    Installed Adobe lightroom cc 2015 a half an hour ago. Unfortunately it does not start. No error message - just nothing. Tried various compatibility modes. I'm logged into Win 8.1 with admin rights. Does anybody have an idea?

    Try signing out of the Creative Cloud app and then sign back in.
    1) Click on the gear icon.
    2) Select 'Preferences' and then sign out in the 'General' tab.
    3) Sign back in.
    4) Retry launching LR CC.

    Thanks but none of the options in that KB fix the problem.
    The "Exit Code" was 3 rather than "0" and so it doesn't look like the patch will install.  In terms of the third option, I mentioned in my original message that I cannot "Deactivate" my other CS6 programs because that option is grayed out in those programs.  But those programs work just fine (other than Acrobat Pro X) and so I think there may be a bigger problem with all of my Adobe products.

    I may have just solved my own problem. Right after posting this I googled bezel lightroom and found this: Flickr: Discussing The word 'bezel' appears in the taskbar. in Adobe Lightroom
    I changed the setting in the view menu and now everything appears to be working fine. I cannot explain why it stopped working before because I hadn't made any previous changes to the view options.
    Still am curious about the memory usage, though.

  • On my CC drop down menu why is it only Lightroom app that does not have CC

    I have historically used Lightroom as a single purchased product and recently I purchased Creative Cloud.
    As a new user I am very unfamiliar with things but I noticed On my Creative Cloud drop down menu containing a list of all my apps I noticed that each of my apps conclude with CC at the end.
    with other words
    Photoshop CC
    Bridge CC
    Edge Inspect CC
    Scout CC
    Lightroom NOTHING ?
    On my CC drop down menu why is it only Lightroom app that does not have CC at the end of Lightroom.
    Has the system recognised my old Lightroom and it has not installed a CC version or is this the same for everybody out there and if so why?

    Nothing to worry about. It's the same for everyone and it's normal.
    Lightroom does not follow the Cloud version numbering (yet). It's always had its own version numbering.
    When the Cloud was first released there was no Lightroom included.
    Adobe added Lightroom to the Cloud later but never added CC to the numbering. So yet another layer of confusion was added to the versioning of Cloud software.
    There are now two distinct versions of Lightroom:
    Lightroom 5.6 (perpetual license, does not include Lightroom Mobile)
    Lightroom 5.6 (Cloud which includes Lightroom Mobile)

  • PSE12 editor does not lunch

    Hi,
    I have an 3.6 GHz 4-core AMD and Windows7 64bit.
    I installed the PSE12 (not on C: partition) and at the beginning both, the organizer and the editor were working.
    But the installation has been influenced by the windows-update that has been installed at the same time in the background.
    I realized this after restart of the PC.
    All my links from desktop and in START were deleted and also the uninstaller entries.
    I removed the complete folder, cleaned the registry and installed PSE12 again (this time in the recommended Folder and with disabled Antivirus).
    Now the PSE12 editor does not lunch anymore. The organizer is still working.
    I installed also PSE12 using the downloaded installer from adobe. No effect.
    An installation of the PSE12-Trial-Version on another computer with the same OS is working properly.
    Maybe somebody experienced the same and found a solution.
    I am very grateful for any suggestions.

    I can most definitely ping the server from my desktop.   Downloading a script launches the Editor and it indicates that I am logged in.  Anyway to restart the MgrMgr without closing out and relaunching?

    Downloaded and installed with no issues, when I try to lauch the application I get a pop-up screen "Lightroom.exe - Application Error", "the application could not start correctly (0xc000007b).
    I'm using Windows 7 64bit.

    The error usually comes up if the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable dll gets corrupted.
    Please download the dll files from the following location (in solution 1) : http://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/error-unable-start-correctly-0xc00 007b.html
    and Extract the package contents to the following location: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Lightroom\
    If this does not work then you can follow the steps mentioned in Solution 2 of the above mentioned KB.

    This functionality does exist. Click on the microphone icon or video camera icon in the active video chat in order to select from the permissions drop down.

    LR 5.6 doesn't support the new Nikon D750. You have to wait to the next update.
    You con also install the release candidate of the DNG converter and convert your NEF files to dng.

  • Adobe Lightroom 3.2 does not show any images

    I just updated to Lightroom 3.2 this week. It worked fine the past few  days. Then last night, it started kind slow, then showed images shown in  Library grid/strip view for any images. But it still show meta data.  And no images in Develop tab. But if I move the mouse on the image area,  the RGB values in histogram (upper right) still changes with differnt  values. Just no images. And it still shows the shooting data.
    I reinstalled it twice and oit still behave the same.
    Then  I build a new catalog. I see images only in the pre-import screen. Once  a folder is imported, no images in this new catalog.
    I also  tried to clear cache, removed preferrance, and then create a new  catalog. When I tried to import my images, there is a little triangle  showing on top of each image, clicked and it said" Lightroom has some  difficulty import the image file".
    But PS CS5 Bridge and PS CS5  works just fine. I can actually right click on a grid (even though not  seeing the real image or preview) and edit in PSP CS5.
    BTW, the  day before yesterday's problem, I was watchng the new Lightroom tutorial  from this site (which I bought) and adjusted preference,... I don't  know whether such a change of setting may cause Lightroom having  difficulty seeing images.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    If  anyone know how to submit a support request to Adobe please let me know  too. I cannot find a way to get support free opf charge and I will not  pay for their crash.

    This happened to me before and did so again yesterday when I updated my NVidia drivers. NVidia evidently changes the display's color profile to "Use Windows display calibration." The solution is to reset the color profile for each of your displays back to what was set before. I am using Windows 7-64. This does not matter as for the ultimate solution, but getting to the proper dialog is easy:  click Start and in the search box type "color management." You should get the proper dialog box open with "Color Management" at the top. When I have had this problem it showed Device: Display 1 {its name}, no ICC Profiles in the ICC Profiles list area and "Use Windows display calibration" below. Click "Add..." and find your display profile in the list. There are very many. Mine were right at the very bottom. Pick it. Set it as default for your display. Repeat for other monitors, if any. ...and the pictures are viewable back in Lightroom!

  • Lightroom 5.6 does not run following latest CC Photoshop 2014 and Bridge updates

    I am running Creative Cloud Photography on OSX 10.9.4. Yesterday I updated Photoshop 2014 and Bridge using the CC desktop app as prompted by CC. Since then Lightroom does not run. When I open it the blue intro screen flashes up for less than a second. To try and recover I have uninstalled Lightroom (5.6) and re-installed it several times using both the CC app and directly from the Adobe website. The result is always the same. I can find nothing about this on Adobe Support although I can find others who have had the same symptoms on a web search. Their solution was to re-install Lightroom from the web site but that hasn't worked for me.  I had Lightroom installed before I went to CC and before CC included Lightroom in the Photography package. Does anyone understand this issue and can you please advise me what to try next? Many thanks.

    Okay, Solution 1 from this link Error "Unable to start correctly - 0Xc00007b" fixed it for me. But now it's asking me for the serial number which I can't find anywhere... shouldn't that go without with the cloud?

  • Lightroom 2.6 does not see CS-4 in Windows 7

    This issue is new with my laptop system. I installed CS-4 (32 and 64 bit) and Lightroom (64 bit-it says). All was working fine during my initial tests with images but I don't use the laptop frequently. Now that I am away from home and trying to take photos from Lightroom to Photoshop for advanced editing Lightroom does not see any of my Photoshop installations.
    Any ideas??

    Even though this happens with Google Chrome as well, try trouble shooting Safari extensions...
    From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
    If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.
