Lightroom Error Message: Please help!

Hello,
When in the develop module, when I click on create virtual copy, I get the following error message:
An internal error has occured. Attempted to close a session with a pending transaction.
I would greatly appreciate your help fixing this problem so I can use my program.

I'm in the same situation exactly. I would like to delete, uninstall LR, and then reinstall to see if that will go anywhere. Will I loose my option for a second computer install later???

Lightroom Error message when trying to import photos.

I have a Canon 6D and Apple laptop with latest versions of software that I am aware of. Tonight I tried to import images from Micro SD card (inserted directly into laptop) but each time I am getting an error message stating that it can not read my files. It has previously downloaded files from this camera and memory card. The error message is generally giving the number 337 but has also given 555 and 1. I am not sure what has changed and do not know how to fix it. I have tried leaving the SD card in the camera and connecting it directly to the laptop via the cable and it gives the same message. I have also tried googling these error codes but can't make out specifics of the problem and how to fix it.

The “Cannot be Read” message when using LR to import directly from the card or camera means the DESTINATION you have specified in LR is not writable by LR. LR first copies the files to that destination, then LR tries to read the files from there, and it is the second step, the read, that gives the error.
Check your destination and make sure it is where you intend LR to be importing the files to off the card, and make sure it is writable.

Can't start lightroom--error message

Lightroom gives the following message: "Lightroom encountered an error when reading from its preview cache and needs to quit." The program shuts itself down. When I try to restart Lightroom, I get the same message. How can I start lightroom?

I can't open my Lightroom. I keep on getting the message:

This has happened before.
I also can't get my Plug-ins (like Topaz and onOne) to work within Photoshop CC and Lightroom.
Not the first time this has happened.
Any suggestions?

I apologize. I should've told you to delete the folder with the same name as your catalog. So you want to delete the folder named Lightroom 5 Catalog Previews.lrdata.

If you are having the same problem, i.e. a disk permission problem, open your favorite search engine and search on, "change disk permissions", and I think you'll find plenty of information on how to fix the problem. This is a Lightroom forum. Your problem is with your operating system. There is no sense in rewriting instructions that are already available if you do a simple search.

I cannot open a file from lightroom into CC2014 unless I open it as a smart object. CC opens, just will not display my image. i am given an error code when I save an image, and can only save to my desktop or other locations, not automatically back into my lightroom.
I am using LR5 latest update, as well as CC2014

I was also having this issue, and I did some more searching and found this answer in the Adobe forums: Re: Photos from Lightroom 5 to Photoshop CC (2014) and back.... The issue appears to be caused by having not updated Lightroom to the latest version prior to having CC2014 installed (wow that's stupid). The trick seems to be to uninstall Photoshop CC2014 and to then reinstall it after having upgraded to Lightroom 5.5.

Lightroom will attempt to fix this problem the next time it launches.' When you click ok the box goes away and windows attempts to fix the problem. Then I get a second error box that days the programme has stopped working and windows will notify me if a solution is available. I have tried restarting and updating the computer. I have checked that I have the most up-to-date Lightroom (version 5.7.1). I don't want to uninstall to redownload the software as I have 'work in progress' that I haven't exported yet.

Delete the Preview Cache folder. It is in the same folder the catalog is in. Usually in your UserName folder.

You need to delete your preview cache and have Lightroom rebuild it. Cache location can be found here.

Check this thread. Your Previews Cache files are corrupted.

Title says it all. Lightroom shuts down because it can't read from its preview cache.
