Lightroom failure to start download

Clcking on the Lightroom download button does not start the download. What am I doing wrong/
Nov 30: Tried again today to download Lightroom, but not response and no comment offered.

I was looking into the message you are getting when trying to install iTunes and have found a couple of articles that should help you get back up and running. If you are installing iTunes becuase you've just uninstalled the application, then there may be other files that need to be removed. This article named Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components outlines how to completely uninstall iTunes.

Link to Download LR 5 trial won't world - won't even start downloading!

I have singed in, checked my mac has enough space, done everything and when I click on download button it won't strat downloading! Seems like a website failure but I urgently need the programme for my course tomorrow... can anyone help me please?

After you click the download now button it starts by downloading or updating (replace) the Adobe Download Assistant. You then browse the products and select Photoshop Lightroom 5 to start the installation.
Or simply choose to save to your downloads folder, then unzip and run startup - Often you can double click the dmg folder to start installation and then enter your Apple ID and password.

I had never problems wih installation of lightroom. suddenly lightroom refuses to start when I try to from a picture i have taken with my nikon D500 and transferred to WINDOWS 8.1. i have tried to re-install lightroom : the procedure asks for the serieal number , but refuses to accept the number that always worked. If you are certain you have the right serial number, there really isn't much we can help you with here. You might try downloading and installing the last version of Lightroom 2. It will be the trial version, but when the trial screen appears there is an option to indicate that you have a serial number. Incidentally, Lightroom serial numbers start with the first four digits being 1160.

Try it one more time - unless you have tried it already more than once.If the message appears again, you have to re-install LR.You can download the latest version from Adobe using your Serial key #.WW

my serial says it does;t work with Version 9… so it must be for version 8, which I cannot locate to download.
what do I do now ????

You can download the trial version of the software thru the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.
Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site and have cookies enabled in your browser or else the download will not work properly.

As far as version 9 goes, if you never purchased it you shouldn't expect to be able to use it. If you check your Adobe account online you might be able to find whatever version you purchased identified there.

Lightroom doesn't start.

Lightroom doesn't start after updating to version 5.6 this morning. (OS X 10.9.4). The splash screen only shows up for a second.

I have the same problem with LR 5.6 downloaded through CC. Just see the LR splash screen and then a crash. I now remember had the same problem with LR 5.5 and solved it by downloading directly as the note suggests. When I get home will do the same with LR 5.6 and it will probably fix. Really disappointing that the bug is still there.

I think you're getting the wrong end of the stick.
Nothing to do with Lightroom not supporting your browser.
It's a download issue often resolved by using a different browser.
You could be downloading any software. This case just happens to be Lightroom. But it's not Lightroom's fault. It's the Adobe website.

I'm having the exact same problem with a dual core iMac. Absolutely driving me nuts...cleared out all my caches before starting; have restarted MANY times after every failure; plenty of RAM, plenty of GBs on HDD; all else updated and my broadband working fine.
Can anyone help on this?

Downlod lightroom does not start

i am using windows 7 on my computer and i tried to download a trial version of adobe photo lightroom 4. When i want to start download the program does not start downloading what do i wrong?

Have you tried a different web browser? It is likely your plug-ins, toolbars, or security settings are interferring with the download process.

Lightroom 3 install from downloaded version thru Adobe Store

I just bought a MacBook Pro for photo editing. I have the original disk for LR2 which I had installed on a Windows machine; I purchased the LR3 upgrade download from Adobe Store to also run on that Windows machine. This downloaded file is saved on that Windows computer as a .exe file.
When I tried to use it on the new Mac, the Mac OS doesn't recognize it.
I went to the Adobe store to download it again, maybe in Mac version, but the "Win/Mac" English version shows "not applicable"
However, "Mac multiple languages looks like it can be downloaded.
Do I need to install LR2 from the original disk, then down load the upgrade while on the Mac?

just to the side of this forum thread is a link that answered my question. Basically, on your Mac, go to the Adobe Store and download the full trial version of LR3 for Mac. It shows up as a dmg file. Install it and you put in your SN for your previously purchased LR3 upgrade; another box will then appear asking for your original LR purchase SN, since this is an upgrade. Put those numbers in and BAM! all done. Worked for me!

How do i get my ipod touch to download more than one app at a time, can i make it toware i dont have to wait for one app to download before it starts downloading another,

my ipod will only download one app at a time and runs extremely slow. i was wondering if there is some way that i can make it download more than one app at a time and how can i make the app start downloading again after i have left my wi-fi zone and then went back in. im really confused.

Download everything on your computer in iTunes, then sync your iPod to iTunes.
You should be syncing (backing up) to iTunes and your photo app regurally, anyway.

I had this same error and managed to get around it by running the .msi file that the CC app downloaded to a temp folder on my own. Steps were:
1. Find the location Adobe_Lightroom_X64.msi (in a a temp folder)
2. Run it and install (serial number was already pre-filled out)
3. Restart the CC desktop app
It then appeared as installed under ‘Your Apps’ and works as usual.

I started downloading a song from iTunes and then stopped it in the middle of the download cause it froze, but when I tried to redownload it, iTunes said the song was already downloaded. But it does not show up in my music library on my phone. Help?

I bought a song on iTunes and it started downloading but then about half way through it seemed to stop downloading so I pressed the square stop button in he middle of the downloading circle so that I could try and restart the download. But when I went back to iTunes, instead of having the cloud and the arrow to let me download the song from the cloud next to it, it said "Play" as if I had already downloaded the song. So I went back to my music library to try and find the song but it's not there and iTunes isn't letting me download it cause it says I already have it. Please help.

I cannot download a new Version because in my Purchased List the applicaiton (FaceTime) is still there, and because I have halted it it tells me to resume. I can’t, because the same thing is going to happen. I have tried all the various troubleshooting tips supplied by my ISP and also Apple Support with no luck. Not much consolation but even new products can have issues and might need a trip to a store to return/replace.
The reason i asked about the LED on the AppleTV is that occasionally it thinks it's paired with a specific remote and ignores others - the unpair keypress I described is quick and free.
