LightRoom Failing to Install : OS X 10.9.4

Hi - I've just subscribed today to Creative Cloud Photographer.
Photoshop Downloaded successfully but LightToom plus an additional patch for PS is failing to install with the following error
"Unable to reach Adobe servers. Please check your internet connectivity, firewall settings and then try again"
Internet is running fine and firewall settings have not changed between the original PS download and the failure of the LR download.
Is this a problem with the CreativeCloud servers or something I'm doing ??
Cheers

  • Lightroom fails to install.

My installations were going well going well until I tried to install Lightroom on my second computer. It said this: ERROR: DW006: Apple Package failed to install successfully. ERROR: Third party payload installer Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.pkg failed with exit code 1

It woud seem that you have sufficient disk space then.  I would recommend checking the file permissions on your temp directory to ensure you still have write access under your current User account.  Please see Error "Exit 6" or "Exit 7" | Install log | Read, write, system file errors | CS5, CS5.5 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-exit-6-exit-7.html for information on how to adjust file permissions.
You may also want to try creating a new local administrator account and attempting to install Lightroom 5 under this account.  This can be a great troubleshooting step to help determine if your file permissions for your current User account have become compromised.

  • Lightroom failed to install

During the intallation of LR PC crashed.  CC app states that Lightroom has installed but there is no LR icon and no way to launch.  There is also no uninstall program.

To clarify there is a blank icon on the desktop called Lightroom 5.7.1 64-bit, but the LR graphical icon is missing. It looks like a white piece of paper
When trying to run LR via the .exe in the LR folder I get an "Error 1" message.

  • The desktop on which I had Lightroom and PhotoshopCC installed failed and I no longer have access to it. How do I deactivate the software on those machines so that I can reinstall it on my new Mac?

Question: The desktop on which I had Lightroom and PhotoshopCC installed failed and I no longer have access to it. How do I deactivate the software on those machines so that I can reinstall it on my new Mac?

Absolutely - but I had no idea there were two versions. When I got my new laptop I just went to the Adobe site to download and install LR5. It never asked if I had a license; it just directed me to install CC to start a trial which I thought I could license after downloading. Several sessions and many hours of looking through the forums and Google for an answer I never ran across anything that made this distinction. I still haven't found a path from www.adobe.com that would get me to the standalone download page (it's probably there, wasn't obvious to me) and looking at the download page it doesn't make any CC/standalone distinction.
There are many places I could have gotten a hint - for instance the license could be tagged "stand alone edition", the CC-version could recognize the stand-alone key and either accept it or produce a more meaningful error message, or the download site or the CC app could ask if I had previously purchased a key, etc.
It was my error to assume this was a deactivation problem, but it looked the same as a previous deactivation problem with Photoshop.
In any event, thank you for your help.

created by golman75 in Creative Cloud Download & Install - View the full discussionHi everybody,
I live in Poland and use Polish version of Windows 8, but I don't mind using English Photoshop, Lightroom or whatever. I even prefere English version as it's easier to find tutorials etc.
Just a bit more info from Adobe would help or maybe even just highlighting such hot topics. Current Customer Care is a joke.
There are five or more sites linking to each other to finally ask you a question of "Still need help?"
This issue is probably a nightmare and takes place in 75% Ligtroom 5.3 CC installing sessions in EU where guys are using other languages than English.
I was struggling for two days with this issue. Funny thing is I was very close of fixing it in first hour of my way but....
If I didn't accidently find Mystad's link I'd probably spent rest of week trying to fix it.
    http://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/error-installing-lightroom-53.html    says:
Any languages chosen that aren't listed below can cause this error to occur:
English, Dutch, Spanish, French, Italian, Gernan, Brasilian Portuguese, Swedish, Japanese, Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional, Korean.
But it does not say there are 4 types of English on the list and in my case switching to English International does not work.
It does work with English (North America).
    Good luck!

  • Fail to install LR CC at all

    Hello
I bought the Photoshop & LR5 license and started installing everything this morning using the Adobe Application Manager.
Photoshop, Bridge and other software installed apparently correctly.
I cannot get LR 5 installed, i tried 4 times, each time it downloads, extracts and then fails in the installation.

    I have a Mac OS X 10.6.8
    Thanks for your help

I'd say the problem is that Lightroom 5.2 (which is what is installed by the cloud) is not compatible with 10.6.8. You should upgrade to Mavericks. It's free.

  • Just signed up for Ps & Lr cc Mac OSX 10.6.8 Lightroom won't install.

I was able to download and install Ps cc, but Lightroom appears to download, but fails to install. This is the error I am getting. I have tried several times even after a reboot, it fails.
