Lightroom cc not working

I have downloaded LR CC but nothing is working, no brush tab, no face detection, etc...

Some have found that logging out of the CC desktop app, then back in again, fixes the problem

    Hello, I just got my MBP yesterday and I am trying out aperture and I have to say that I´m loving it, however I am having a small problem, though the .DNG converted in lightroom from my Nikon D200 and the .RWLs from my Leica D-Lux 5 are showing perfectly the .DNGs converted in lightroom from my .RWLs are not working, I have Aperture 3.1.1 and CameraRAW 3.5.0
    I tried using the Adobe DNG Converter with all possible settings with no luck at all.
    Any ideas?

    Aha. So it is a matter of "saving" the files you already have? If you created the DNG with the option to embed the original, you should be able to retrieve the original with DNG converter.
    If you did not, I think conversion to tiff is the best option. You may want to keep the DNG as well, however, at least for critical photos. The DNG will contain much more image data than your converted tiff files. In many cases, that will not matter at all, as the tiff anyhow contains all the info that is needed. However, with overexposed or underexposed photos, or photos where the white balance is off, the DNG may contain data you may actually need.

    What isn't working? Explain a little bit about the problem. Also, what OS, what version of Lightroom, a few details to help us understand your situation really helps. If the problem is that you can't see the tool when it's activated, try pressing the H key which is the toggle switch to hide/show the tool. Another thing to look at is the the flow adjustment on the tool. Without more information, I could guess and guess and guess. But I would just be wasting my time and yours.

  • Develop module in Lightroom CC not working

    I've just installed Lightroom CC& used it to create a panorama and a HDR, both of which were successful. I then tried to edit them in the Develop module but was rewarded with a blue screen where the image should be; I then found that this happened to all the images I tried to edit.
    I then imported the panorama and HDR to Lightroom 5.7, and tried to edit them - successfully. So it works in Lightroom 5.7, but not in CC - does anybody know what's happening?

  • GPU acceleration in Lightroom 6 not working

    Hi,
    Any ideas how do I turn on GPU acceleration in Lightroom 6?
    I meet the minimum requirements (Win 7 x64, 1GB VRAM, OpenGL 6.1 ) and as advised in "learn more" I did check my graphic driver which is at the latest version.
    Still I am getting message: "GPU acceleration was disabled due to errors"

    You can also install an "old" version from april 2014 (V 14.4) which works with Lr6 after having un-installed your actual actual drivers.

  • Help! I tried to import my Elements 8.0 catalog into my trial of Lightroom 4, not working!

    Please someone help me! I downloaded a trial of Lightroom 4 and went to import my Elements 8.0 catalog.  It says that it did do it, but with errors...and now when I open Lightroom, all my pictures just show up as grey squares.  If I try to import pictures individually, it says that Lightroom already has all my pictures in the Library.  Does anyone know a solution?     That's a mysterious one!  What type of files are the ones with the grey thumbnails?  They're not PNG files or something like that?
    If they're definitely a supported file type (JPEG, PSD, TIFF, camera raw file), then try something for me.  Go to File menu > New Catalog and create a quick test catalog somewhere.  Then just try importing one of the photos previously in your Elements catalog - set it to Add at Existing Location so it doesn't mess up your main catalog.  That will confirm that the photos are ok.
    If that works, find your upgraded catalog on the hard drive, close LR and rename the Previews.lrdata file to something else temporarily.  Then reopen LR and see if you can now see the thumbnails.

    Hi, in a previous forum i wrote about my Lightroom 3 that stopped working the day after starting Time Machine on my iMac. It was a new formatted external hard drive, replacing an old one for my Time Machine. I have never had any previous problems, and didn't know they can't run together.
    A person replied that I have to uninstall my Lightroom 3 and reinstall. How do i stop this happening again ? I am very computer illiterate, so could someone point me in the right direction, with instructions how to uninstall on an iMac and reinstall. Will i loose all my keywords etc from the catalogue. I worked as a portrait photographer, so its important to still have that information for me. What should i do in regard to insuring i have everything I need backed up to an external hard drive, before I uninstall Lightroom 3. I'm scared to do uninstall until i know i have everything I should backed up.

    I tried that, it won't let me copy the backups to a new drive. At this point I am not concerned about continuing to back up, I can start a new TM backup if need be, I am more concerned about getting the old back up to a disk which I can then access once I exchange the Time Capsule.

  • Keywords in Adobe Bridge CC and Lightroom 5 not working

    I recently upgraded to Adobe CC. We use Bridge and Lightroom regularly to tether while shooting, batch process and search for images. I have noticed that files I have keyworded in Bridge will randomly lose the keywords attributed with them. When we shoot tethered to lightroom we will keyword as we shoot but those keywords do not show up in Bridge. This is a huge issue for us. We have thousands of images and plan on using bridge as a tool for our designers and marketing team to search seamlessly for photos based on keywords. If they are randomly disappearing or not carrying through from Lightroom to Bridge it becomes completely unmanageable and completely out of our hands. And a completely useless tool. Any suggestions?

    Keyword list in Adobe system, bridge and lightroom, need standardizing. That's what I feel.

  • Manually Sort in Lightroom 3 not working

    I am using lightroom 3 on a mac.  I am in a catalog folder (not a collection) and my "user order" is greyed out under the sort options. I can not drag and drop to reorder images.  I am trying to create a slide show and customize the sort order.
    What am I doing wrong?

    i have been using Lightroom 5 for months but suddenly my adjustment brushes aren't working at all.
    ive tried quitting and relaunching and restarting the computer.  i have done the recent update and am wondering if it is since then. i use a Mac. any advice on what to try??

    there is actually no error message or anything to show you. i can still brush the tool over etc...it just doesn't apply anything ie; skin softening or iris enhance.  It even still gives me the pin spot for where ive used it. I can move all the sliders etc...just no changes to the image

    If you haven't done so download and install LR4.3, which is the latest release. Next go into LR Preferences and under 'General' check 'Treat JPEG files next to raw files as separate files,' since I assume you want to import both raw CR2 and JPEG files. If you still get the same message connect the camera direct with a USB cable and try importing again.

    Have you tried to create a collection within Lr Desktop and enable this one for sync via context menu or with help of the little checkbox beside the collection folder
