Lightroom CC 2015 doesn't open

I just installed Lightroom but it doesn't open.
Nothing
Appear UP TO DATE, all ok.
Can I do something ?

I understand that this issue is a common issue for many of us. You know that all of us users would be very sorry to loose the ability to track all the photographs on several HD’s, if something goes wrong.

After you have installed CC must uninstall Lr 5.
So will works.
Was the same problem at me with Win 7 and it works !

Lightroom cc 2015 will not open after install today, 4/24/15

Today, 4/24/15, downloaded and installed Lightroom cc 2015 on my WIN 7 Dell 8300 Desktop machine. The Icon appears on the desktop but it won't open. I located the .exe file and double clicked on it and it won't open either. The installed program listing indicates that Lightroom was installed today but it won't open. I am currently running Lightroom 5.x, Photoshop cc 2015 and they still boot ok; they were also updated this afternoon. Anybody have the same experience and figure out what needs to be done to fix the install?

Lightroom CC 2015 won't open. Splash screen shows briefly then closes. No error msg.

After downloading Lightroom CC 2015 the program won't open. I have removed Lightroom 5 and gone through the first three recommended fixes. Do not find the cleaner log file mentioned.

Lightroom CC (2015) will not open

Installed Lightroom CC (2015) and the app will not open. OS is OS X Yosemite 10.10.3

OK, just found the solution on one of the other forums: DON'T "quit" CC you must sign out instead
Click on your CC icon.
Click on the gear icon.
Click on Preferences.
Sign out of CC.
Sign back in.
Don't click on "Quit."
I had been QUITTING CC and relaunching. Try signing out.
This worked and everything seems to be fine. Dave

Lightroom 5.5 doesn't open after update using CC - how to proceed?

After update, that appeared to proceed normally, and did not report any errors in CC, I'm unable to open Lightroom (both using the desktop icon, and double clicking on the .exe file). Absolutely nothing appears to happen when I click. Same situation after reboot (Win 7).
Please advice!

Edit in Photoshop CS5 from Lightroom 3.2 doesn't open file in Photoshop

I've just made a complete fresh install of Lightroom 3.2 and Photoshop CS5 extended on my new iMac (OS 10.6.4, x64)
Now I'm trying to edit raw-files in Photoshop CS5.
Normally a popup should appear to ask in which format the photo should be opened in PS.
But no popup is shown, Photoshop starts immediately, but without actually opening the photo.
If I configure Photoshop as secondary editor this problem does not appear, and everyting works fine.
But in that case I miss the option for a secondary editor like for example DxO...
What to do?

I can't help you with your primary problem, as I'm not a CS5 user.
But regarding your second concern with having CS5 as a secondary editor and therefore not having the option for additonal external editors:
You can have as many external editors as you like, e.g. CS5 as one, DXO as one, Nik Viveza as one and so on. All you have to do is create different External Editor Presets in Preferences for each desired external editor.

Lightroom 3 Beta doesn't open Catalogs from Lr 2...

I just downloaded Lr 3 beta from Adobe :Labs and was trying to open my catalog, the one I was using in Lr 2. However it says that Lr 3 Beta does not recognize Lr 2 Catalogs....
Any ideas?

Lightroom 3 beta will not upgrade Lightroom 1.x or Lightroom 2.x catalogs. The beta is intended to be
used for testing and feedback purposes. Lightroom 1.x, 2.x and 3 beta libraries will be able to be
migrated to the finished version of Lightroom 3.
From the release notes. It is a good idea to read these in full, particularly when using a Beta.

Lightroom 3.6 doesn't open

Just downloaded Lightroom 3.6 after I had a problem opening Lightroom 3.5 which I've been using for a few months. When I open the program I get a select catalog dialogue box. If I choose a photo to open I get a runtime error on the program. I downloaded 3.6 hoping it would solve the issue and the exact same thing is happening. Any solutions out there? I'm running Windows Vista.

Thanks for the advice. I've seen this solution on the forum previously,
however, I have searched my computer for the routing to the
AppData/roaming......preferences file and cannot find it. A search using
the suffix for the agprefs file also comes up empty. I cannot find the old
catalogs in the My Pictures/Lightroom folder. The only files there are
catalog preview files.
I've uninstalled and re-installed Lightroom twice and the problem still
exists. Any other thoughts?

Lightroom 4.4 doesn't open

I downloaded the LR 4.4 update and get an error message "lightroom quit unexpectedly". Does this with CS6 download as well. Updates from other software providers work fine. Only Adobe software has this issue. Running OS 10.8.3 on a MacPro 6 core. Solution?

After going back into Lightroom/Preferences for the thousandth time, all of a sudden instead of having PhotoshopElements11.exe as the only logical choice, I now had a folder within the Adobe folder called Photoshop Elements 11 (that had its own special Adobe folder icon) and within that folder was no longer "Photoshop Elements11.exe" but now "Photoshop Elements Editor"! That, of course, was what I was looking for all along. Once that was selected within Preferences, Elements now pops-up with an image ready for editing. I'm not sure why Photoshop Elements Editor is now a choice when it wasn't last night. I had already performed re-installs of both products, several re-boots etc. and never had Editor as a choice. I hadn't even shut down my PC overnight either! I was beginning to think that Editor was only a Mac term and that Win7 used some other name that I had yet to discover. Maybe my PC was just waiting for 2013 :-). All is well.

Photoshop CS3 doesn't open or error occurs, when you Edit in Photoshop CS3 from Photoshop Lightroom 2

Problem: When you try to Edit in Photoshop CS3 from Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2, Photoshop CS3 doesn't open, or after Photoshop opens, you see the error message, "Photoshop could not be launched".
This issue is currently being investigated. At present, there are two possible areas that might be causing this issue. Corrupted metadata or a corrupted catalog, or Photoshop CS3 has not been updated to 10.0.1, or the update did not apply correctly to the application.
We are working for a permanent solution for this issue.

Lightroom CC 2015 crashes on Start Up - Solution doesn't work

I am experiencing the reported problem where Lightroom CC 2015 crashes immediately on start up displaying the splash screen for a fraction of a second. I have tried signing out of and back in to Creative Cloud as recommended but the fault persists. One this should not be happening with an Adobe product and secondly a better fix is required.

Support fixed the issue for me.
He looked into the Windows Event viewer and found the faulting path
Faulting module path: C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\ig7icd64.dll
and renamed it ig7icd64old.dll
On restarting Lightroom he turned off the use graphic enhancement option in preferences.
Not seen this solution anywhere in the forums so I asked him to post it but not sure if he will.

Lightroom CC 2015 will not start

Downloaded and installed Lightroom CC 2015 on PC running Windows 8.1. The program would not start with all usual methods. Restarted computer several times and also uninstalled and reinstalled Lightroom CC 2015. It should be noted that Lightroom 5.7.1 seems to operate normally. I see one other person has experienced similar problems. Any help would be appreciated.

The solution for most folks is to open their Creative Cloud App, click the gear, click Preferences, Sign Out and then Sign back in.

I downloaded PS cc 2014, LR cc 2015 and LR 5. LR cc 2015 will not open. I have tried signing out and in and reloading. No succes.

"Edit in Photoshop CC" launches Photoshop, but doesn't open the image.

I'm working on a Mac with Lightroom 5 and Photoshop CC. When I select "Edit in Photoshop CC" from Lightroom, Photoshop launches, but the image doesn't open up. What is going on? This is a new problem since loading Lightroom 5 & Photoshop CC - it worked normally on my machine with previous versions.

I've been dealing with this problem for almost a month now and still no solution. Here's what I've tried:
- Installed PS 2014 with pre-existing PS CC and LR 5.5 with pre-existing LR 5.4. Then...
- Uninstalled LR 5.5 and PS 2014, reinstalled PS2014 first, LR second. Didn't work.
- Did the opposite - reinstalled LR5.5 first, PS2014 second. Didn't work.
- Removed PS CC and LR 5.4, reinstalled LR 5.5 and PS 2014 (in both orders). Didn't work.
- Removed everything Adobe from the computer:
   - Creative Cloud, PS CC, PS 2014, LR 5.4 and 5.5
   - Deleted everything I could find relating to PS CC, PS 2014, LR 5.4 and 5.5.
   - Ran AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool.exe to remove all traces.
   - Reinstalled Creative Cloud, PS 2014 and LR 5.5. Didn't work.
   - Uninstalled PS 2014 and LR 5.5, reinstalled in reverse order. Didn't work.
One clue to the problem I stumbled across by accident leads me to believe the problem is something to do with ACRaw. If I try to open a JPG in LR 5.5 it opens fine in PS 2014. However if I try to open a RAW file (Nikon's NEF format) I get the "The file could not be edited because Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 could not be launched" message.
This is driving me buggy. Without the ability to go back and forth between LR and PS, the whole workflow is ruined.
Any new thoughts?
