error

I have a weird situation here.
I created Data Guard Broker setup and show configuration return good result.
It is running for quite a while, and I can see if I switch log file on Primary, the Max Seq# is matched between Primary and Standby. Also do a lot of other test query all return good result.
But today when I happen to run Show Database command it says the DB object not found,
and there is no error in DRCxxx.log file.
Did I miss something? Any suggestions are appreciated.

Can't open iTunes, CoreGraphics.dll was not found, Error 7

For some reason, I suddenly could not open iTunes. I get the message " This application has failed to start because CoreGraphics.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem".
I also get the message "iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7".
iTunes worked fine until just one minute it didn't work any more. I have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it many times, and I get nothing. Can anybody help, please?

One of your Apple Application Support dlls has gotten damaged or gone walkabout, Martha. For some more information on the relationship between Apple Application Support and iTunes see the second part of this user tip:

A couple of questions before proceeding.
Do you have a 32 bit or 64-bit version of Vista?

Apple Application was not found:error 2(windows error 2)

I have been unable to install itunes on my laptop due to error 2; i read previous forums for the fix to error 2 and im receiving this error now. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling as well. error reads: "Apple Application was not found. Apple Application is required to run iTunes. Please uninstall ITunes then install iTunes again. b noir and turingtest2, Not sure if you have seen or not, but I have been having major issues with the R6034 error and the removal process. I finally got everything removed and upon attempting to reinstall, delete, reinstall many times, I was getting the error 2 - "Apple Application was not found. Apple Application is required to run iTunes. Please uninstall ITunes then install iTunes again. Error 2 (Windows Error 2)." I then found this support topic. I followed your instructions above and completed a standalone installation of AppleApplicationSupport.msi and that worked. I then tried to install iTunes from that point. iTunes seems to have installed fine, but I got an error that Bonjour did not install and that I should delete iTunes and try to install it again. I did not delete iTunes, all I did was do a stand alone install of Bonjour. iTunes seems to be going through the process of updating Genius. I am keeping my fingers crossed at this point to hope it works. I believe the R6034 and the Error 2 instructions should be combined and organized in one discussion and explained a little better once all of this information is put together. As I said, I have dealt with EVERY issue that you all have talked about so far, and I think I finally have it figured out between all of the suggestions in the two different support chats. Between the help that you have given and the help that turingtest2 has given, when put all together and done in the correct order, seems to fix the issues. I understand that not every scenerio can be known and updates can create uncommon issues, but I would like to thank you two for sticking it out and helping me. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help you two put this together so we can help other users as quick as possible.

Error message when installing iTunes on Windows 7, "Apple Application Support was not found, Error 2"

I can successfully download iTunes on my PC, but receive an error message when I try to install the file: "Apple Application Support was not found... Error 2" I've tried deleting the file and reinstalling it to no avail. Any ideas?

When I try to open Firefox I receive this message, "Application has failed to start because ssl3.dll was not found." HELP!

I've been using Firefox for about 3 years. Today, I ran a scan of my computer Webroot Anti Virus and deleted all "risky stuff" they checked. Don't know if this is a coincidence but right after the scan I could not open Firefox. I receive the message, "Application has failed to start because ssl3.dll was not found. Reloading application may remedy this." I reloaded Firefox, the current version, clicked on open and received the same message. I've reloaded Firefox 3 more times with the same results. Now I need HELP.

See if you can make Webroot restore that file in the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\).<br />
If not then you need to reinstall Firefox and make sure that Webroot doesn't do that another time.

I have downloaded itunes to my computer which is windows 7 and I get an error 2 which says Apple Application Support was not found does anyone know how to overcome this error?

Install 7-Zip (free), or a free trial of WinRAR, and use one of them to extract the contents of the iTunesSetup.exe or iTunesSetup64.exe installer file, then try installing AppleApplicationSupport.msi as a standalone component. Even if it won't install you may get a more useful error message as to why not.

Hi gurus,
I have a report that has a parameter file. When I call the report the parameter form is displayed but after I enter the parameter values and click SUBMIT QUERY, I receive this error:
Error: The requested URL was not found, or cannot be served at this time.
Oracle Reports Server CGI - Reports Server name is not specified.
The following is the URL that displays the parameter form

Does anyone have an idea on how I can make this work.

Can you type the exact string into the Address line of a browser and make it work?
I've had this error when
1. Typos
2. & where I should have a ?
3. I didn't have access to the DNS name
4. I was using .runtime from Java and forgot to throw in leading ^ before the \ to make things carry through correctly in NT
Pounding away at the Address line is the easiest way I've found to solve this problem, since 99% of the time it's a typo or malformed URL attempted to be sent via http: invisibly from my app.
